I've tried everything. Started shedding rapidly at 18 then got cancer at 21 and when my hair came back it wall all thin and diffuse. Derm told me it was male pattern baldness and chemo sped it up . I took finaseride for two years and ruined my body and mind. Took over two years to bounce back from that while staying on minoxidil but continuing to shed like crazy. Your videos made me realize I have diffuse alopecia areata that was exacerbated by chemo. I been massaging my scalp daily with rosemary oil and I dunno what changed but my hair has stopped falling out and it's been regrowing and hasn't look this good since before chemo 7 years ago. So I just want to thank you man, this problems been bothering me for over a decade literally . Btw I'm about to turn 30, you've changed my life.

Hey congratulations! That’s incredible and I’m sure makes you feel at peace right now. Was his advice to massage rosemary oil? What helped you with the rapid shedding because I’m going through the same thing, it happens day after day and I am lost at what to do :/ I’m a woman, does that matter?

    • @cmml22
      @cmml22 Рік тому +8

@@momoso143 hello! My recommendation is figure out what triggers the shit (often times it's food and systemic inflammation). I've switched to a mostly meat based diet and it's helped with my gut issues and ultimately my hair (I think it's all connected ). Anyways if you have an autoimmune issue inducing hair loss your best bet is to sort out the underlying cause. The rosemary oil and massage helped blood flow and I think staved off further loss I still do it a few times a week. Another thing you can try (again if its autoimmune) is clobetazol topical steroid. But basically keep it really clean diet wise and then incorporate the massage and do it regularly you should feel the tightness and whatnot subside.

What i have learned from the video is that
    Get a proper sleep
    Reduce stress
Find your blood type and eat according to it
Wash your hair daily with a good anti dandruff shampoo
Try to avoid food which causes inflamation
    Keep your gut healthy.

A few things that actually helped to control my hair fall include: (1) I discontinued wearing hair ties because it causes tension damage. (2) I began massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while bending over & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Covering my head while moving out to protect my hair from dust and pollution. (4) Using soft shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.

infrequent shampooing which creates fungal overgrowth which causes inflammation

I am gleaning so much from this. During the COVID shelter in place I managed to contract a nasty, nasty bout of pneumonia. I was sick for two solid months and had to be placed on heavy duty antibiotics. Then I had to work in an unfamiliar environment miles from home for two months and then I had to move out of city with little time to even think. It was madness and the stressors were insane!!! I had been dealing with minor hair loss for years, but never thought too much about it, but during this time I noticed extreme sebum build up on my scalp and had that potato chip sized peeling with all of the hair coming off with each “chip”. I was devastated. This is the first time I have heard a dermatologist or trichologist or frankly anybody even mention it. I have been slowly healing but still struggle with inflammation, which is what led me here. Thank you for your wisdom. I’m here for the long haul and have become a subscriber.

I started losing hair with my restrictive eating patterns. It all began in 2020. I would eat no more than 500 calories a day and mostly avoided carbohydrates, which also caused inflammation from high cortisol, which in turn gave me acne and hormonal issues. Once I started improving my diet, things began going back to normal mostly. Oh, and stress was also a huge factor!

William I am a 71 yo female. I for sure have inflammation hair loss, my scalp itches a lot and I have hair loss on top and the sides and a little on the nape. I will say I have more hair loss on top and the sides. I will say you are the most informative hair specialist/Trichologist I have ever seen on UA-cam and I appreciate that. I do not know my blood type but going off of your testing I determined I have the inflammation type. So I bought your shampoo and conditioner foligrowth, I do wash my hair every 48 hours. I have had some calming of the itching scalp and some decrease in hair loss but not completely.
I’m confused about the FoliGrowth because on the bottle it says to leave on overnight, but I think I n one of your other videos you say to rinse out after so long.
My last question is should I also be using the DHT BLOCKER? On your website for the inflammation hair loss it wasn’t shown to purchase. I’m very grateful to have found you on UA-cam. I am so hoping you see this and will answer my 2 questions😊

I have to wash my hair frequently because my natural oils cause the itching. The only thing to work in growing my hair back and controlling the itching is Certirizine (an allergy medication). just taking Finestride doesn't stop the itch. I have no obvious scalp lesions or flacks. the medicated shampoos didn't work. I'm confused. My father is bald, but he didn't itch aggressively. i am now gluten intolerant and gut sensitivity has gone through the roof.

