  • This is my 15-month update for using minoxidil. At around the 6-7 month mark, I added in .5mg of Fin EOD, and in January of 2021, I upped the dosage to .5mg every day. In this video, I'll talk about a HUGE mistake I made with Minoxidil and how it really hurt my hair re-growth. Watch this video and don't let this happen to you!!
    Thanks for watching!

Glad to see an update! I really appreciate your videos because reading about this topic seems very generic after awhile and less like a conversation that you offer. I am currently applying minoxidil and taking finasteride daily, but wondering about the jump to derma rolling and interesting in your thoughts a long the way. No pressure, but you are an outlet, for a lot of us it seems, as a reliable source of no BS when it comes to this topic. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

I can’t speak on it too much yet since I just started, but it looks like based on the comment section that most people would recommend I up to mm to 1.0 or 1.5mm and do it once a week instead of .25mm every other day how I do it now.
I personally am going to stick to what I’m doing for a few months before I jump ship and listen to anyone else.

Hey man Thanks for making this videos, they are truthful experiences and gives a real perspective of what one might experience. Just started with minoxidil and for what I gather you can take a few day breaks here and there but if you stop in one or two months your gonna loose those “minoxidil hairs” and when you come back to it your gonna go to that awkward shedding fase again.

Great routine. Same thing happened to me when I stopped Minoxidil, massive 5 months of shedding. Hopped back onto Minoxidil October 2021. I'm taking 0.5mg of Dutasteride every day, Minoxidil and Nizoral Shampoo. I'm 66 and my hair is responding really well to these big 3 Treatments.

My hair is medium but I know if I buzzed it would look terrible as my hair is lighter than yours and I'm 37 nearly 38. It is thinner but looks alright short at sides, long at top.

Just wanted to acknowledge some information regarding using the 1.5 mm dermaroller. Some people indicate using the device rolled over the scalp once a week. But, other individuals claim that is way to much, and you need to let your scalp heal (their advice is to use once every 3-4 weeks).

Thanks for updating even in the bad periods cause it sure is annoying. I've been on minox + fina since 5 month and i was seriously thinking about quiting the minox because i'm lazy, now i may reconsider it. Although we can't really see with that lenght but u still seem to have hairs everywhere and the top is pretty dark without the bright light, so i really wonder how much u actually lost, doesn't seem that catastrophic was the shedding really that heavy (like more than 100 hairs/day) ? And did u entirely quit minox for 6-8 weeks or just being inconsistent during that time ?

There was at least 4 -5 weeks were I was completely off it and the other 2-3 weeks was probably none or very little at all.

One thing you should consider, is a one time hair transplant. You have thick donor area I can tell. So you thicken up all the thinner areas and keep taking Finasteride, and you can forget about minoxidil. Or, if you are not ready for a HP, you can take oral Minoxidil, which is lot more potent and is more comfortable to take as its a pill. Just make sure you dont go over 2.5 mg per day

Thanks for a great informative video mate! I'm just about to start trying to treat my hair as got Covid last summer and suddenly at 45 went thin all over! ( having started receding when I was 40 but the top still being thick so didn't bother me) I grew my hair out in lockdown it's like 8 inches long now! First time I had long hair since I am as like 15 or 16! Lol ...I've always had PROPERLY thick dark hair curly/wavey (although my dad did and lost his hair in his mid 30s/40 and my younger brother who was Blond lost his at just 22!!! Dad's dad lost his in his 30s or 40 I think? So I thought I was doing well holding onto it into my 40s! But got Long Covid last July to this February nearly killed me (as I'm asthmatic) but side effect is top of my hair gone properly thin ALL OVER! It's still got fine hair everywhere except my temples (and the sides and back are still thick! It's just the top and crown in fact I had developed a bit of an island at the front last year and if anything, when I grew my hair out and was massaging it, it started to get a bit thicker and more coverage at first! BUT now it's thin ALL over the top/crown, Even though it's long, so looks bot stupid now in all honesty! I want to try and thicken it up before I start getting out again and being in my mid 40s I've actually been single last 3 years lockdown didn't help, I'd like to try and get out n about back in the game and meet a new girl (in her mid 30s ideally) As I'm in reasonably good shape and told I look about 5-10 years younger than my age (USUALLY!) However this hair loss is "NOT ACCEPTABLE!" LOL 😅🤦🏻 I look 10 years older than last year! So I REALLY need to reverse this if I can and if it's not too late! SO...
I have no clue where to start!
I bought 2 X Derma Rollers, a 1.5mm and a 2mm and a 12needle automatic micro needling pointy machine thing lol.. anyhow I thought I'd try to cover my bases before I start a routine!
Like I say I have no idea where to start, I wondered what mm Roller yon use!? Also how much is/where do you get your treatments from the minoxodil and the fenistolride or whatever theyre called?
Given my hair is like pretty long I was wondering whether k could derma roll it and treat it and let the new hair grown through the long hair so I don't have to cut it, or whether you'd advise cutting it before derma rollering it? Or whether it doesn't matter??
Any help you can offer I'd much appreciate mate..
Sorry for the essay but I don't wanna mess this up!! You get one chance right!!?
    Thanks from London England 👍💪😎

Studies have shown that adding microneedling to a minoxidil treatment, improves results 400%. Minoxidil and microneedling are best friends with each other! If you want to know how often you can microneedle, do a small spot on your inside arm at the same time until that spot gets very very red. Then just wait for your little red spot to go away and you can microneedle your scalp again and create a new litmus marker on your arm.

For sure - some improvement, maybe 15% of density improvement? Hard to say, pros and cons - but also bothering routine, itching scalp, shitty look... Infinite battle... Now I'm observing even bigger regression after dropping minox, but not so bad still. But I don't think I go back to minoxidil again :( as very limited results over 1 year, so not expecting further improvement, only to stop balding progression... not worth...
