This game was attacked violently during launch from Dirt rally 2.0 fans. The game never got a chance to shine until EA WRC came out. This game got hated so much that barely any people played it, its player average is 80-120 people. This is severly low compared to EA WRC which is 600-1200 average. Hopefully people are finally realising how good this game is.
Yeah in fairness. I didn't know much about it until I made my review on EAWRC. But with how much worse that game is compared to this. Hopefully people will give it the praise it didn't get at launch
Throttle issue is why being attacked then Dirt rally 2 reason Below 60% to 70% throttle input car does nothing, so you need press more then 80% to move This issue never been fixed and they abandoned it
@@Kortex_Racing there are still wrong physics in Generations Front wheel pulling dont exists on some low hp 4wd cars like WRC2 and Classics it behaces like RWD Example full throttling while steering car dont spins all the time it just dead stop till Rear Tyres gets the grip And RWD and FWD cars wrong they acts like 4WD car with Torque bias tuned rear/front. This was my first Rally Sim and I couldn't understand the hate for this game. When EA WRC launched I didn't understand it even more. This was a fantastic physics system in my opinion on PS5 especially when I compare it to the dismal tarmac feel of EA WRC.

Modding tools were released for WRC Generations recently. Modders will soon improve this game a lot like they did with WRC 8 and 9. For better performance I would recommend the DLSS to FSR mod for WRCG. With FSR 2.2 on Quality I can run this game on HIGH settings with stable 60 FPS on RX 580 8GB. Also WRCG goes on sale every month for like 8-10$
just bought this game since it is on sale but encountered some issues with my g29 pedal. while i was tweaking my settings, it does not recognize my throttle anymore. then when i switched back to eawrc/dr2, it messed up my rotation..is this a known issue? and my cheap (arduino) handbrake, it detects the handbrake and scrolls by itself 😢
Yes there are lots of known issues regarding peripheral support, all of which have been there for all 11 entries in the series from KT which is pretty ridiculous.
@@therevjt85 well so far, I'm not having any peripheral issues. I use a moza R9 wheelbase with CRP pedals and a CS wheel and nothing to report there so far
@@sbsimulators6913 yeah, I'm not saying peripherals don't work or that everyone will face issues but the whole series has had issues with devices like sequential shifters and handbrakes being recognised as Xbox controllers and users unable to assign controls. After 11 games we shouldn't still have to mess around creating virtual usb devices in order to perform fundamental actions in game. It's not a deal breaker but it is annoying.
@@therevjt85 Yeah in fairness. I'm not familiar with the whole KT WRC franchise as a whole so I was unaware of that issue until it was mentioned. I only found out about WRC generations after I was let down by EA's WRC. Still, despite the looming issue with some controllers not working. I would still prefer playing this over EA's WRC any day of the week.
I bought this one in addition to EA WRC as they are both quite cheap on sale. EA WRC has fixed the stuttering issues, not that I had any on PC. You also missed a glaringly large difference between the two, and that is the sound. Like DR 2.0, EA WRC has MUCH better sound. That's important in these games and KT has never been able to get it right. Both good games to own at the price.
Okay yeah your right actually, I should have talked about the sounds in both this and EA's WRC. My apologies there. Glad to hear that Codies have fixed the stuttering issue. I found out about from steam where EA announced an update that fixes the stuttering. Something that I complained about massively in my review of EA's WRC. But as promised I will be taking a second look at it and see how I think about it now compared to then
One thing I hate about EA WRC is the ridiculous progression where you need a lot of playing time to reach level 20 and even then, most of the unlockables are stuck behind the paywall. And then you get reset to level 1 every so often just to unlock the other extras like racing suits, liveries etc. It really forces players to spend on microtransactions which is always a big letdown for me. While other games like GT7 has integrated microtransactions, I could at least unlock everything in GT7 without microtransactions if you know where the big payout events are and if you're willing to get the Gold times on the Licences and the circuit experience.
