    CC Music: retropromenade... There are several reasons why it is important to test drive a vehicle before buying it:
    Comfort: A test drive allows you to get a feel for the comfort and ergonomics of the vehicle. You can see how the seats feel, how easy it is to reach the controls, and how well the vehicle handles on the road.
    Performance: A test drive allows you to evaluate the performance of the vehicle. You can see how it accelerates, how it handles turns, and how it feels on the highway.
    Visibility: A test drive allows you to check the visibility from the driver's seat. You can see how well you can see out of the front, sides, and rear of the vehicle.
    Features: A test drive allows you to try out the features of the vehicle, such as the audio system, navigation system, and other electronics.
    Peace of mind: A test drive allows you to make sure that the vehicle is the right fit for you before you commit to buying it. This can give you peace of mind and help you feel more confident in your decision.
    Overall, a test drive is an important step in the process of buying a vehicle, as it allows you to evaluate the comfort, performance, visibility, features, and overall suitability of the vehicle. Music by Karl Casey

    Good test drive video. I actually just bought (on 02/10/2021)a Corolla Hatchback, 6 speed, XSE in silver metallic with the black metallic roof, two tone option. I love the car. I feel the 6 speed helps make it sportier. I think the hatch has got to be roomier than a sedan's trunk and more convenient. Anyway I got the hatchback for the look. I love wagons (sport wagons) and hatchbacks. They just look better to me.

    I tested this car and I feel the same with the clutch. I did not like it... then i tried the 2020 sedan and for me it’s totally different, more pleasant. So I bought the sedan... I’m glad with the car. It’s a shame Toyota did not make the sedan XSE trim available in manual...

    I own a XSE Corolla Hatch with a 6 speed manual. It’s small and not crazy fast but it’s fun to drive. I actually enjoy my ride to work and purposely choose a winding road! It’s not a boring Corolla and it’s very inexpensive. It’s a no-brainer to me!

    Very informative test drive, just like a car's owner; unlike some others on UA-cam, really trying to abuse the car. Your 6th gear at 60mph and 2000rpm and details of shifting explanation are very helpful (use my formula i get around 2473 rpm at 70 mph). I plan to get one for my daily drive (I have another stick sports car) and let my two kids learn to drive a manual car. I've been comparing a few like VW Jetta, Golf, Honda Civic, Subaru Crosstrek and this one. I really like this one overall (long term reliability, N/A engine, mpg rating and Toyota brand) except the display screen on dash. Thank you Mike.

      @Jake Wheelie Manual cars have had this for....well since cruise control got introduced. At least european cars. In fact, they'll let you accelerate as well. You can set your cruise control to a really high speed, and it will engage as soon as you start off in 1st gear, fully accelerate, then it will cut power when you press the clutch and shift gears, and then engage the cruise control again accelerate.

    The intelligent manual works wonderfully. I use it a lot. The electronic park brake is painful. Crappy choice in a manual. Using the park brake to hill start is nearly impossible. It releases so fast, as soon as you tap the throttle in gear it releases. The car is also kinda difficult to heel toe properly too. Road noise is bad and the engine is quiet enough that you can’t really tell the rpm by sound. I miss rev matching consistently. The old truck was easier to drive at low speed. High speed driving (2gear and up) is super smooth though.

    • @Xachremos
      @Xachremos 4 роки тому +4

      You're not supposed to use it to hillstart though, thats what the brake hold is for. Ive never rolled, or stalled it on my driveway, which is pretty steep.

    electronic e-brake is nice and all... but it's an unnecessary technology that just add costs to the car. I'd much prefer that they have a manual e-brake + electronic hill start assist. Just so 20 years from now I don't have to worry about the electronic e-brake deciding to shit itself without any warning
