If you look where the blade comes out, that small notch is probably the bottle opener/lifter! Looks so much better than a weird, uneven cut out in the tool!
You should check out Vice hardware’s utility blade. They call it the Piranha. Comes is titanium, brass, or aluminum . I have the titanium and brass and they are both great
Great price for this little guy. I wish they had covered the magnet on the back, but that's a fairly minor thing. An optional pocket clip would be nice too.
@@GearInfusionyeah if the magnet is part of the locking mechanism / mechanism to secure the blade, then it’s an essential part of the design, but for me personally I think covering it would help to keep the outside looking more consistent
That looks like a nice compact utility knife. I have heard the slot you refer to as a small rope cutter [1:47], referred to as a wire stripper with respect to the Milwaukee FastBack. I will probably not get one as I already have a Otacle U1 Carbon Fiber Small Folding Tool or MaxMadCo Design - Titanium - Utility Blade Knife, which serve a similar purpose for me. I also have a small Gerber version but generally do not use it much any longer as the Otacle has supplanted it with a speedier and more comfortable operation.
Our blade slides on what we call 'blade rails', there are two in the front and two in the back. Then for the blade itself you can see we have minimal contact with the blade, you can actually see the cutouts to avoid contacting the blade...there is a small one at the front and a large one across the back.

I saw that but didn’t really work that great as a bottle opener. Not sure if it was intentional or not
I wish it had a bottle opener. That'll be perfect
I don't understand the obsession with bottle openers. I can open everything thanks to keys, a chair, a stove, a lighter, a pen, etc.
I definitely would carry it.

I’ve seen it. I was going to pull the trigger on one weeks ago but never did. I should grab one

I’d love to see a clip
Brian from Gear Infusion here. You don't mind having a magnet, you just wish you couldn't see it? Cheers

@@ChrisCarries_EDC Yes it is a secondary lock on this one. Still good to know, thanks Chris.

I probably should’ve said paracord cutter but sure it can be used as a wire stripper, but I personally wouldn’t use it as either.
The issue with alot of these designs is that the blades rub on the bottom rails and dull out in 3 deployments,

I’d wear it with my id tag around my neck but i would lose this in a week loose in my pockets for sure
I’m thinking of taking off the lanyard and attaching it to my keychain
