Scalp massage really works. Do it daily before and during bathing, I use coconut oil. I use a fine tooth comb as well, you must use some pressure. Do be EXTRA gentle around bumps, circle from away, changing where you start, swirling inwards. Massage face and neck. GREAT for the health and appearance. stay just behind the hairline and you can gradually restore your natural hairline, and have thicker hair. the massage removes the ' cradle cap' that coats the scalp. Peace!

I lost a horrendous amount of hair after severe covid, and it was at its worst about 6 months post infection. I didn't think it would come back, and after 1 year it was no better. I stumbled on scalp massage after looking at the usual drug treatments, which after reading the long term issues of these I didn't touch them. My experience with scalp massage after 1 year is yes it does work, but takes time to start working. I learned 1 important thing though, don't massage every day, as you want to do it so that you actually makes your scalp slightly sore the day after, this way you know that the deeper tissue in the scalp has been manipulated, sort of like a deep bruise, and not just the skin on top. This then needs time to heal before you do it again, just like bodybuilding. Between 5 and ten minutes should be fine, every three days or maybe do twice a week on set days. On the days when you don't massage your scalp, make sure you do neck and shoulder exercises to relieve muscle stress in those areas. This muscle stress affects blood flow to the scalp and head which can make hair loss worse. Also, massage around your brows and top of the jaw in front of your ears, this also relieves the muscles that surround the scalp. Hope this helps some of you. It's worked for me so far, and I'm slowly getting hair back. Interestingly, the areas on the top of my head which had the worst hair loss, is growing back darker than it was, whereas my sides are still greying like before. I'm 52 by the way, so don't give up, it's worth the effort. Thanks.
I think neck exercises are the key. I haven't had hair loss yet but I noticed I had massive knots on my SCM muscles. I believe if the neck is compromised it will restrict blood flow to the head eventually causing issues like hair greying and hair loss. In my case as soon as I began to do neck exercises my vision began to improve naturally
Correct way is pushing the scalp from sideways to upper side. Upper side and temple area have more stretching force and as a result more tension. So you have to reduce the tension by making the scalp muscle become relaxed not stretched. Also 1 or 1.5 mm dermaroller once a week. Papermint oil as it's proven in lab to regrow hair. Nothing would work if you're going through stress or anxiety. Reduce stress, only then you could see result as early as 3 weeks.
I had great success last year with hair density by exercising more and going for long walks on sunny days. Not sure if it was the sun, Vitamin D or exercising which was the trigger (or indeed all three) but I ended up with much thicker, more lustrous locks within a matter of three months. Yep, and exercise levels out testosterone in both men and women. To many people don't know that iron, vitB,D, zinc, cortisol, testosterone deficiency can contribute to hair loss. Exercise helps increase testosterone naturally but supplements and diet with the otters

Best and most promising video I've seen on how to encourage hair growth. Having your hair short the entire time really helped to see the results. Thank you!
I am glad you tried just using the massager alone but I think it is best if you apply a hair growth oil or liquid to your scalp and then use the massagers. Thanks for posting. I am losing my hair too and have been for many years.
It’s a good thing to incorporate into your shower routine. I would add that adding in a good shampoo that cleans the scalp (tea tree oil) is good too. A laser cap coupled with this works wonders, in my experience.
Try also massaging the muscles on your forehead and all around the skull at that level. This releases the tendons in your scalp which helps hair growth promoting blood flow.
Good call, also targeting the neck and all the way down to your hips, pelvis, i had chronic neck issues involving tense neck muscles which gave me the sensation that someone was tugging my scalp backwards, an awful feeling, i actually had to address my lower back and then my neck, including massaging my temporalis muscle and the forehead. It's interesting how things are connected.
Awesome video, very informative. One thing to consider is that even if growth in all areas wasn't huge, hair maintenance is a lot better than hair loss!
I grew my hair back. 5% minoxodol twice a day. Dutasteride 0.5 every other day. Micropen 1.5mm every Sunday . . But the first two or three months it falls out be prepared for that. Then it comes back. I'm very happy. I will start massage now to bring back hair colour
@@cscs9192 I often forget and it seems ok. I think the microneedlling is by far more effective than the minoxidil. It's like 400% Better than minoxidil, but painfull. I'm lucky I live in Mexico and can buy anisthetic in over the counter and inject my scalp with pain killer first.

