The Sanskrit word ‘prana’ is often translated into English as ‘breath’ or ‘vital air’. Breath signifies the air blowing between the mouth and lungs of a living being during respiration. Prana, however, is not just breath but something more profound and subtle which is responsible for activating the complete psycho-physical apparatus of the body, including the breath. Prana is the basic force of life supplying energy to the mind as well the body. In this video Babaji and Rajiv explore the concept of ‘prana’ and help us understand the shallowness involved in translating ‘prana’ as ‘breath’.

Indian psychology, Indian spiritual sciences are very deep must be rediscovered by practice and inner realisation.
मल्होत्रा सर आपकी सोच, विचार और सुदूर विदेशों में बसे भारतीय लोगों को जो भारत से जोड़ने का कार्य किया गया आपके द्वारा बहुत ही सराहनीय है। अगर इस वीडियो को हिंदी में भी रूपांतरित कर दिया जाए तो आपकी कृपा होगी क्योंकि बहुत लोगों के समझ में आसानी से आ जायेगा।🙏🙏🙏

I think prana can be understood as 'Nutrients ' that is oxygen from air ,vitamins minerals from food , solar energy that is required for functioning of biological clock as hormonal secretion is linked to this biological clock
Wow, great explanation
Thank you so much

Its the supreme who gives प्राण । प्राणावै ब्रह्मा। Enlightening video 👌
Prana is Information carrier (energy potential) Which is made personal in Heart, to make Name & Form. It thus is the "Personality power" to act with strength. Strength from food & power from Breath. Food is memory with Gravity. Power is to carry this memory / body for the Heart. Heart is mind (Chitta). So, prana makes identity & Energy Or Person & Act. Anna in body is Atma, Prana in Heart is Iswara. It's IT in various dimensions. Above all, IT is image, the Brahma, in Intellect.
Beautiful
Would creating Panchangs according to American seasons and geography encourage or help more Americans to understand and follow Sanatani way of life?
Very right! My interpretation, Prana => oxygen + photon
At 10.03 , a very interesting point.

It is question of spirit. West has always the spirit to commercialize everything, so they also look at the answer from that point of view, but hindu view to look at the things in totality.
Yes prana present in food, thats y food prana touch our prana..
Prana literally means "pra" or "Before" (pre = pra) + "na" which means "on"; literally as "before on".
Sir,
Not understood properly. Need to elaborate, what is arma, chitta, prana etc
Is prana=jiva?
Sir PRANAAAA kya hindi me PRAAN hai???

I hope while teaching Vedic concepts in your books and presentations, the word Hindu or Hinduism is not used. It's not a Sanskrit word. As you know the word Hindu was created by the Arabs. The Sanskrit word for the people of our Vedic Civilization is Arya (noble person in Sanskrit). The word Hindu is also divisive. Fo you agree,?
