Although the Sanskrit term ‘Chakra’, used in Tantric yoga or Kundalini yoga, has entered the western lexicon, it is not very well understood by the English-speaking world. It is important to understand that the concept of chakra cannot be studied and experienced in isolation by separating it from the Dharmic framework. Some western teachers and scholars go a step further and even try to connect it with Christianity. All these motivated attempts to assimilate or digest the concept inevitably lead to its misrepresentation which is reflected in the English translation of the word - ‘energy centre’. In this video Babaji and Rajiv discuss the meaning of the term chakra and erroneous nature of this translation.

Non translatables is a phenomenal idea. Rajiv Ji has equipped us with a powerful technique to wrest the discourse back into hindu hands.

We've been consuming the distorted nonsense for so long that such concepts usually arouse an esoteric fascination rather than a humbling realization. The way Shri Satyanarayan Das ji explained it within the realm of vedic philosophy humbled me rather than excite me. Thank you for this. Dhanyawad 🙏🏼

Awesome presentation indeed. Very educative. I first came to know about 'चकरा' while attending a seminar on Sahaj Yoga of Mata Nirmala Devi at Pune in 1993. This presentation has removed few more cobwebs.

Absolutely wonderful explanation. I am a yoga teacher myself and have been covering all limbs of yoga in my class. More recently posting the Yamas and Niyamas one by one to get the holistic view of Yoga, not just the asanas. But recently ran into someone at the front desk of my condo reading a book on Chakra healing. (American) I started asking her about what she was learning and she told me, how food relates to the chakra and balancing. Maybe partly true but she had no idea about yoga itself, not practiced anything, no other holistic knowledge. To me that was unsettling because I am very particular about maintaining the authentic tradition. Ayurveda is also related to Yoga. I know asana practice is not complete without the other limbs of yoga. I shared this wonderful video with my students to reinforce what we have been talking about. I also like to relate the grahas with the chakras. Enjoying all your non-translatables videos. Thank you so much for this great service!🙏🏻

Again its all beautifully interconnected , to start you can read Bhagvad Gita and in 2 nd Chapter Bhagvan Krsna is addressing us by teaching to Arjuna the knowledge about soul. In Bhagvad Gita Krsna primarily explains 5 topics i.e 1) what is Atma , 2) who is Isvarah or Paramatma, 3) Prakriti, Nature and Purpose of this creation 4) Karma how to perform karma , types of Karma, how does our Karma affect us and affect others, 5 ) kala Influence of time. And most importantly how to get out of the cycle of Birth and death cycle , and who can award that Moksha and what is the process, and the ultimate goal of Human life

(14/06/2021)*

Sir what are the books you recommend to read on indian history (before british reign) ?
Basically I feel there's so much attention on british india at times and muslim invasion we don't focus much on india before them (and i blame our education system for that too)
Please sir suggest some books in your next video or maybe here itself?

Now the phrase ‘Thou art Brahman or Atman’ is so clear to me.
The Bible also says ‘The Kingdom of God is within you.
Different levels of consciousness have different personalities and are ruled by different deities. Now, it is very clear why Hindu philosophy rightly refers to many Gods.
Excellent explanations! Our profound gratitude to Mr Rajivji & Swamiji Satyanarayana! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
