Ah yes the duality of lfg you either never finish the raid cuz everyone leaves or get crazy good teammates and finish it in 30 mins

I did a dsc in like, 45 mins with one team, dunno how tf tho, and one time, I did a big a vog, but no one talked whatsoever, but they kicked me after a placed a raid banner, I didn't see the message telling me not to, but damn it was weird, we got to atheon, was sad but damn I wish I didn't place that raid banner.
@@zanescoot some people are just weird about raiding bro. They can be the best but the most quiet player on your team and they assume every run has to be a flawless one. I hate the quiet raid teams anyway. They be the biggest douchebags

I jsut brought my 2 friends into Destiny 2 so Id have 2 new lights on standby if someoen can convince them.
It's insanely obvious why he can't have a new player do all this stuff esp in a day not to mention how you gunna make a video watching a noob figure out how poorly explained destiny is.

I had to cap my FPS on that sparrow part to avoid getting insta sniped. At 30fps they literally couldn't hit me, great game 10/10

can a new player do root of nightmares after 24 hours? no. absolutely not. can a seasoned player of the game with multiple day 1s, a world first, multiple solo flawlesses and knows every aspect of the game and how to exploit it to get the most loot and the most meaningful loot do it in a new character? yes, ofc they can

To be fair, in my group I'm permanently relegated to add clear for Planets because I can't do the mechanic for the life of me... ask me to run either side for shelves or Nezzy, though, and I can hold my own on either side

@@jackalexande Couldn't tell you. The mechanic for Planets just doesn't come as easily to me as running light/dark nodes for some reason

"Every new player can do this, they just don't" Because it takes knowledge of the game, it's weapons and it's mechanics. In a game which explains virtually nothing to new lights
literally explains nothing. you'd have to spend more time watching youtube videos on what to do and where/how to get the proper loot than you would on any raids themselves.
@@ichigo-rz6qk I remember my first few months playing d2 despite having played d1 for years I was having to paly with my phone by my side as constantly googling "what is?... how to get?... where is?....what are?..." It was really frustrating, especially given how convoluted much of the game is and its mechanics and currency systems yet the game tells you nothing
@@papaspaulding i feel that. sometimes i take a 3 month breaks and come back and after almost a decade of experience with this game i still have to pull out my phone and search up how to do this or that. the sad part is that A TON of the things are extremely easy to explain but damn near IMPOSSIBLE to figure out without a good explanation but destiny couldnt bother to give you so much as a hint not to mention an explanation.
@@ichigo-rz6qk Same, there is so much that we take it for granted then when having a break and coming back so does the reality of just how convoluted everything is. even more so as things change every season as well as general patch's and fixes so even have to take that into account when googling stuff.. which a new light might well not be aware of at times
I've been with D2 since before Curse of Osiris and lemme tell you rn. I'm playing with two friends who have only had the game for 2 weeks and its been an Experience. First 24 hours of the game has just been me laying down wikipedia pages worth of game mechanics and lore just to get em in the loop. Its been fun aside from that, but as a person who studies game design.... massive accessibility issue.Its an utter nightmare for complete new lights these days.

Feels really good to see sweat struggle with solo legend calus lol. I know it wasnt a meta loadout but goes to show how the scaling is really extreme from hard to easy as you add players to team
It’s actually opposite it scales in difficulty the more players you do it with

@@darthnater6204ealth maybe but the ability to shift agro while the others do damage makes it way easier
@@darthnater6204 incorrect, the difficulty is diminished since more health/ damage means nothing to synergistic builds that don't care about those increases. Using rocks on Calus on their own isnt great, having a tether hunter and a starlock using gjally and rocks shreds him before the torms are able to finish their spawn animation
@@darthnater6204 they fixed that somewhat with the lightfall legendary. It is not as extreme as it was in witch queen.
Even though he doesn't have the new light experience, I love these type of videos from sweat.
I actually did this for contest mode. I made my account friday when it launched and beat neumuna and then got roped into helping friends do the contest since I was 1780. We got the clear but man it was one heck of a welcome to destiny

Sweat messing up and not calling it out is peak LFG experience. That is how you get hard stuck on a boss instead of accepting mistakes and moving forward by swapping roles/learning what went wrong lol.
God two friends one who only touched destiny 2 for like 10 mins and another who has started playing the game it is very fun playing with them and sitting in each encounter or any puzzle of any raid or dungeon for them to figure it out and they learn pretty fast with time they are even grinding light level gonna take them to their first gm when it drops and see how it all goes down

