We will be doing another more in depth review, so please let me know if there is anything specific you would like me to cover, thanks!
In my opinion, the most beautiful watch.
instablaster
For those who don’t know, the same engineers who designed the Rolex Daytona 4130 movement also designed the B01 movement. They just made it better and more modular.
By far one of the most beautiful striking watches ever made.
Got this myself. Love it, dream watch for 5 years and finally bought it!
congrats on finally getting your dream watch !!!!

I m still struggling to buy this
Some day 🙂
need another 10 years to buy it ;)
Never liked this watch in my younger days but I'm starting to appreciate the looks more as i get older.
Last year I got the 45 mm Navitimer Rattrapante (B03) with the wings logo. Such a fantastic watch and piece of jewelry ... sometimes I find myself wearing it without even setting the date or time.
Looks almost dressy on a leather strap. A beauty. Also ‘reeks of quality’. I’d like to look into Breitling a bit more. Don’t see so many of them featured on UA-cam watch channels. Thanks for the video!
I hope to be featuring more on the channel. Its nice having the lender relationship with Saltzmans
Bruce Williams Great, look forward to that.
I have the Navi A23322 with a modified ETA, it was my all time grail and i never fall out of love with it. I didn't believe there is such a thing as an exit watch, but since i have it it ended the hunt. i am now a free man!!
I applaud you
I am the same case, my friend. It was love at first sight. I have been owning it for over 13 years, and they remain so accurate and so beautiful. That purchase was a real BINGO.
Such a beautiful watch! It's an icon for a reason. Great video!
Thank you. I think you are right. It doesn't attain icon status because of time. The model has to really impress
Bruce Williams True.
I'm a big fan of Breitling and I really don't get why they are so underrated. The build quality of their timepieces is just great! I've got a Chronomat flying fish on a bracelet and people tell me how my watch looks so good all the time. I got a great discount from an AD.
Love the watch. I have one on the way as we speak. I have to agree with the others, Golden Wings for me.
I have been in love with this watch for YEARS… excellent review
Brietling is one of my favourite watch brand .It is a big name in watch industry ,it is a very popular high end high horology watch designed for the life time of the owner.I like the yellow gold and white gold Brietling logo .
Beautiful watch. My wife got me the Limited Edition Pan American with the brown face as a wedding gift last month. I was blown away when I took it out of the box! Great review!
This navitimer looks good ans still gives the owner the feeling of an amazing Pilots Instrument. But the wing logo is somehow missing. Thank god I found a Navitimer with the winged logo in the store yesterday and bought it directly. I hope Mr. Kern will finally admit this mistake and change it again
That's in my top 5 favorite all time watches. Maybe top 3 along with Submariner and Speedmaster Professional.
The latest iterations are quite cool. Stripped down a little to declutter and a return of the wings. Nice to look at a watch that is an icon in its own right not derivative of other styles. The copper, green, ice blue are cool while the traditional panda and reverse panda are all smart looking pieces. Cool vintage vibes and a true icon in the watch world.
What a great review! Love all the new breitling models , definitely check out the premiere when you get a chance.
I'll add it to the list, thanks Juan
@Tom The Fish they do sell, according to my AD the new premier model sell Farley quick, you can tell by chrono24 pricing that they are holding value fairly well for not being rolex haha ...
@Tom The Fish over produce, supply and demand...mind u, this was in 2017 . Im referring to post 2018 under kern and cvc Capitol. Its important to note breitling remain one of the few luxury watch makers that are still somewhat independent with the snyder family owing 49 percent of the company
@Tom The Fish I wasn't aware Breitling went bankrupt. The family sold to CVC and with Kerns looking to expand the brands appeal and market share. Hopefully they don't alienate their core fans.
Saving for one.. tried it on at a Breitling AD last week. It’s gorgeous! It dwarfs my 116710LN Rolex GMT. It’s so damn appealing!!!
Makes me sad that the wings have gone 😭
No se si sepas , pero antes el signo era nada más una B y después cambió a las alas , y ese modelo ya es viejo , por eso tiene la B
I got my when Schneider’s Family was in charge with solid gold wings back 2015 with B01 Movement.

Love their straps. Great looking watch. Another good review. Trying to get out of watches as a hobby but your videos keep bringing me back.
lol oh no!
