@4:50 he specifically says, “should you cancel Fanatec orders”. He said he has an order and hasn’t canceled. @5:02 he says “hypothetically” if everyone cancels orders it would have banks seeing Fanatec as not complying. Everyone needs to chill and pay attention to what he’s saying. It’s not a scare video, it’s an info/buyer beware video. If orders are still made it’ll be good for Fanatec. That’ll probably help keep them from going under and hopefully give them time to get their sh!t together.
Yeah right, I have no idea what he was actually advocating in this? to be fair, it's just a bad situation for the CUSTOMERS and the company. I personally would have come down harder on the company and warned any poor fools that are now prepared to layout 1k for stuff they may never see. I would not say that's a judgment call based on facts, but look around at what is happening to small companies. But hey I have never had sponsorship. 😁
No it's an alarmist video starting off with click bait. Suppose you "don't get your stuff". Well credit cards have consumer protections and debit cards have banks that get your money back from payment processors. Your money doesn't go directly into a company's hands unless you are wiring money directly to them. If you're doing that, then fine be alarmed. If you're a regular consumer, this video is flat out disingenuous and it can be pretty damaging to the entire situation
@@ihad2reload If you look at Endor’s share prices I don’t think he’s even being alarmist. It is at an all time low today of 1.7, down from an all time high of almost 25, just over 2 years ago. That’s almost 95%. Today alone is 7% down. Last week 50% down. 75% down past 3 months. 85% past year. Its total debt to equity is almost 550%. Debt to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation is also concerning: Total Debt to EBITDA 5.27. As much as the title and thumbnail come across as click bait, welcome to UA-cam audience psychology 101, investors are clearly already spooked. In light of this, I have to reluctantly but realistically agree with Kireth that reviewers and UA-camrs should be making customers aware of the risk. If anything he could have been far more alarmist.
A lot of people probably don't realise just how close to insolvency Endor AG probably is. Their QC has been sliding downward noticeably for a couple of years now, along with the well advertised other problems they've been unable to resolve. The danger is that any new customers may be left with products that could develop faults or fail and have no real recourse to obtain a repair or replacement if the company cannot stay in business long enough to honour their warranties, so it's still a definite red flag for the uninitiated consumer.
I don't like this video. Sure, it's "good" to warn consumers that there is a certain risk. But your video feels to me like it's creating panic and if lots of consumers listen to your advice, that might actually contribute to Fanatec going under. The banks are not stupid. If they just "demand their money back", Fanatec will definitely go under and the banks will only recover a small part of the money. So it's in the banks' best interest to keep the company running, and actually help steer the company to become successful again (economically). So if we all keep cool heads, both Fanatec and us consumers should be perfectly safe. Just my 2 cents, of course.
@@Kireth I did watch the whole video. You are basically saying: 1) Only people who can afford to potentially lose the money should stick to their orders. 2) Users who order now have an increased chance of never getting their product. 3) And users should be 100% concerned about warranty not being fulfilled. To me, this induces panic, and may contribute to sinking the ship.
Nah, you are missing their instagram page. People actually complain about it. It's not panicking, it's preparing people for the worst, if you order something from fanatec.
On instagram you can see people's comment, on 3-4-5 weeks and no delivery expected. People also wanted their money back and was a lot of problems. I also wanted to order something but that's too much. I might end up forgetting I did that purschase 🤣🤣
I ordered *GranTurismo-DD Extreme, *CSL pedal bundle with load cell on April 2nd, 2024. Today on April 5th, 2024 the UPS man was at my front door with 3 boxes from Fanatec. All delivery problem fears for nothing Great service from Fanatec!!
Don't have to be someone with SIM racing background, just with global sales background. In Germany I had absolutely no problems with Fanatec orders, and I made two (one time accessories and a new wheel) this year.
@@Kireth I did watch the video and posted my comment afterwards. Doesn’t change what I think about your Thumbnail. Stop sidetracking, please. If The Sun isn‘t your cup of tea, you should have made another Thumbnail.
@@Kireth I think the point is that a thumbnail like this can have the opposite effect of what you intend in the video. Because there will be MORE people who see the thumbnail and do not watch the video than actually watch the entire video, but the impression is made. You talk about responsibility of UA-camrs and I also feel that you have a responsibility in not creating sensationalist headlines that people will not get the context of, just like the tabloids do.