I had no scalp or hair conditions until I caught HSV-1 at 30 and it "broke my immune system" like HIV. I immediately lost a third of my hair, and developed both constant scalp infections (seb derm and fungal stuff from being immunodeficient) as well as just hair loss from chronic high-level inflammation in my tissues from the neck up. Every derm I saw just dismissed my worries and told me to use a different product. I was finally put on IVIG for my body inflammation and even at a low dose, WOW did my hair grow back nice and thick. (I still got scalp infections all the time, but that just shows that the inflammatory component was more important as the cause of the loss than just infection).
Due to all the medical upheaval in the pandemic, my immunologist quit, and the new ones decided they don't want to prescribe my IVIG anymore. I was yanked off of it and the hair loss began again, worse than before. Despite my best efforts, I can't seem to get it under control. I make as many lifestyle changes to reduce inflammation as I can, but truly, I think genetically some people cannot regulate their inflammation homeostatically without the intervention of medicine (probably because of genetics). I'm going to take this information in your video and continue to try to save my hair, but as time goes on and I can't get access to gammaglobulin anymore, I think my entire body is starting to fall apart! I wish more doctors explored the inflammation link as opposed to "it's stress" or "use Selsun Blue."

I lose so much hair everyday. I have several very rare autoimmune diseases and I'm positive they are contributing to hair loss.... when my medication is controlling the conditions to some degree I don't lose much.... but when I'm flared I feel like I need a wig

    • @WilliamGaunitzTrichologist

I'm truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing with hair loss, especially in the context of rare autoimmune diseases. Hair loss can indeed be a distressing symptom, and it's not uncommon for autoimmune conditions to contribute to hair issues. Autoimmune diseases can affect the immune system's response, potentially leading to inflammation or other factors that impact hair follicles.
Here are some steps you can consider to address hair loss while managing your autoimmune conditions:
Consult with Specialists: Work closely with healthcare professionals who specialize in autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatologists or immunologists. They can help manage your underlying conditions and explore treatment options that may reduce hair loss as a result of flares.
Medication Management: Ensure that you are taking your prescribed medications consistently to control your autoimmune diseases. Managing your underlying conditions can sometimes help mitigate hair loss during flares.
Nutrition and Supplements: Discuss with your healthcare provider whether supplements or dietary changes could be beneficial for managing hair loss and supporting overall health. They can evaluate whether you have any nutrient deficiencies that may be contributing to hair issues.
Stress Management: High levels of stress can exacerbate autoimmune conditions and may contribute to hair loss. Consider stress reduction techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, or counseling to help manage stress.
Hair Care: Use gentle and nourishing hair care products that are suitable for your hair type and scalp condition. Avoid harsh chemicals and excessive heat styling, as these can further damage your hair.
Wigs and Hairpieces: If hair loss is significantly impacting your self-esteem and quality of life, consider exploring wigs or hairpieces as temporary solutions while you manage your conditions. Many options are available to match your desired style.
Support Groups: Connecting with others who have autoimmune diseases can provide valuable emotional support and insights into managing hair loss while dealing with these conditions. Consider joining support groups or online communities.

Also, researchers have found cyanocobalamin breaks down into cyanide in the body. Oops. Look, you can read all the text books in the trich library but if you don’t read research from other firmed like biochemistry, then this results (a product that may do harm). Something i noticed that you never mentioned, and that is hair breakage. My hair has been breaking non-stop, every day for the last 7 months. It came out of nowhere! I've lost at least 6 or 7 layers of my hair from SEVERE BREAKAGE. It is so short and thin. I always had a nice head of hair. I've been to 2 different Dermatologists, and one hair loss specialist. She says I have AGA. But she really didnt address tge breakage. She recommends oral Minoxidil and Clobesatal ointment. I refused the Minoxidil because of the dread shed that happens. I have been using the Clobesatal every now and then. I realize if my hair keeps breaking like this, i coukd go bald! Im terrified. Im stressed out. This is so alarming. Ive tried EVERYTHING! Please can you help me out?? Thanks in advance. By the way, im late 60's.

