This was my first machine. Got it when I was 16, before I even bought my first car. This bike will forever have a special place in my heart! Proud Supermoto owner now!
@TDubsKid I haven't read through the comments yet but wanted to mention that the helmet lock latch is meant to go through the D rings of the helmet straps. Securing your helmet as you did in the video means all you have to do is unstrap the helmet and it's stolen, defeating to whole purpose of the lock. In all other respects, your video was absolute gold sir!
I would also mention, this bike isn't just for smaller lighter people like some think. I am 5'11" and 260 lbs, and I love my TW. I have owned a bunch of bikes, and the TW is my favorite.
ROFLMAO!!!! Love you videos bud. That crash compilation and the sarcastic remark of dunno why my battery leaked left me rolling with laughter. Keep up the good work man.
haha thanks man, glad you ejoyed that, I thought it was a good way to explain it. my tw may know the dirt a little to well. thanks again ill keep the videos rolling out :)
I'm 64 years old with worn out knees and also 6ft tall and 260 lb. so the lower seat height was a great selling point for me. It reminds me of the 1970's trail bikes I loved as a kid. Mine is a 2018 and I love it. TDubs you the man love your videos informative and entertaining.
Tdubskids is the most underrated youtuber by far! He puts out great content, is informative, easy to follow "how to videos" and the production value is unmatch. He has a great personality and energy that comes across in every video. Thanks for letting us share in your adventures.
Actually, attractive chicks that are outdoorsy athletic types would love to ride this bike...butcha gotta have one to teach'em how to ride. And she can hang on to ya when you take her out to the riding range!
Just got my 2015 tw with only 100 miles on it. I think it's a perfect bike for small towns and farms as well as the woods so it fits me just fine. Rode it in pouring rain, mud, street, gravel, no problem. A great all a round bike. Even hauled a few groceries.
Hey Kiddo. Hello from a 48 year old dude, who just picked up a TW and learning everything he needs from you. Love your channel. Keep up the good work. #Respect.
Great review. I have always wanted a TW since I was a teen, now in my 50's I have one and have not stopped exploring since. This is the best thing to have in the Yukon... no place is off limits
Excellent video! Didn’t have to scroll through a lot of bullshit or listen to crappy music; concise, pertinent information, the best video I’ve seen on this topic.
I have a 1989 TW200 and I LOVE IT! I am 6’3 260 and it performs amazing! It only has 5400 miles, and only thing I have to do to it is get a new stator for it.
nice that's pretty cool, glad it's working for you! yeah those older ones didn't have as high quality electrical components as they do now, but other than that they are great bikes
Nothing makes me wish I was 18 again more than watching this vid. As an old dude, the thought may cross my mind when I see sexy girls in music videos or young guys doing athletic things that I used to be able to do. But this kind of video really hits home to me. Yes, nothing stopping me from doing this now but I mean just that state of being and that stage of life - to be a young man with a TW200 or some trail bike, using it as your main transport, exploring on weekends. Enjoy it young fella, it's a golden time to be alive.
Oh man! I was thinking so hard about if I want TW as my second bike or not... After reading your comment, I'm getting it ❤ I hope you still able to nurture your inner child regardless the age. God bless 🙏
What's up tdubskid. I would like to take a moment to say thank you. Your content has inspired me to purchase a tdub about a year ago. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a new one but I found a nice used '13 a couple states over and got it. I've put about 5k miles on it and regularly use your videos to help me maintain it. I've got a 50 mile commute to get to the Base I work at, so the miles add up pretty quickly. I put a 45 tooth sprocket on the back and just roll along a 55mph. You've also inspired me to go motocamping and I've thoroughly myself. Thank you, again for your content and inspiration! Mike
Hey there, no problem, glad I could inspire you. congrats, no worries you probably saved a bit with buying used and 13 isn't too old. glad the videos have been helpful. very nice, you actually get to ride it a lot, that's rad. glad your enjoying it. no problem, ride on!
Got a used TW to replace my totaled F700GS we carried RVing. Love it as a get around bike when camping. On a 7000 mile RV trip put over1k on TW just running around but the wife could not go to so went back to a F800GS and was going to sell the TW but she said keep it you'll miss it, So we have 2 bikes to choose from.