Feel like this video won’t help and will only cause panic, making it harder for fanatec to turn the corner! But also understand people have a right to know what’s going on when spending their money on a product! Just thought I’d touch on this, I ordered a CSL Loadcell pedal on the 29th March and I’ve just had my tracking number appear on UPS app. I know it’s not something as big as a bundle but given I ordered over the Easter weekend (Good Friday) and it’s ready for shipment after 2 days I’m more than happy! When I ordered my GT DD bundle back in August 23 it took a month to arrive..
Got my black friday almost one month ago now and I couldn't have been more happier. Pure unmatched german quality. Don't cancel your order guys, they screwed up once and they don't deserve this kind of backlash. Fanatec will survive and will overcome this crisis.
Its not German quality, its made in China mate. Lol. I hate to say it but they totally deserve the backlash. Theyve totally screwed people now for months, if not years. Not just once. Kept taking money for black friday orders even though they knew they didnt have the stock. Kept blaming everyone else and still havent got it sorted. Its now April. I dont like to see any company fail and I think they need to survive to keep competition alive. But they did this to themselves
Hopefully your gear continues to work ok. I spent over €1200 on a DD1 setup only for it to be immediately faulty out of the box and completely stop working after less than five days. This is not an isolated case, people with DD1 and DD2 bases - the flagships - have been reporting numerous issues for years now with an overall poor response from the company. The company may be German but their manufacturing is in China, just like all the other high-end brands now. The other brands all seem to be pretty much all doing the manufacturing better too, then managing to establish much more mature retail distribution networks, for the same or less money.
@@ChristopherWoods Ive heard a lot of people saying that lately about quality control issues. Not good. The other companies all seem to be taking a lead. I bet theyve all benefitted from the problems at Fanatec lately too
Once again, glad we went with the Logitech G Pro. Company still needs to be around to honour warranty. Fanatec has had a lot of bad reviews dealing with warranty in the past before all this bad news; I can only see their warranty obligations getting worse.
I said I was getting Logitech so many times but I’m quite sure I’ll be unhappy because they only have 1 wheel. No quality shifter or handbrake . Just feels like a massive waste of money.
@@bigredracingteam9642 let’s hope it’s not a load of tosh and they actually do something. Because let’s be real, it’s been out nearly 2 years and still nothing.
Depends on what you play, if you play F1 games or GT7 pr ACC, you will likely be using paddle shifters. We do not use a manual shifter or handbrake very often. if you are not big into sim racing you should not buy a G pro. If the equipment is going to sit in a closet to be used twice a month, save your money.
If Fanatec goes under. What does that mean for console users? Especially PS5 users!? For now, Logitech is the only other good alternative, and they don't have many choices on accessories. Personally, I hope Fanatec sticks around. Especially considering I just received my GT DD pro (8NM) after waiting almost 3 weeks from order to delivery. So far, so good, and I'm enjoying the product.
I ordered my DD PRO (8nm too) two weeks ago, lets see if I can get it during this week! Just curious, how many time did UPS spend to deliver once the product left Fanatec warehouse?
@O-Friendly I did some research and the gt dd+ and dd extreme have the same wheelbase. The difference is the extreme automatically comes with a special wheel
Just wanted to say, I never had an issue with orders from Fanatec. I live in the EU and i made around 4 orders since 2022. All orders were delivered quickly no issues whatsoever. What i want to say is that I always ordered stuff that showed to be in stock, I never preordered anything.
Haha true :) I really hope they pull through this. Their products are awesome and they are probably the only company that offer support for both xbox playstation and pc together on one single wheelbase product.
@@Alex-uo9dq yep, the McLaren gt3 wheel is amazing on fanatec and I have a bmw wheel… I wanna upgrade from the club sport 2.5, if I stay fanatec I’ll need a new round wheel for rallying… I have thought about simagic but there wheels £400 for the cheapest wheel and I’d need two 😬😬
I got the gt dd pro 2 years ago, and I got the clubsport dd + about a month ago. The cs dd + is an amazing wheelbase. It shakes the floor of my room when it vibrates. I was also looking at simcube before getting the cs dd +, but eventually opted to stay fanatec and I dont regret it. Also love the iracing and acc profiles via fanalab. One button and boom you have a profile for each car and working rev lights to match each car 😁
I have ordered my Racing Set on last Saturday 03.30. and it was delivered three days later on Tuesday. Erveything works perfekt. I have had absolut no problems with my order.
Kireth, you are milking this situation for clicks. All companies have financial issues especially if they are trying to grow their business. It is not in the banks interest to ever shut a company, especially a company like Fanatec that has so much potential to be a multinational business.
