Why not make door opening pull loop too? More weight loss. Also does a race car with full cage need door locks? Better yet, they do make carbon doors. The cost of them is about equal to the time you spent on the door and still way lighter.
The factory door pulls are plastic and weigh nothing, the door locks are handy when at shows or out and about. I would be impressed if you found some carbon doors:) + just replacing the doors would take the fun away from gutting the steel ones!
