Which collection would you like to see next?
Bc rich

Jackson's ?
Gibson
B.C. Rich. I have 3. A Warlock NJ, A Rich Bitch double neck & my only 7 string a purple Flying V. Love watching your video's. I have to start making these. I own over 30 guitars, 17 amps , 6 -4/12 cabs & around 30 stomp boxes.
Once again, enjoyed viewing your Collection of this time: Charvel Guitars! Thank You! for taking time to show them!!
Love these videos. You have an amazing collection. Thanks for sharing🎸
I remember seeing jackson and charvel in the multitude of guitar stores back in the 80s. Now that fender has them, i'm really liking the quality of the 2018+ charvels! They are my favorite super strats!
Great stuff! Love these type of videos. Really enjoyed it.
Nice video! I liked the models 5 and 6 because they look ergonomic being a set neck, as well the latest one. They look very comfortable. Great collection, they are great instruments! Thanks for posting this video!
Nice collection Louis. Thanks for sharing it .
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha !!!
want it back yet robert ? LOL :P
Great video tk, absolutely love the collection videos! Was feet sad when you stopped doing them a while ago
Great video and collection! Love this series of yours.
Great guitars! Really enjoyed this video. Thank you always Tone King!!
This was really great. I am looking forward to seeing the B.C. Rich guitars.
Absolutely FANTASTIC collection !!! Keep showing off your axes !!!
Amazing collection TK! I really like the 80's charvels. I grew up watching my uncle play a charvel model 2. It's a great guitar.
You have some beautiful guitars thank you for sharing them with us😎👍
Nice walk through of some good examples, thanks. ✌️
I've gone through many charvels & loved most of em. For the last 20 yrs my main axe is a pre-prod 1980 koa charvel. 🤘🏼
Doooood!!! I love Charvels 😃🤘🎸!!! Great collection bro!
I got one of the Fender made Charvel's last year and I love it. I have been a Jackson guy for 20 years and I think Fender has done a great job with the build quality.
Wonderful, thanks for sharing. You know you have a serious collection when you have to split the videos into brands!
I dont, nor have I ever owned a Charvel. Still, I definitely have a soft spot for them. Maybe my favorite "shred era" guitar.
Great vid TK!! Love your collection!!
Thanks TK, awesome collection.
Great video and collection! I was in a Charvel ad campaign back in the day "We don't pay 'em, they just play 'em" lol. Had a model 3 for that, then a model 88. Just saw they were releasing a model 1888!! Picked up a slime green Charvel from a few years back and it's my main backup I take all over the world these days.
I have a red Charvel 1A in great condition as yours, too! I have one more Japanese Charvel HSS w/sharkfin inlays from the 90's with the licensed FR stamped with Charvel. Needs a little TLC but still nice. Thank you for sharing your collection! 🤘
Awesome Video Love the Charvel's
I have the MIM So Cal just like yours, I almost bought a Model 6 in 87 but my parents threw in an extra $800 so I got a USA Jackson DK. Yup... when we talk about pricing today, a USA DK was about $1700 back then (it had a special crackle finish and was signed by Grover). Like the older ones you showed it had the same Jackson FR and the nasty behind the nut locking system... which never worked that well for me, I eventually replaced it with an actual locking nut. GREAT Collection!
@The Tone King thank you so much for sharing!
Love the BC Model 6. Always have, absolutely beautiful.
Hah, had that exact Model 5, such a great color. Nice collection, Love the 1A w/mods! I wants one.
My man!! Thanks for the vid! Love Charvel guitars!! I have a Japanese San Dimas that is perfect!!
My first guitar was a blue Charvel with double locking Floyd, bought it in either 89 or 90. Loved that thing, wish I still had it. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! Love Charvels!
Nice collection. I've got a model 4 in black cherry finish. It was my #1 guitar for years.
You need *more* Charvel guitars 😳😄
Lol
The Tone King you need one in each colour! 😁👍
Hey Tone King, did you get these new back in day or did you get them over the years hunting classified/ebay/reverb?
I got the exact same Japanese So-Cal that you bought from Robert. He used it in all his early videos and i got inspired and i acquired it. Soo smooth that guitar!..:)
Quality collection my friend
These collection videos are fantastic TK
Thank you!
Nice! I'll probably get a new Charvel soon, the San Dimas blue frost matte.
Awesome collection
Funny that you did this, I was about to ask you to do a series of vids showing all the guitars you own, cool.. keep them coming , at the end of the series, put the most expensive guitar you own next to the cheapest one, just for kicks :)
Awesome vid tk!
Love this! My Jake Blue Burst is on its way!