These oils may be too much for you. But Jamaican black castor oil, peppermint oil, coconut oil & olive oil, applied topically ( massaging in). will do wonders ( apply at night or if working from home first thing in morning, & wash out later if need be. Bending your head down between legs while massaging increases blood flow expeditionally & hair growth. Hope this helps
Putting your head below your heart by itself doesn’t increase blood flow to the scalp . It will increase blood flow to your facial arteries etc but massaging , deep breathing, And Relaxing while elevating your neck down will definitely scientifically help.
You should look into the galea aponeurotica. The galea is hardened due to stress that constructed the blood flow and blocks the hair from growing. To relax the galea you should massage it that allows the blood flow and the hair growth happens
So, I think you should pinch and do circular massage concentrating on the areas that feel tight on your scalp. The tight areas are areas of vasoconstriction that limit growth.
Started doing scalp massage 2 times a day, 12 min per session, i don't really see any new hair growing or anything like this, but each session my hair would fall 29, and this have progressively getting lower, now I am at 7 hairs per sessions after 2 weeks. Also, my hair is super super soft now. One small side effect I had at the beginning was some skin peeling off form my head, but honestly I dont care
I don't believe it helps regrow hair BUT it has helped stop or slow down my hair loss. I use the massager when washing my hair with shampoo every other day. The amount of dead skin that came off my head was astonishing.
You may see some regrowth, but yes, in this case, clearly he is in the advance stage of baldness, there will be fibrosis and calcification, this needs to be addressed, dermarolling would be my goto for that, then you go in with massages.
It’s quite noble of you to experiment with these therapies that probably won’t work rather than simply getting on the therapies that we know will work. For science!
Sooooo full of great info!!!!! Thank you for this video and the pics of the progress. The details you provided helped me make my own little routine for hair growth 🏆🙌🏼
I believe you must go much more vigorously about things. I have begun doing deep massaging, no it's not fun and nor is it easy. I had taken before photos only six weeks ago and now already my hair has thickened a bit and even many new ones have started coming to the surface across the totally bald areas of my widows peaks. I've also noticed MUCH less shedding, before many hairs would come out when running my hands through with a slight bit of pulling ... but, now, I can hardly pull one or two out when doing so! I'm excited and anxious to continue, I'd love to restore my hair as much as possible and retain it for my entire life!
Today, I bought a silicone hair massage tool just to help with applying Rogaine as I didn’t like how much it sticks to the hair and irritates my hands. I never knew about these other benefits though so I’m looking forward to testing it out myself. Thank you very much for making this video x 😊
@@julliekoning I found I couldn’t really get on with topical minoxidil, so I went with oral minoxidil instead. So I use that and oral finasteride. I use a hair growth oil by Essynaturals, because my hair dresser recommended oil as my hair looked dry. Virgin cold pressed Coconut oil works is cheaper and probably works better to be honest. Hi, you may need to use peppermint, eucalyptus, and cayenne oils-these are natural stimuli improves peripheral blood circulation and nourishes the scalp. pumpkin seed coats hair, not penetrated hair shaft or scalp for stimuli. research, but I am one who has grown my hair significantly from 2017 to now. please research, I would never steer you wrong
Yes peppermint and other oils with a scalp massage works I been doing that for 4 years my hair is long. But I use no heat or chemicals on my hair and I take vitamins
Try the scalp massage like on the channel “thick on top.” You pinch the scalp, push the skin back and forth and move your head muscles. It is supposed to improve blood flow.
I do scalp massage every day and I have had 2 hair transplants . I wash my hair every day with shampoo and conditioner to lubricate my scalp. After I have washed of the residue I take a rough bath towel, soft is no good and rub my scalp from front to back to stimulate blood flow. I don’t rub to hard as I don’t want to take any skin off. Holding the towel place in both hands spread out and rub . Massage the whole scalp but pay more attention to the bald areas. To begin with some of your hair will come out but that will stop. I hardly lose any hair now. I massage for about 2 minutes but you can do more. When you’re rubbing with the towel you will feel your scalp getting hot as your blood is diverted to the surface. You will get results I guarantee but you have to give it time. During the day usually whilst watching tv I also give my scalp a normal massage starting from the temples kneeding and pressing. Again don’t break the skin. No need for any oiling the conditioner will lubricate your scalp. The intention is to make your scalp and crown as vascular as the hair at the back of your head. Give it 6 months you will see a difference I promise
I used to have a lot of dandruff in my scalp, easily visible amount of it… I was applying oil to my scalp regularly which only made it worse and itchy…. So I stopped using oil and started using a scalp massager similar to yours and also shampooed once a week…… I don’t know about hair regrowth but my dandruff has reduced significantly……!!!
Bro, the AGA is because of DHT problem which miniaturize the hair from the root. Lycopene which from tomatoes is the key to regularize the excessive DHT. You can try out Lycopene suplement with certain mg base for 24 weeks and check out whether it improves hair growth or not. Hope to see this video in future.
@@TheMSMALIVE The same reason why your hair doesn't fall out on the back of your head or why some men don't get bald at all. Some hair follicies are sensitive to DHT and some are not because of receptor differencies. That being said why don't understand male pattern baldness completely, but it's pretty sure that DHT is the main contributor to hair loss.
@@TheMSMALIVE refer to peter's comment, but in general it's a huge fallacy to try to relate biological things like that. Just because there is a correlation that one element has on a specific process, it doesn't mean that it has a different effect on other things, be it positive/negative gene regulation, protein interactions, microRNA expression, competitive receptor inhibition, all of the above, you name it. Almost everything in the human body is more complicated than a lot of people realize.
I believe the purpose is trying to push blood upwards i dont see how either of those would do that. Start from areas on side where you have hair upwards to get blood to the top.
Thanks for taking the trouble. I have thinning hair at the front and I'm a woman. I've just bought a head massager with silicone tips in the hope that it will help. If it's any consolation, you have a very nice face and would look fine with or without hair. I'm not sure the same could be said for me! 😊