gottcha, sucks your f700gs got totaled. nice! the tw200 seems like a great bike to take on the RV. the more bikes the better! always good having options
I have never subscribed to anyone before...but I did to this guy! What a great kid! I love this guy! Honest , fun, entertaining, educational. I could listen and learn from him all day. I love that he has over 10k miles and no complaints. I just sold my Rokon and my mountain E-Bike. This kid has me sold on him and this bike. signed, 58 year old Fish Fisher of Bozeman Montana
hey thanks! I'm very honored to be your first subscribed channel. I got over 16,000 miles on it now, only had some frame cracks that I was able to weld with no issues but I ride it hard. Ride safe and have fun 😀
1986 for Christmas I got a TW200 when I was 15. Upgrade from my old 1979 XR 75 I had since I was 11. It IS without a doubt the tank of bikes. It's tough as hell. And while it wasn't the best bike to do jumps with it more than made up for that in the mud or trekking through unexplored terrain like thick woods, rocks and thick sand that leave other bikes stranded. My friends at the time rode an XT 200 Yamaha, DR 200 Susuki a CR 125 Honda and an XL 100 Honda. The only bike mine would beat in a drag race was the XL 100, but top speed was pretty close to the same topping out at about 70 MPH. The other bikes topped out around 85 to 95, but 99% of our riding was on dirt sandy roads, fields, mud and beaches along the Choptank river so I'd guess our average speed was maybe 45 MPH at most so the TW never really had a problem keeping up. In the thick sand rock climbing and mud the other bikes had no chance of keeping up with the TW. It's a really fun bike with more pro's than con's. Easy to work on, pretty much bullet proof engine and it takes a beating most bikes can't handle. I'd recommend the TW200 to anyone from beginner to expert rider, it offers a lot of fun no matter your riding skill.
+preston121068 that’s awesome! I would have loved one at 15 years old haha yeah not great for jumps especially bad at landing them. Yeah such a great bike just to explore all types of terrain. Makes sense it is a pretty heavy bike and the big tires add more rolling resistance. Haha that’s rad just depends on where your riding. True that such a good dependable bike that will take you anywhere
Just clicked on this video for something different to watch. You,young man are a natural when it comes to youtube reviewers. TW200 is definitely the most versatile and fun motorcycle out there.
I just wanted to thank you for all the passion and dedication you put in your videos. The “how to”s are so well done and clear and helpful more than any workshop manual. And this no a compliment, it’s just the objective truth. But most of all thanks for make a 50 Year’s old guy like me want to get on the bike again after a bad difficult period of my life. Keep it up!
+giusext hey thank you, that means a lot, it’s good to know people are finding the how to videos helpful. Riding and making videos really helped me after a hard time in my life. I’ll keep it coming
These little bikes are a blast. They would be my go-to if I had a camper and needed a bike to just get around on and do some light trail riding. Super comfy off roading with as well.
I took my safety course on a TW200, and it's a really fun little bike. Also, you mention buying tyres for $60-$70, which is crazy, because I run Bridgestone Battlax BT46s on my Suzuki GS750 for about $200 each.
I love when smart people like you make reviews because they are very helpful! I'm looking to get one of these to use around my families farm. Thanks for the amazing review!
ive been binge watching videos trying to figure out which will be my first motorcycle or moped... two days ago i placed my order for a tw200. your library of videos - primarily this one - were instrumental in that choice. thank you for doing these. ive never had a motorcycle and this really helps take the mystery out. smiley face from a farmer in hawaii. :)
I got my first bike last year, and its a liter sports bike. I even took it on dirt roads and stuff like that, trying to figure out what kind of riding is most fun and enjoyable. And its cool, its definitely nice to have all the power to do whatever you want, but most enjoyment I ever had, was just rolling around on country roads without speeding that much or at all. Made me understand that just seat time and riding all year long without problems is most important, rather than few bursts of adrenaline when your bike finally runs right
I just bought my first TW today. It's a 2013 with 800 miles. Happy as all get out! I'll use it on the many gravel road around here. I'll keep my cruiser, as well, for highway use. Today the teens and I had a blast riding it.
I'm in the Harley Davidson riding class this weekend. Once I emerge with an endorsement, I'll go buy a new tdub next week! Your videos are what sold me on the bike, so thank you for that!
nice! don't tell anyone but I almost failed my msf class lol I remember going to get my tdub after I got my endorsement, it was so exciting. no problem!
Great video. I am not even looking at a TW200 any more but i still watched the video. I quite enjoyed it. The battery section and the crash compilation were a nice touch. Instant sub.
an excellent little bike. mine is a 96 model and done 30,000 km a very reliable bike just starts first time every time, the only thing i can pick on is i wish it had another 50 cc
Just bought my neighbours Japanese import TW200, has 20,000km on it, excellent condition given it was made in 1989!!! It has a kick starter as well as electric. Cost me about 1400 USD. These are almost impossible to buy second hand here in Australia - no one seems to sell them! Great video btw. Bought the bike for the day I get myself a farm to putt around on.
nice! that's cool not too many miles, just barely lived in the 80's, that bike is older than me! yeah not as popular in some countries unfortunately. thank you! sounds like a plan
Got a Suzuki VanVan 200 because of the fuel injection and a big bitch seat (for commuting mostly). But the TW200 looks a lot more capable off-road. They both use the same size tires. Did some off-roading with the VanVan, and you're right, that front tire is a bit slippery but did the job. Great video!