Crazy how Bungie can easily relay to a player to buy all of their BS eververse and expansions but can’t even provide a decent new light experience and a good Segway between early to mid game and mid to late. It’s just good job for doing new light now go out hardest content oh btw pay 500$ so you can use this new white gun

The actual new light experience is a f*cking nightmare now, i honestly wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. But that aside, these videos are always a lot of fun to watch, especially with the editing

I once had an lfg kings fall where it was 5 of us and we just grabbed 1 from lfg, literally the moment we landed dude said "idk ya'll kinda gay for me" and left lmao we weren't even mad that shit was funny asf

The duality of the average LFG experience, you spend some time finding a team, first team usually is ass and falls apart an hour in. Get a second team (sometimes a third) and you finish the raid in 45min with some totally cracked gamers.

If “New Player” means someone who has never touched destiny before in their life, unless they are an FPS pro and an extremely rapid learner, it’s safe to say it’d be about a week before they were raid ready.

2:30 I grabbed my new light quest from archives cause i made my character before the changes (i needed to do learning light to get a void fragment) and i ended up doing the exact same thing
what activity did you do to get those exotics? over and over? a lost sector? did they happen to have chest exotic rotation? were legend lost sectors ever farmable for exotics? thought it was a just once per week thing

5:45 yeah so for those who didn’t know you can actually break out of the Tormentors grab for some reason and if anyone knows how that’d be cool to know because it just seems like it’s happened random for me a couple times.
I assumed that tormentor isn't meant to kill you. It's just a showpiece
I just go get caught right away so that it can disappear and I can progress
Only thing to make sure if that we are full hp.. Else we die and have to re spawn

I've done vog with 4 new light who just download the game with my friend. We're not even really teaching them at all, and all we do is taking care of all the damage phase, and we complete the whole raid within 3 hrs lol (btw they stucked at maze for like an hr)

I’ll agree that RoN is very easy, but honestly one of my favorite raids so far. I love the mechanic on the orbs and the encounters aren’t intimidating where my new light friends aren’t afraid to do the encounters
The fun in raids is meant to come from mechanical complexity and some level of combat challenge. Raids are meant to be hard. You saying RoN is your favorite raid is you essentially saying you hate raiding.

Carried a clanmate who couldn't damage anything due to being underleveled. He revived me once during a fight and still lived. It is possible and had been done

i am at 95 hrs in the game started playing before new light and I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT THE FK IM DOING how the hell did he level that quickly when im trying to go for the special engrams myself, this game requires waaaaay too much knowledge to do anything difficult, i dont even know what he was doing (is that a dungeon? wtf?) im so confused I dont even know why i still play

@@jasonschumacher1412 there's a Level grind system where every season has a new Soft Cap, Powerful Cap and Pinnacle Cap for the gear that drops.
Soft Cap gear can be obtained randomly by doing basically anything.
Powerful and Pinnacle in that order is different tiers above the Soft Cap that can only be earned by doing Daily/Weekly activities that has the relevant rewards advertised on the activity (ie newest expansion Raid and Raid of the week gives Pinnacle drops)
In general you want to reach the soft cap as soon as possible to then prioritize Powerful drops and Pinnacle last (when you run out of Powerful drops) because Pinnacles provide the biggest boost in levels while also being the only way to level past the powerful cap

@@inoob26 okay i knew about the new softcap level from myself getting basically reset when the new expansion came out and powerful gear obtained by doing the daily stuff but now I know that pinnacles are a thing I could probably search up how to grind that out
I don’t know if that is how lfg always is on PC but lfg on the built in xbox system is great. I got the day 1 completion with them and I always play with good people. Some people are brain dead but most people are chill and have a good amount of time and understand how to play the game.

Technically, if I was a new player (I am) I wouldn't have any idea how to speedrun to this dungeon or w/e they're called in Destiny. So no, a new player cannot do it under 24 hours.

While this is always super entertaining, there is a zero percent chance that a new light player will know what they are even supposed to be doing when they start the game. They would have to have a veteran holding their hand the entire way lol.
95 hrs in and I dont even know what this guy is doing I have a day 1 destiny 1 vet holding my hand too, I had to watch a 4 hr long lore video just to know who people were WTF and I still dont know what missions are happening when like cmon make it a linear story

Tbh I thought about doing this challenge on the 48 hours of contest mode would have been funny if a new account got through in the time of contest from the start
