    Keep It Simple, Thanks Yamaha. Carburetor is Simple to work on, Jet to your Elevation if necessary.
    Drum Brakes on Rear are suitable, Less likely to get damaged by Rocks, Sticks.
    Use Down Shifting Of Motor For Braking. Never Use Front Brakes Off Road, Especially While Turning.
    If You Use Front Brake, Use Very Light Pressure.
    Only Improvements By Yamaha would be Kick Start & Larger Gas Tank. If Your Battery Is Low Or Electric Starter Doesn't Work, You Can Always "Jump Start" motor by KEY Switch On, Roll Down Hill, Pull In Clutch, Put In Second Gear, Pop Out Clutch. Been Riding Dirt Bikes Over Fifty Years & Raced Hare Scambles For 15 years.
    This Bike Is Not A Race Bike, Underpowered, But A Great Enduro Motorcycle.

      Actually a lot of changes from the 1980 that I had. They were not street legal with atv tires and a gear reduction. Geared like a goat and would go places an atv wouldn’t have a chance in.

      These were introduced in 1987. The BW's were before that. They are still low geared and great bikes for the hills!

    Still no kick starter. I know, some think there is no need for it. I always like having one just in case. I wish they would at lease make a run on a kit, so the ones wanting one. Could purchase one and not have to piece a over priced kit together. I'm sure there are a lot of rider's out there would buy one. Since the bikes don't really changes. The kits would work for almost all the years. Just my 2-cents. YAMAHA! If you follow this channel. Do a run on the parts and put together a kick starter kit as an option. Big, thanks and love the channel. Will be buying a 2025 either way.

    I’ve been getting about 82 mpg on my 2024 TW. You can lower the TW seat height by replacing the shock with the 05 V-Star 1100 rear shock ( part # 5KS-22210-60-00) that can be purchased on EBAY. I use the TW as my main means of transportation around town and my Harley Nightster for highway use.

    A great bike, glad it is kept simple, but we can all wish for more. Seems like more is all aftermarket. To be fair, to push it harder like you would with a bigger engine you'd quickly want better suspension.

    • @MOBStreet83
      @MOBStreet83  2 місяці тому

      Hey! Thanks for watching and for the comment! Yeah, ours are usually 65 but that means 85 to people apparently. I'd say the best cruising speed for the TW is 50-55. You can get a smaller rear sprocket to inch it up a bit, but you'll lose your grunt on the bottom end.

    Well - I guess I should thank you, but maybe not - I just purchased my first TW200 and pick it up next week. I found a 2019 (love the color better than the later models) for $4100 with 519 miles and looks brand new. I still can't belive these things are that expensive but that is the case for sure. I am 5' 10" and 235 lbs., have owned many bikes including my last bike, 1200 Triumph Scrambler XE but looking forward to the simplicity of the TW200. This will go in the back of the truck and travel with the wife and I when we take the RV out exploring. Seems odd that I have gone full circle and am excited about bombing around Montana and beyond with a 200cc motorcycle- LOL.

    • @MOBStreet83
      @MOBStreet83  3 місяці тому

      Hey John!! THANK YOU FOR THIS QUESTION!! I have also done "Top Speed" videos and this is something I bring up in them. Top speed doesn't mean jack. Depending on where you are and what you do to the bike with obviously alter your cruising speed. However, straight out the gate, stock mode, I would say that 50-55 is a good cruising speed. I honestly prefer between 45-50 but my father in law rode his back and forth to work every day for years and cruised 55 no problem. I hope that helps!

    How many miles will a TW200 engine last? I followed a guy online for a while and his blew up at less than 20,000 miles. I want a motorcycle engine on a small motorcycle that will last a really long time with high miles. I don't own a car. I use my 125 CC scooter for commuting and everything. I want something that can roll at 60 mph without straining the engine. Dual sport and good fuel mileage are important.

    • @MOBStreet83
      @MOBStreet83  19 днів тому +1

      I have seen some with more than 50k. It just depends on how you use them and how well you take care of it. This won't roll at 60 unless you change the sprocket set up.

    I absolutely despise a motorcycle with electronic BS all over it, People do not realize how much more wiring it takes to have all that crap on there, My 2017 Harley Ultra has to much for me. if I could take the radio out and put a glove box in its place I would do it in a New York minute. I am going to buy one of these TW200 soon because here in Texas like most places we have endless gravel roads to explore.

      A TW200 in Texas would a good time! I'd have to rig mine for Hog Hunting. That is one of my bucket list hunts and on the TW would be a lot of fun! I like my 1996 Fat Boy, it doesn't have any electrical at all!

    Way overpriced! Dealer fees and other BS like shipping and assembly make this $5900-$6200 when it shouldn't cost more than $4500.

      Had two dealers (in PA and CA) quote around $ 5060.00 OTD plus taxes to be paid in your home state. But agree. Should not be more than the amount you indicated.

      There for a couple of years I was seeing folks paying $7,000+ for them from dealers! I couldn't believe it. I think the MSRP is okay, but all the other things they tack on, I'm not a fan either.

      @@spencertheboxpitintexas I'm in Western PA and the lowest quote I got was $5861.83. They want $225 Dealer paperwork $80 Title fee etc. 6% sales tax $375 Destination $195 assembly!?? If I can buy one from Ohio Miller Motosports doesn't charge Destination or assembly. I told them I'm paying cash and not putting on the road this was a farm implement vehicle! So sick of the Government and BS.
