    • @BlackburnBigdragon
      @BlackburnBigdragon 5 років тому

      To give you guys an idea, when I started, this was back in the 80's. My very first setup utilized a guitar, a cheap junk Casio keyboard, a crap junk chord organ I found at a garage sale, a Commodore 64.. as a musical instrument and sometimes as a drum machine, a stereo in my bedroom that had a double cassete deck where I would take tapes, record a snippet of a rythm or sound from another tape, then go back and replay that snippet, and recording that snippet again, and also making endless sound effect tapes. I got so good at this that I actually made good drum and rythm tracks this way by ear. It was pretty much making a mash up.. by ear.. and occasionally by sticking stereo speakers on my bed, facing downward on top of a microphone with pillows over each end. in order to mix the two channels because I didn't have a mixer at the time. Those were... expensive. Haha! Who had studio equipment money when they were teenagers in the 80's?

    My band was a mix of "the beginner" and "cold and trve" LOL!!! 😂 the "too much rhythm" reminds me of craft (but is too much rhythm a bad thing though?) And the "Sloth" reminds me of pretty much all intros or breakdowns of Orthodox black metal. The thrashy ones all reminded me of Tsjuder. Great job! Spot on lmao!

      Too much Rhythm is not a bad thing. But if a song is completely with that riffing, it's not Black Metal. You know? We need blastbeats to be trve :D

    I like the blackened dyads (two note riffs), and the Atmospheric riffs (plus the reverb part was excellent).
