If you wish to hear them do gospel, listen to them sing How Great Thou Art. It's gorgeous and so is scenery. They picked the spot while on European tour.

There’s also a version of How Great Thou Art that the gents did when one of their outdoor concerts was canceled due to rain & lightning. They went to the tent/shelter where the fans were & sang the song without ANY electronics. I’ve never heard that many avid fans be that quiet for that long. These gentlemen love & appreciate their fans. That’s why we love them so much!! 😊

Yes, Adam is just that good...I've seen them in concert 3 times, the last being April 19th in Ft Myers, FL....it was well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive from my home here in Miami.

Adam's "no-monica" and Chance's jaw harp are pretty cool on this one!
As far as gospel, they've done "How Great Thou Art", "Amazing Grace", "Angels We Have Heard On High", "Do You Hear What I Hear", "Mary Did You Know", and many others. ALL phenomenal!

Adam (beatboxer) is that good. He was doing the harmonica, drums and other sounds. Chance (back left) was doing the mouth harp sound. When they’re live Austin (lead here) joins Adam in doing the harmonica. They can all beatbox to a degree. All talented men. Watch Adam Rupp Drum Solo (2015) to see Adam with only a microphone doing drums. Good reaction! You should watch their new song Chance wrote for a pirate game called Skull and Bones. It’s a banger!😍

Yes that is Adam’s voice doing what Home Fries call the “NOMONICA” and you’re one of the few reactors that picked up on Chance’s jaw harp vocal, most reactors call it the Aussie digerydoo. Great reaction and glad to hear your going to more Home Free, you have a blessed day

Adam Rupp is THAT good. He is world class, next level beat boxer/vocal percussionist. He is self taught and has been honing his craft for over 20 years. He does a solo set at every concert they do and never fails to get a standing O. He is creative, electrifying and exciting. The guys could sing the birds out of the trees. No genre they can't tackle and absolutely crush. This is the song that hooked me in and pulled me down the Home Free rabbit hole and I have no interest in escaping. The deeper it goes, the more awesome the music. Great reaction! I'm afraid you're hooked, as well. lol It's a fun ride!

What Home Free can and do is so amazing. They really took this song to another level. One by one they are an important puzzle piece that together makes a complete perfect puzzle. I couldn't miss one of them. Especially Adam with his incredibly good no-monica. He must just be an alien🤭😉. But I also think that you should not underestimate Chance's contribution to this song, because his Jaw Harp sounds really great. And I like that part of Rob (couldn't even type what exactly he said) in between😅
Speaking of gospel, they also call Rob GospelRob. And Austin used to travel around as a kid with his father who was a gospel singer.
And I find that in many songs they have a gospel element. It is also regularly asked when they will release a gospel album.😊

My friend you have just begun a wonderful journey! Everything they do is gold from silly to serious and everything in between.
We call their covers upgrades; their collaborations are simply wonderful where they love to let the featured artist(s) really shine; and their originals will have you crying with laughter or just crying because they move you with the depth of the lyrics and harmonies.
    Home Free never disappoints!

Not Blue Grass. The song is a very old Folk Song. (A slave bidding farewell to all he knows and loves) before he runs for freedom.
That is him! Every sound you hear is voice produced.

Yep, that's Adam doing the nomonica. They've done church songs, mostly for Christmas. A few you might like to check out are: Away in a Manager, O Holy Night, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, Silent Night, and one that's rarely reacted to, What Child is This (has all 6 singing).

This is one of the most popular Home Free songs. It was the first song I ever heard from Home Free & I was instantly hooked. It really showcases the talent of these 5 men (their tight harmonies & Tim Foust's bass & Adam Rupp's incredible beatboxing). They are my favorite a cappella group. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.

Austin can do a little "nomonica" playing, too. When they do "Ain't Goung Down til the Sun Comes Up" live....Austin helps out to help amplify the sounds Adam is making. Watch for their new release tomorrow...."Playing With Fire". It's one of my favorites from the "So Long, Dixie" album.