massage on dry scalp seems tough. I started doing it with the silicone massagers from aliexpress and sesame oil-rosmarine mix every three days and minoxy every day.
The downside of the metal one that you point out is easily remedied by changing the angle you use it. I go from the back of my head to get the top massaged.
You need to drink lots of water and get the sunlight light energy, doing hand stands or hanging upside down to get the blood to the head better. Try this for 6 months and do a video, it really all depends on your diet, plenty of water and sunlight just like plants etc it's from the inside out the growth, it works better in the summer 👍
thanks for the experiment, im sure presently you are probably doing minox/finas/microneedling, as they are more effective (edit: nvm according to your most recent vids, I dont think you started any hair regrowth regiment)

I'm also doing deep tissue hair messages and gently scratching my scalp with my fingernails. Diet is everything! I went off off of oral minoxidil and finasteride and my hair STOPPED falling out! I also noticed hair growing on my arms again. I am a 55 year old woman.
Also he women of some Arabian tribes use basil water to wash their hair, it keeps it thick and from greying. Just boil B organic basil until it turn a deep colour, let it cool and wash it in and let it dry.
Have you tried castor oil? There are various methods of using it but the one I followed was to mix 1 tablespoon of castor oil with 3 to 4 tablespoons of coconut/sesame oil depending upon the hair length. Apply this mixture twice a week at night before sleeping, then wash hair next day. In a few weeks I could notice lots of baby hair that had grown big enough to be noticed. Castor oil is very sticky so using too much directly without diluting might clog the pores.
Many years ago I worked in Singapore as an expat. I was young and experiencing hair loss. There was a hair treatment business that uses herbals and scalp massage for about 10~15 minutes. The overall duration of treatment would last for about 30~45 minutes, 2x a week.