Find the owners manual for your TW200 here: www.yamahamotorsports.com/motorsports/owners-manuals check out the new TW200 here: www.yamahamotorsports.com/dual-sport/models/tw200
@@cudaker I updated it you just have to put in the info for your bike, the one for the 2014 tw200 just disappeared for some reason. might be some differences depending on the year
I agree, I like to be forced to take the back roads too and that's what inspired me to get the new bike I did.. I finally got one! For the last year I've saved and planned to get the Yamaha 660 tenere but yesterday that all changed. I went to a vintage bike show and test rode and bought a ... Drum roll! .. Royal Enfield classic 500 in army green, I got a great deal on last year's showroom model for $3000 ..2 grand off a brand new bike! so I couldn't say no. So with the money I saved I've ordered the metal panniers and crash bars and upgrade all the lights and put a big windshield on it for touring.. it's gonna looks sick ! Like a world war 2 despatch bike , they are slow as hell and vibrate like fuck but so fun to ride , top out at 60mph so all back roads for me from now on and our back roads are different from yours.. I think y'all call'em single tracks ? haha so yes I've got some adventures ahead for me fishing and camping on this little beauty . Gets delivered Wednesday and I can't wait!
for sure, back roads are the bomb! oh wow that's a neat bike, not bad getting 2k off as well. should be an interesting to go on some adventures with it. you will have to show us in a video once you get it. ride safe my friend
buying a 2005 not this friday but next. i owned one that was a 87 needed alot of work and i sold it to get a car. was rainy season in hawaii and had to commute to work across island. loved this bike super excited to get on and so far loving your vid. you got my sub and will ask any questions you seem very versed. thanks for your input your vid and your time keep killing man you got my sub
nice! sounds good, yeah the older ones usually are not in the best of shape. that's awesome, hawaii seems like such a cool place to ride! I bet, such a good feeling when you ride again, i'm going motocamping tomorrow and can't wait :) much appreciated! thank you
Great bike & "playground" you have at your beckoning, son ! I feel your JOY, but would want you to "dial it back a couple of clicks" when you`re in the outback so you & your Yamaha TW 200 make it to your 30th birthday without a major injury...Me thinks you`re having WAY too much FUN ! RIDE ON, safe-er-ly !!
thank you! I have had some pretty bad injuries in the past already, most were not from riding though but skateboarding. but yeah best to take it easy especially when i'm riding alone. thanks again :)
Was at Tim Horton watching this ..couldn't hold myself laughing at the Battery crashing thing. Always a pleasure to watch you. Hey and I'm from Qc,Canada also.
Much love from montreal 514 steez. Id be half empty without my tw's. You cant go wrong with an easy riding beauty. Stay classy and happy riding out there boys
A good review of the bike. For now , I have a Chinese knock off, but can still use alot of info from your videos. When I can, the TW200 looksa like it would be just what I'm looking for.
... I started riding in the dirt in 1969 on a Honda Mini Trail. Raced motocross, (Yamaha and 250 Maico's) Hare Scrambles, Enduro's and Dave Coombs 100 Mile Series (before there was a GNCC that I am aware of) Sold my last dirt bike, a 1982 IT 175 (that I loved) in 1985. Got married in 1984, Bought a house in 1986. Started fishing light tackle in the Chesapeake bay tributaries and I am addicted to that. Bought a HD 1200 Sportster in 2007 and I am seriously considering selling it to get a TW200 and get back to some dirt. Your videos have a LOT to do with that though process.
nice! that's so rad. those older bikes are so neat. cool my dad is from the Chesapeake bay area. the TW would make a great fishing bike. glad to hear, best of luck
The Suzuki Van Van was first introduced in '72 (as the RV model) and more than 10 years later Yamaha decided to jump on the "big tire" fun bandwagon. 2019 was the last year for the Van Van but the TW continues to be offered. I think 3000 miles between oil changes on a 200cc single cylinder dual sport is way too long. The oil is beat up by the transmission and loses viscocity pretty quickly. I'd recommend 1500 miles if mostly road riding and 1000 miles if 50% or more off road. Oil changes are super cheap insurance to help it live longer. I really enjoyed your video -- thanks for sharing!
oh wow did not know that, interesting darn I also didn't know they stopped making the van van. yeah I agree, I change mine between 1000-1500 yeah I want the engine to last as long as possible, I really beat the heck out of it too. glad you enjoyed it!
I change the oil in my Yamaha XT225 every 1000 miles. Small air cooled engines are super hard on oil. Plus I ride in hot weather in the dusty AZ desert. I never cared for handguards, they get in my way. Back in 1970 when I started riding off road (at age 11) there was no such thing as hand guards. I carry an extra set of levers. I would like to trade my XT225 for a TW200, but I seriously doubt my ability to fix a flat tire on the TW200 out in the middle of nowhere. I generally get 2-3 flats a year on my XT225. You have a great channel. I have been watching it for quite a while now.
I agree, 1000 miles is good if your hard on these engines. it's cheap and doesn't take much. I love my handguards but to each his own. yeah the tubes on these things are huge. I can get the rear tube off with just the tools I carry though. thank you!
