Also...he's only 19.
That’s actually insane
Whoa 😮 🔥
Jason Tatum reference
He's obviously cheating. Michael Norman was even trying and this youngsters form is way worse. Michael Norman back then wouldn't lose any race and that's not even the beginning of glazing
And just a sophomore.
I'm not surprised at all by this. From the first moment he stepped foot on a track, he's been running like lightning....
I'm his uncle, and I couldn't be more proud by all he has achieved so far. hes just getting started....oh and he's just a sophomore. The world is at his feet🌎🏅
Very impressive results, phenomenal shape, and I wish Christopher all the best. It's been a huge month & weekend for Canadians. In Windsor, a former athlete I coached for several years, Max Davies, who recently just turned 20 in December of 2023, just broke 2 OUA Indoor Records, winning the Men's 1000m in 2:20.22 on Friday and Saturday winning the Men's 1500m in 3:44.24. He also anchored the Guelph Gryphons 4x800m Relay to OUA Gold. The 1500m Record had stood since 1978.The 1000m should also be New Canadian U21&22 National Indoor Records, and Max is on the doorsteps of Canadian Legend Doug Consiglio' U23 1000m Indoor Record. A couple weeks ago Max also broke the 4minute Mile Indoors. Both your nephew Christopher & Max have a bright future representing Canada. I know they both have had the opportunity to do so already. The sky really is the limit for these 2 young men. Hope to see them both qualify for the Olympic Games and continue to make us proud. God Bless
@paolothevin Marvellous . Wish him the best in the upcoming races for us Canadian 😊😊😊😊😊
Yeah but what drugs is he taking dude
@@Peter-yj8fj and what if we should ask you the same question like this...What drug are you taking to be able to think and even write those 8 grudgeful words? Oh come on, I must also remind you that you are the best, so just start believing in yourself and you too will start reaping your successes.
Great stuff mate 👍
What's even crazier is hes canadian and their national OUTDOOR record is 44.44. He almost beat that just running indoors
He's Canadian? That's my boy right there! Let's go Canada
Canada Ina The Building
@@Bigern2998he’s half Latino right Morales Williams doesn’t sound Canadian.
@@trinidadrodriquez876 dude, everyone lives everywhere now. I am a Norwegian Canadian haha👍 I claim Morales as Canadian
If that record is 44.44 then the title of this video is a lie.
He looks like Michael Cherry when he runs, with that motion. Excited to see a new nation enter the conversation for the top of the 400m. Canada hasn’t had a top 400m sprinter in a very long time.
Hah you’re right! He does run like Michael Cherry with that really large arm swing
Totally unexpected World Record run but he's been progressing nicely all season. Canada has another superstar! Ironically he's being coached by the same collegiate coach as Canadian stars Aaron Brown and Andre DeGrasse.
Very exciting. If this guy properly steps up for the outdoor 400m, that will give Canada, on the men’s side anyway, someone legitimately in the mix for everything from 100m up through 10000m. DeGrasse/Brown, Morales-Williams, Arop, Philibert-Thibodeau, Mo Ahmad.
Not ironically but coincidentally
Tony Sharpe is the man behind the scenes bringing up these stars
Yes he had a few 45.'s, and was slightly ahead of Boling for the season.
That's the opposite of ironic
Dude was MOOOOOOOVVVING!!! Congrats.
His kick down final stretch was very powerful and unusual.
Honestly. I've never seen someone carry so much momentum like that. It's like he was fresh.
@@jhoncena1111 I know what you're saying. 400m don't get done like that.
@@thee-sportspantheon330you couldn’t have said it better I’ve never seen anything like that before
@@thee-sportspantheon330yeah anyone else with that form would have got dropped lol. This guy had almost zero visible deceleration after taking out the first lap in 21 flat.
@@jhoncena1111 He was decelerating. Just less than the other guys. It’s how it works. I had him at around 32.2 at 300m, which is an 11.1 for the 3rd hundred. So that gives 12.3-12.4 for the last 100m.
He was strong though. I would have loved to see what he could do for a 600 on that day.
You called that "seemingly effortless"? What? I give him props for over-the-top effort, and it looked it!
I thought he was tightening way up. Super impressive grit.
I thought the same thing. There is nothing effortless about running a 400 m at this speed. He was pushing hard and he killed it.
Right? this is like the first time I've ever disagreed with his assessment out of his 2 or 3 million videos lol
I love that he ran through the tape!
When to elementary school with Christopher I remember going to track meets with him and doing relay with him he was always the fastest and an amazing friend 🇨🇦
You were wrong on one point! You said he was breaking away effortlessly. He was struggling, pumping his arms grinding, making funny faces, and definitely not effortlessly running that race.
I agree. He was not tight. Swaying and muscling. This was pure effort which says a lot too. If he can tighten it up it could be game over
I noticed early on his technique was not well "contained"... this was brute force dominance... amazing to see
Guy is DIFFERENT different. Crazy to see his level of improvement from this time last year. Good job to his coach and training.
I witnessed this race live at the Tyson Center, and it was incredible. He proved that the smoothest is not always the fastest. He got that record with sheer effort.
The fact his technique is inefficient means he can run faster indoors and of course outdoors once he loosens up and stops wasting energy. Wow
He ran that on heart and strength. He put perfect efficiency to the side so it wouldn't get in the way.
@@dennisrobinson8008 yeah get rid of efficiency lol. It's holding you back 😂
We can't complain though a 44.49, best ever. Sure there is room for gains from being more controlled. @@bignashi
If you don’t know him, look up Quincy Wilson. He broke 50” in the 400 as an 8th grader and ran 45 seconds last year as a freshman, and his form is insanely goofy.