Since you already are essentially bald you should shave your head down completely and then try cupping therapy like they use at an acupuncture place that would be the best way to draw a significant amount of blood into the area and then you can pull on the cups which will create a reverse myofascial release. I would be willing to bet this works way better than any other of the massage therapy but I don't want to try it because I don't want to shave my head
I've been using Nioxin system 2 (shampoo, conditioner and treatment) - that worked for me and took a few months to start seeing big results, but need to keep using it every day (which is fine as you don't need much for it to work). I'm trying to use the scalp massager to see if I can fix the hairline :) Nioxin thickened all of my existing hair and slowly regrowing some of the lost hair after a year. Hope massaging my head will speed up the process.
Yes, I think it's a tradeoff between improving blood flow and therefore hair thickness, but increasing hair fall from the friction of using a massage tool
Rosemary Oil in carrier oil. Castor oil, has regrown a lot of hair for me but it is about 9 months now. Well worth it I massage it it in for about 10 minutes and leave it in overnight.
The 20 min hand massage is VASTLY superior to massage tools. Although using both along with dermarolling once a week is the best way to treat hair loss. And doing handstands at least 5 mins a day to increase blood flow to the scalp. Honestly i dont think a 5 min massage a day with that tool is going to be that effective. It will be effective most likely but just not as effective as it other methods of massage/micro damage.
Back rolls can help too (curl up in ball and roll back and forth) as it can help blood flow to your head. But having said all this, genetic predisposition plays the biggest role and stressors that trigger the predisposition faster/sooner than expected. Basically, it will happen whether you like it or not and stressors along with foods you consume, and pollutants all trigger an increase in the rate of hair loss. Everyone has a set number of hair follicles and nothing can suddenly make more hair follicles appear on your scalp. What really happens in hair loss is not that you are losing hair, because humans always lose hair everyday all the time. It's when hair follicles are not regrowing the hair. So basically everyone is losing hair all the time, but baldness is when your hair follicles stop growing hair while other people's follicles keep growing it after it falls out.
minoxidil works very well for me aswell as green tea mixed in with a watery diluted natural shampoo I make, im at the very early stages of hairloss and thinning however, also concerning head massage I find doing the massage where you press on your temples and stretch up and down gently pushing the skin on the scalp up and down helps, including the head massage tool that compresses and stretches up and down with two bands across your head, hair volume can increase quite quickly for me, but if you don't keep it up, it thins very quickly aswell.
Four years of doing this and you're the first to mention Amla oil (as far as I can recall). I can actually tell there's a small difference. I think you should continue doing it.
Right I see actual results. ... from just the pumpkin seed oil. Glad I got some coming in.
One of the most underrated Fitness channels... the human flag... dang...
It’s a good thing to incorporate into your shower routine. I would add that adding in a good shampoo that cleans the scalp (tea tree oil) is good too. A laser cap coupled with this works wonders, in my experience.
Pure tea tree oil is shown to cause hair loss tho so u should dilute ur oils with a carrier oil like jojoba or castor oil
Try also massaging the muscles on your forehead and all around the skull at that level. This releases the tendons in your scalp which helps hair growth promoting blood flow.
you have no idea wtf you are talking about.
I will start massage now to bring back hair colour
problem is to keep it that way you need to use 5% minoxodol twice a day EVERY single day. Expensive and time consuming..
Dude don’t be discouraged by any thing,I wish that I had even half amount of the courage and positive spirit you have . Believe in god he has better things for you
I definitely see a difference, no matter how you do these massages, keep doing them :D
Do you see a difference in you or in the video?
These oils may be too much for you. But Jamaican black castor oil, peppermint oil, coconut oil & olive oil, applied topically ( massaging in). will do wonders ( apply at night or if working from home first thing in morning, & wash out later if need be. Bending your head down between legs while massaging increases blood flow expeditionally & hair growth. Hope this helps
That don’t help bending your head don’t help you’ll be more prone
Putting your head below your heart by itself doesn’t increase blood flow to the scalp . It will increase blood flow to your facial arteries etc but massaging , deep breathing, And Relaxing while elevating your neck down will definitely scientifically help.
"Bending your head down between legs..." If I could do that Id never leave my bedroom!! lmao

I just noticed that ! Got the scalp massager and the top of my scalp feels super tight almost painful but the rest if fine !
First time I see video on this topic without bs, appreciate it dude
Started doing scalp massage 2 times a day, 12 min per session, i don't really see any new hair growing or anything like this, but each session my hair would fall 29, and this have progressively getting lower, now I am at 7 hairs per sessions after 2 weeks. Also, my hair is super super soft now.
One small side effect I had at the beginning was some skin peeling off form my head, but honestly I dont care
Update?
Yeah what’s the update? Pls
Thats the dandruff not skin
The details you provided helped me make my own little routine for hair growth 🏆🙌🏼
dont understand. at 1:45 the massage group did not experience any hair density increase, am i missing something?
Glad someone else noticed it too! Puzzling...

