Today's video: a VERY different topic from what we're used to, but i've had A LOT of people asking for this (mainly in my weightloss video in the comments and via email and DM). Today I share with you my hair loss journey and how i was able to grow it back! Now, this wasnt a small feat, and it required dedication and regularly using the KEEPS treatment. I am so grateful to have started it and am able to share my experience with you! I hope this encourages anyone out here who felt like there was no hope and have hair thinning, hair receding or any level hair loss. This is how I grew my hair back!

For a long time i was stressed how my family, friends and GF would react to me going bald, i actually thought that they wouldn't want to hangout/associate with me. After i accepted my baldness i shaved my head, to my surprise everyone around me embraced this new look. My GF is now my fiancé. Life is good. I recently started keeps with fin and min, i have no expectations, because with or without hair i am loved. To anyone else going through this i hope you also find that youre worth it. Its okay to worry and its okay to want to look good and youthful.

For those who're wondering why his hair degraded before it got better, hair shedding is a normal part of the process because just like follicle miniaturization, the bulk of the progress happens during the telogen to anagen phase transition, when old follicles die and are replaced by new ones.
The shedding can be more or less visible depending on how synchronized your hair follicles are so there's nothing to worry about 😉

@@ghosttemplate1508 Probably because your hair loss hadn't stabilized yet and ended up outpacing the effects of minoxidil. That factor probably compounded with an insufficient response to minoxidil to begin with.
I'd recommend applying topical tretinoin (once daily 1hr to 30 mins before bedtime when the lights are off) to increase your response to minoxidil, weekly microneedling at 1.5mm to promote additional growth factors in your scalp and last but not least, a 5-ar inhibitor like finasteride or dutasteride to curtail the rate of hair miniaturization.
There are even more powerful and brutal treatments you could try outside of a transplant but I don't feel comfortable mentioning those to someone who didn't seem to find a better protocol than minoxidil for at least 1.5 years... no offense.
You cannot attack hair loss willy-nilly and expect to wing it in the long term. You need a plan that covers every angle and a lot of discipline (what most people actually lack). Minoxidil-only is definitely not a plan.
      Hope that helps 👍

My biggest recommendation for all you kings with hairloss, get your thyroid checked. That was one of my issues that led to rapid hair loss. It's a simple blood test, if you don't have enough of that hormone or too much, there is an extremely long list of side affects, like weight gain and things, but on the topic of this video, it causes hair loss. I was undiagnosed for about 3 years when it went bad, and I'm now on my hair regrowth journey.
My recommendation, since anything medical is expensive, look at the list of side affects, if you think that pertains to you, please get a blood test and check for thyroids.

The dermatologist said I didn't need those things, that's why I stopped, but I may go back to the derma pen and laser helmet.

I started Hims 1mg Finasteride and Minoxidil Rogaine extra strength 5 mg back in December. I was taking my finasteride 1mg pill every morning and Rogaine twice a day, morning and evening. I experienced a little insomnia, erectile dysfunction and a much lower libido. But the doctor told me to cut the dosage to every other day for the finasteride and once a day for the Rogaine. And that has helped tremendously with the side effects. You're going to shed and that's a good indicator it's working because your hair has a 3 month cycle anyway. My crown is filling in and it's much thicker up front. So don't stress, it's all part of the process. And maintain a healthy diet and get fresh air. Stressing was one of my main triggers in speeding up the thinning process. I also invested in a derma roller and that has been a huge game changer as well.

I’m 20 now and ignored my anxiety and got a hair cut for a job interview. It’s not perfect but it looks a lot better . It was kinda crazy. The worst 2 years with tons of anxiety. Depression and the constant pain of trying to decide if I should shave my head, just gone. Now I’m trying to fix what I have now and thicken it. What was done in a year was done in less then 7 months! Your completely right about the 3 phases, new collagen and blood need to circulate into the scalp. The best way to do that is derma roll your scalp. There is a lot of positive testimony for derma rolling your scalp with the help of Keeps or minoxidil on UA-cam. I’m 18 and I’ve been seeing my hair thinning, obviously it sucks so much that this is something that we even need to worry about when it’s something other people don’t even think about. I can relate to just struggling so much with how I feel just because of my hair, when I know I shouldn’t be since I have so many things to be grateful for and a great life and life is such a beautiful thing. I went through a really bad few months where everyday was horrible, buts it’s been getting better, I told myself I could get through it, and yes my hair is still the same but I have the confidence to push through it and get to where I want with it. And I hope that can inspire that in you. I know it is hard to always feel confident or even good about it, but start with telling yourself I can get through this, and remember all of the things you’ve pushed through before. Have faith it will be able to get better and it will. I’ve put a lot of care and research into figuring out what’s best for me and I know you can do the same. I know It’s tough, but you know how much it means to you, so I know you’ll be able to figure out what is best for you to do, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. At this age it isn’t something we should have to deal with just on our own. And just know, with faith and discipline, it WILL get better, and remember, nobody gets to tell you what you should do about your appearance since at the end of the day, as long as you are making safe and healthy choices, you are the one who knows what will make you feel confident, happy and be able to get by.

No the hair follicles don't die, they only shrink due to over calcification of the scalp or better described calcification of the capillaries that feed the follicles with blood and nutrients. If you can get blood supply into these follicles they will reanimate and begin the hair growing process again. That's what minoxidil can do by dilating the blood vessels, or by vigourous massage...see my channel "mauric99".

The hair on my head started thinning significantly following an extremely stressfull time in my life. So, I myself researched the internet & decided to experiment with a hair oil called litttleextra coocoonion and a comb made of neem wood. It really truly made a difference. Now, I have long, thick, black hair which has reached my waist & cut off three times after I began using it. Simple and good. Also, equally good is rubbing the scalp - it stimulates the growth. You only need to do this weekly. Before long, you will see short hairs starting to grow.

From what I understand it's very uncommon to regrow hair where it has completely disappeared (even with the use of KEEPS) . The research shows finasteride and minoxidil definitely helps to keep what you have, but it is super rare to regrow hair that has been lost. I am highly skeptical of that much re-growth. Wrong. Diet & nutrition can speed up male pattern balding but it can't reverse it. Finasteride actually blocks the DHT that causes your hair to shrink and cause hair loss. Eating fatty foods/smoking weed has been shown to speed up the process, but only in people who are already susceptible to balding via genetics.