Big fan of the channel. Just got a 2021 that I’ve slowly been modding. Big question I have is “How are you getting such good gas economy?” I’ve gone through two tests to see where I hit my reserve tank. First was 65 miles, second was 60. I’m racking my brain to factor in all things that would influence my economy. 1st: Payload I’m 175 lbs, riding gear 25 lbs, backpack 15 lbs. 2nd: Fuel & Air Intake I’ve got the stock jet, stock air filter, and have tinkered with the pilot screw to optimize startup and throttle response (1.75 turns out from bottom). Both tests were at 5000’ - 6500’ above sea level. 3rd: Type of Riding Both tests were about 50/50 off-road/on-road. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks for the content TDubsKid and don’t stop killing it!
hey glad you enjoy it! congrats on your new TW might because I weigh only 120? I ride around that altitude and higher. have never touched my carb though hmm I found it gets the best gas mileage going slower off road. no problem, thanks for watching!
I'd love to start a bike company based on the philosophy of the tw...I'd make a 250, 450 and 650. Discs front and back and better suspension. Other than that, I'd keep it the same
Great video. My first bike was a TW200 and I still miss it. I blew it up going down the interstate one day. I have a 1900cc yamaha raider now but I still think that ole tw200 was the most fun I have had out of all the bikes I have owned. One thing I would like to add, it can hold a ton of weight. If you can pile or strap it on the tw200 can carry it and with its low gears can climb hills with it too. Makes it great for camping.
thanks! and nice it's such a great first bike, it was my first street legal bike. dang that sucks, I have heard of someone doing something similar, keeping the throttle pinned at 75 and stock gearing 🔥💥💥 tha'ts for sure, I don't feel much of a difference when i'm hauling a bunch of camping gear haha
Damn... my brother is thinking about buying a TW 200. I just shared a link to this video with him. I told him he'd love the TW2OO after watching it. Fact is, I'm kinda (definitely) thinking of getting one too after watching. Very nice video!
I had a 89' TW 200 and I loved that thing. Took off roading alot. I got a job at a motorhome manufacturer and the mechanic there fell in love with it. So I sold it to him. He fixed it up nice. About 60 mph on the hwy was all I would do. It was sure awesome off-road. Man it was tough too. That was the bike I learned to ride a bike on. So I crashed it a few times. It could sure take a beating. Sure miss it.
nice! it's great for off road. that's awesome, yeah 60 is about the most I will go too on it. haha yeah it just keeps going it seems no matter what you put it though. such a great bike to learn on for sure, really helps build confidence
Excellent bike review. Plenty of personal "real world " opinions from your own use instead of a bunch of stats that don't mean anything to a viewer. keep up the good work.
thanks! yeah stats can get kinda boring and are easy to find anywhere. thought I would share my 2 cents after riding the tw200 for such a long time. thanks again :)
HAHAHHA I'm Ben from Quebec Canada, I did end up buying the TW200 and do not regret as it was an amazing first bike, next summer however I am getting a Dr650 as 200cc is not enough for me since I need to commute highway speeds to get to trails.. I don't do any narly offroad stuff mostly fire roads and the occasional single track. I am 6'2 and having ridden my friends dr650 I can totally handle it. Thanks Tdubskid!!!
Hi Ben! glad your enjoying your TW200. such a great bike to learn on. makes sense if you need to ride a long ways to the trails. seems like the Dr650 will be great for you :)
8 min in, red helmet kid - truer words were never said, kid is wise beyond his years 😂 sadly my dog passed away the same month i bought my tdub. honestly getting out and riding (and maybe a bit of the fear of dying on it lol) really helped push me through the sadness. it's really hard to be sad on the tdub, so bring some joy to your life, and go out and ride ❤
This really brought back memories. I had a '93. I think it cost about $2200 new. I liked the look w/ the oversized rear tire. You're right about the front tire. I dumped that thing so many times in the woods when the front tire slipped. It slipped on something on the pavement once too. I was going about 40 mph, the front end slid to the side, and I high sided onto my back and head, and ended up with a few injuries. After that I sold it. I had some fun with it though before that though. Despite the lower saddle, the center of gravity seemed a little high for stability when woods riding. I've had several bikes, but that one was awkward for me to pick up for some reason. I forget how many teeth the rear sprocket had stock, but I'm thinking maybe 60? I wanted to improve highway gearing, so I machined a new sprocket with 52 teeth I believe. I don't remember exactly now, but I had calculated the ratio difference I wanted. I machined one b/c the dealer couldn't get smaller sprockets. It helped a lot for the road, improved mpg, lowered rpm considerably, and still had enough power for the woods, at least for me.
oh cool, wow much cheaper back then haha. yeah the stock front tire is not the best for sure, I like the stock rear tire a lot personally. dang sorry to hear you got hurt like that. interesting, I haven't really rode many other bikes so hard for me to really know. the newer ones have a 50 tooth fron sprocket, but the new ones have different gearing. yeah I had to gear mine higher so I can ride on the street to get to the trails haha.
Hi TDubskid, I recently purchased a TW200 and I'm really excited. Fantastic video btw. I also watched your oil change video as my bike is getting close to 600 miles. Thank you for all the videos I'm about to watch!!
