I have one, the same colour as well. I also have a Nolan N80-8 full face. Out of the 2 I find this one the better of the 2. The visor, sun visor and vents are easier to operate with gloves on. Comfort wise they are about the same. Noise wise (I never use ear plugs) there are both about the same. I fitted Sena 3s plus intercom in both, it fitted the N100-5 better. Biggest difference was price. £150 for N100-5 & £250 N80-8.
I love the N100-5 for sure. I haven't use the N80-8, but I have the N85 which was pretty nice, but it has since deteriorated over time and miles and isn't really usable for riding anymore. I have zero regrets on the N100-5, though I do have some on the NCOM system.
Your review has now sold me to buy this helemt. One feature I was hoping it had was the ratchet chin strap. I find almost all high end ones have that Double D chin strap and I find that to complicated to use and maybe I am to dumb also. Thanks for that great review.
It really is a great helmet and I love the strap. Found myself having to fasten it the other day when I forgot to do it before my ride and it makes its so easy that you don't even have to pull over like you would, or at least should , with the double D.
Great review. I'm considering this helmet. How did you find the sizing? Did the padding compress after a while? I'm sort of between medium and large head size so it's always a bit tricky!
I found it fit true perfect. It starts tight then compresses a bit but not too much. It's still a pretty firm squeeze on me so I wouldn't want to size too big. If you can find one at a local shop I would try them on there. If not, RevZilla with free returns or somewhere similar. That "in between" is a tough one, my wife is like that, we always size down with the Nolan's and it's a bit tight but not to the point where she can't wear it for hours.
The only gripe I have with the Nolan N100-5 Plus is the fitment. I'm normally a L on AGV, Shoei and MT Helmet, but the Nolan's N100-5 plus fits too snug with my chin barely caressing the chin bar... oh wells.
That's interesting, I haven't heard of them running small. I fit large in most helmets including Nolan and have no issues. Chin doesn't touch chin bar and even has room for mic.
I have seen many reviews on this helmet with many saying to buy one size up and I did that as a small fits me but I ordered a Medium and will be getting it this week via the mail.

Another great video. What city are you making this videos? I am in central Florida.
I am up in south central PA. Funny thing is I was just in Melbourne FL for two weeks!
