Gawd forbid they have the option to resize with the mouse...grrrr.....
I swear, some of these program creators go WAY out the way to make things difficult.
the easist to crop is to hold ALT Key then resize the window to crop it.

Been having issues with the color being really washed out (can’t see the clouds in the sky, desert scene looks white and washed out using Display capture. When I switched to Window capture, BOOM color was ALOT more accurate! Then I saw your video after but great content for beginners man

That would depend much more on what resolution and bitrate you set in the settings and how intensive your game is. I think you can safely use game capture with no drawbacks. Gotta make sure your computer meets the specs to play the game and then some for the video encoding.

How do you capture a window from within an app? For example, I want to capture the Program Monitor in Premiere Pro but not the Projects/Effects window.

How do I enable OBS to record different games? For instance, i primarily record Arma 3, but also want to record Elite: Dangerous. Do I have to manually reselect the executable for Game Capture, or is there some way to set up OBS to record whichever Im playing automatically?

hi good video, i need help, in obs im trying to capture two window, the display of side by side has no issue, but the thing is the feedback of my mic when i talk, it will feedback in the stream. been stuck with this, and this is because of the two window capture.
Which one is the better to use if streaming/record from single PC
When using either of these formats, if I went live on UA-cam does the sound automatically go with it and it just uses whatever is present on your laptop/desktop?

I might just be stupid, but when I try to record discord for a video I am trying to make for youtube, it does not show up as a option on window capture any tips would be great. Also my display capture does not work.

I plan to stream for a long period, sometimes changing from Premiere Pro to a game. Is it possible for me to change from display capture (for premiere pro) to game capture (for games)? I'm asking as these 2 captures have very different graphic processors so it possible to switch graphic processors during stream?

I have a question, when I am recording on OBS and I am using a Game Capture for R6. When I click the windows key on my keyboard it freezes my obs recording then it resumes when I click on the game again. Can someone tell me how to get rid of that?

Your videos are really informative so thought you would help me for one issue which I am facing while recording on OBS.
Issue is - In Source, I have added a) PPT Presentation, b) Chrome Browser and c) File Explorer. While starting recording, it captures only first source in the source list from three but it DOESN'T capture ALL 3 windows when I toggle them between recording. Can you please help - how to record all 3 sources (a+b+c) in full screen size.

If u look at the bottom of the source window there is an up and down arrow. Those buttons control the "layering" of ur sources. Like how u get a camera in the bottom right or left on top of a game. Sources need to be layered properly. It sounds like making scenes, the box to the left of the source box would be better for you. You make a new "scene", setting up your chrome source for instance. Then make a new scene with your next source and so on. Then you simply click a scene while recording to automatically switch to that source.

I had a black screen when trying to record a web browser too (in window capture). Searching online helped me fix it. Turn off hardware acceleration in your web browser settings.

If you're having issues displaying any browsers, go into your browser settings and turn off Hardware Acceleration (Works with most browsers)

Which is the best among three for game recording.
they're basically the same quality, but screen capture can reduce your performance on games. So if you want higher fps try game capture.

Does game capture also record the gaming audio?
No that is an audio source. Right click and make sure to unhide all of your audio sources. Then select and adjust the one you use to listen to the game itself. Ie, your headphone source if u use headphones or even desktop audio if needed. Then hide the rest of them.
Some games need a bit of play or movement to be picked up in game capture and then you've got it.
display capture don't always works for game cause in full screen mode, games sometimes automatically changes yourscreen resolution, which has for consequences to mess up with your obs configuration.

i’m sure you already figured it out by now but right click on obs > hover over run graphics processor > click on integrated graphics (default)
I'm just done I'm so tired of trying my stuff is zoomed in when I stream and in obs its zoomed in where when I go to settings I cant even click on anything cause I only see half of the screen cause of the zoom.
I think I found a solution I had a problem were the game was zoomed in so after a while of searching up videos I tried deleting the current game capture and added a new one and it worked just don't edit the new one and it might work

Play with your audio settings and select whatever source you actually hear the game from. Headphones? Select your headphones.
