@XasthurMalefic overkill, exodus, megadeth, testament is pure thrash. Bathorys self title is black metal, but has a rock n roll sound to it hence why I called it black n roll.

Btw, other good black n roll bands (or at least they have been known to mix black metal, rock and punk on more than one occasion): Later Darkthrone, Satyricon, Taake, Carpathian Forest, Impaled Nazarene..
I wonder, would Impaled Nazarene‘s „Absence of War“ album also qualify as black‘n‘roll? 🧐
Not that category matters or anything, it‘s just that this album did not really strike me as black metal per se back then when it came out. And I absolutely love this album to this day.
His song sounds like thrash guitar, punk drums and black metal vocals with some hardcore punk vocal flourishes.

Stuff as you could see in many European thrash metal band that become to go forward the first forms of black and death. For example Sodom, Celtic Frost, kreator. Black metal is a too specific subgenre to be blend with other styles without loose his identity. Especially if these other styles represent bigger categories which subgenre as black metal belong to. What I want to say is that genres as black metal was born by a form of specialization inside other genres and this specialization is that charaterised them. I hope I've been clear...

So I got couple questions for you sir...
1. If you would have the opportunity to start your own black or death metal band ( the genre is up to you ) and you could get any known musician or you could make an all star band of your choice...which musicians ( dead or alive ) would you take for each instrument?
2. If you would have the opportunity to sit a whole night in a bar with a person of your choice ( dead or alive and not necessarily a musician )...drinking beer and ask him questions untill the sunrise...wich beer would you choose and who would it be?
