I had Something/Anything on vinyl, 8 track, cassette, CD, computer & now iPod...still kicking ass, just like Todd. He remains underrated by all (except us true believers) after all these years. Keep hammering, Runt!
Shows Kasim's incredible professionalism, class, grace, and poise, Todd's great smile, and reminds me how much I love these 2 guys together, chemistry!
What a fabulous pop song. Complex yet simple guitar parts. That's why Todd is considered among the more brilliant songwriters. Also, Kasim should use this video clip for an example of how sturdy his signature bass is. It takes the full brunt of his fall. You don't see that everyday!
I saw this power trio later on this tour and Kasim had a cast on his leg, I had heard he broke his ankle earlier in the tour, looks like this was where he broke it. Ouch, what a trooper!
Yes... Todd has done that many times. And much like Kasim did, all you can do is recover as quickly as possible and go on with the show. In my estimation, Utopia is the most under-rated band in the world. 4 people on stage sounds like 10 with their vocals. Wonderful video that shows real life on the stage. Bravo!! (PS- You try pulling off "Couldn't I Just Tell You" in a three piece application....). Good luck!!
One of my most fave Todd songs of all time - and gotta love Kaz. Check out the brilliant "lego espresso" video - near the end he includes kaz's unfortunate moment!
Always a pro, and gee people seriously how disrespectful, you get on stage night after night and sing, then let's here your voice. And thank goodness for being able to go cordless, those damn cords will trip you up on stage. Glad he wasn't hurt especially since he caught himself could have broke an arm or worse. Great job!!!
This is so sad to see--especially the end replay where we clearly see the break. The mighty Kasim was WELL at the start of this song and his body was DAMAGED by the end--that's so sad. And I wondered how he stood on it as well--but he couldn't possibly stop during this fantastic song!...
One of my absolute favorite songs by one of my absolute favorite artists! Yeah, it's a big rough here as a three piece, and there's a peek at human fallibility (or maybe that's fall-ability) when Kasim slips and falls. Thank goodness he was okay.
What a great moment, as a die hard Todd fan that was something to see. By the way was it just me (or my computer), or was Kasim's bass OUT during the last half of the tune? Although not in Todd's league, Kasim is another BIG talent with scant recognition. He could have picked his gig amoung several class A artists back in the 70's. Nice guy to boot!
OMG! That was hard to watch! When I witnessed it happening at the show I had no idea that Kasim broke his leg/ankle. He continued on with the show, somehow the word "trooper" doesn't seem to be sufficient to describe Kasim at that moment. We Love You Kasim and Todd!
Lets see he's singing a song of a guy thats tormented and your looking for a pretty voice. You don't get it.Its called art and the real art is coming from a place of honesty, are you starting to see the light? His voice sounds as good as ever listen to love is the answer.

Kasim, you pulled that off like the champion you are! Excellent!
Agreed!!!
A pro move from a superb musician!!!! Barely 1/8 a beat slow after his ass hit the stage, but was back on the downbeat like lightning!
Falls over, keeps playing, keeps singing, laughs it off. Mr Sultan can play in my band any time.
Shows Kasim's incredible professionalism, class, grace, and poise, Todd's great smile, and reminds me how much I love these 2 guys together, chemistry!
Simply...it's a great rock and roll song....as good as the rest of them...or better
Sublime. Learned it when I was a boy. Staring at that open gatefold cover gazing at the genius.
wow, how great to hear this song after so many years. love it! so romantic and it rocks.

this is one of my favorite songs from something/anything and not a bad live version!
Kasim is such a great guy. Thanks for the improved version!
For a 3 piece version - it was not bad. At least they are having fun and laughing it off. Music shouldn't be too serious. Great job!!
Love my Todd Man, I wish those days would return
Maybe we will all come back in afterlife as a super cool army of todd friends & lovers. hey it could happen! ;)
Laugh it off and get back up and play - thats a real Todd show for you - these guys just keep going!!!
60 yr old bass player getrs workers comp hip replacement- high kicking on finale~- Thanks for the post- Love TR and all his music!
Kasim Sulton, the bass player in this video, was 44 yrs old at the time of this performance. :^}
I saw this power trio later on this tour and Kasim had a cast on his leg, I had heard he broke his ankle earlier in the tour, looks like this was where he broke it. Ouch, what a trooper!
a testament to Kasim's professionalism, humility, and resolve!
We love you in Dayton, Ohio, Kasim, and can't wait to see you at Canal Street Tavern again soon!!

That was great! Real live rock! Good on ya Kasim!
Hilarious mis-hap & wonderfully Todd..so gracious & sweet. (& awesome song of course)

The song is a rock 'n roll gem!
This kicks ass
Love it!!!!!!

VERY NICE-THANKS for sharing!

Todd is Godd!!!!!!

Love my Todd
Todd is Godd!
Poor Kasim !
He's always t his best in performing
Great track, until the ending screwed up so badly. Please edit that out!
Ouch ! I lost a whole H.S. football season with a similar el foldo of my ankle ! There's a lot of bones in there ! Mine never did heel up right.

Looks like his left foot really got bent sideways - ouch!!!!!
lol Kasim
That was fucking HILARIOUS
Funny enough - they're still doing the same move on the current tour!!
you also have to check out the "lego espresso" video - very well done and at the end is a cameo of lego kasim wiping out - lmao!
what about 8 track or reel to reel?
Did Kasim get hurt when he fell. I've read that he broke his ankle. Is that true?
That move wouldn't have looked much better if they had pulled it off...
Nobody missed a beat.

please tell me
wow what happened to his voice? he was one of the best singers once, damn!
Looks like they're really getting their asses kicked by this song. It's a little too big for this them, I think. Or needs more rehearsal.
Why cant i vote this comment up ?? dammit
Good thing that Kasim was in better shape than Todd's raggedy voice... otherwise that fall might have really hurt!
