My wife and I just bought a pair of 25 TW200s from Cheyenne Motorsports in Cheyenne Wyoming. They have no dealer fees you pay MSRP and freight plus taxes out the door. There are even sequential serial numbers.
Nice man congrats! I've got a 2020 Tdub and will never let it go. I live in downtown Denver, go up to the mountains, ride trails and it's the little engine that could!
they are a great bike!! Especially for your homestead you're working on! They haven't changed much of anything but the color since 2001 and not a whole lot more before that!
@workinonitsteve it's a fun machine as well, but more street oriented. A bit flimsy with the turn signals but the power and suspension are dialed right out the gate.
that's a perfect explanation of the TW's capabilities. It's a machine that isn't subject to all the problems of the more "modern" bikes, loaded with all their electronic garbage. Simple, totally reliable, no frills motorcycle. (and yes, I own one.)
I just bought the 2025 at my local dealer. Bought it yesterday, first ride today. I have never had one before, but did do a test ride on a used 2024 a couple of weeks ago. I had narrowed it down to the Kiwa 230s and this bike. If I was riding the street a lot, I would definitely get the 230s instead, but since I own 2 Harleys, and have for 20 something years, I don't need another street bike. I bought the Tdub for woods riding, in places where, I don't feel comfortable riding my 4 wheeler or side by side and I can't get between the trees so wanted to try the single track, plus on the side hills, I worry about rolling over. I am thinking about going up to maybe even a 57 tooth rear sprocket, and possibly at ATV rear tire.
I think you made the right choice by getting the TW200! I have the KLX230S and I would choose my TW200 pretty much every time over it. The Tdub is great for just getting out and enjoying the trails. On my 2019 I have the 52T rear and the stock 14 front and it does great, I love it. I have seen guys with 65-70t sprockets and they just climb like crazy! If you wanna go that route check out Bradley Performance, they are awesome! www.bradleyperformanceproducts.net/?ref=bfjxsx34
Hi Mat, and thanks for the heads up. I'd say this year the TW looks a bit timmid in grey. If the bike is otherwise the same as previous years it'd be great if you could just swap the plastics and covers for another year's model. Or, thinking about it just re-paint it with your own motif. The TW200 is a good example of perfect design, like the shark and the crocodile it stopped evolving long ago, for a good reason, perfection doesn't need evolution ;)
You’re saying still have… like it’s exciting. It hasn’t changed at all since 2024, the price is still the same. However, that being said, I appreciate your enthusiasm for this great machine.
They actually haven't changed much of anything since 2001. But, yes I am very happy that they are still making the bike and that they haven't changed it up much at all.
Well, for those of us who know about the TW200, this is the same we've seen and heard before. However, there are plenty of folks who are still just learning about the TW and what it is. Here's to helping those who are just finding out about it.
mine seems happiest cruising at about 35. i know i am... i even went up a few teeth on the back. it will do 55 on the freeway with my 255 pounds on it though, but its not fun.
I was going to get one for a f around bike, the dealer had one with a broken brake bracket. It was taking them forever to get the part. I got a 300 L instead cause its more modern and has FI. They need to update the TW ...it can't go on carbed in a modern world whose gas is crap. Get rid of the drum, fi it, build it for another 40 years...
The TW200 is grandfathered in to the new regs. If Yamaha changes anything on it they will have to pay a ton for it. So, if they update it, it will be a full remodel
The stock one is there, but it isn't very tough....I like the one from Bradley Performance, Ricochet or Rocky Mountain ATV. www.bradleyperformanceproducts.net/product-page/tw200-hd-engine-skid-plate?ref=bfjxsx34
How much more $ would it add to it if Yamaha would just gone to a much simpler disc brake system and a weight saving plastic tank WTF cmon Yamaha! If you've never ridden one of these in the dirt /Mudd these do not ride like a regular dirt bike ,due to to wider tires it requires a little more effort to keep them pointed in the direction that you intend it to ! As a Lifetime dirtbike ride and motocross racer ,I didn't care for how it handled offroad .
A TW200 is like dating a fat chick and hoping she will actually follow through on her dieting plan, talks about it, but never actually does it. There are likely so many of us, just saying, change the instrument display, change the headlight, give me fuel injection, give me a rear disc brake, how about a 6th gear. Then you look behind it and see the XT250 and think, maybe Yamaha really doesn't want me to buy a TW200, they actually want me to buy something else and that's why they never change this bike from the 80s.
Just bought 2024 a month ago. Saved up 5 years for it. Very happy with it. Thanks for all the videos! God bless!
Sweet!! Congrats on the new bike! Next year hopefully you can make it to Tdub Fest!
I've got a '24 and man they're cool lookin, sometimes I just sit with a beer and admire it. Gotta do it now before I put some wear and tear on it lol
Nice!! Yeah, if you use them like I do, they don't stay that good lookin for long. 😂🍻
Ain’t that the truth. You can buy all the side panels and turn signals if you’re worried about scuff marks.
Yep, or if you wanna change the colorway a bit!
I'm legit doing the same thing right now 😂

I just saw them on there also!! Congrats on the new bikes. They are a good time for sure!

