As a born again Christian who has been transformed by Jesus Christ, I have the sure hope and trustworthy promise of heaven, having the gift of eternal life. I will have a glorified body in heaven. Will God give me the body and youth I had as a 14 year old? Handsome as all get out with the totally outta-sight mod clothes I wore and dug so much in the 1960s? So many outrageously talented musicians, so many bands, so many great times and tunes! With the V.Nam war raging in the distance, we were all scared to death that we would be drafted and sent away, but the creative spirit of the time was such a rare opportunity to see a side of life that was filled with beauty, drugs, love and wonderful feelings, I am eternally grateful to have been on Earth during it all. Now I'm nearly 80 years old and these tunes ring with such spirit and wonder. I wish all the kids today could go back in time and get some of that life spirit~!

The only thing I hate is I was older before I appreciated Steve Winwood, the 70's was so full of great music I missed him, but loving it now in my 60's.
Hey....saw Ginger Baker with Buddy Miles,Canned Heat and 10 Years After, Outside festival in Leichester Ny,I think 9/72,✌💜 man.. I was rt up front wt a great memory ,still rockin,64 years young
I believe this band was set up by some business men who thought that they might be able to create some huge talent, possibly selling millions of albums, making them a lot of money, but they did not take into account the musical differences between them. Kind of forced them to be a band and create something.. which they did nonetheless..
Clapton playing a Telecaster. He should have done it more often. This crystal clear tone during the verses is superb. And the more crunchy tone during the solo is great, too.
@@sugarkitty4777 It 's a Stratocaster neck. Clapton revealed that fact in an interview. He had bought half a dozen strats from Manny's in NY, which he then used to mix and match. It's where 'Blackie' came from, and, I have been told, 'Brownie'. I was at that gig, and all the guitar players were curious, so it was revealed in an interview sometime later.
The added magic of this… is to think Winwood had just turned 21 here - and before this, had already been with Spencer Davis for several years, released a couple of albums with Traffic, and played with Hendrix - laying down the organ on Voodoo Chile in 1968. It still boggles the mind.
I was at this Concert in Hyde park, 1969, somewhere in this crowd, very stoned handing out Spliffs and smoking them as they passed back and forth, and looking at the crowd I wonder how were were oh so young once upon a time, I was 21 and living not far from this stage, just off Kensington Church Street in South Ken.... Those were the days my friends, we thought they would never end. Some time after The Stones did a free Concert in the same place, the week Brian died.

The best of rock and roll. Brilliant talents without the aid of samples and auto tune. This is the birth of raw, honest, musical skill. Like the cool jazz period of Miles and Trane, this is a rock and roll treasure. Sadly, pure musical talent is no longer celebrated.
Beautiful, actually a live recording of one of the very few concerts that Blind Faith ever played. The possibilities of that band was nearly endless. I've heard a million reasons why they broke up so fast but it's doesn't matter. They were fantastic but they leave me with a sense of what might of been.

Ahh, the late 60’s. Eric Clapton solos during a live performance and instead, the camera guy chooses to focus on the sponge the bass player has on his lower bridge and Ginger Baker’s choice of footwear.
