As a race driver - there is nothing to see here. in the case of the mazda where Max had a wiggle the Mazda should have been very aware. He would have got the blue flag in iRacing when Max was 1 second behind
I mean the incident at 4:39, there is a clip going about of them spinning Max on lap 21 and then this lap 39 they are actively trying to block him, the normal line through there is to go over to the left which Max is probably expecting them to do but they don't 🤷♂ also you're comparing one of the best current racing drivers against us common plebs, there's obv going to be incidents 🤣

loool 3 times F1 WDC, and he can't judge a closing gap? The rear snapped on him because the closing gap was too small, and he tried to turn more than what the grip allowed him for his speed. He went too fast thinking he would scare the other car and force him to leave space, but the other car didn't because he didn't have to. So the gap closed as it was always going to, and Max had to turn more and more, and he was too fast for the rears to follow. The only way he would make this pass is for the other car to just let him through, so he tried to bully them into it, but it didn't work.
@@MegaIronica yes exactly lol. But had he not taken the turn so shallow his rears would not have broke and he would have been able to slow the car down. As a guy who use to race both sim and real life.... It's a big difference in being overly aggressive in game and in actual wheel to wheel combat. People who don't know the difference are entertained by it, but it's a real difference when YOU'RE IN THE CAR IRL!... Clean overtakes will always trump divebombs in the end.
16:25 I'm baffled by how much time you spent on this corner. Max was clearly ahead both times, and he made the turn. It's a multiclass race. Obviously the guy on the outside needs to back off. 17:20 okay mate, you got me. This is just engagement bait. I commented twice, so there you go. I'll like the video as well 👍
Incident 1 = ok. Incident 2 = at fault. Incident 3 = ok. Incident 4 = looks like Max might have been heading for the pits or hoping to take outside line. Incident 5 = not at fault. Incident 6 = not at fault. Incident 7 = he opened up the steering to avoid the car on inside. Incident 8 = his fault. Incident 9 = ok. Incident 10 = at fault. Incident 11 = at fault. Incident 12 = fine. Incident 13 = legally ok, but too aggressive. Incident 14 = ok.
Max races the rest of the field hard, expecting them to be as knowledgeable and as skillied as he is when it comes to race craft. But when it comes to blue flag situations for instance he has to take into account that the drivers are most likely extremely shook when they see MAX 'fkn' VERSTAPPEN in their rear view mirror and the other drivers may fumble and overly slow to allow him past. I've never been in the same race as Max, but I know I'd be overthinking how I'm gonna defend or when/where I'm gonna let him through safely and correctly.
So there is a significant difference. Max has grown up sim racing where there are no consequences. Modern safety of F1 including the halo and the massive tractor cars is also much better. Not to mention massive runoff areas and barriers etc. Senna, Mansell etc drove a 1000 HP go cart, sitting fully exposed and not unusual for several drivers to die each year. There was little run off areas. It's not the same
Definetely buy a budget to see if sim racing is for you or not, then stay with it as long as you can / a year is a good amount of time/ and save money, then buy a top tier if you like it a lot and call it a day!!! I started with the G29, then bought a GT DD Pro 8nm because most videos say that 8nm is enough for most people - NO it is not. 8nm is the absolute minimum to have fun and to feel the road and keep you interested for longer time. You need more. Now I can’t wait to get the Simucube 2 Pro. I shouldve skipped the GTDD Pro and shouldve started with Trustmaster because they have a different levels budget wheels also decent shifter and handbrake compare to Logitech. Moza is a great option to look at if you are on PC. And I think PC is where you should start on, because that is the base. Components for PC are cheaper, you can mix and match pedals and wheels and also you will have the best sim platforms like iRacing, R Factor2, Automobilista 2, ACC - LFM and Le Mans Ultimate and Microsoft Flight Simulator if you want to. To play on a single 1440p monitor you don’t need a very expensive or capable PC. But that is how I would’ve started if I start all over again, and would’ve saved some money. Because let’s face it - if you like it like most people you would end up with top equipment anyway, so the less equipment you buy between budget and top - the better.
Buy a entry level wheel to start with to find out if the hobby is for you. If you find out you're in it for the long haul, then buy the best you can afford when rdy to upgrade. I don't like to waste money upgrading all the time, so I went from a GT DD Pro (entry) to a Simucube 2 Pro. Never upgrading again (unless my wheel base dies, which is unlikely) ..