I put 40 miles on my 06 today. Changed my whole attitude. I love that they haven’t changed anything on them. Just a cool little bike.
they are a great bike!! Especially for your homestead you're working on! They haven't changed much of anything but the color since 2001 and not a whole lot more before that!
@ definitely fun to run around the homestead on. How is that scrambler treating you?

no frills, no bs.....just they way is should be!
Hi, I bought a 22 back in 22. It’s a great bike. Had a BW 200 back in 1986 and loved it. This tw will last me a lifetime.
Nice!! Did you see the BW throwback that Bradley Performance just did? It is awesome!
@@MOBStreet83 I did not,,,

Could just be my screen, but that doesn’t look like a 2025. That looks like a 1987 TW200.
Could be your screen. They added a front disk break in all those years.
I bought a 2025 a month ago. Clutch is horrible. Hope it gets better with miles and first oil change
Check you clutch spring on the left side if the bike. Sometimes those are off!.
87's were white and blue 😁
@@carolynslette6073 it does. i took mine back a lot claiming it was broken. gets better after the first oil change.
I bought my 2025 tdubs about a month ago now. Traded in my 2022 RE Himalayan and I'm loving the tdubs so much more.
Really?!? That's good to know. Congrats on the Tdub and I hope you continue to enjoy it!
2025 same as 2024. 🙂 Still beautiful!
This color is starting to grow on me
I can get up to 65 mph on mine with the 47 tooth rear sprocket. I also installed a kickstart.
That's what my father in law did as well. Where'd you get the kickstart from?
Sometimes, you can find all OEM parts at swap meets. Like Hay days!! Mid west USA. Minnesota, Wisconsin.

Great comment Tom!!
I loved my tw 200, the poor thing is so slow I grew gray hair riding it.
Well, I'm already gray haired so I'm not too worried. 😂

I have only seen the 225 engine installed in them. But, If I can find one that would be awesome!
Hahahaha. "It's here" as if something has changed in the last 30 yrs. Good job with the video. You really scooped everyone.

Hi Matt, do you recall how much over the MSRP are they getting?
Just curious.
Hey Michael! I didn't ask, I just remember they said they weren't charging the set up fee......sorry!
Do really have to have Malones name on it? Is it discounted?
Yessir! But it's a removable decal.
How much are they going for now?
You could pick up a 2024 for about 4800.
MSRP is $4,995
I'm in Kentucky 🤠
@@jamescunningham4180 Sounds like a road trip is in order
found quite a few '24s in CA for $4400 before tax and license.

I had a 2014 and loved it
They are great bikes for sure!
Albuquerque had two only 7600 out the door, for a 5000 dollar bike ?
That's more OTD than I paid for my $5,500 Scrambler 400x!
Where is the TW made today? Just curious I love this bike
They are made in Japan. They are a great bike. I love all three of mine.
When is the next Tdub fest?
Sept 2025

Carb is way better than FI. I dont want a bunch of computers and electronics to deal with. Much easier to clean the carb once a year if it needs it.

That's good to know! They are not so easy to find here in still.
Rad!
Thanks Man!! Nice work on the subs, your channel is doing good!
Can you slow time down please, I just got my 2024.
No worries! You're 24 is the same as the 25. Just like my 2021 is the same as yours, just a different color.
I love my 2024 TW….
But, come on Yamaha, at least change up the color scheme. Give us something new to look forward to!!
They usually keep the same colorway for two or three years before changing them.
At 140lbs I get 86mpg on a topped off tank and can cruise at 70mph with premium.
You're doing way better than I am!
Is that the basketball player Karl Malone
Yep, it is. He owns a few powersports dealerships here in the state

I'd be willing to buy one, but I'm paying all the stupid fees.
These guys aren't charging the set up fee right now, but yeah, we all had to pay the fees for buying new.

One of these years, Yamaha is going to surprise me with fuel injection; I just know it.
Maybe they will!
Yamaha is getting lazy, not even changing the color. I bought the 2024 TW200 and it’s the same bike as the 2025.