Bruce Williams all was good when watches were three figures. Too many hobbies and not enough love to spread. 😎🤣
@@MM-bg7in I get that haha
Sold a lot of my Rolexes two years ago and was trying to buy more but then Covid it happened which is history now but I was forced to buy other watch so I went with this exact same watch I just ordered a different leather band alligator so it’s even more shiny but I am obsessed with this watch looks very very nice and it looks different in live. I agree with you
Great piece Bruce. Looking forward to seeing some more Breitling pieces too 👍
Looks amazing in your footage. The winged logo would add so much balance to the top of the dial. It's a shame its gone.
It is too bad
Thumbs up already for your Intro! A comparison with the Sinn would be really great!
I had a Navitimer 46mm blacksteel with the old logo. Loved it. Nobody knows what that is but I got lots of attention with it.
Bruce, I have been watching this video for several times. I really enjoy it again and again, especially the cool intro 👍 Thanks for your effort you are spending on making the videos. And of course the Navitimer is one of the coolest watches on the market 😎
There's so many good looking Breitlings that it's daunting trying to pick just one but this one with blue dial and black sub dials is on my list.
Excellent watch!
I love the B logo
Man, I'm not really a chronograph guy, but wow! That is a great looking watch. I will be checking into them more. Thanks
the superoceans are also really nice if your into divers I like the superocean herritage myself
Excellent presentation, Bruce! Always excited to see your Breitling videos.
Thank you!
Great review! Much preferred the winged logo, sad to see it go
Winged logo was excellent.
Got me the NT 46 with the golden wings logo... it is awesome!
Breitling logo with the wings is iconic. New logo without wings is like a bird or a plane with no wings lol
I have a Super Ocean Heritage II chronograph B01 with silicone rubber straps. The comfort is really even at a higher level!
thats a amazing looking watch, one of my dream watches and one I really really be trying to get for my channel to do a review on
The 46mm will be the gift I gave myself when I'm done studying
Love the Wings logo. Kinda hate the B. too simple and predictable
Brandon Favia Agreed! They should bring back the wings logo!
In my opinion much better with the simple B .Much more classy and clean !
Agreed. The wings logo looks great, especially on the Navitimer. On the other hand, I think the B logo works better on a SOH2
They should use the B on divers only.
Same here. Gotta buy used now
I really love the Navi. I’ve owned many Breitling. My three favorites were the Navi , my Ti emergency and Ti chronoavenger. Still love breitling but liked their stuff from yrs past more.
I hear you. Skyracer Raven and Colt chrono among others-ALL with wing logo. Old ones are the best ones. I do like this navi with b01.
@big bob , amen to that
Bruce I really don’t understand why you don’t have more subscribers. I’ve always enjoyed your channel.
Thanks James I appreciate that. Growing slow and steady
You can do long division or multiplication with that
Man what a beeeeautiful watch! I do miss the old Breitling packaging though, like on my old Galactic with it's gorgeous Bakelite box.
Can’t wait to check this out at my AD on my next visit.
Interesting that it reads "Chronometer" on the dial, but "Chronometre" on the movement. I'd have to check my other ones, but the B01 Chronomat I'm wearing now reads Chronometre" on both. Beautiful piece.
Got one recently. My 46 mm B01 from 2018 with the old wings- logo on the dial reads " Chronometre " on the dial and on the rotor . Have also an old Chronomat with no hints that it has passed COSC - inspection but I have the certificate...
I have that watch and its great!
Nobody does busy dials quite like Breitling❤️ Beautiful.... That’s just the perfect fit on your wrist btw! People like me might be better off with the Sinn 903👍🏻
I love this watch, have just purchased a new one.
Hi Bruce,
Great video, look forward to full review. I have the previous winged logo version of this exact watch, and absolutely loooove it. Its my daily wear to the office. Id urge you to get ahold of the wing logo version to compare for next video. I looked at both when I bought mine, but to me that little gold applied logo really takes it to the next level.
As for the braclet, i disagree, i have the breitling braclet and pinbuckle and deployant straps. The braclet is hands down the winner. Its sooo comfy and draps so nicley. Sure its shiny as all hell which make the watch a tad blingy, but really adds to the luxury feel as well.the only things i wish mine had was the display caseback (although i think it adds thickness too),, and a little more water resist would be nice. But still one of my favourite tool watxh pieces and an absolute keepwr forn me (my son wants this one some day).
If you can get a bwing version on the braclet to compare, that would be an awesome insight for your review.
Keep up the great work!
Cheers.
I appreciate that thank you for the great owner perspective comment!