It would be such a shame for fanatec to close down. Yes their customer services hv been horrible but the product itself is very nice. You can tell its made by ppl who actually proud of what they are doing and very passionate . If fanatec needs to do something like kick starter to fund future project or just to get through this, i honestly will be happy to contribute.
This was a good video man. I have never read so many comments from people who don't understand banking, business, or the internet in general... My takeaway: Keep the orders coming in. Sales beat liabilities, and that's how you get the banks from the ridiculous process of calling your loan. Bravo Kireth.
I have an order from yesterday and I will not cancel it. Fanatec have some problems but companies like this will not die. If needed a big investor will step up or a competitor and it will buy the business. Because Fanatec besides active customers have value in technology and experts working there. So I'm not concerned that Fanatec will shut down. Maybe is just a turning point and a restart of the company which will be a positive thing for the customers. Buy with confidence!.
@@daifucoit’s amazing how a UA-camr has such in depth knowledge of a company’s finances….most businesses are funded on credit from banks, the bank hasn’t withdrawn their credit so I fail to see what the doom and gloom video is all about??

@@nickhill941the loan standstill agreement with their lending BANKS (plural) was under negotiation at the end of March, resulting in Jackermeier's ousting - that standstill is apparently only good until June. At that point, it seems any of their creditors (banks with outstanding mortgage liens, charges, restrictive covenants or overdue loan repayments) could then potentially call in outstanding debts. If the company is unable to repay, at that point they'd likely be subject to an immediate winding up order (or whatever the German equivalent is called). The company may only be around in its current form until June unless a significant cash injection is obtained. Looking at their 2022 shareholder financial report, they already had a marked increase in outgoings, some necessary big increases in outgoing liquidity (i.e., cash at hand) plus existing liabilities of 64.4 million euro of which 45.9 million was liabilities to banks on their credit lines, which were already nearly exhausted by the start of 2023. This is in the context of profit of 6.6 million euro for 2021-22 but about 40 million euro of liabilities to lenders falling due within 12 months of that statement, and that was from a year-old document.
So I ordered the Fanatec QR2 on the 22nd of March, and I received it yesterday the 2nd April. I had alot of update emails on the status of my order. So it looks like Fanatec are getting better.
Just ordered and received the Clubsport F1 package and CSL elite pedals v2. I’m outside the EU and ordered in evening of Mars 22nd, they said I would receive my order on April the 2nd, and I picked up my order in the morning of April the 2nd at my local post office in the small rural town I live in. I have zero complaints.
I think the stock shortage is due to not paying there bills... so accounts on hold till this gets squared... then they'll release stock to them to ship to all waiting...
I already sold my DD Extreme bundle and V3 pedals at a minor loss. Instead, I moved over to the Simagic ecosystem, with the wheelbase expected to come in tomorrow. The pedals already arrived, and they're loads better than the V3. Additionally, SimShop is an amazing place to order from if you're going after Simagic products. They're quick, responsive, and will work with you. I'm still waiting on a refund for a dead-on-arrival wheel from Fanatec, over a month after the fact. Hell, they haven't even acknowledged whether it will be an RMA, a refund, or something else. OVER A MONTH LATER. That said, I did actually like the GT DD Extreme. As a product goes, it was pretty great. With the glitchiness in the firmware, though, there was still a bit of work that needed to be done to make it entirely reliable and usable.
Very similar story here. Spent well over a grand on a DD1 setup which lasted not even two hours before developing problems until eventually completely failing. Bought Simagic Alpha and GT Neo wheel from the UK distributor, just waiting for the wheel preorders to ship in a couple of weeks. Already discussed the order with the retailer in some detail - infinitely more comms than Fanatec ever gave me.
I appreciate you saying you are still ordering/waiting o your order. I went Fanatec a couple of years ago. They have a lot of irons in the fire right now. I can see the banks saying get out of sponsoring World GT. The products are damn good and work on PS which is a big feather. Moza or the other would go under trying to fill Fanatec's spot. They did need a shake up. It happens in big business. I am waiting it out. I am worried, but I am not jumping out of the window. Banks want their money and the best way to get it is force them to scale back and concentrate on making sim gear.
