  • Yamaha TW200 Bike Build: rmatvmc.link/yamaha-tw200-bik...
    Since 1987, the TW200 has had a place in Yamaha's dual sport lineup and has been proven to be one of the most reliable and user friendly motorcycles in its class. The TW200 is no stranger to the off-road world with its smooth power delivery, wide knobby tires and best of all, it's street legal! Take a closer look as Chase goes over a brief history of the TW and then moves onto the parts we added to our Yamaha TW200 to make it more comfortable for a bigger rider and better suited for adventures.

    I did NOT know there was a longer shift lever for "bigfoot"!!! Just ordered it from you, and maybe I'll be able to get my size 13 Dakars under the lever now. These little bikes are absolutely killer fun!!!!

    One small point of correction; Chase misspoke that the rear rack was aluminum but it is in fact steel. That aside, it's the most sturdy rack I know of for the TW and fits really well. I'd also like to point out that the Tusk Traverse Panniers are a perfect fit. Can't recommend this setup enough. Thanks for all the TW support, RMATV.

    I had a 2006 up until a couple of years to go. Folding shifter lever and pegs are a must for hunting in the tight trails. Also, you can buy a big back sprocket to gear that thing down to walking pace in 2nd gear. I miss that bike and am looking to buy another. I just wish they would go to a fuel injection model.

    Great video and what a great bike! It was really high on my list when I was downsizing, but I ultimately went for XT250 + Suzuki VanVan combo. XT250 is just extremely capable. And VanVan is kind of in the same group as TW200 for me, just VanVan is better looking (to my eye) and it has injection. But I may still add a TW200 later on - it's just too good. And that windshield makes it look way better.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  11 місяців тому +1

      Unfortunately there are not many easy options to lower the TW. The easiest would be to shave the seat height down and lower the forks in the clamps/adjust sag in the rear shock. Other than that, you're probably looking at a custom shock which some people have done. There are some really good forums talking about this topic that would be worth checking out.
