- This is a month by month update of my progress and results using nothing but Rogaine (minoxidil).
For the past few years, I've noticed that my hair was thinning, especially the crown of my head, so I decided to do something about it! In this video, I give you month by month updates and I show you a few different hairstyles you could rock while dealing with this kind of hair loss.

I personally think anti-hairloss treatments only work on people who are balding very progressively and at a slower rate. When it is that fast, you shouldn't even bother with treatment and just adapt to it.
Or you could save up for a hair transplant, but that shit ain't cheap.

You are gonna have great results the first three months are usually the months where you get 0 resulst or it even gets worse because the hair enters the shedding phase, but after that new hair will grow and im excited to see your results.

Guido Velásquez the shed was super scary for me as well. Went from hair not feeling thick to what like deep stages of MPB. But it def gets better from there! If you shed a lot, your hair is gonna respond well to rogaine and get good results 🤞🏼
The reason why the top of your head looks thinner is because of the way the hair is growing. On top of the head, the hair grows in different directions, and it does not grow on top of each other, like the front of the head does. It grows outwards in different directions and it's easier to see the scalp. That's normal.
Bro thanks for the share. The struggle is felt here. Just wanted to give some input as to my journey. I went with the hair transplant. After watching a lot of hair thin videos for tips,on styling or otherwise. I notice guys say na im gonna just shave my head if it gets there because I’m not willing to scar my head. I just need to inform the community. My brothers in arms. That is old techniques and misinformation that we accept and is still propagated by the bastards still doing it that way. I almost fell for it when I first picked a place and actually lost my 1000 dollar deposit because I found a place in the same state of Washington i lived in at the time doing it the new way that does not scar you. Not gonna say where im not here plugin anyone just sharing hope. just research for the people doing it where they manually pluck the follicle and place it in the new area not knives. It’s what the new hair transplant robots do. But done by a human so it comes out more natural looking. It’s the same time and shit phase like what you described with rogaine but this way it’s permanent and your not putting these chemicals on your skin. I’ll just close my story with hair transplant plus finastride. I look like 18 again at 36. (Explaining why you still opt finastride would take to long to explain) Money should be the only reason not to get a transplant not fear of scars. The effort put into a romaine regimen to me seems the same if not more. My situation was way worst than yours. WAYYYY worst. 12k fixed it and haven’t looked back. After 3 months of dosage, I see a lot of new regrowth of hair ... but after I have changed from 5% to 2% , hair that grew from minoxidil has lost more than former scalp.
I got the 3 month package on Amazon and it actually worked. My hair was thinning everywhere besides the sides + bottom back. I was also balding on the crown of my head. After 3 Months I still have 1 almost full can left and my hair has thickened where I was thinning and the baldness has almost gone away.

I didn't know there was a sheeding phase, I started applying it last december and noticed that the thinning progressed faster. I shaved my head today so I can apply minoxidil easily. I'll be taking biotin supplements as well to further improve the hair growth.

@@hassansiddique5387 not great bro but the routine is also weird. Dermatologist made me do min only for half a year and then made me drop it and go fin only for another half a year. I had good gains from min alone but lost them by going fin only. I’m going to see a different one, hopefully knows it better

I have combined Minoxidil with using OGX Thick & Full + Biotin & Collagen shampoo and conditioner as well as taking Biotin and Collagen vitamins. I take 1 serving of the vitamins in the morning, then I wash my hair with the shampoo and conditioner and let it dry, then I use Rogaine foam. Then I use Rogaine again like 6 hours later, then I take another serving of vitamins before I go to bed. Trust me, this works.
Compare the 4 min mark to the 11 min. Definitely working. Great videos- please keep posting!

Additionally thanks for sharing this bro, my hair has started thinning out and has me shit scared. I also have super long hair (top knot) which makes me sceptical about starting this treatment as I don't want to go short or loose a scary amount of hair due to the shedding face. But its always best to deal with these things early rather than later.

Just wanted to help people out there.I used the liquid solution and I've got bad irradiation from that, i then switch to foam and no irritation at all. New hair is growing, apply is simple and easy.

My hair situation is a bit fucked so I have super thick curly Afro hair but I’m receding on both sides, one side is thinning heavily but somehow the other side is receding but no thinning.
Now my crown has started thinning and the hair is more flimsy and in certain lights you can see my scalp it really sucks but hopefully this can help.
If not I’ll just accept it and shave my head but I have a really unattractive shaped head high point at the crown flattish at the back and round at the front, kinda fucked man but I was made this way and if there’s nothing I can do about it then so be it. Cheers man

I'm currently 23, my birthday was just 2 months ago and I'll be 24 by the end of this year... I think I started balding/losing hair about 1 year ago and it's scaring me how fast it has gone. I was in depression and didn't really meet other people so I never noticed. When I moved back my mom freaked out when I was sitting dow and she saw my hair. From that day on I have been very self conscious and can't believe I'm really losing hair. What makes it worse is that I'm Asian, I can't even rock a beard when I become bald. Jesus Christ just fuck me.

Yo, this is just my opinion. But dude you rockin the shaved head with the beard. Has a “Boss man” kinda vibe to it. It really works for your facel/head structure, and looks pretty intimidating. Like no shit, you look like a front man for a hardcore/metal band. Keep on going with your treatment sir and stick to the plan. But on the plus side if you decide to stop treatment. Shaved head with the beard. Gives off some alpha vibes. It’ll take some getting use to for sure. But I don’t think you should stress about it. It’s a look that works in any profession. Stay positive sir! No matter what happens you’ll still look sharp as hell.
I actually stopped taking minoxidil and finasteride a month and a half ago and have been rocking that look.
Takes some getting used to and yeah it would be nice to not have to rock this one look, but it could be worse.

