Oh my God, he can't hear me! His cause has determined my effect! Time flows in a strictly linear progression! Mason!!
I have given this the 88th upvote, one for each mile per hour the DeLorean needed to initiate time travel! Ben can now go back in time and fix that mess! (ok maybe not really)
Fun fact: The intelli-crops that Tony mentions in the first film are actually very useful to the entire franchise, as hunger issues are never an issue. Farming is compacted spectacularly, and then those compact farms are then spread wherever they need to be, and used as food is required, all making use of green energy and matching supply and demand. Additionally, before Tony chose to paint his suit the famous "hot rod red" and yellow, he initially chose green, and then blue, as he was inspired by one of his most financially stable and positive enterprises. He always looked forward to watching the crops being collected, and this "Blue Harvest" in his mind was a powerful image before deciding on the final colours he did when he saw different inspiration. Coincidentally, Blue Harvest is also the original working title of Star Wars, which was later obtained by Disney in much the same way Marvel was.
Ike Perlmutter just being so dastardly that suspenseful music plays when anyone views an image of him is the best ongoing gag and I wish they keep bringing him up in the future to just do the joke again😂
1997's Batman & Robin, with their over the top garish colors, ruined superhero movies in Hollywood for the next decade plus, IE why X-Men (etc) all had to wear black leather costumes, and all of their colorful powers were muted to make them more "gritty and realistic" (/boring). No, it wasn't bad enough that Batman & Robin was a horrible movie: it retroactively made other genre movies worse.
Dunno how legit, but I heard they couldn't wrap their heads around making Wolverines yellow and blue costume look "cool" at the time and just went with leather with a little gold/yellow piping.
Not embracing the colours of the comics I think was fine initially for the first few x men movies when comic book movies were still a big risk. The issue is more they never learned to catch up with movies like DOFP and Apocalypse still giving the x-men team mostly indistinguishable costumes well after the MCU had come out and proven colourful costumes could work on the big screen, the only difference being they transitioned from boring black leather costumes to boring black paintball suit costumes
@@rorylynch7775 Agree. The first X-Men movies were pretty good overall. Colorful costumes probably wouldn’t have worked well with the tone of that movie. But Iron Man was a nice change of pace.
Fun fact: Iron man famously was turned into a literal iron man in a 90s comic run. He was captured by a evil wizard, who forcibly inserted a iron bar into his leg to perform the spell: giving Tony the Nickname “Rod Knee”. Fun fact that event was also the origin of Blue harvest, the working title of Star Wars. The original Star Wars!
I remember that run! The iron in his leg reacted with his skin and turned him blue, and to cure himself he needed to find a rare herb deep in the rain forest. Hence the comic's name "Blue Harvest" Which, coincidentally, was also the working title of Star Wars original Star Wars
I'd have personally invested in the production side of these Marvel Movies if they were willing to have Sam Rockwell portray Hammer as his "Billy"rendition from Green Mile...
Downey never said that he hated the suit or wouldn't put it on again, just that he couldn't wear it and effectively act. When he was fastened into the suit he was in for many hours, no quick getting out for a bathroom run. He actually made it a point in interviews not to complain about the suit but to say how much he loved it and appreciated the opportunity.
That last point is really funny when you consider how Rachel Zegler complained about having to "wear a dress" on set for hours on end while playing the role of a Disney f--king princess of all things. Sounds like that's exactly what RDJ did not want to do. He understood that making public complaints over wearing an uncomfortable costume for a little while in exchange for the kind of fame and fortune the actual public can't even imagine could easily have ended him (again). 7:21 "The Marvel Method" was the reason that legendary writers like Alan Moore wouldn't work with them. He famously writes full scripts for his comics, whereas "The Method" removes the communication between writer, penciller and Inker, turning the whole process into a production line.
23:50 It looks like Tony made a looped particle accelerator to make that particle beam he shoots into the new arc reactor. Not a laser, but a beam of particles accelerated an insane ammount, accelerators can achieve near light speed for particle speed. This can cause fusion reactions when those accelerated particles collide with other particles.

I love it when Ben gets the last word in via the edit. Especially when he calls James and Mason on their errors.
Never noticed that Jeff Bridges burns his finger on the cigar when he gets off the segway 16:38
Iron Man 2 is hilarious, and I love Mickey Rourke
At 17:58 in Transformers The Last Knight, when Vivian Wimbley asked Cade Yeager what did he invent and Cade Yeager replied "things that you've heard of". Was that a reference to Intelli-Cromps?
30:19 I love that this exact method is used in Glass Onion for the character making fun of Elon Musk
Terence Howard is now trying to convince us he is Tony Stark with his 1+1=2
The fact that you guys brought up "robot jox" tells me that we just officially became brothers.... Now send your new American brother some a that nasty vegemite🤣🤣
The best MCU music was in that first Iron Man as like his triumph theme. Never heard it again.
7:21 "The Marvel Method" was the reason that legendary writers like Alan Moore wouldn't work with them.
He famously writes full scripts for his comics, whereas "The Method" removes the communication between writer, penciller and Inker, turning the whole process into a production line.
Stark was publicly knowing to be Iron Man in the comics back in the early 90s
Happy australia day fellow madlads
"Kate Mara gave the best performance in any Fantastic Four movie." How dare you insult Michael Chiklis like that. Dude was the perfect Thing.
19:20 why does it look like he’s peeling his normal skin to reveal the vision skin😂😂 is it just me?
Maybe the real blue sky beams were the friends we made along the way
I like that Whiplash going nuts over making Tony bleed is revisited in Infinity War when they make Thanos bleed
Glad you guys keep making/posting these despite each one not quite making $1 billion.
29:02 That's amazing.
Fun Fact: Ben is the 🐐
You guys really edited this whole video. Respect
I dont think James does the editing for these videos anymore, and Mason never has.
@@SuperCrazyfin true I think Ben is the dude that edits them
Downy Jr. Was Definitely The Best Choice.. Perfection Personified...
thanks ben!