I don't understand what the problem is. I made a $2000+ order last month and got almost immediate delivery. I have emailed various questions to customer service, and received answers within two days. By the way, the DD+, and McLaren wheel are fantastic. My V3 pedals have been trouble free for several years. My upgrade to QR2 has been trouble free and fantastic. I plan on several other wheel purchases, probably F1 style and a Porsche round wheel. I received my Clubsport wheel last week, and it couldn't be better. Everyone should just chill out.
boy o boy that's not want we want hear, been saving for ages for DD pro, decided to save for a bit longer for the DD extreme and that would do me for many years but like you say if it goes wrong how do I get it repaired and software upgrades, will keep saving and see what happens if not I guess I'll go Thrustmaster DD or Logitech DD,not got much more choice as I'm on console so come on Fanatec we want you to survive
So now every ps5 owner is screwed if looking for a dd wheel. Been saving to get one finally and now this amazing news. Looks like it might be time to finally upgrade to pc racing
Spend the money you saved on a PC instead then get a wheel next. Much more choice of gear. If you buy a lot of games then you will recoup some of the money through savings as games are much cheaper on PC also
For anyone worried about their orders, this year I ordered GT DD Pro (arrived following week), ordered load cell arrived in a week ot so, ordered 180 boost kit at midnight oon Monday and got depatch notice this morning (Thursday). The only thing I'm waiting on is GT3 wheel which isn't due until week due to connector I chose.
Received DD EXTREME a few days ago, won't power up, won't update and no response from fanatec. Had the previous DD and had to return as that stoped working too. Dealing with this is so stressful. I've been without a wheel for over 5 months now. The vids are great Kireth, thanks a mill
I made an order in January nd got everything within 2 weeks and I am in Canada. Here is my recommendation though. If the products you are looking for are all in stock, there shouldn't be a probleme. However, I wouldn't preorder anything that is not in stock at the moment. The problem is that the dates they show might be pushed back at any time again. If it is in stock, usually, they process it very quickly.
Clickbait video, beating and trying to send fanatec six feet under. UA-camrs like this are not trustworthy at all. Doing anything for some views and likes...
@@virtualawakening2299 What the heck video did you guys watch?? "Should you cancel your orders?" is not exactly "Fanatec is going DOWN!!!" It's a simple question, and he addressed it logically and factually. And he is not in any way hurting Fanatac. If anything, I feel he was completely on their side. Nobody in their right mind would ever pay a UA-camr, who is statistically insignificant anyway, to "default Fanatec". Who would win? The banks would LOSE horribly. OK, maybe MOZA would be interested in this outcome, but if they paid Kireth, then he got one over on them, because he did not say one negative comment about Fanatec. I'll be placing my order within two weeks.
Fear mongering. To gain likes. This is all the same news. This is BS tactics. More like click bait. This can't help with the community, sim racing or fanatec customers. 3:42
I really want Fanatec to survive and prosper. I would like a new GT style wheel with digital screen. I'm holding out for that and maybe a new DD at that time.
I ordered a full setup from Australia’s website and got it delivered to dubai in less than 2 weeks , two years later and everything works perfectly fine. Your thumbnail and title is too misleading and doesn’t help at all. We all know that fanatec has problems right now but you are not helping anyone neither mate.
Fanatec is probably going to get bought out by Logitech. That buyout just seems too perfect not to happen. They are the only companies that have sim equipment that works on consoles and PC. And buying Fanatec would give Logitech immediate access to a wide range of sim racing accessories.
@@Stroker-Z28 To be fair Logitech's sim peripherals aren't great but their customer service is. Basically "send broken thing in, then receive replacement no questions asked". Plus i love some of their more usual peripherals like the G502 - always been on Logitech ever since G500 in regards to mice for example. If they bought Fanatec, kept the infrastructure and only slapped Logi's customer/business practices on.... i hate to say, but that could work out quite well.
Sounds like Fanatec has been mismanaged for a long time. If they go under, another company would most likely buy them. I moved away from this company years ago and glad I did.
Yes, I'm surprised at all the love Fanatecs getting here. I was out of Sim racing for a couple of years, started again and wanted to upgrade to a DD base, I've had Fanatec pedals and wheels forever, didn't know much about DD, so I did some research and was shocked at what a mess Fanatec had become. Product failures, bad service, long delivery times, out of stock issues, the forums were full of sad tales. I'm surprised they've lasted this long, and even more surprised that anyone would STILL send them money.
I think if the banks are going to come in and try to change things it might be wise to sell off the Fanatec brand to another tech company that will keep Fanatec going, but who would you want to buy the Fanatec brand.