Great video sir. Beautiful watch.
Great timing Bruce this is definitely my next purchase the iconic pilots watch that’s such a classic.. I brought in the superocean heritage for an embarrassing 4th time yesterday, this time in blue and manageable 42mm size so hopefully a keeper 30% of list from AD couldn’t resist ..
Excellent price I don't blame you!
Always liked navitimer, such an icon. And to think about the fact that Breitling pioneered the 2 pusher chronograph design, it holds much more historical value. Only wish my 6.2” wrist could pull that off 🤷♂️
Beautiful and iconic piece.
My fav watch of all time
Nice, prob my next watch
Love the navitimer.Butt my choice is the chronomat
thats a good looking movement... wowzers
yeah it is ! super impressed with what breitling has been doing lately
Hi bruce, great video! Your macro shots are some of the best.
I have the 46mm B01 version with the gold wings.
My only criticism of the watch is the winding experience. The crown feels a touch too close to the case, and makes the grip a bit awkward. The B01 caliber is an outstanding, tight movement but this can make winding the watch a challenge once you get past about 25 turns of the crown. Other than that I have a really hard time taking issue with anything else about the watch.
The history of the Navitimer is fascinating. While the circular slide rule is not necessary in the modern world of aviation, I still find myself using it for simple tasks like discreetly calculating a tip at the bar without having to take my phone out. On a recent trip to the UK, I had the conversion rate set on the slide rule and could instantly glance down and know the value of something in USD. What's not to love?
Thanks for the great content.
-Tom
Tom loved this comment thank you! Always great to hear the day to day practical experience
I had a tough time manually winding my 5-year old B01 Navitimer. The winding mechanism was way too stiff but 2 visits to the Breitling service center yielded the same answer: it’s normal. I tried winding new B01 Navitimers and felt that they were only marginally smoother. It’s a beautiful watch but that winding issue frustrated me such that I sold it off.
This watch is instantly recognizable! Absolute classic for any watch collection!
Love it .. miss the logo .. but soon a 41 not limited Manual wind will come out and I think I will grab it .. although this 43 is also nice
Got mine recently. Love the video presentation on this :D
mine is 46mm, 43 is too small. I'm consider to buy chronomat 44mm polished one but scared for scratches
fits perfect on your wrist. congrats.
Well thanks. Wasn’t going to get another watch this year. Great review.
Haha thank you
What I miss actually is the Bakelite box of the older model. It was a thing to admire on it's own :) This leather box is also OK, but it is strange for me to see B01 calibre watch, packed into the same box as my quartz Aerospace Evo, which is almost three times cheaper. And no winged logo on Navitimer is doubtful "upgrade", though I like applied "B", just not on the Navitimer... These are just several reasons I am OK with my 15-year old Valjoux-based Navitimer - it was my first "proper" watch, and it is still strikingly good.
I'll take this over the daytona anyday. When it comes to making chronographs, Breitling reigns as King (their dialwork and fine detail is second to none).
nothing compare to daytona, sorry. it's true art.
@@Mars-si6gj actually the B01 movement is better than the Daytona movement. Look up a video titled “Is Breitling better than Rolex?”. It’s by Frederico talks watches. A watchmaker who was employed by high end watch brands tells it like it is. The same engineers who made the Daytona movement made the B01 movement.
I have the blue dial with black subdial 43mm version. The look is absolutely perfect if you are in to the busy aviation style watch. My only complaint to this is the crown is such a pain operate due to the Basel edge. It’ll definitely hurt your finger when you try to adjust the date, or just simply do some hand winding. Man, that’s just not pleasant to experience. You’d better pop it on wrist everyday to stay out of the crown trouble.
Valid point, and congrats on your version 👍
Bruce Williams Like your video mate, and looking forward to your full review!
I agree. It is takes quite some workout to operate the Navitimer 💪 But it is a gorgeous watch 👍
My dream watch
Beautiful watch! I miss the old logo.
Great vid. Navitimer is next on my list but thinking about the 806 reissue with the manual wind in house movement and no date. Too bad they didn’t make that a regular production model. Would have been the Speedmaster killer.