Great video, just bought battery for my B M , K75 and you have to have a sealed unit now , so much better and safer . For a small bike it offers a lot , I would love one the fun you can have , you've proved it can be achieved, watched people on postie bike doing great miles ,
Nice man! I’ve got a 91’ TDub I rode from central Cali to BC and back, a few years ago, before the carb crapped out (previous owner somehow managed to break the casting internally and my fix failed..). Finally getting around to bring it back to life. Your channel was a great find. Thanks
thank you! that's awesome, the year before I was born! dang that sucks, did you get a newer type carb, I think they are better better than the older ones. cool glad your enjoying the videos no problem, thanks for watching!
TDubsKid Nice! Year after I was. Haha! Yeah, I converted it to a new Mikuni carb and made a custom boot that takes a k&n air filter (hidden in the existing air box). Need to finish some cable routing and we’ll see if it actually works...
I remember seeing this bike every day when I walked home from school! Some guy in an apartment building owned it back in the 90's.I remember thinking that the rear tire size would be great for doing wheelies! Always wanted to ride one!!
When you say you had an issue with the stock battery and that the electrolyte "kind of leaked out over time", and you're not sure why that is? And another thing is that it can take a beating. I laughed so hard of all the short clips of the crashes. "It's like a clock that keeps on ticking". That laughter trained my abs for a whole week. It made my day. Your funny man, good sense of humor. Bless your heart. Keep it up and keep it coming.
I miss my TW ! It was my first duel spot bike. I just picked up a WR250R and making it forest/ road worthy. Keep up the great funny videos. Around Bend Oregon out !
Have been learning from your videos for years--very helpful. TW200s are great-- they do everything I wanted it to do. It's not fast; not sexy, but so much fun!! Thanks TDubsKid!
Because of your videos I'm trying to buy one of these things now and resurrect my motorcycling career. Who knows if I can actually find one to buy?? We will see. Good job man.
FANTASTIC T-Dub review! Every rider should own a T-Dub as a second or third motorcycle for all those times you need something easy, simple, and reliable. My T-dub sees more riding time as an every week rider than the BMW R1150GS ADV and the 1944 German Wehrmacht DKW NZ-350/1.
Damn, I would have expected this level of quality from a channel with ten times the subscribers. Keep it up my man, your work is great.
thanks man, I appreciate that! ill keep the videos coming.
True Lucas. Quality, prod value and editing is fantastic
So f tru
This was my first machine. Got it when I was 16, before I even bought my first car. This bike will forever have a special place in my heart!
Proud Supermoto owner now!
nice! I wish I had one at 16, it's a fun little dualsport. nice! dualsports are cool
I run a 500exc triple sport setup (sumo, enduro , snowbike) but somehow I still want a TW200 as a second bike.
I have owned a bunch of bikes, and the TW is my favorite.
hey thanks for adding that, I have heard of a lot of bigger people who have a tw200 and enjoy it. such a fun little bike
I'm 6'6 270, I have been road racing motorcycles most of my life. I love my TW. lol. I dont feel like it's too small.
Nice to know I'm pretty big too and I'm really considering this bike . 6'4" 270 lbs .
nice, my friends tell me they feel like a circus bear riding it haha
Whats the seat height ??
The crash segment was stellar! I agree that the li-ion battery is the way to go
Agreeeee. Lost it after the battery leaking comment😂😂
"the acid leaked out... im not sure why..".. I spit out my drink hahahaha! killer!
I work for Interstate Batteries, I was about to get mad. Lol
I'm 64 years old with worn out knees and also 6ft tall and 260 lb. so the lower seat height was a great selling point for me. It reminds me of the 1970's trail bikes I loved as a kid. Mine is a 2018 and I love it. TDubs you the man love your videos informative and entertaining.
dang, my knees are not doing to well either, glad to hear it has been a good bike for you! thank you :)

hey thanks, much appreciated :)
... Totally agree!! Just started watching him yesterday and now I cannot stop. Great personality and informative videos!!!!.
Big thumbs up.

“Passenger pegs, so you can pick up all the ladies.” Yes sir, chicks dig TW200s.
hahaha 😂 they do indeed
Actually, attractive chicks that are outdoorsy athletic types would love to ride this bike...butcha gotta have one to teach'em how to ride. And she can hang on to ya when you take her out to the riding range!
💯 I used to own an MSF school we had 20-30 TWs at one point. They are quite popular with the ladies
Yeah we do... especially since they are our size. ;)
Papa Torr my lady friend taught me to ride on her 2017 TW200. I love it!
Just got my 2015 tw with only 100 miles on it. I think it's a perfect bike for small towns and farms as well as the woods so it fits me just fine. Rode it in pouring rain, mud, street, gravel, no problem. A great all a round bike. Even hauled a few groceries.
nice, congrats on your nearly new tw200! for sure such a useful bike :)
Hey Kiddo. Hello from a 48 year old dude, who just picked up a TW and learning everything he needs from you. Love your channel. Keep up the good work. #Respect.
Great review. I have always wanted a TW since I was a teen, now in my 50's I have one and have not stopped exploring since. This is the best thing to have in the Yukon... no place is off limits
thank you! I would have loved to have one in my teens as well, that's awesome, such a great bike for mountain on/off road exploring. true that!