I've never received a payment from Moza Fanatec are reimbursing me the costs of my flights to visit them I have no agenda here, I am reporting on the truth 👍
@@Kireth They should have flown you out in business class the amount of exposure you give them 😅 Either way let’s hope Fanatec fix up, because their products are brilliant.
Problem with situations like this, is that the implication of instability can easily cause the final nail to strike. A lot of people might lose faith and either cancel orders, or do chargebacks. So a company can easily lose the lifeline income stream if people are worried about supply. Akin to a run on the banks --- tends to cause the downfall even if it was borderline viable before.
Agreed, I want a DD base to go with my old V2 pedals, but there's no way I would send Fanatec any money after doing a bit of research, and that was before this news came out. I can't understand why anybody is still supporting this mess of a company.
Hi Kireth, really enjoy your videos. How about this as a subject, if you can get a foot in the door of Logitech. I have the Logi G Pro DD and would love a GT style rim. So okay worst case scenario. No more fanatec. What would that mean for the thousands of current owners. No more software updates? And would future games be supported? I’m well happy with my DD pro and will be keeping it for as long as I can. Hopefully they can survive.

If the manufacturer goes under, that's all driver and firmware support gone as well unless someone takes the IP and continues to develop it using the same toolset, publisher certificates and so on. Incredibly unlikely as the firmware and driver source code is technically all valued intellectual property of a hugely indebted company.

Good luck to Fanatec. It certainly was a pioneer and will be remembered for it regardless.
Ridiculous scaremongering. This is a pretty normal situation for any business to be in, especially large businesses like Fanatec/Endor with millions upon millions in production costs, stock, etc. I purchased my Fanatec gear like 2 months ago and received it within 7 days.
I've only been in the Fanatec ecosystem about 10 months and I haven't had any problems. I'd like to upgrade my dd pro base to an extreme base but now I'm afraid to. I guess I'll wait until June

From a business perspective. They won't stop selling things in stock. If you want to buy something and be sure to get what you order, check for something in stock. And also, if everybody begin to be afraid of buying something it will be an economic mess for Fanatec. So ,if you want to support the brand i will say "Go deplete the stock"
I recently started sim racing and did my first upgrade. I didn’t go with fanatec because of all the issues. I went with another company. Didn’t won’t to risk it.
I’m sorry but there are some bigger youtubers that do have affiliate links & do push fanatec. (Listen closely) I like these guys. I think they are good people. I’ll repeat. I think they are good people. That said. They have NOT mentioned the fanatec debacle “which that IS what it is” I personally believe they are in the wrong for this. Especially younger players. They see sim racers at the top of their game and think. I need a good sim rig. The youtuber pushes their fanatec affiliate link. They truly should be informing their viewers as to what is going on.
If fanatec goes under, monza or asatek will come in to replace these companies with console compatibility. I hope it figured a way to survive but there will be a successor to console sim racing.
It will be a very sad day to lose an innovator of Sim wheels. I pray they don't. They are an amazing brand, and we need them in the sim and real racing world. Everybody needs to order something to put money back into the brand.
So they haven’t filled orders from Black Friday yet? I put an order in on March 16th and it still hasn’t shipped. So what I am seeing is I may never get my order.
I got mine today 23.04.2024 ordered 10.04.2024. I was worry because i have Handover to warehouse status with no change. And suddenly 5 packages appears at my doors.
I wonder how much the underlying debt is? Could be a great takeover opportunity. Fanatec is the industry leader and one of the only console partnerships atm, which gives them a clear edge. The company needs simplification, a reduction in product lines, and a move away from the outrunner motors. The fact that people hold Chinese made/produced/qc'd products in higher regards shows the distrust the consumers have developed. *sorry, not throwing shade on Simagic or Moza. Hi Kireth, great video 👍and I think everyone should know what happens with fanatec, I started with Fanatec Porsche 911 GT3 RS then and all these years I upgraded to a new base and wheel and I have been a regular customer of fanatec for years so far and I continue to believe in Fanatec and I have already bought that wheelbase as soon as they bring a new product to the market, I will immediately pre-order, I have also been waiting for dd extreme for 1.5 months and I am not going to cancel, I will continue with hope. fanatec is the best sim racing ecosystem that works with PlayStation and Xbox and PC, what fanatec does wrong is that they give the UA-camrs the first free products and not the customers and that is not good. Top video that everyone can see what happens.

