Thank you Jimmer, never driven the R18 in any games before this video and the one where you first drove it, and you were right i tried it on Project cars 2 and it felt like home right away, tried it on GT Sport and the same thing.
i always drive the R18 in GT Sport and I like very very much, more than other lmp1.
it's difficult to push hard with this lmp1 but is very fast if you understand the car and know where braking and accelerating into the circuit

Dividing the leaderboard is a good idea. Maybe you can turn this into a weekly series, one week a race car and next week a road car laps the nords.
i like the idea of having a different table for road, and race cars.

My suggestion regarding the leaderboards would be to keep an overall table going, but of course divide them into categories too!
Fantastic lap, Jimmy! I suspect that, if there was an iELMS round at the Nordschliefe, you'd be one of (if not the) quickest drivers on a single lap with the R18.
There was one (It was Nurburgring-Combined) I'm fairly certain he was the fastest Audi

They need to scan the Nordshleife again...it has new tarmac. They placed new tarmac on the track recently, some of those bumps dont exist anymore its flat now. Not sure if the track is already open tho. I love the Audi r18 so much! good vid :)
it should be open right now.in 1 or 2 weeks (i think 1 week) there is a race on the nordschleife (VLN)

What I have heard is the owners of Norschleife has the laser scan data of the track, and that scan is sold to game/sim developers. The game/sim developers might not even be allowed to scan the track (with any reasonable price). This means it is not possible to get a new scan unless track owners create new one. This info might be wrong though, got it from PCars devs if my memory is correct :)
(And if someone is wondering how the track feels different in different titles even when they use same scan, it might be due to differences in how the laser scan data is interpreted/interpolated to actual track surface mesh. Also, curb behavior of physics engine might give a very different feel. Well, and of course there is a possibility I'm wrong and they are indeed using different laser scan data :P )
@@pekkasalminen9601 Well, I didnt specify who need to scan. "I said they need to scan the nordshleife again"! And its the game Devs that do it...not exactly the game devs, the devs pay certain specialized companies to do it! The diference on sims is due to the fact there is 2 methods of laser scanning! 1 is the cheaper way of doing it like asseto corsa, they drive a car along the track with a L.I.D.A.R. on it scanning, similiar process to what Google street view does, depending on the tye of car, the line it takes etc etc can bring some minor diferences. the other process most expensive one, the one that iRacing uses is to stop every 100 meters or so and have a laser scanning "thingy" on a platform/tripod thing that then takes a minute or two scanning everything in sight! Thats why there is some diferences...

I enjoyed the effort you put into this, but it kind of illustrates why I never became a fan of Hybrid LMP1. It turns the driver into a system manager.
ERS is automatic in LMP1 as part of the rules. Not all games reflect that

About it being faster than the 919 Hybrid, I am not suprised!. In Asetto Corsa, the R18 is way easier to drive fast than the 919. It does not really feel that the 919 want to follow directions :)

I´d personally prefer to not split the table but only show a part of it if it doesn´t fit on the screen anymore. Havíng all different car classes compared to each other in only one chart is the best part of it, you would lose that if splitting into road cars and race cars.
