- Food prep and how to build your plate with the components that you have made. I'll be showing you can build two meals that you can put together in minutes from the food prep that I had done earlier in the week. This video is great for beginners or anyone that struggles with building a well balanced plate.

PLANT BASED CHEESE SAUCE RECIPE
1 Yukon gold potato
1 carrot
1 to 1 1/2 cups cauliflower
1 tsp each salt, onion powder, garlic powder
1 T lemon juice
4 to 5 T nutritional yeast
1/4 cup soy milk or any unsweetened plant milk
1 to 1 1/2 cup cooking water
Chop potato, carrot and cauliflower
Add to a pot of water, bring to boil and simmer for 15 minutes or until fork tender.
Scoop out the veggies and add to a blender, retain the cooking water in case you need more water to thin sauce..
Add the rest of the ingredients and blend well pour into a glass jar and let cool and store in the fridge for 7 to 10 days.
OIL FREE HUMMUS RECIPE
1 can garbanzo beans rinsed and drained
1/2 cup aquafaba
2 cloves garlic
3 T tahini
juice of one lemon
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Add all the ingredients into a high speed blender for 2 minutes. It is very important to blend for a full 2 minutes to achieve the perfect consistency.

Hi Debbi! Love the food prep videos. Period. I have been doing them along with you. So very helpful. I see that you’re taking castor oil. I must have missed something in one of your videos where you mentioned that. Can you tell me a little bit about that and why and how often you take it?much appreciated!
I use castor oil externally only. I use it for liver detox with a castor oil pack and on my skin and eyelashes.

I don't make my own. I use the one from Trader Joes. Any brand will do. I try to find one that is oil free.

My problem is getting a variety on my plate, instead of a lot of one food. I am getting better though. I now try to have some beans and a vegetable with my potatoes or rice. Thanks for posting this video!

I have to say that I’ve been trying to eat vegetables, fruits and starches. I pack my stomach but it feels like it’s full of styrofoam. I don’t feel satisfied until I eat Raisin Bran or whole wheat English muffins with butter and jam. I won’t give up yet though
If you need to eat raisin bran to feel satisfied then do so. A whole wheat English muffins is fine but I would use some PB2 and jam on it instead of the butter. PB2 is just powdered peanut butter that you add water to, to get a peanut butter consistency. It has a lot less fat and calories then regular peanut butter. Also eat until you are comfortable full so you are not overeating. If you feel hungry again in a couple of hours then eat again just make sure it is whole food plant based and low in fat.
@@ChewonVegan Thank you for the encouragement and advise for alternatives. I feel like inflamation has gone down but still need to be careful of calories