Seriously if you are interested just search Home Free, find a song of a genre you like and you will not be disappointed. They won the Sing Off in 2013. This is a deep rabbit hole worth investigating. Not suggesting you react to every song. You will find they tailor the songs to the best voice of the group that matches . Examples: boys to men - End of the Road, Man of Constant Sorrow, Brothers in Arms, Hopelessly Hoping (Crossby Stills & Nash), Go Rest High on that Mountain, How Great Thou Art, American Pie ft. Don McLean, God Bless the U.S.A. (featuring Lee Greenwood and The United States Air Force Band), Original Home Free What's Left Of My Heart, Mary Did You Know, When a Man Loves a Woman, The Butts Remix, Listen To The Music and the list goes on...... Quite a few genres listed above to provide a cross section. They are not just Country, they do sing quite a bit of it, but these boys are gifted beyond country and tackle whatever they choose and do it with excellence, they do not do anything half assed. subscribed
Home Free's interpretation for their videos for the vast array of genre they perform is sensational and very entertaining. They have videos that are serious and sincere to funny and hilarious and often catch us the audience discerning that a great amount of thought went into producing to enhance the message in the delivery. They bring an emotional aspect that is fresh and thought provoking each time. They are very intentional and deliver with excellence. They simply don't put out junk, they bring it with a very high end and are very deliberate with their message of their productions.❣

This is such a good video - the song, singing, beatboxing & harmonies are, as always, perfect. Insofar as gospel, when Austin (lead singer on this one) was a kid he sometimes traveled and sang with his father's gospel quartet in Georgia. Their videos of "My Church" and collaboration with The Oak Ridge Boys on "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" are terrific.

"Is he that good?" Oh, yeah. I think my favorites are his brushes (phenomenal) and his castanets in the Sea Shanty Medley. If you haven't seen any of his solo videos, I will suggest this one: ua-cam.com/video/Recb3beYqTg/v-deo.html But there are lots of different versions out there. In his most recent ones he uses a looper so he can harmonize with himself over the drumline. Freakin' amazing in person. I think the most "gospely" of their videos is their collab with Kenny Rogers on Children, Go Where I Send Thee. They also have impressive versions of How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace. The last one is a collab with Peter Hollens and is on his channel.

True when you say they are "unique," I've never cared too much for country music until I found these guys. They spice it up and can do just about any genre too, and unique they are because there's not just 1 lead guy, 4 of the 5 can lead, and they work so well together, the beatboxer does most of the drum sounds, but I know they all put some into it as well. Chance stands in the bass spot when Tim sings, he can do bass as well and both of them together sound like a church organ. I've seen Tim beatbox and Rob has beatboxed before when Adam is singing, and their harmonies together are just crazy good! I've been to many shows when they come near I try to go. You really don't waste your money seeing them live, they put on an awesome show. And yes the harmonica sound comes out of the beatboxer. I've seen them do this song live. We call it his Nomonica because there is no harmonica, but the sound is a harmonica.

Great observations! Not many people catch that it's Chance doing the jawharp. Home Free gospel-style tunes: Their collaboration with Peter Hollens, Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (on Hollens' channel); with Texas Hill: Go Tell It on the Mountain and Giving Up on You. All are fantastic.

This was a great reaction. You should also hear Geoff Castellucci's version of Man of Constant Sorrow. Geoff is the Bass singer from Voiceplay and is actually the one who arranged Nothing Else Matters. Your reaction to that song is how I found you. It's been mentioned, but worth a second mention: Do You Hear What I Hear, arranged by Adam Rupp. Phenomenal, nothing else like it. The description used to have an arrangement explanation by Adam, explaining his thought process.
I've read "somewhere" in a Comments section that HF does not want to put out a gospel album in fear of being pigeonholed. (Part of HF'S appeal is their broad base of different genres and their message of being kind & good to everyone.) Sad commentary that any show of faith automatically sticks you into only one category.

If you know the old Crosby, Stills and Nash song, “Helplessly Hoping”, I stringing suggest the Home Free cover.
It’s very much the same as the original and 100% different.
Along with “How Great Thou Art”, it’s their best harmony focused song.