@@TDubsKid Wait, so how old are you then? Based on your screen name I was assuming you were a teen, but now I have no idea.
Totally! They should call this thing second childhood bikell😅
Excellent video! Didn’t have to scroll through a lot of bullshit or listen to crappy music; concise, pertinent information, the best video I’ve seen on this topic.
thank you! glad you enjoyed it and didn't get bored :)
Wow, not even 7k subscribers? That won't be for long. Great video, man 👍🏼 Great information, good jokes, and top-notch quality

Enjoy it young fella, it's a golden time to be alive.
indeed, it is nice being young, no one stays young forever though that is for sure. thanks
I bought my TW200 because of your video's .Ive made it my own many mods,I love it ,never off road, last bike was a Honda Goldwing no kidding.
awesome! 😃hope your ejoying it. wow that's quite a different bike, ride safe!
I still have a Gold Wing ,but just bought a TW200. I've been on it twice , less then 900 miles love the little bike, my Gold Wing is for sale .
My last bike was also goldwing 1800...now I enjoy my tdub!
@Me Me I bought brand new leftover 2016 tw200 for 4300.00 about 2years ago out the door that includes taxes and prep fees.
The times between TDubs videos are sad times.... (:
Please never stop.
thanks :) ill keep the videos rolling out, next one is motocamping!!!!!!!!
Made me fall in love with mine all over again! 😁 I topped mine out at 70mph! It definitely felt like it, that's for sure.
haha awesome! and nice I got mine up to 70 once it was scary
That crash sequence after talking about the batter leaking was perfect lol. Love the review man, stay safe out there!
haha glad you enjoyed my crashes. thanks!
Just clicked on this video for something different to watch. You,young man are a natural when it comes to youtube reviewers. TW200 is definitely the most versatile and fun motorcycle out there.
oh cool glad you found it! thank you, I appreciate that 😃 that's for sure!
Super comfy off roading with as well.
that's for sure! it would be great for that. such a handly little bike
Your comments about "don't know why the batter leaks" and then the crashes cracked me up. Made my morning.
haha glad to hear you enjoyed that part
I took my safety course on a TW200, and it's a really fun little bike. Also, you mention buying tyres for $60-$70, which is crazy, because I run Bridgestone Battlax BT46s on my Suzuki GS750 for about $200 each.
Very nice! Yeah haven’t looked at the price but maybe it went up like everything else. Thats a lot!
I have the BW200 & TW200 not power houses but are a ton of fun and super easy to maintain. Excellent in sand and muddy trails too
nice! those BW's are interesting. very true, such great bikes that seem to stick around forever haha
I love when smart people like you make reviews because they are very helpful! I'm looking to get one of these to use around my families farm. Thanks for the amazing review!
haha thanks, glad it was helpful, nice! have fun. no problem, thanks for watching
ive been binge watching videos trying to figure out which will be my first motorcycle or moped... two days ago i placed my order for a tw200. your library of videos - primarily this one - were instrumental in that choice.
thank you for doing these. ive never had a motorcycle and this really helps take the mystery out.
smiley face from a farmer in hawaii. :)
thanks for watching! glad to hear, no problem many more to come ride safe and have fun :)
Cool video, I love these old school - low tech bikes.
Super fun to ride, really cheap to own, can go pretty much anywhere.
Love these style bikes.
thanks! yeah it's nice having something simple that just get's the job done haha
Made me understand that just seat time and riding all year long without problems is most important, rather than few bursts of adrenaline when your bike finally runs right
Nice. Loved the montage of, “Not sure why my battery is fried early”.
Haha glad you enjoyed
I just bought my first TW today. It's a 2013 with 800 miles. Happy as all get out! I'll use it on the many gravel road around here. I'll keep my cruiser, as well, for highway use. Today the teens and I had a blast riding it.
very cool, congrats! it's a fun bike for sure, have a great time!
Randomly came across your video and am now a subscriber due to your sense Of humor and well put together video. Loved the battery crash compilation 😂
oh nice haha, thanks for subscribing! glad you enjoy the videos, 😂
I'm in the Harley Davidson riding class this weekend. Once I emerge with an endorsement, I'll go buy a new tdub next week! Your videos are what sold me on the bike, so thank you for that!
nice! don't tell anyone but I almost failed my msf class lol I remember going to get my tdub after I got my endorsement, it was so exciting. no problem!
I had that same engine in my 1983 xt 200 .really reliable.great bike
nice! it's a dependable little engine
Great info for newbies like me. I'm 67 and tired of the stodgy life. We have two MB200's and ready to explore more life. Thank you.
for sure! yeah so cool you are riding at at 67 just gotta keep moving
Great video. I am not even looking at a TW200 any more but i still watched the video. I quite enjoyed it. The battery section and the crash compilation were a nice touch. Instant sub.
hey thanks! glad you enjoyed it. any bike can take you on an adventure! haha glad you enjoyed it :)
I’ve been looking at this bike for about a year now and this is just what I needed to solidify my decision
nice! it's a great little bike, I almost have 14,000 miles on mine now and it rides like new
an excellent little bike. mine is a 96 model and done 30,000 km a very reliable bike just starts first time every time, the only thing i can pick on is i wish it had another 50 cc
for sure, nice! that's good to hear it's still running good, i'm almost halfway to 30k. haha
Great video!
awesome! they are both pretty neat bikes, would be sweet to review them side by side. thanks!
