I just got one! It feels and plays like an extension of the mind. The necks on these guitars, for me, are perfection. I also have a sunburst Charvel Pro Mod, which I adore. For the price, they are incredible guitars - way better than any Strats I’ve had (and yes, I know they’re made by Fender). The HSS on this one was a big draw for me, as my other one is a HH configuration (which is great, too). As for the red ash finish - it is beautiful. Great vid. Thanks.

Great videos on this guitar and others. Any issues with balancing volume between the HB and single coils?
Hi Tim, it’s a full shred, which is like a hotter , slightly scooped PaF, so-not super hot, and the ssl6’s are quite porky modern single coils so the balance is pretty good.

Hi dude! This one sounded killer, layer great. The style 2 with the fish mans sounds a little more modern? Bother great guitars, but this edges it for me. I really like the 22 fret San Dimas HH as well.
Hey, what does "caramelized neck" mean. Does it effect playability, or is it simply astetic
Hi there, The idea of caramlized or baked neck is to emulate what happens to maple after may years of drying. Old guitars tend to not have much moisture in them, which makes them generally more resonant and a little more stable The other thing is that they smell delicious!!! So not just an aesthetic thing, they actuallly make the guitar more resonant..
more than one year since then, how is this Charvel holding up to you? :) also, may I know how the Gotoh trem's performance is to songs like Van Halen (like Eruption, or Panama)? Nothing Pantera or Steve Vai divebombing, just enough usage hopefully not going out of tune. Thanks for any input!
Hi GianCarlo, it’s nice.y played in. The paint has worn quite a lot , as the grain is raised, but I love the way it looks. It’s pretty stable tuning wise. But a guitar like this with a two point trem will never hold pitch like a Floyd, that’s why Eddie got it made in the first place. All round great sound and playing guitar. Thanks for watching mate.
Hey great review, does your model have the no load tone control and EVH low friction pot ?. I have the same model as you and the pots just seem like normal basic, the no load tone doesn't click, and the volume has normal friction.
I'd appreciate if you could advise on what your pots are like ? , Because I'm thinking I may have gotten a bad egg made with wrong parts.
It does have it yes. The noload is very subtle, not really a click, it just sits a little tighter at 10 if that makes sense. And the low friction volume works great.
I have just found out that the spec has now changed to non no load!
@@damonthegnomeoftonechivers how did you find that out ?, I returned mine because I thought possibly it was built using the wrong specs, as the volume was rough and frictional. 🤢