It's going to survive if someone saves it and all you need to know about that is that the brand is worth a lot of money, as it is a HUGE name in the industry. If you're OBJECTIVELY thinking in terms of losing your money, it really is safer to buy a rig than go anywhere near the stock at the moment. That's it. I wouldn't be worried about things like warranties or "not getting my stuff" lol. That's just being an alarmist rather than a realist, which does have huge potential for tangible damage. If you weren't aware that's fine, but you're clearly aware now. We see you trying to do damage/reputation control by asking "dId YoU wAtCh tHe ViDeO?"
Also credit cards have pretty solid consumer protections, making your whole alarmist click bait moot. Even with debit cards, most banks are more than willing to go claw your money back through payment processors when you don't get your stuff
I feel like this is an echo chamber and borderline disingenuous. I'm not discounting people's issues with delivery / RMA times but when I placed my order it was delivered in 7 days, that was back in Feb. They did overcharge me for an item however, I contacted them, and they refunded it within 5 days. Love my gear BTW. They are not going under..

Man, amazing what happens when you get so far ahead of the industry for years and get lazy. The only thing that fanatec has anymore in their pocket is the ps5 compatibility, and if Sony puts GT on PC, well there goes fanatec in the current state.
I can't help but think that, while these videos are important in keeping the community informed and up to date about very real issues, they also create uncertainty for anyone looking to invest in this product in any form. In other words I can't help but see Fanatec end because of the ever growing avalanche approaching them because in order to satisfy the bank requirements they have to sell as much product in as short a period of time as possible, if it's even possible while contending with the news of their situation becoming more public and causing further erosion in brand trust. These videos are blessings for anyone who wants Fanatec to fail or is complicit with one of their competitors to try and bring the brand down.
You're forgetting the other side of the story here, there is a very real possibility of people losing hundreds or even thousands of dollars/pounds/euros by ordering Fanatec products, only to find that the Company has gone bust and their money is, at best, in limbo. Fanatec has made a mess of their business lately, it's well known if you do any sort of research on line. Complaints about quality, slow delivery and poor support are all over the Sim racing forums, it's OK to support a brand that you like, but Fanatec has to pull their finger out and show everybody that they deserve continuing support. I've had a Fanatec Porsche wheel and V2 pedals for over 5 years, and after a couple of years of being out of Sim Racing, started to get back into it and wanted to upgrade to a DD base, wanted to stick with Fanatec, but a few minutes of Googling had me shocked at what was going on with them, no way I would send them any of my money, they've lost me as a Customer and only have themselves to blame. I would assume that there were lots of people similar to me that have come to that conclusion, so this news was probably inevitable, as with much more competition now, Fanatec, by their own actions, will go down, and if these type of videos stop people from risking their money, all power to them.
I have been using Fanatec since the 911 turbo s rim was launched. Still using my v2.5 base 5 years now with no faults. Big mistake imo was sponsorship was way over the top.
I've had my V2 pedals forever and they're still good, was looking to upgrade to a DD base, and would like to stick with Fanatec, but there was no way I was going you send them any money, after finding out about the mess they've made of things recently, now with this news, it's going to be Simmagic, Asetek or Moza getting my money.
@@The-Lone-Racer-30 Yes, but a bit pricey for me and more NM's than I need, I wish they come out with a lower (around 12) NM base, like the other brands have. Lowest here (Australia) is 17 NM at around $2000aus., base only, can get an Asetek La Prima with wheel and pedals for that.
Kireth. Tons of glare from your eyeglasses on the video. Does not seem like you have an antireflective coating on that pair. Make sure next time you get that on your lenses. Will keep the glare down and help with eye strain. Plus you'll look better on camera. Cheers! Good content and detailed information.
Not generally. Its added when your lenses are getting fabricated. Here in the States it's around $75-100 additional to add it. I highly recommend it. Ordered in Jan still waiting due to the free upgrade to the qr1 lite still isn't in stock expected back in stock April 11th after having been put back twice so far
I find this kind of content creation is incredibly irresponsible. To many ‘influencers’ are trying to get clicks ‘warning customers’ but instead are using their influence to kill a business. ‘Fanatec Closing Down’ as a clickbait image. If I was Fanatec I’d be taking Legal advice against this channel. If a company in a financially challenging situation and has stock to fulfil orders then telling ppl to consider cancelling orders is basically destroying the chance for the business to recover.
Most say this is a clickbait and scaremongering video but this is also the reality. I am very glad Kireth is keeping everyone in the loop about Fanatec. Kireth please keep us informed. Thank you!