We have amazing back roads in Colorado. And yeah the wildlife is unpredictable
Yeah we do! I love it here, so true

@@cudaker I updated it you just have to put in the info for your bike, the one for the 2014 tw200 just disappeared for some reason. might be some differences depending on the year
Crash sequence during the battery segment was hilarious! Great video. Very helpful.
Haha glad you enjoyed it!
@@TDubsKid You're never really alone at Rampart though, are you?
I just bought used one 2004 with 2800 k miles. Love it no regrets! I owned many bigger bikes but this small beast is a lots of fun !
nice! that's pretty low miles! awesome glad to hear you are enjoying it 😃
I'm thinking about buying this bike so I appreciate your honest review, especially about the battery.
oh cool, and no problem!
You'll love this bike. Buy used and if you dont like it well you shouldnt lose.
I took my endorsement class on a TW200, I have an FZ-09 now, and I still want one of these.
haha nice. not fast but it's a a fun little bike
Was at Tim Horton watching this ..couldn't hold myself laughing at the Battery crashing thing. Always a pleasure to watch you. Hey and I'm from Qc,Canada also.
haha that's great, glad to hear you ejoyed that, oh cool maybe you will run into Benjamin if he ends up getting a tw200
Much love from montreal 514 steez. Id be half empty without my tw's. You cant go wrong with an easy riding beauty. Stay classy and happy riding out there boys
This review has the best editing I've ever seen on a video done by an owner. (Not by a professional video company is what I mean)
thanks so much! I try to do the best I can with what I have
A good review of the bike. For now , I have a Chinese knock off, but can still use alot of info from your videos. When I can, the TW200 looksa like it would be just what I'm looking for.
hey thanks! at least it's better having any bike than no bike. the tw200 is super fun and reliable
@Midnite Rider
What is the knock off. Where did you get it.
@@drmachinewerke1
I have the magician a knock off of yamaha tricker. got it from saferwholesale.com
I’m 65 and had bikes all my life.I love my TW!!
nice! it's such great bike, maybe the simplicity has something to do with it
Great information and fun video! Thank you keep up the good work! Love the true details
thanks! glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Dude your making me want to switch to a TW200 haha. Great video!
haha, have you ever ridden one? thanks!
Passenger pegs so you can pick up all the ladies 😂 man. Thank you for that good laugh. That was freaking hilarious. Good vid 👍🏼
haha no problem 😂 thanks!
I can get the rear tube off with just the tools I carry though. thank you!
Awesome job man! I’m amazed by the quality of your videos every time I watch them!
thanks man! so much appreciated :)
Big fan of the channel. Just got a 2021 that I’ve slowly been modding. Big question I have is “How are you getting such good gas economy?”
I’ve gone through two tests to see where I hit my reserve tank. First was 65 miles, second was 60. I’m racking my brain to factor in all things that would influence my economy.
1st: Payload
I’m 175 lbs, riding gear 25 lbs, backpack 15 lbs.
2nd: Fuel & Air Intake
I’ve got the stock jet, stock air filter, and have tinkered with the pilot screw to optimize startup and throttle response (1.75 turns out from bottom). Both tests were at 5000’ - 6500’ above sea level.
3rd: Type of Riding
Both tests were about 50/50 off-road/on-road.
Any input is much appreciated.
Thanks for the content TDubsKid and don’t stop killing it!
hey glad you enjoy it! congrats on your new TW
might because I weigh only 120?
I ride around that altitude and higher. have never touched my carb though
hmm I found it gets the best gas mileage going slower off road.
no problem, thanks for watching!
I'd love to start a bike company based on the philosophy of the tw...I'd make a 250, 450 and 650. Discs front and back and better suspension. Other than that, I'd keep it the same
dood that would be awesome, it would take an insane amount of capital to do that but i'm rooting for you! I would buy a 450
Great video.
Dude, you make great videos!!
& the areas you ride look amazing.
Great content, keep it up.
thank you so much! it's great out here, you never run out of new places to ride. ill keep the videos rolling!
Damn... my brother is thinking about buying a TW 200. I just shared a link to this video with him. I told him he'd love the TW2OO after watching it. Fact is, I'm kinda (definitely) thinking of getting one too after watching. Very nice video!
nice haha, they are fun bikes! thank you
What a great video, liked and subscribed, keep up the good work. Big love from Great Britain.
thank you! so much appreciated 😃
Plenty of personal "real world " opinions from your own use instead of a bunch of stats that don't mean anything to a viewer. keep up the good work.
thanks! yeah stats can get kinda boring and are easy to find anywhere. thought I would share my 2 cents after riding the tw200 for such a long time. thanks again :)
thinking about this versus a DRZ as my first dual sport bike, that crash comp to explain the battery made me an instant subscriber
oh nice, they are both good bikes, the DRZ has way more power and suspension, TW is more relaxing I would think. haha thanks for subscribing!