You can't use footage from that charity event and use that against Max to say hes a dirty or aggressive driver, go watch all the drivers streams from the event, particularly Jimmy Broadbent's video, everyone was crashing it wasn't serious racing.
Odd to give so much excuse to Max via netcode, as if Max hasn't been on the service for 10 years, which is more than long enough to learn that a gap that is exactly big enough isn't actually big enough because of netcode inaccuracy. The rest of us mostly manage to race while keeping netcode in mind. Why can't Max?
Max can be a dirty driver, but only when it matters for the win or the championship. By default he is a respectful driver. I always compare it with a football player. A player that has to prevent a broken through attacker to score, will mow him down, taking the red card in his stride. That is how top sport work. It is not about being fair 100%. It is about results.
He has simply realised that he can use other peoples cars as braking aids, and he gets away with it, I appreciate you making this video, but even then you give him the benefit of the doubt simply because he's an F1 driver, if you watch those incidents not knowing who the driver was would you come to the same conclusion ?
He isn't a dirty racing driver, just very aggressive. (not a Max fan, don't hate him or like him just not a fan as i don't believe in putting people on a pedestal )
Max is the GOAT. He's a 4x World champion. Those that dislike him will still brag in years to come to tell people they were there to witness him do it. Enjoy it while it last's. These drivers only come around once and a while. He's on the same list as Senna, Schumacher and Hamilton.
I think some people need to understand this is a competition. This is racing. If you come to a race to be nice or just avoid having incidents you will never be as fast as you need to succeed. This doesn't apply only to racing. There's competitiveness in real world jobs as well where only the bests will clash to get the best results
There's a difference between competing and crashing out other competitors. In many of these clips he's crashing out others not even in his class for no valid reason. Max is a selfish troll that only cares about himself. Very low class and not much skill. If he had a lot of skill he wouldn't need to crash others out or dive into the corner taking their line forcing them wide to win. That move is like a spoiled little Princess that has to have her way or she will cry.
@777trader8 Im not saying anything about max being wrong or right in the clips. It's obvious that he crashes a lot and we can see that half of the collisions are his fault. But my message was for the people who think competition is a solidarity cause
@@777trader8 "Not much skill" LOL you are a mega clown for that statement. 4x World Champion F1 driver and widely considered by other simmers to be one of the best.
tbf, I dislike Max and I personally think he's a really dirty driver. but the incident at 3:00 was that the Miata in front turned in late. I bet Max thought the Miata in front saw him and was gonna leave him space, and then the Miata did a big turn in and Max jammed on his brakes cause he knew he was about collide. Honestly, I'd kinda say racing incident there.

You say it as a matter of fact that Max gets in a lot of incidents. But these are like 2-3 clips each from individual 24 hours races, right? What are you comparing him to? What are the other driver's rate of incidents?
The irony od this being a charity event for the MIND mental health team... is that with all these incidents (whether Max's fault or not) may well have caused a bunch of drivers to talk to someone due to stress after the race.. 🤦lol (PS. I'm just joking and not making light of mental health at all! ... I've used this very helpline myself in the past and the call handlers are incredible! Non-judgemental and are extremely easy to talk to about ANY issues you may be struggling with!) 💪✌
I think that he expects slower cars to let him pass.I dont know what happens in the game or in real racing in those sports but in F1 a car that is a lap down have to let the others pass.
so this charity event so take it as pinch of salt. but in Wec and imsa you would not get a gt3 car trying to overtake a porotype/hyper car unless they were on stone cold tyres or there was problem with car.
Well guess what, he's having fun as was everyone else in that race. Plenty of accidents happened. Look at any of his "serious" races like the nurburgring 24h etc. Do you see him in these accidents there? No
I will not defend Max, but it was a bad car combo.. prototypes are just to fast for Zolder and the difference between MX5 and prototype is just to big..
As long as he is ahead at the apex and he makes the corner it's fair in my opinion the defending driver also has to react to it, before the entry of a corner look in the mirror to see if the attacking car goes for it and if he does then expect anything!!
