  • Welcome to GY6 Scooter Adventures. I purchased a 2023 Eagle 200 (168cc) GY6 Chinese Scooter and decided to record my many short trips on video, as well as some scooter talk. Anyone new to GY6 Scooters or those who enjoy riding them and/or work on them feel free to subscribe. I am sure I will have questions and answers as I go. Join me in my adventures as I see just how long I can keep this Scooter running. Can't beat the gas mileage, and it is such a blast to ride! I ride and record videos from May through September, when the riding is good in my area.

Do you need motorcycle license for that?

I bought the fiji200 XPro which in my opinion it is the same as yours they just change the names, but I have a question, does yours feels like it stops almost immediately if you let the throttle go?, can you please give me any tips or ideas on what can I upgrade or modify on my scooter to make it run better? I feel like even at full throttle it doesn't go pass 55, I bought it less than 2 moths ago and it barely has less than 300 kilometers since I assume the numbers are km and not miles, please help, thank you so much, and congratulations on your channel, greetings from Laredo Texas, God bless you.

Hi and thanks for watching. If I am going 50 and I let go of the throttle all the way , yeah it loses speed pretty fast. You might want to turn your wheels and make sure they are not rubbing on anything. Other than changing spark plug to an NGK plug and making sure there are no air or fuel leaks, I have not really done anything to modify my scooter. I am staying away from trying to put high performance parts on mine. I get up to around 55 but could probably go a bit faster after I do a valve adjustment, but I am waiting till I get around 1,000 miles or km before I do that, since the RPM's seem to be where they should be. Hope this helped, if not a lot of good scooter channels on here explaining stuff.

So how much does the rear brake lever move when you squeeze it? It shouldn't be very tight. Put the bike on it's center stand and spin the back wheel. There shouldn't be a lot of resistance. If it stops immediately you might need to loosen your rear brake cable. You want it where you can squeeze the lever about 3/4 of the way back and not have the lever touch the handlebar. If the lever is tight it might be engaging the rear brake all the time. Another thing to check is your tire pressure. 55 is basically what these bikes will go stock. They come with heavy roller weights to keep your rpm's down.

Hello, I have a SYM FIDDLE 4 200i and yes it slows down when you let off the throttle. I figured due to engine compression and the friction and gearing changes of the belt is the reason.