Well they probably need everyone’s orders to fill the void. If not, then where are they getting money that they need to pay back? Loans from other people? Probably not. Ordering will probably save them.
If I know I will get my money back instantly I would cancel my order but since they partially sent the order (just a cable) it will now be complicated and I don't want to go back and forth with the emails when in reality they are not replying to emails and they haven't done so in months, in my case at least.
I ordered mine on 10th Jan when they were closed for audit gt dd pro and load cell with a McLaren wheel, received on 19th Jan, I have a theory that the only people.kept waiting bought on a sale or used a code , I did not paid full price got items non-issue
It only takes the community to do a help Fanatec stay liquid fundraiser 😮❤ or one/two investors to come in with a small infusion of cash. Our Fanatec products are great, we gotta encourage someone to just help sort it out. Please don't let Fanatec go bad. Products are very good and so many of us use and love them. Those factors should be enough for investors to help get through this. Come on, let's go!
they are just changing names , , where is K-mart, Sears < the new name is Walmart , you see, so today is fanatec , tomorrow will be you , think positive i know you can make it , right?
@@ChristopherWoodsand you know this how ???
I don't like this video. Sure, it's "good" to warn consumers that there is a certain risk. But your video feels to me like it's creating panic and if lots of consumers listen to your advice, that might actually contribute to Fanatec going under. The banks are not stupid. If they just "demand their money back", Fanatec will definitely go under and the banks will only recover a small part of the money. So it's in the banks' best interest to keep the company running, and actually help steer the company to become successful again (economically). So if we all keep cool heads, both Fanatec and us consumers should be perfectly safe. Just my 2 cents, of course.
I'm genuinely not sure if you watched the whole video, because you agree with the main points I made
@@Kireth I did watch the whole video.

Hi Kireth, really enjoy your videos. How about this as a subject, if you can get a foot in the door of Logitech. I have the Logi G Pro DD and would love a GT style rim. Something a lot of other G Pro owners I am sure would also love to own. Can you do some digging, being that you are also a G Pro owner? There have been rumours but nothing solid.
@@virtualawakening2299 - Please don't hijack my comment to potentially slander Kireth with your above comment. Tread very carefully when commenting within a public forum. Kireth is a massive sim racing fan and has been very vocal on his support for the quality of Fanatec products in past videos. He is very careful with his choice of words and his delivery. If Fanatec do disappear, or as you suggest get swallowed up by a large multi-national, it will be a sad day for the Sim Racing community and Kireth knows that.
So okay worst case scenario. No more fanatec. What would that mean for the thousands of current owners. No more software updates? And would future games be supported? I’m well happy with my DD pro and will be keeping it for as long as I can. Hopefully they can survive.
Fanatec will stay, no matter what.
There will always be someone who would buy them from their mother company Endor AG.
All those blown up crap from all those clickbait youtubers, jesus.
@@R4ZORLIGHT hello I hope so it’s such a great product certainly going to keep mine going for as long as possible. Only thing I would like to see changed and that would be for fanatec to have other outlets so you could buy them from the country that you live in rather than having to buy them directly from Germany.
@@paulhepden2536 Yep it sucks that you can only buy from them directly and i am from germany.
@@R4ZORLIGHT yes would just make it a lot easier if you have a problem. Just being able to take it in to a local shop. And in the uk we now have to mess about with import duties.
If they end their company, probably some software developer can continue their job, one way or another.
For replacement parts, or warranty, I doubt they will give any support at all. But there are aftermarket parts.
More downvotes than upvotes under this video, but he's right and don't hit the messenger. It's like with falling stocks and not wise to buy until there are no better news.
@@virtualawakening2299Watch his new video...
Cool. What about the software updates side of things, drivers, firmware etc... ?
If the manufacturer goes under, that's all driver and firmware support gone as well unless someone takes the IP and continues to develop it using the same toolset, publisher certificates and so on. Incredibly unlikely as the firmware and driver source code is technically all valued intellectual property of a hugely indebted company.
They.... Have no IP unfortunately
@@smokeybandit1020 they'd probably argue the licensing agreements, the software, firmware and hardware designs are all legally trademarked and copyrighted IP, then there's whatever other intangible assets and stock they have landed in warehouse... Perhaps they're working on R&Ding some amazing new DD system which fixes the faults in the DD1 and DD2, who knows. Only TJ, the board and the banks.