I am somewhat convinced that when my crown started thinning 20 years ago started from inflammation, it was mostly part to be being cheap in having a tight ponytail I used elastic bands you get in the mail to tie it up and pull out a bunch of hair when I went to shower. In my panic, a doctor prescribed Monoxidile. I took it for long periods of time being told the shedding would stop and my hair would come back strong as I caught it early. But it only kept falling. I stop for a year or two and was told by a dermatologist my crown looked red and inflamed, but he did not say if that was the issue or gave me any treatment for the inflammation. I was not happy with the how exposed my hair was, started again and whatever hair was left over in the crown is now totally gone. I was concerned about the rest of my hair as now my temples thinned out, so I too Finasteried, did it for a year and the same small amount of hairs kept falling out, nothing got stronger. So I stopped after 2 years, and my hair has stabilized, yet I still have itching in my crown. I think I do have thinning hair, yet at 42, the front part of my head of hair looks good if I was truly balding. And since I have recently been diagnosed with eczema in different places of my body and steroid cream helped me a lot, maybe try some tiny bit of it on my crown and temple and see what happens then, cause nothing else worked.

I’m really sorry to hear about your struggle with this. It sounds incredibly frustrating to be so committed to a routine and still face these issues. 😞 Let’s break down some possible things to consider for your next steps:
      1. **Scalp Health**: The itchiness and acne on your scalp could indicate inflammation or sensitivity, which can sometimes be due to the products, the environment, or an underlying condition like seborrheic dermatitis. Using a gentle, anti-inflammatory shampoo (like one with ketoconazole or salicylic acid) might help calm the scalp. Reducing scalp inflammation can support hair growth, as a healthier scalp is essential for hair to thrive.
      2. **Reviewing Treatments**: Since finasteride and CG210 Forte have only given slight results, you may want to discuss with a trichologist or dermatologist about other potential treatments. Options like **low-level laser therapy (LLLT)** or **platelet-rich plasma (PRP)** injections can stimulate hair follicles, especially when other treatments haven’t been fully effective.
      3. **Gym and Androgens**: Working out intensely, especially if you’re lifting heavy or doing resistance training, can sometimes increase androgen levels (like testosterone), which may contribute to hair loss for people sensitive to these hormones. Keeping workouts balanced and avoiding certain supplements that might boost testosterone could help.
      4. **Addressing Stress and Mental Health**: Hair loss can take a toll emotionally, which is completely valid. You’re doing everything you can for your hair health, so be kind to yourself and reach out for support if you need it-sometimes even just talking to someone can make a huge difference.
You’re doing a lot of the right things, and there may be just a few tweaks to make. 💪➡️ Please feel free to reach out to us at www.advancedtrichology.com/ for more guidance or if you’d like to explore more treatment options. Hang in there-you’re not alone in this journey!

I had steroid injections in the scalp twice and treated with hydrochloroquine. Presently I’m not being treated with anything. I exercise daily, meditate, take a nutritional diet. I haven’t washed my hair in months as a patch test informed of numerous allergies, particularly those found in shampoo, soap and skin care. I do take supplements, omega3, vit D, Zinc, multi vitamin and Ashwaganda. I’ve just started on NAC and glutathione. Please be encouraged. Pray and ask Jesus to do a miracle for your health and hair, to restore you! He can do it for you! I've had hair issues and still do occasionally, but have never lost it all, only shedding, bit it keeps being replenished because I constantly pray and thank the Lord for my "hair/health miracle", and He continues to keep hair on my head. It's thinner than it was because I'm older now, 65, started having a lot of shedding in my 20's. I believe people should rest their hair a lot, quit manipulating it so much, daily. Wear wigs, twists, styles that are easy on it; baby it, rest it. When you pray, the Lord will show you exactly what to do for your situation. I'm praying for you and others on this feed as well. Hair loss and health issues is devastating, exhausting, frustrating and even humiliating. Hang in there everyone! But please talk to Jesus about it, and ask Him to heal you! Only he can. Also, this Dr. Is excellent, on point, a God-send, an answer to prayer, a blessing--I thank God for his"free and helpful" advice! I had an itchy scalp that finally stopped after extended use of clotrimazole and a dairy free, red meat free diet (like pescatarian) my scalp is mucj healthier. Mor peeling or redness at all. Howevee that round spot in the middle is still there. I wonder if I could grow it back. The horshoe is darker and filling in faster. But a round spot in the front that now comb over I would love to fill in.

I SUGGEST YOU STOP THAT FAKE YOGA AND LEARN REAL YOGA. WANT TO DO IT IN HEAT? GO OUTSIDE UNDER THE SUN 😊