@@TDubsKid I'm definitely gonna miss the Tdubs but I can't afford 2 bikes
Separatist
8 min in, red helmet kid - truer words were never said, kid is wise beyond his years 😂
sadly my dog passed away the same month i bought my tdub. honestly getting out and riding (and maybe a bit of the fear of dying on it lol) really helped push me through the sadness. it's really hard to be sad on the tdub, so bring some joy to your life, and go out and ride ❤
Haha thanks!
Thats a bummer. Glad the tw helped though. Riding always helps when im feeling down
Forgot the seat height. That for me was why was a big buying factor over many other dual sports.
oh true I did forget that, yeah I think its the lowest seat height out of all the dual sports
.
CORYSart the suzuki DR200 could also be a big contender for that reason and all other points mentioned in this video. Also the funky suzuki Van Van.
I dont know a whole lot on the Suzuki models so I cant really comment. I do see them on craigslist time to time
I had 45,000 on a tw200 in 4 years and you nailed it! Great video.
nice! that's more miles then most people put on a car. thanks! 😃
HAHA... Had me rollin' at the crash montage. Awesome vid and just reinforces why the TW200 is such a great bike!
thanks haha!
@@TDubsKid Thanks for your reply. Interesting channel too, and great editing.
Love your editing and personality dude! Keep it up :)
You sound like you know your stuff as well!
thank you! so much appreciated! 😃
Yamaha needs to pay you for this review man. Great job, I just bought a new crf250rally but you almost sold me on one of these as well!!
haha I appreciate that! haha thats a cool bike too though
You do good work and I agree 100% with your TW evaluation..
hey thanks!
I used this bike for my endorsement course! Loved it!
nice! it would be a great bike for that
These videos are so damn good! I just found your channel. I’m surprised you don’t have hundreds of thousands of subs lol
thank you! glad you were able to find it. so much appreciated
Hi TDubskid, I recently purchased a TW200 and I'm really excited. Fantastic video btw. I also watched your oil change video as my bike is getting close to 600 miles. Thank you for all the videos I'm about to watch!!
Hey there 👋 congrats on getting a tw! Should load up great on a Kei truck 🛻 🏍️ glad the videos are helpful. No problem! Ride safe
Awesome vid, really enjoyed it.
thanks! glad you enjoyed it! 😃
Great video, just bought battery for my B M , K75 and you have to have a sealed unit now , so much better and safer . For a small bike it offers a lot , I would love one the fun you can have , you've proved it can be achieved, watched people on postie bike doing great miles ,
thank you! yeah especially for an off road bike, makes so much sense. thanks 😀
I think you've convinced me I need one, haha
haha nice. they are great to explore the outdoors with
Need to finish some cable routing and we’ll see if it actually works...
haha nice! ohh that's a neat idea hiding hiding it in the airbox. cool! let me know how it goes 😃
I remember seeing this bike every day when I walked home from school! Some guy in an apartment building owned it back in the 90's.I remember thinking that the rear tire size would be great for doing wheelies! Always wanted to ride one!!
haha that's awesome, I remember seeing one in a Yamaha brochure back when I was around 12. they are super fun to ride!
Keep it up and keep it coming.
hahaha, glad you enjoyed it! much appreciated, God bless. new video here in a couple hours
Great video 👍
thank you!
I miss my TW ! It was my first duel spot bike. I just picked up a WR250R and making it forest/ road worthy. Keep up the great funny videos. Around Bend Oregon out !
I would miss it too! very nice, a great bike for sure. ill keep them coming slowly but surely
Love your style bro! 😎🏍👊

Love tw200. Had to run crf 250l being tall. This bike is beast
they are both neat bikes, just much different haha. my friend rides a crf250l and loves it
Great info.
thank you
Have been learning from your videos for years--very helpful. TW200s are great-- they do everything I wanted it to do. It's not fast; not sexy, but so much fun!! Thanks TDubsKid!
glad to hear! so true, just a good dependable bike to take you anywhere. still loving mine
Good review.
thank you!
Because of your videos I'm trying to buy one of these things now and resurrect my motorcycling career. Who knows if I can actually find one to buy?? We will see. Good job man.
glad to hear! I'm still enjoying mine, best of luck finding a good deal on one
"That's a bad dawnky" haha super informative vid man.
haha thanks man
FANTASTIC T-Dub review! Every rider should own a T-Dub as a second or third motorcycle for all those times you need something easy, simple, and reliable. My T-dub sees more riding time as an every week rider than the BMW R1150GS ADV and the 1944 German Wehrmacht DKW NZ-350/1.
indeed, always good to have more than one bike since not one bike can be great at everything. just a worry free fun reliable bike. oh wow haha
