The Audi Gets A New Air Intake

This is the first official video I am uploading on my 2004 Audi a4 quattro 1.8Turbo.
since recording this video i have added Gold heat tape to the heat shield to try and cut down on some of the heat from the exhaust.

nice job man. I really miss my b6. you should do a downpipe next if you still have the car. and don't worry about the haters about the hot air intake. I straight piped my old toyota matrix and when I opened the airbox to bypass the intake tubing restriction, it would chirp the tires in second gear, and when I closed the airbox back up, it wouldn't chirp second, and it had noticeably less power at above 3k rpm. at a certain point the lack of restriction gives more power than the cold air does, it's a balance, obviously it's best to have both, but it's nice having the cool sounds too.

Stock maf inlet and outlet size is 2.25 in

no more coold air for them i back my fabric setup,in summer he takes all hot air from motor and cataylitic converter and going slowly

He should really section that area with a Ali sheet and mount the heat sheild to absorb most the heat

Ps u need coupler to go into your filter also u are gonna ruin ur air filter rubber where the clamp goes.

I changed to a cone filter on my a4, still dont hear any turbo sounds, well barely when the hood is up

What intake you got. Because i bought a spectre from autozone and it was 3” and it didn’t fit. It was too big for the maf.

Please do not call this a cold air kit.... youre only replacing the air filter.... and please dont ever call the air filter a air intake...
