- We had about a week of rain and i lost a few of these guys to rotting right on the vine and a little bit of late blight because of the rain. Still a good harvest and these are sure some whopper tomatoes!!!! No fertilizer, chemicals, amended soil or anything of any kind to get these tomatoes to grow. just rain from the sky and good natural soil.
The weeds are definitely not starting to die back yet. Dog gone I would have to put my glasses on. It's like hunting for Easter eggs.
I had some pineapple tomatoes that I grew from seeds....and then transplanted to the garden. Something ate them to the ground, while leaving the others alone. I know....weird. Glad you got some big ones. Thanks for the tour of your garden.
Awesome looking tomatoes!
I’ve got some Pineapple Tomatoes growing right now in a clay pot with some fox farm, Hope mine grow aswell as yours do!
i didnt know what color they'd be...thank you
I am growing pineapple tomatoes for the first time this year. I had no idea they would be so big!
me neither ...i have one that's huge and it's still got a ways to go
You have quite a few poke plants growing in there.
peelmeone we call them prick weed lol
Someone made a list and said the pineapple tomato is the one of the top three best tasting.
They are! I got one from a friend and I ate the whole thing plain. I never eat plain tomatoes but she gave me about 10 different types of tomatoes and we were trying them all. I had my tomatoes and the ones she planted and the pineapple and the pineapple was amazing. I saved the seeds, which there were hardly any, and I'm hoping to get some this year.
No problem here. I have them protected from rain, right in the sun and away from weeds. ( Dude you have a mess in your garden 😆) So i didnt had problems with bugs. Each plant gives a bunches as i planted in bunch of compost ground and give every 4 weeks fertilizer, Dont know what to do with so much now😁 and I have 6 plants
Did you do any sweet 100's this year, did not see you pick any.
How are you storing all these tomatoes , so that it will last, but still have maximum taste.
I used aspirin and picked off the leaves that were bad and mine came back strong as ever.
cut off all of the bad leaves and put a piece of shade cloth over the exposed tomatos to prevent sun scald
probably roots get drunk :) next time don't use fertilizers just use 1kg or 2 pounds of worm casting under the roots when you plant for each tomato
the rain could have washed away the nitrogen in the soil, thus the leaves turned yellow.
Save up and buy a cheap small piece of land. There are 100s of thousands of small lots less than $6,000