Ohhh sorry I thought it was on the overtaking car to make sure theumy do it safely. I didn't know it was on the defending car to make sure the car behind them doesn't punt them into the shadow realm 😂
as i said if the attacking car gets ahead before the apex while also making the corner, the defending car must expect him there and not just keep turning into the attacking car on the inside , you got a rear view mirror for a reason and you can't decide if the driver behind is willing to go for the gap or not. it's racing at the end of the day
Mate amazing unique content as awalys. Could you make a tutorial on how to find max on iracing and how to follow a path in iracing to race max? Would make great video.
He race for him self & to hell if you get in his way All he wants every one to know it especially his opposition he want them to fear and get out of his way All the greats have been guilty of the same but they didn’t make it so obvious like Max does.
This is a charity race. If someone pays money for charity they can give him or others, drive-throughs, or they have to sing a song, tell a joke etc. So why did you take this race to show us how he drives??? There's more than enough footage of him racing on iRacing at serious events. Just another video to criticize Max and get your clicks. Keep trying buddy but Max will forever be one of the best drivers and certainly the best on the grid at this moment.
@Kireth I think this is a very disingenuous video. You are analysing Max's racing from a charity race that is designed to be silly with no normal racing rules. Drivers are being told "you must lunge the next corner, it's imperative for the race", drivers are given stop go penalties based on donations (11 in one go for one driver), and the race ends in a massive crash every year on purpose. The race is all in very good humour and dodgy driving is pretty much encouraged. Obviously you know all of this having raced in it yourself yet you are analysing the racing as if it's under normal/serious racing rules.
This video could have been 3 seconds long. All you needed to do was show the word yes. We've all know for years Max is dirty, it's just he's always bent the rules to get away with it.
I'm not sure I'd 100% say he's dirty. I think I'd say he has a belief that hes absolutely entitled to every bit of road, to the point where he thinks others should be automatically moving out of the way for him. Kind of reminds me of a young Vettel, but Vettel well and truly grew up.
early in iracing max expect expect like all ppl around pro, guys use mirrors, all three. But time show him, ppl with rating 5k and lower not use it at all or get out the way immediately)
I think he brutes his way through. He takes risks that are guaranteed to result in unsporty behaviour. He pays the price later instead of assuring to not need to pay a price. He drives a way that is in the grey zone that affects peers negatively, which is positive for him. Only seldom does he get severe penalties.
Yep, he certainly is a dirty driver and basically a thug. We've seen it over the years with Dani, Charles, and now Lando. The guy needs a race ban, or 3, to try to get him to clean up his act. 😢
You only see the positives of your driver and only see the negatives of Verstappen. Drivers make mistakes, they crash it is part of the sport. Stop focussing on Verstappen and only see issues when you see him.
I can smell teamLH a mile off. hes not a dirty driver and definitely not a thug. The only driver on the grid the greats like Senna or Schumacher would respect is Verstappen

I'll like the video as well 👍
Sounds like lando doing a science project on max
It's not the same
HES RUNNING INTO PEOPLE....😂

How would you justify buying a sim steering wheel?
and if so, should I buy a budget wheel or wait longer and get a mid tier wheel?
Definitely not.😂
Odd to give so much excuse to Max via netcode, as if Max hasn't been on the service for 10 years, which is more than long enough to learn that a gap that is exactly big enough isn't actually big enough because of netcode inaccuracy.
If you’re asking yourself and others if he’s a dirty driver he’s indeed a dirty driver
Don’t read into this. Watch the broadcast. Maybe talk more about the ways in which money was raised in this race.
yeah this man is analyzing and saying ''What would you do if you were the FIA?'' bro come on🤣🤣
@@RobbsHQ its just that this particular race was driven with a different spirit to the norm. this driving was well within the spirit of the race. the naughty driving actually raised more money and they smashed records.
@@andyreader3867 Yeah I agree, it was all about having fun, I enjoyed watching the streams online. It just a shame that this video did not capture that.
@@andyreader3867 right, tons of jokes over voice chat about "being the first to the apex", several jokes on stream from his teammates saying "divebomb is critical for our race" lmao
Dirty or not, he is the best of em all in simracing and formula 1. I like his driving style and his aggressive stand against the fia.
You say it as a matter of fact that Max gets in a lot of incidents. But these are like 2-3 clips each from individual 24 hours races, right? What are you comparing him to? What are the other driver's rate of incidents?
3:30 he lost the back and is trying to get it backl
I want to see Kimi in iRacing preferably against Verstappen and want to hear his voice 😂 !!!
