Test Rockrider E-ST 500 from 2023 Thank you for your modification I tried. So you can do 450-500 pedals cycle and then the motor goes off without say anything. You have to turn off the computer and then back on. But I did 7km and the engine went off 2 times. The max speed on the flat road 41km/h but the engine still going so you can go faster. But your battery life on mode 1 took 10% in 7km. Normally I can do 100km range on mode 1, also 65km in mode 2, and 50km in mode 3 on a flat road with AVG speed 22km/h without the hack. So what this video explain is good but your engine going off when you ride more than 3km range. I hope you guys this review helpful and you can go realy fast in mode 1 with this modification but you know the result. So I do it back for factory result because I am happy with the 100km of range. Peace and love. 😊
Thanks to Pasquale! It worked for me. Now I can go 33% faster. My magnet is 15mm x 1mm (North). I used 4x cable ties and some double-sided tape as well. I was a little concerned that the magnet and the sensor were not exactly lining up, but I got them as close as I could. And hey, it works. I'm carrying spare magnets around with me in case something knocks my magnet off. So happy!
Thanks for the video . I have done it on my new est 900 and it works! In eco mode goes easy to 35km/h , in Standard to 40 km/h . The problem is that with new latest est 990 model , with new Brose lcd control screen , happens that after about 500 pedal turns the power assistance off. Is like the system knows that the speed sensor has been moved . To have the power back I need to off the control screen and on it again. It seems that only the new 900 est model have this problem

@@pasqualeagnello3341 Do you think it would work on the Riverside 500e? And what does the magnet do? Would just removing the plug not be enough? (the Riverside has the speed sensor on the actual pedals)
I have already done the same for my Rockrider e ST 900 it works very well, however be careful not to have an accident because they watch a lot, I have unbridled my bike for a few months but I strongly advise you not to unbridle the engine if you live in a city the chances of hitting someone are greater, the brakes are of good quality that's not the question but it will take you longer to stop. We can go up to 40 km / h on the flat, beyond it is possible but it will be very hard with a motor of about 350W! At 35km / h on plato doesn't force it too much. The maximum assistance speed is 75km / h. (34/11 = 3) 25 x 3 = 75km / h Above 45 there is hardly any assistance. We pedal too fast for the engine. The autonomy is 30 km do not hope to do much more especially if you put in mode 3.

Ciao!
There's a magnet on the wheel that is used to calculate your real speed. After this modification, because you put a magnet on a pedal it now considers that your pedal speed is your wheel speed. It can't know what is the real speed because of that.

It is easy to do, works fine.

Hello, the video is great. But I have a different question, in the "500" series models you can also increase the speed a bit by changing the wheel size to 30 km / h. In my case, it was enough, did you find this option in the menu? Did you or someone else do it?
@@pasqualeagnello3341 I don't think he means physically changing the wheel, i think he means change wheel size on odometer but that only gives a fake reading changing from a 24" up to say 27.5" is going to make it think it's rotating at a faster rate therefore giving a faster mph/kph output on the odometer
You have to check if the speed sensor is more or less the same.... In that case, you can try. The only big difference with the E ST-900 is the engine, so, if you apply this hack, you should have not enough power to pass 30km/h... In every case, check and try 😁

There's a magnet on the wheel that is used to calculate your real speed. After this modification, because you put a magnet on a pedal it now considers that your pedal speed is your wheel speed. It can't know what is the real speed because of that.
On my new e-st900 I can’t get the sensor screw undone! Wondering if they have glued it in.

Its not possible to Change wheel size... In the menu its only possible to set km to miles, during of display lightning and another setting....
What happens if you just remove the magnet off the back wheel?
It will not register any speed, so it not activate the motor 😃
It is easy to do, works fine. Just have to guess why detect the change.

@@pasqualeagnello3341 like e iscrizione d'obbligo, riusciresti a dirmi qualcosa in piu riguardo a questo modulo?

By the way. Imagine if you had 42T in front instead of default 34T. You could easily reach 50 km/h without that crazy RPM on pedals.

I think it's not a good idea, because the motor is not powerful enough, there is about 350w regardless of your gear ratio you will have the problem of the wind, if I'm wrong make a youtube video and watch that you are going at 55km / h on the flat.
in addition in the big climbs have a 42 teeth for a chainring you will not be able to climb the hill
@@emericperez9244 Dude! You have 42t in the back casette! 1:1 ratio with assistance is more than enough for climbing! Personally I hit 48km/h on regular MTB with 42t-11t on flat during calm hot weather ( no wind and 33C temp ).
If you install a 38t you can keep the original chain guide, and you can use the original chain, it's still long enough.