Ive seen that in person it is very nice
Really good video as usual Bruce. I appreciate the effort it must have taken to get some of those great shots and close-ups. Being a Breitling fan i am excited for the review. Jason
Iconic watch, though prefer the old logo. Thanks Bruce. ⌚👍
If it was my choice I prefer the old logo as well but don't mind the new one
I had breitling chronometer, but i didnt know if it was original
Wonderful looking watch, I've read and seen on other reviews on luxury watches, to always buy on bracelet, even if you are fully intend to swap for a strap. The reason is the aftermarket cost for the brands bracelet. Take it off, order a good quality replacement strap and use that, and put the the strap back in the box. Beats spending $800 for a branded bracelet, and usually is about $200 more or less (sometimes $100). Helps in resale or trade if that should happen in the future.
The AR coating just makes the difference !
Great video! How about a comparison with the Sinn 903.
My dream watch 👍
How come some Navitimers has a steel back case and others are like yours?
Many pictures on Chrono 24, but very seldom showed the back of the watch 🇩🇰
Hi Bruce… great review. I have the same wrist size as you. 7.25 Inch. Do you recommend Navitiner 43 or 46 mm? I see yours is 43 mm. Are you happy with it or do you preffer 46 mm?
I prefer 43 but have no issues with the 46
Great review. Nice watch.
Thank you Matt
@@BruceWilliams Whoww that thing is 8.5K??
@@evh4611 at full retail yes. NEVER pay full retail on a Breitling!
Well done
Any chance you could also review the Breitling navitimer 1 chronograph 41? It does not have the in-house chronograph movement, but it comes it a more classic size of 41mm. I am curious to see how it stacks up to this one.
Hello. Great review. I am on the market for this timepiece. You’ve mentioned that you can run the Chrono non stop without causing damage. How does that work?
Yup I got one Love it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Alan H
Hey man, the dial rotates like the video right?
I ordered one from eBay, but the dial doesn't rotate at all!
Am I scammed?
Hello is the watch automatic or battery?
If between this and Zenith El Primero, which one would u go with?
When you said that "you can leave the chronograph running without fear of damaging the movement", does that means that usually it could? I've never heard that before and I wouldn't want to damage my automatic watches
No it wouldn't damage the movement as long as you keep it charged, they are all made to run for several hours straight (all chronograph movements have 12-24 hour subdials)
Like others here I don't care for the plain "B" logo. Too derivative of Bentley and gets it away from its aviation aesthetic.
My Navitimer developed a flaw in the dial finish after five years. Breitling washed their hands and the resale value of the watch was lower as a consequence. It never had an intervention, this was manufacturing defect and has put me off the Navitimer!
Hi. Was it the new B01 model or previous one?
Hi Bruce, how do you compare this to the Sinn 903 which is quite a bit cheaper? The Sinn 903 does not have an inhouse movement which is more cost-effective for servicing. Other reviews also indicate there are areas that the Sinn 903 is more favourable comparing to the older models of the Breitling Navitimers.
I have yet to see one in person but specs wise it is very strong! Even though Sinn bought the rights to the design it isn't thier own. At the end of the day no matter how impressive or less expensive it is I would want the Breitling. The Sinn I feel is a value substitute
@@BruceWilliams I agree it is more like a poor man's version. I bought the 903 few months ago and am quite happy, it looks good on both leather straps and milanese bracelet. Built quality is exceptional at $4400 Canadian .
how much for this watch
Hi Bruce, how does the B01 wind? As far as I know they can be somewhat tough or "loud" when winding. Not so butter smooth like some other watches?! Greetings, Jack
Good question, it is pretty loud and there is a decent amount of tourque needed to turn it. Not rough or gritty at all though. I'll highlight that in the full review
Won’t get a new one until they put the wings back. Love my 2 Aerospaces
i got one with the golden wings. i can just imagine that if they'll bring them back it would probably kill the Navis that came out with the "B".
IMO they should have left the wings on the Navitimers and on the proffesional line, but on dressier models and the heritage the B is perfect.
master G completely agree!!
Iconic. I prefer this > Daytona. Especially considering the cost. Thanks for the macros and thoughts.
You are welcome
what year do I need to find to get the wings logo?
Great video ! Is this model can be worn everyday on daily basis ?
absolutely, worn mine every day for over 20 years now with no problems.
It's beautiful but they need to offer a smaller version.
breitling 1884 a68062 no 1111 50m
I have been using this watch for a long time, and I am not using what I can do with it
Veramente Bello 👍👍
What do you think of independent chronograph vs vertical clutch chronograph?
I like a vertical clutch in most instances, great design
Could you do a comparison between the Navitimer and the avenger??
Same strap 😎
I'm personally a hater of bracelets lol.