Thanks for your communication on music stuff
I love Charvel. I had two Model 4's at one point. Loved them. Playex them through a 200 watt Marshall Major. Had two of those. One as a back up. Killer guitars. I have a Charvette now but it needs work.
Hello TTK,your house seem like that old SRV " cold shot" video ...guitars everywhere!!!!my compliments for your collection
They're all gorgeous
Great selection of Charvels. I have three, all of which are awesome.
One (2008) So Cal, One (2011) San Dimas, and a 1990s CX291, (with Fender shaped headstock), Japan made and also brilliant.
They are all great guitars, play very well, well made, but for me the best part is the necks, everyone I own is fantastic to play.
Great collection
love that Jake!!! wooo!!!
Oh man those oldies. The other guitar in our band has a pair of 86's. A model 2 and a model 3a. He's had that 3a for pretty close to 20 years now and it's still his main go to shredder. I can say I was super happy to find him the 2 recently. I love playing them though, so good.
Nice collection TK
the late 80s, early 90s MIJ ones are my favourites. i own 3 CX series and a ST deluxe. all with fender style headstocks.
Tone King im surprised you have never gotten a Charvel CX290 model around. They are shockingly underrated! Japan made in the early 90's I believe.
Love my MIJ Charvel. The electronics required a gutting, but the wood was solid and had incredible sustain.
7:04 similar looking but couldn’t be further apart lol 😂 those Jake e Lee axes 😍😍😍😍
I also have some Charvel.
I think that it is easy to play and very good guitar!
Love it!
I have 3 of the 80's era instruments:
2nd series Model 3 in Red. Bought at the insistence of my band's manager in '91. The band folded about a month later :-)
Model 5A. in Burgundy Mist Bought NOS in Bangkok in 2001
Neither of these had the bar or case with them. Fortunately the Ibanez "sure grip" arms sort of fit.
Model 3B same colour as the 5A, which is why I bought it. NOS in Kuala Lumpur in 2003. I had to have the set when I had the chance.
Journeyman in natural, from the Japanese models that were brought out shortly before Fender bought the brand.
Custom Shop San Dimas in black with the vintage brass whammy bridge.
Great guitars all of them
Nice mate! I've had a couple of Charvels and Jacksons (still got one I want to sell) and the 'pointy' ones are my least favourite, I like the ones with the Fender headstock. HOut of interest, how many guitars do you own? Greetings from the UK.
I had the model 6 in metallic blue but with the jackson floyd rose bridge. Probably the best neck I've ever played. Everybody that tried that guitar loved it
sick collection
Just got my first charvel a month ago wild card 6 dreamsicle great guitar
I had the Model 3 white pearl metal flake ($600) MIJ, rosewood fretboard, shark tooth dot inlays, top mounted licensed Floyd rose, it also had the best satin finished neck, one of the best guitars I ever played.
I own the exact same 1a combo as you. Black on white pickgaurd with hot rails. It was my first real electric guitar back in 94. . And when u showed the pic of Kirk I laughed because it’s always reminded me of his . 🤘🤣🤘
Upgrading it to active emgs once I get the delivery. . Awesome collection sir 👏
C was for Charvel the Jacksons of the time started with a J. Dyna Gaki made them. The Japan so cal is second year and called Mod pro.
I have been playing many years and played professionally until I got married 30 years ago . I have many guitars, like a PRS Cu24, EBMM Axis, Custom Shop LP, vintage Kramer Stagemaster, Vintage Ibanez Alan Holdsworth, Ibanez MB I, along with many other assorted Gibsons, Fenders, Ibanez etc. that I barely play...but I just bought my first Charvel this week.
It is a MIM San Dimas in Trans Green Burst Quilt and has already become my favorite guitar. It is also one my least expensive. How I missed out on Charvels over th1e years is beyond me. But better late than never.
Interesting and informative video, thanks.
Nice! I have 5 86' and 87' model 2's.
That was interesting. Thank you.
thanks for showing us all your Charvel guitars. Sure wish they still made them in Japan.
saw this an your more recent video on Fender owned Charvels. Looking at a used DK24. As a Charvel purist what do you think? Looking for modern type strat with modern features as I am replacing an early 80s Ibanez that was very 80s looking.
Hi Tone King I have a Charvel, think it s made in Japan,, has the name plate on back, made in Fort worth, Texas, but have not seen another with headstock reverse with tuning keys on right hand side of headstock, any idea when these were released
I have had a Model 1, a Model 7 and many others. My 475 Deluxe with crackle finish I bought new in 1990 is easily my best guitar. Even over my custom built Carvins and others.
picked up a model 4 1986 Charvel, nice guitar. My vote is for BC or Dean next.