Throw in microneedling it’s more effective than minoxidil alone but if you combine it’s like 5x more effective

Glad I watched this before starting any hair treatments. I did not know about the shedding phase. That seems like a difficult although luckily somewhat short term disadvantage but worth it in the long run if the rogaine works. I wonder what happens if you STOP taking it? Will your hair just go back to its normal balding patterns or will it be stronger than if you never started?
All the hairs that are being kept by the minox will fall out, so it will be as if you've never used it

So I’m 19 rn. I started noticing it when I was 17 or so. I always had a widows peak so now that it’s going it’s real bad. I just shaved my head cause I thought maybe it would look better or I’ll just wear hats. And holy shit it’s worse haha. I thought nothing would work cause I thought Bosley was something you put in your hair but when I found out it was a surgery I lost any hope. Then my mom mentioned rogane but didn’t know if it worked. I just looked it up for the first time and here’s your video. I’m encouraged by this and I even have a Costco nearby. I’m about to show my mom and see if I can get a sixth month supply for my birthday. Which is January 18th. So like 3 days. Hoping it works out and I’m super interested in seeing updates on how it goes for you throughout the process. Even if it stops working. Idk if you have an Instagram or anything. When I started using Rogaine in the 90's it was $50/bottle.
@Wazgood i98 yeah. Still using foam daily. No side effects. I would’ve been totally bald by now but it helped retain existing hair over last 30 years

@Wazgood i98 yeah. You have to look at the big picture especially when it starts at a young age. The foam worked the best for me. The original formula caused itching and redness. But 30 years later the crown is covered somewhat and hairline is ok. Avoid finasteride if possible

Here's my experience. I was noticign my hair thinning. I started using rosemary oil, which, according to some studies, should have the same effects as minoxidil. In the beginning, the first 2-3 months, it worked just fine, less hair falling and my scalp looked thicker. But after another couple of months of everyday use, my hair started to fell again. I'm keep using it, everyday for about 2 years now, but without any noticible results. Any suggestion?
I use the equate liquid dropper minoxidil I take a biotin supplement and a men’s multivitamin both gummies I take two of each a day once morning once night and use a shampoo with saw palmetto in if made by hims the sell it at Walmart add a lot of greens 🥬 to your diet and get some exercise n sleep well u should see some good results

@@bruttosporcoecattivo no side effects really my hair loss isn’t really bad just typical thinning as I get older I’m 36 now but that’s what I do seems to work well but I think the main thing everyone leaves out is our diets as the same as going to the gym we can go but if we’re going on McDonald’s I don’t think it’s going to make much of a difference nutrition is key also

I've used saw palmetto in the past, and it really did something for my hair, but I've noticed too many side effects from it. You're right though, diet plays an important role. My digestive system is a mess, but I still try to eat vegetables and legumes often, but I also eat too many fats...and that's not good

Rogaine has a more severe side effect profile than finasteride. Also, Rogaine will not allow you to keep your hair. It allows you to grow a few new hairs and add density but without finasteride your other non-minoxidle hairs will continue to fall out.
Finasteride and sexual side effects are not worth it for me.

@@lancer717 I'll be honest, I haven't heard of any prostate problems post finasteride. As for DHT being the culprit, I'll have to assume it is as my hair is noticeably thicker since I've been using it. The only side effects I can report is that when I'm not wearing underwear my nuts ache a bit, no problem w/underwear tho which is new. And my libido has increased.
Hello, I just start using foam minoxidil and my hair is shedding a lot its been two months and I am shedding? Is it normal? Also, I use foam minoxidil once a day only. Do you think applying once a day is okay?
You're lucky to have a girlfriend who supports you. Honestly if the hair loss gets worse you should clip it with no guard like you did in the beginning and still use minoxidil. Like some earlier posts you have a good shaped head and the facial hair to rock that look. The minoxidil will help with the evenness.
My experience is you BETTER not miss your days or it’ll reverse a lil too soon

I might have something else causing that because not that big improvement honestly. Monday I havea heart appointment at my doctor. Maybe something is wrong and causing the loss. I have been using minoxidil for three weeks and I still have yet to go through my first bottle. I think after the last week of my first month of using it I am sure I will go through it. Also I have not used it every single day for the whole three weeks. But I think I am seeing some growth. I have been through a shedding phase. I think I am still going through the shedding phase.

I’m 31 and finally starting to notice some thinning so I’m doing research to see what my options are
About 3 weeks Into using Rogaine and I've noticed much less shedding in the shower. Whenever I would wash my hair clumps of hair would just come out it was awful, and even if I ran my fingers through my hair I'd notice a lot of shedding but after using Rogaine for a weeks I've noticed a drastic reduction in shedding.
MoovieDude that’s crazy, was complete opposite for me. Had barely any shedding and rogaine caused me to shed a shit-ton. But now it’s growing back in thicker and fuller.
@@KVONTUBE That's the general consensus so I expected even more shedding but alas there's minimal now. I haven't really noticed any new growth but then again it hasn't even been a month yet but I can say the hair loss has definitely slowed.
Update: week 4 and the shedding phase has hit me hard! My hair has drastically started to shed and all of my thinning spots are now much thinner , apparently this is part of the process but it is extremely discouraging. I even had people start to comment on how thin my hair looks all the sudden.

@@amerskillz2945 I saw no real results after a consistent year and a half of use so I recently started taking 1mg of finasteride daily. I've seen better results with that in 3 months than I ever did with minoxidil.
