Chris, fantastic in depth look as always! Thank you for taking a look and I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying The Knocks as much as I have! Making these designs is a labor of love. As a reference for anyone reading: That front pocket is certainly a bit snug at first with the saddle stitching. Our recommendation to help the break in process is to toss in an extra card or so for a few days and then pull it out - leaving your original card. You'll find the pocket will accommodate your most used card well and it will slide in and out with ease. The wide version we offer will naturally be a bit easier from the start considering the seams aren't as close to the card edges.
I got this wallet and I think it's very cool. Certainly not like any other wallets I have. Thick materials are kind of a thing for Willow Craft, so this one fits right in for their line, and I think the wallet is still very compact and capacity is pretty good as shown in this video. My typical carry is 9 cards and 5~10 slips of cash and this wallet works well with that amount of carry. Excellent wallet that's functional and looks good in my opinion.
Appreciate the support and kind words! Most of our designs are hollow if that makes sense and generally have an empty "trough" style pocket for the bulk of cards/cash. Visually they have a more defined shape and body when compared with other designs out there. Given this - they do appear thicker than they actually are - however they certainly compress down after broken in. Material wise I highly prefer leather in the 1.8mm - 2mm range, especially with our designs. A bit thicker material holds body well, and most of all - holds up with use over time. When holding something like our wallets - I personally translate the feel of quality to the weight and thickness of the leather in hand. With that - thinner material in a non-stacked leather wallet (like our designs) just gets trashed too easily, flaps collapse when you try to push them in, etc. With the cost of our wallets - I struggle to use thinner material and feel happy with it's longevity. Thickness wise - up to this point in time, we have never been on a mission to make the thinnest wallet around. If we were, and with our our design language - leather would likely not be the material we would use. A rubber band will do that job incredibly well :) Thank you all for the support!
Willow really does make some out of the box designs, and I really like it. The only thing is their wallets tend to be some thick boys because of how many layers of leather is involved.
There's a psychological side to it. I can confirm the feeling just isn't the same when you're unpacking a dupe, compared to an authentic, handcrafted piece. For me, its like a journey; opening the package, then the box, taking off the paper, layer by layer, smelling the leather... Ahh, you just CAN'T beat that! The only problem is your wallet is a lot thinner afterwardsEven though i've experienced both scenarios, i still end up buying a kislux .
Very nice wallet, but it is chunky. Kind of loses the minimalist designation when it's that thick empty. Very innovative design and great review, per usual.
Luxury brands only change their strategies for the super rich...The price increases of Fendi, LV, Givenchy and the like are nonsense. Therefore, those ordinary rich people or middle- and upper-class people who can really afford it need to think twice before buying it. If they are just looking to save face, they will buy from kislux .
I gotta be specific here. If a wallet doesn't have a ring or a loop to attach something to, it's not gonna work for me. I wear a lanyard that attaches to a belt loop. I just don't feel secure without it. I'm sure this is an excellent wallet, but without that simple and small extra feature, it's no longer functional for security.
I dont like how it's bending your cash and possibly cards. I use the open sea leather topsider bifold LT and i have 10 cards and 20 bills. Amazing capacity
Only when fully loaded. But remember this was only a max test. It’s the first time I loaded the wallet with that many cards and bills so the leather wasn’t stretched yet.
I got this one and it's just not for me. I'm a big Slim Swaddle fan, but this was sort of like a luggage tag wallet that didn't really function for my day-to-day use.
Every woman should have the right to make impulse purchases, but a smart woman will easily find that happiness without regrets. That day at kislux , I found a bag that suited my temperament very well.
Oh I’m sure they do. I’m not saying this is the first leather pull tab. I’m saying I haven’t seen it done like this before. Plus I see about 50-100 wallets a year. If I forget a few, that’s just due to my bad memory 👍🏻

Great review. Usually find their wallets although very well done kind of chunky. I will be ordering this one now. Really nice design. Thanks.

This true with the older versions. But just like the redesigned Luxe, these new designs are thinner with less layers.
I agree with this comment 100% - its a reason I havent made the purchase yet.
I agree
I like that..its pretty nice!!!another epic review❤❤❤

Does the leather pull tab have any sort of protection against the scraping of all the card edges?
How well will this ride in front pockets? Would be cool to see next to something like a ridge wallet, just to get a good idea of size visually.
I carry it in my front pockets
Is it possible to path through a belt through the side? (Where the rivets are)
That space is just about 1.25". If you have a belt under 1", you might could swing it - thickness depending.
Looks pretty thick for a minimalist. But its sick.

Always interesting how tastes differ. A ring, button or loop would be an instant no for me
Did you watch the video though? There are options for a lanyard ring, AND. a D ring. I’m not understanding your comment otherwise
@ChrispyThings yep. I did not watch the whole thing through. I'll watch it all now. Please ignore the previous statement

This or Trayvax Contour?
Cowabunga.!

I used to think luxury could only be seen from a distance. It wasnât until I met kislux that I discovered that beauty is so within reach.
Open sea has leather pull tads
