I’ve owned a Nolan 100-5 for two years now. My thoughts: it’s a decent mid-range helmet if you can get it on sale. I bought this helmet because I wanted a BT system that worked seamlessly. I did a lot of research and found this model. I also found it on sale and got the BT and helmet together on a deal for about 400 euros. Comfort: 3/5. Nolan uses only two shells for this model. S/M and L/XL+. The medium was too tight so I had to go L. While it fit, the L shell weighs more and bigger. So more wind resistance and stress on my neck. My neck got stronger and that no longer an issue but the larger shell creates more wind noise. Style: 4/5. It’s a good looking helmet but larger on my head than I’d like due to the limited shell options. BT functionality: 4/5. It works great within the Nolan system, not so good connecting to others like Cardo. Other systems seemed to connect to me easier than I to them. Disconnecting was a pain too. I had to completely turn off mine to get my music back on. I have tried upgrading the firmware several times and it just keeps failing. It could be user error but I am fairly tech-savvy so if I can’t do it, then it’s overly complicated or not intuitive. At higher speeds, I have to turn it off because there’s too much wind noise. I have a quiet bike too, so it might be worse with a louder exhaust. The battery does last a long time but uses an older style USB connector. If I forget to bring it on a longer overnight trip, I am SOL as that connection system is hard to find now. My next helmet will be a Schuberth or Shoei. I’ll save up for the higher quality. Overall, I was happy with the helmet as the price was right for the quality. If you’re on a budget, this is a solid helmet.
Can I install my Cardo Packtalk Black intercom on N100-5? Can I use the clip or should I use the sticker, if so where should I ideally position the device?
Nice helmet but not glasses friendly despite the grooves in the padding. Pinches around the back of the ears from the glasses arms not having any space, and the lining although plush, isn't the same each side(Quality control on the stitching overlay on the side pads?) so my glasses keep ending up at an angle(one side higher than the other). Zero issues with both my Shoei GT Air and Shoei XR1100 full face helmets so seems to be just the Nolan N105-plus. Nice quality materials tho, fine helmet if you don't need glasses but definitely try it out in the shop if you do wear them. Tired with both wire frames and thick arm frame glasses.... Also anyone else getting a draft around the ears with helmet fully closed??? Can't fathom where it's coming from, helmet tightly fitting, snug around base, almost seems to be coming in through the modular shell?

Since we do not import the N100-5 Plus to the United States at this time, I honestly can't say if the LPC (Liner Positions Control) makes any difference in how the helmet fits. Helmets made for different certifications do have subtle differences, and the N100-5 Plus is made to ECE and not DOT certification. Thank you for the info though. When and if we decide to import the N00-5 Plus, we will check this out.
Hello Jeff, the video was made with pre-DOT production models from Italy. These were ECE certified. We do not furnish DOT stickers for any helmets that do not come to the United States without one.
@@nolangroupusa9974 Seems like Nolan as a global brand should start thinking about aligning their products if they sell gear that could potentially be used anywhere legally no matter where it's purchased from. #Nolangroup
@@OldmanYolo Or maybe the USA should get off the dinosaur of a safety standard that is the DOT. An ice cream bucket filled with facial tissues would pass DOT minimums.

Hello, yes you can install the Cardo Packtalk. Please use the adhesive and make sure it is not in the way of the VPS lever

Didn't see a DOT sticker on those helmets in the promo...if mine came looking like that, could I ask for a DOT sticker?