I had two MIJ Model 5's (red and white) back in the late 80s. They had Kahler trems and the locking nut behind the regular nut. I recall them being really nice guitars so long as you did not use the tremolo. I now have a 2015 MIM SoCal Style 1 (Strat) and a 2017 MIM San Dimas Style 2 (Tele) both with OEM Floyds. If the MIJ guitars had been this good I would never have sold them.
Very Cool I really like that Jake E Lee the best. I have a Japanese Made 1988 Charvel/Jackson Soloist Firecrackle design. bought it in 1988 and still have it to this day. I've since changed the pickups and the tremolo to EMG's and a Floyd Rose Copy but I'll probably get a Real Floyd soon. Nice video thanks for sharing.
Love my 1A. It's all stock though and the red one
I remember you can buy the Charvel model 1A from Musiciansfriend in early 1990s too.
Nice! You must be a fellow child of the 80's! I have a pretty traditional collection( Gibsons, Fenders, Gretsch, Ric, PRS) added 08 Charvel Wildcard No. 2( USA) and a 93 Jackson Custom Shop DK1! Seller bought from Jake E Lee's EBay store! Jake,George Lynch and Warren DiMartini my 80's metal trinity!Pretty cool!Only took 30+ years lol! Patience rewarded! Cheers!!
Can someone tell me who or what instrumental was used to the background music of this video? Awesome guitars btw bro!
Wish I would of held on to some of my Charvels. I did not like the placement of the volume knobs, but they sounded and played great. I switched to Kramer's, and they were great guitars too.
What do you think of the roughly 300 of the 1988 Model 5A's that became Model 5FX? I have one that got the slanted neck pickup, the 3 way toggle, and a tone knob. It's very near mint. I got it as a HS Graduation gift in 1990, so I've had it 30 years
I had the 1C! Miss that guitar!
I have a Charvel model 4 bought it for 60 bucks about 10 years ago one of my favorite guitars it did have a painted headstock due to some cigarette Burns
I will go on record with this...... I absolutely love model 5's AND model 6's.......the prototypes for the Jackson Soloist series. I am attempting to ressurect an 86 model
5 Black Cherry ( Kahler trem ) with a fairly badly cracked headstock......
someone trying to be Warren DiMartini in the ' Round and Round' video
Resurrected a '96 Jackson (USA) DR2. I think I did a knockout job on it. Good luck with your project.
my bro has a white Charvel model 6 with a jt6 Floyd rose trem all original from 1985 and still plays it 32 years later! Lot of miles on it
Very nice!
The jake e lee is sick love that guitar
Great vid ! I have a minty 89 model 6 japan , in firecrackle.... bought it new as a teen and have babied it since day 1... all original, shark fins, boost circuit, jt trem and all. neck through body and plays like a dream... that guitar has made me really picky when shopping at the local music store, they play like butter... i'm spoiled...lol
Did u ever find out what the C stands for in your serial for model 6?? Mine has the same. Found one at a antique store with a hard shell charvel case for 95$. Needs some electrical work. Gonna redo it and clean off the rust. Should be a great player.
I only have a 89-90 Dinky left out of the 3 different Charvel’s I owned in the 80’s. Love the neck, have been wanting t put it on a Warmouth soloist style body...
Hey Tone King. Have you tried the new USA select models?
Can you explain some of the body names? I wanted to buy the Adrian Smith Jackson signature guitar until I realized it was labeled San Dimas, "DINKY". I hate dinky bodies !!! Are San Dimas guitars usually the same size as a strat body unless labeled dinky? How does that work? I want a full sized strat body.
awesome!
The 1986-1988 Charvels are high quality instruments. USA parts assembled in Japan. I have the Model 4 (Model IV, if you please), and its build quality is up there with custom shop guitars today.
I just picked up a late eighties charvel that frigin plays great.i had some when I was a kid..this one I have is all original but I can't seem to find one exactly like it..it has specs from a few different models but still have not found one identical to this..
Thanks awesomeness!
Apparently I have a black model 1c... and I would be the second owner. I have it since long ago. I love this guitar. I've put jumbo frets on it.
That Japanese Charvel ( Japan) looks great, the Japanese guitars just go a step above and beyond what many USA guitar makers do. My Gretsch Billy Bo is made in Gretsch Japan and it is just superb. Have you bought anything from Chicago Music Exchange or Reverb yet. I think Chicago owns Reverb also.
I prefer the prefer Pre Fender Charvel's. I do own Both. My model 5 is my favorite and was my main guitar for many years when I was in a band. It is my only guitar that was locked in Police evidence for 3 months while I was dealing with a disturbing the peace charge for our band playing after the noise abatement curfew in Isla Vista Ca. Your guitars are really nice.