I bought 2 different types of silicone hair massager. I recommend a fully silicone one by beutail because it’s softer. I use a hair growth oil by Essynaturals, because my hair dresser recommended oil as my hair looked dry. Virgin cold pressed Coconut oil works is cheaper and probably works better to be honest. The minoxidil stuck to my hair and did a real number on it. The oil is meant for the overall condition not really growth. Although I bought one that supposedly does have some effect.

I’ve noticed the more I massage my scalp the more it irritates it and makes it itchier :/ even just brushing / combing it irritates it
I used to have a lot of dandruff in my scalp, easily visible amount of it…
I was applying oil to my scalp regularly which only made it worse and itchy….
So I stopped using oil and started using a scalp massager similar to yours and also shampooed once a week……
I don’t know about hair regrowth but my dandruff has reduced significantly……!!!
Tell me, how can DHT be responsible for loosing hair on top of head and at the same time support growing a beard?

The downside of the metal one that you point out is easily remedied by changing the angle you use it. I go from the back of my head to get the top massaged.
well done by always having same hair length and such. Good job on the video!
Thank you very much for your experiment on yourself. Appreciate the effort taken. Very helpful. Thank you🙏🏻
thanks for the experiment, im sure presently you are probably doing minox/finas/microneedling, as they are more effective (edit: nvm according to your most recent vids, I dont think you started any hair regrowth regiment)
After one month on Carnivore diet, my hair started growing back after over a decade of trying everything under the sun!

Have you done with Minoxidil and dermarolling?
I've been using Nioxin system 2 (shampoo, conditioner and treatment) - that worked for me and took a few months to start seeing big results, but need to keep using it every day (which is fine as you don't need much for it to work). I'm trying to use the scalp massager to see if I can fix the hairline :) Nioxin thickened all of my existing hair and slowly regrowing some of the lost hair after a year. Hope massaging my head will speed up the process.
Interesting, I haven't heard of that brand before, will take a look, cheers
There's also mirco needling.
Does baldness affect you whole scalp and nor just the top?
So going by the graph, after 24 weeks of the massage your hair density would actually be worse than it was initially??
Yes, I think it's a tradeoff between improving blood flow and therefore hair thickness, but increasing hair fall from the friction of using a massage tool

Castor oil is very thick and clogs the pores and folicles it cant grow hair lol 😂
Do you use it while shampoong your hair or when your hair dry? Also should you shave first your hair to see better results? Thanks mate

Excellent professional study.👍
Guys if anyone is trying to regrow use a derma roller or microneedling then massage with oil! Hope this helps 😊
Have you produced results with this technique?
First honest video thanks bro
Would I be able to do this once per day for 20 mins and derma stamp once a week and still get results?
What about the oilsmu put in ur hair for growth hair?
Lol wrong.

minoxidil works very well for me aswell as green tea mixed in with a watery diluted natural shampoo I make, im at the very early stages of hairloss and thinning however, also concerning head massage I find doing the massage where you press on your temples and stretch up and down gently pushing the skin on the scalp up and down helps, including the head massage tool that compresses and stretches up and down with two bands across your head, hair volume can increase quite quickly for me, but if you don't keep it up, it thins very quickly aswell.

Four years of doing this and you're the first to mention Amla oil (as far as I can recall). How about a before and after from doing headstands for extreme blood flow to the scalp, I bet that would work better
In one of the books I read about hair loss it said that the blood flow doesn't need to be so intense and you're better off at a shallower incline, something like lying on a bed with your head off the end. My latest hair growth routine involves the yoga pose called downward dog, held for 3-4 mins each morning

Do an experiment of 'Prostration effect on Hair growth' please. You gonna attract tonszz of religious subscribers, specially Muslims, despite the result. It did increase my root strength and thicken hair shaft, however sadly there still no apparent new hair follicles, YET!. I had a few people suggest various body positions that would increase blood flow to the scalp and it sounds like that's what prostration achieves. I'm now taking 5000mcg of biotin a day (see latest video) because it's almost impossible to get those levels with food
just letting you know that you don't need to regrow hair. this look with very small hair looks great.
I like how this video is a laypersons's experiment. I've seen a few where someone put something in their hair once. I think I will try this.

If possible do headstand before your head message for minnimum 2 minutes it will increase the blood flow and in turn help your hair growth.
Try using Rosemary essential oil as well as Peppermint oil. Also, pay attention to which type of shampoo you are using.