Great footage of Max!
reminds me of Karen25
Whahhaha everyone punted everyone in this race bro.. 😅😅 it was heaps of fun to watch the carnage and people just enjoying the stints and drama
Imo There are loads of drivers that drive like max and they have good results normally at the expense of the other drivers.
I think being a good sim racer u have to have the skill to not hit cars. When I race on iRacing that’s my like number 1 priority
The irony od this being a charity event for the MIND mental health team... is that with all these incidents (whether Max's fault or not) may well have caused a bunch of drivers to talk to someone due to stress after the race.. 🤦lol
(PS. I'm just joking and not making light of mental health at all! ... I've used this very helpline myself in the past and the call handlers are incredible! Non-judgemental and are extremely easy to talk to about ANY issues you may be struggling with!) 💪✌
The telemetry footage from Jedda's 21 brake test answers the video's question.
please tell me its not the telemetry from that reddit post because that was fake you can tell by watching his onboard non of it matches
Real racers usually don't take sim racing seriously. Max at least attempts to be competitive.
Low IQ video big time.
Of how many hours of sim racing is this?
It seems Max expects slower cars to be able to avoid a crash even when they don’t have a car that can do that
I think that he expects slower cars to let him pass.I dont know what happens in the game or in real racing in those sports but in F1 a car that is a lap down have to let the others pass.
so this charity event so take it as pinch of salt. but in Wec and imsa you would not get a gt3 car trying to overtake a porotype/hyper car unless they were on stone cold tyres or there was problem with car.
I didn't know it was on the defending car to make sure the car behind them doesn't punt them into the shadow realm 😂
as i said if the attacking car gets ahead before the apex while also making the corner, the defending car must expect him there and not just keep turning into the attacking car on the inside , you got a rear view mirror for a reason and you can't decide if the driver behind is willing to go for the gap or not. it's racing at the end of the day
He's not as bad as Maldonado/Mazepin/Grosjean/Torpedo/Magnussen but yes...
Well when you don't have the pace you get dirty
Mate amazing unique content as awalys.
Could you make a tutorial on how to find max on iracing and how to follow a path in iracing to race max? Would make great video.
Max races like he is the only one at the track.
But thank god his cult is on standby to defend every critical comment.
He race for him self & to hell if you get in his way All he wants every one to know it especially his opposition he want them to fear and get out of his way All the greats have been guilty of the same but they didn’t make it so obvious like Max does.
No, he's an aggressive driver. There's a difference.
I make it short for you - yes, yes he is
Just inchidents
There's a reason why he always wins
This is a charity race. If someone pays money for charity they can give him or others, drive-throughs, or they have to sing a song, tell a joke etc. So why did you take this race to show us how he drives??? There's more than enough footage of him racing on iRacing at serious events. Just another video to criticize Max and get your clicks. Keep trying buddy but Max will forever be one of the best drivers and certainly the best on the grid at this moment.
4:30 funny
Yeah so I stopped watching when I got 3 lots of adverts within 10 minutes. far too much
3:40 "I'm a racing driver" you've got to be kidding me right? You drive gran turismo.......................
Obviously you know all of this having raced in it yourself yet you are analysing the racing as if it's under normal/serious racing rules.
hes just another clout chaser using Max's name to try and grow his channel. Its so obvious. I see it all over youtube.
Max is the dirtiest F1 driver I have ever seen in 40 years of watching the sport
Prost?
@@Kireth Prost had his moments but generally disliked risking contact.... unlike Max
btw I didn't mean there was a dirtier driver 40 years ago... just how long I've been watching
Yes verstappen is wreck less in real life and sims… absolutely. If Leclerc and others didn’t move Verstappen would have had so many crashes by now.
Leclerc doesn't back off with max lol
This video could have been 3 seconds long. All you needed to do was show the word yes. We've all know for years Max is dirty, it's just he's always bent the rules to get away with it.
thats not bending the rules just exploring them to their limit
Hes following the rules of the sport
Dirty.😂
cry more kireth
Hooray clickbait!!!
Max is a BEAST. On his way to the GOAT
No
I'm not sure I'd 100% say he's dirty.
Stop focussing on Verstappen and only see issues when you see him.
womp womp
I can smell teamLH a mile off. hes not a dirty driver and definitely not a thug. The only driver on the grid the greats like Senna or Schumacher would respect is Verstappen
Yes...
Yep
Why is there even doubt about this ? Yes he is dirty af