@@ChristopherWoods licensing and sponsorship agreements aren't free, in fact it could be argued that it would be burden. As for designs and IPs, it seems the competitors can develop this on their own organically. Whatever the value that they think they have, pretty sure potential buyers will have to decide if it's something they can do on their own with the same amount and how much benefit in time and effort it gets.
CLICKBAIT!!!!!
Well I just placed a $2800 order and I certainly don't wanna lose that money. It seems US orders ship fairly quickly so I'm hoping I'll receive my items in the next couple of weeks. But I guess if it drags on for several weeks I'll have to consider calling my credit card company to cancel.
Love my DD Pro, I don’t want to see them go under 😬🤞🏼🍀
From a business perspective. They won't stop selling things in stock. If you want to buy something and be sure to get what you order, check for something in stock. And also, if everybody begin to be afraid of buying something it will be an economic mess for Fanatec. So ,if you want to support the brand i will say "Go deplete the stock"
I ordered one 3 days ago says it will arrive tomorrow for ps5
I recently started sim racing and did my first upgrade. I didn’t go with fanatec because of all the issues. I went with another company. Didn’t won’t to risk it.
Seems like Sony Corp. would have an interest in either purchasing or bailing out Fanatec considering their flagship wheel is made by them.
Their communities have loyal followers and happy consumers. I am very happy fanatec user for just over 2 years and any delays in shipping were made aware at time of purchase and did not affect my decision.
*side note @kireth the video thumbnail should be a bit more "friendly"
'Going out of business sale" 😅💀
But if we want rescue Fanatec (That would be my intention...) we must buy thier stuf to give the Company the Money to rescue it. I just want buy the new DD+ in a couple of month...
I cancelled my 1500 Dollar order on Sunday. Got my refund yesterday. I didnt want to gamble with not getting my gear or money "if" they went tits up. If Fanatec gets there shit together then I will order again.
How did it work I clicked cancel on Sunday and had no reply no answer to emails or online chats
@@sh3nder I just kept checking the order page. It changed from "Order is in Process" To "Order Cancelled" On Tuesday. Refund was in my account Wednesday evening. I have gotten 0 confirmation emails for the cancellation, the refund or any of the inquiries I have made except for the auto generated canned responses.
All he’s saying is be aware of the risks of ordering with this company. I’m not sure if a lot of you are listening lol
Thanks Jose!!
I ordered a cs dd extreme got it in 6 business days, Ive also been looking for a one rim to rule them all, but most of them won’t ship till may 28 which I risk. I think if it says ships 4-7 business days your good, gonna order another qr2 today
Great. I have a 2k order, everything was supposed to be in stock, no answers to emails. I payed with Paypal but they take months to refund.
I ordered a GT DD PRO on 17th March and have heard nothing since. Credit card has been charged but no communication from them at all.
No shipping emails at all?
QR1 lite is on pre-order so it might take a bit longer.
@@Kireth Nope, my account 'order ststus' just says 'Handover to warehouse'. Order total is 874,95 €. I have emailed them but no response (yet).
@@Kireth My order is: CSL Pedals, CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit, Boost Kit 180 (8Nm) and Gran Turismo DD Pro. I paid on Amex so guess I can get my money back if they don't deliver.
QR1 lite is out of stock until April 11th, this was on their website when I ordered my item
@@SaintKimbo Simucube next for me 😀

Yes, but a bit pricey for me and more NM's than I need, I wish they come out with a lower (around 12) NM base, like the other brands have.
Can I get this coating added?
Not generally. Its added when your lenses are getting fabricated. Here in the States it's around $75-100 additional to add it. I highly recommend it. You'll find driving at night and in the rain so much more comfortable. Just make sure to ask your optician next time you order glasses. TBH their doing you a disservice by not offering it. (BTW, I am a licensed Optician) Hope to see you with it on your next pair. Cheers. Sando

I bought 23rd march picking csl + QR2 kit, and it turned up today, but I missed the delivery guy 😢😂
@reviewforthetube6485 It turned up again today hahah 👍
Im still waiting on my order that was placed 2 weeks ago. Im scared as i cant afford to lose £500.
Have you recieved your order yet? Cuz i also ordered 2 weeks ago.😅
I like the way you're devaluing Fanatec. 😂
This is a genius marketing strategy. Whipping peoole into a FOMO frenzy. I mean, i have a Fanatec setup already but im still upgrading. 💢
I'm not worried, companies do this all the time! Don't panic!!
Bloody hell dude posted this video on reddit and got so much hate had to remove my post with this video linked, think I upset the fanatec fanboys lol
