      Thanks a bunch! A really, really good tomato for sure. Each grow in each yard can be somewhat different, but for us one of the best tasting we have had. :)

      Thanks a bunch! Really happy those made it over. The mail had bounced it around several times as this chaos arrived. LOL You have been such a great friend to us for several years now and wanted to get a share to you for like 3 years almost. Going to be a unique and hopeful grow year for sure. Our seeds are chaotic and untested. Just have to remind. Been seeing your FB market grow posts and that looks legit and super professional. Worry our seeds may not be as expected but more so to inspire finding something unique. Rambling again. LOL

    Sounded like a good mater to me. Really thought it would have been a lot sweeter. Awesome taste test! Have a great day!

      Thanks tons! After having that Amana recently to compare it to helped a lot. This one I think would be better for a salsa, but more typical kind for us. Like a red salsa. We expected it to be a lot sweeter as well and even though it tasted more like a red flavor than the other yellows, it was really, really good.

    I bought seeds of this tomato today, I've planted them and can't wait for them to grow 😍 last few years I've had to travel a lot so I always leave just before my tomatoes ripen and always come back after the whole plant has died, so I never get to taste the fruits of my labour 😭😭😭❤

    Nice. On average how many tomatoes do you get off one of these plants?

    • @UT33200

      Thanks a bunch! We grow in containers and have a short season. We also crowd grow alot since we have so little space but usually we get around 5-15. I say that though because this is a really great indeterminate type and in the ground or a better grow situation could be alot better. :)

      @@UT33200 Thanks for your reply. Yes I know that container gardening produces less fruit. I'm willing to give it a try if i can get 5-10 from this variety. Fingers crossed.

    Put i really like tomato how does the yellow tomato taste

    • @UT33200
      @UT33200  2 роки тому

      Thanks a bunch! Yellow and orange tomatoes are great flavors for sure. Yellows tend to lean a little more mild than the brighter oranges but both really seem to carry alot more sweet taste akin to a fruit than a vegetable. Still a tomato and tomato flavor for sure but alot sweeter like a citrus style acidity. :)

    doesn't look like a bi-color and it's my understanding Pineapple is a bi-color. This one looks like Hawaiian Pineapple which is supposed to be a solid light golden/orange. ???

    • @UT33200
      @UT33200  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks tons! That is very probable I think. Last year(2019) we grew one called 'Pineapple' with the 'Mr. Stripey' moniker next to it and it did have some variation in it. The one from this video was from the 2018 season and Baker Creek seeds just labeled 'Pineapple'. Both had a noticeable flavor difference as well even having been tried in different seasons. We really liked the 2018 one which caused us to want to grow it again and wasn't a ton disappointed since both were excellent, but have noticed that. Thanks for the info as it helps to look for that specific variety in the future. :)

    indeterminate?

    • @UT33200
      @UT33200  5 років тому

      Thanks a bunch! The Pineapple tomato is indeterminate. A determinant tomato variety will grow to a certain size and produce a certain amount of fruit and then it is done. An indeterminate will grow and grow almost wild if not maintained until it no longer has ability due to weather or space. Hope that answered the question. Not sure if I included it in the vid as to which this type was, but it is an indeterminate heirloom.
