We received so many questions about our online method so we thought we'd post a whole video about an online analysis compared to an in-person one.
We are two colour analysts from the Italian Image Institute of Milan and the Academy of Professional Image of Melbourne.
Our tools come from the Institutes where we studied.
We also constantly integrate our tools with more options, in order to create our own unique collection of drapes and offer the best service to our clients.

A colour analysis session is a once-off experience to discover your colours for life.
A palette is a collection of colours that emphasise your natural chromatic characteristics, making you look radiant and healthy. Colour analysis identifies your personal palette by examining your natural characteristics (undertone, intensity and value).
A colour analysis session will make you discover something new about yourself and give you the knowledge to shop less and better and to improve your wardrobe and style.

It amazes me how one color looks good until you compare it with another color that looks better! Like the black vs navy comparison in this example. When they first tried the black, it looked very good to me. But then once they showed navy and compared it, the navy was a standout winner. The process of elimination goes such a long way in these analyses!

Yes, so tricky for those of us with warm/olive overtones but cool undertones. I recently heard that Dior now has foundation for olive skin tones, but I've never tried or even seen them so I can't say if they're good. I gave up on foundation long ago because of this color matching struggle, none ever looks right on me.

Thank you so much for showing this analysis! As a very fair cool olive lady, I struggled so many years to know whether I was a deep or a cool winter. Information available on the Internet can be quite tricky sometimes: I've read so many times that cool winters had to have clear green or blue eyes, so it excluded my warm hazel eyes. Yet I recently came to the conclusion navy worked better than black on me (although it's a pretty match too) and start to switch my basics from black to navy. I find it softer, more refined, yet empowering because we don't often see a total navy look on people with beautiful fabrics (velvet, satin...). My only remaining question is about jewelry and white: I always get the feeling silver and optic white make me look very green and are too overpowering. I wear gold metals and soft white because of a little softness infused in my skin. Champagne or very light beigy-gold is even better if I want to highlight. I can't explain why, maybe silver and white bring forward too many green?
Also: I'd love to watch a video explaining how to play with colours (analogous, contrast, color blocking or monochromatic), or how to incorporate colours that are not the best match in an outfit but making it work (which I do with icy ones: not close to the face but contrasting with deep colours or within a pattern with deep background).

I'd made several DIY attempts, fiddling around with my camera settings and with Photoshop to get my fabric and lipstick drapes represented as realistically and consistently as possible on camera. But I still struggled to see what looked better. With my (standard) analysis, Giulia and Alessandra pointed out the specific color comparison that showed I was cool rather than warm. It was so obvious when I gave it a try, even with digital drapes! I never really gave cool colors a fair chance before, but I've gotten so many compliments now that I'm wearing them. A wonderful video and interesting to see how you both work. As a graphic designer I deal with colour every day and every project. My partner is a photographer and so colour is of interest to the both of us. We both have our monitors colour calibrated which means that what we see on screen is as accurate as can be. Most of my projects are for print which use CMYK inks to achieve different colours. Monitors are RGB which will come close to the CMYK values. I know that most people don't have colour calibrated monitors and so I wonder what colours others see when they view your colour analysis. And when you recommend specific colours to people, do you provide them with Pantone colour numbers? Adding in fabric colour values will also be different from CMYK and RGB - colour can get complicated! 🙂

Great video! When I got my colour analysis online, the process was a little different, but yesterday I wanted to compare some colours for a flamenco garment I'm buying, and I decided to do the exact same process you do with the photo. I'm so glad that I did it the right way!

I loved this!!! So fun. I smiled so much during the run into the room to reveal both analysis. So good!
I also love hearing your thoughts on what you see between the colors and in the skin tone. I’ve held up so many different colors of shirts and towels against my skin trying to determine my own undertone and season.
I need to book an online for sure. ❤

Altough I myself cannot afford it at the moment, I think the prices are very affordable! I really hope to be able to get a personal analysys done one day. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it right!