This comment reminded me of him, if he figures out his arm swing he’ll be unstoppable
Will youtube him.@@jonahmays
When I learned I was about to hear audio of your life reaction, I expected a whole lot more than "Whoa", "Come on" that barely stands out and needed captioning. Hahaha pretty underwhelmed by that part of the video.
I've never heard of the guy though so I'm thrilled learning about him this way.
Fr 😂
Right? I was expecting an unnaturally loud "What the FUCK?!"
From Ontario Canada🙌🏽
DAMN, that last pic at the end says it all, EVERYONE standing around in total SHOCK!!!!! hahahaha
👍💪
Yea that reaction was cool and very authentic
Nice to see an Athlete run through the tape instead of celebrating before finishing. Good for him !
@@SuperElott There is something to be said about a relative newcomer running in a fashion that suggests it's new to him as well. Does he run the same way if he draws an inner lane, and has no requirement to 'run scared?"
This was fast uploading. I just watched this race, Williams did a great job.
This man’s
potential 😮
Congratulations bro 🎉
Imagine opening the first 200m of a 400m at your 200m PB pace, then just continuing? He for sure should be able to best his 200m & 300m PBs.
Damn.... kid has WHEELS!!👏👏
This is nuts. Never doubt yourself!
Absolutely amazing.
lets go chris!!!!! big props dawg
His momentum was CRAZY! Just other other-worldly to witness.
Dude that’s fantastic!!
Impressive props to yeah my friend keep doing what your always doing and as you see what you put in shines when it’s has to hard work pays off if it was easy everyone would be doing it . That’s what I would tell all my clients when I was training them. wish you the best stay healthy
Congratulations Christopher.🎉🎉
Wow! Great job Christopher!
What a performance!
Big up Vaughn, Ontario!
Congratulations
Super run. He held his composure throughout the race, and finished through the tape. 👏👏👏
Incredible kick! God has gifted this young man, with greater thingstocome!🙏
If this man can control his breathing while also improving his form, man, he will do even better. This was amazing!
Did you watch his breathing in the last 50m?, he was controlling it for power...
Thats crazy
The separation he created in the last 100 m.....second to none. Congratulations sir, job well done!
Holy crap!!
First I want to say, TRP you genuinely love T&F, your analysis is always on point and you genuinely care about the athletes you cover. I am proud of this young man, the 400 metres is open right now and I hope his coach do not run him too often because I would love to see him mixing it up at the Olympics with Steven Gardiner. Not since Jeremy Wariner have I been pleasantly surprised by this amazing young man. And I did run the 400 metres and I have never seen anyone finish the last 50 metres like that indoors. Continue in greatness TRP. God bless!
I went to college on a track scholarship to run the 400 and I have to agree with you for real!!!!! I know the pain you feel in those last meters and realize his endurance and conditioning is out of this world!!!! I wonder if he can run the 800 too!!!???🤔
His ability to shift gears reminded me of Will Sumner, so yes he can run the 800 metres and he has at such a young age accepted the pain that comes with the long sprint. His ability to maintain his momentum without slowing down bodes well for his future and 43 seconds Outdoors is in sight
Glazing
Unbelievable
Yuhhhhhhhh big Canada in the building. Outdoor szn ain’t ready 🤫
Love it 😂❤
What a stud. Gifted.
sic em dawgs ⚡️⚡️
That’s crazy!
You want to see how hard he threw down the hammer, look at the facial expression of the guy in 2nd at the finish line. Very very impressive.
it’s unbelievable! as in, i can’t believe it. insanity.😃👏🏽
Its going to be about his outdoor performance this spring when considering world class going to be exciting
Morales uber alles🔥🔥
Woah.
Christopher Williams is bad to the bone baby love it let's do it again CW 👋
🔥🔥
this year is already starting off strong
New comment speed WR
Super !
That’s insane
Once he gets better form, ohhhh man he will be unstoppable
Making Toronto proud! 🥲 🇨🇦
York Region 😉
No one knows York region.
Let's goooo
Dang! Bra was flying!
This youngster is still raw but clocking elite times. Unbelievable!
goodness gracious
Misleading headline-the world record is 43.03 by Wayde van Niekerk of So. Africa who broke Michael Johnson's record of 43.18
absolutely ridiculous 🤯
Let’s go dawgs … whhhoooaaaaaaa
That was a DAWG like run. That sprint in the last 50 was completely bananas like a Banzai pilot.
Absolutely insane!! He's 100% going to be a threat this outdoor season.
Hopefully he isn't run into the ground this season. I wonder how this factors in for quallifying for Paris (he's from Canada and I don't think anyone could come close to him).
@@krbcan1He’s the defending Canadian champion from last summer. Won in 45.48, second place was just under 46 last year. I think he should be able to win nationals/qualifying meet. And I would imagine this performance would qualify as an Olympic standard for Team Canada.
I knew he could win this race since he was on the rise every week but a world record wow !!!
WONDERFUL...he can only get faster!
Excellent! Very Fast! New Track Star on the rise! 44.48 indoors!
All gas
Wow 😮😮
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada to a Venezuelan mom and Jamaican dad. Not too surprising 🇯🇲
Why does he use his mom's last name first?
Christopher Morales-Williams. You’re not very smart. Are you 😒
smart enough for you to retort@@Brave-828
you've got that reversed
I Pray for happiness , health , and high kicking heals for this young man :)
That deserves a "Bruh..."
Whoow...this young man is only 19...I declare that the track and field world is officially turned upside down. All these so-called impossible mark are being constantly erase by the unprimed and even those who've passed their prime. All the best to Christopher Morales Williams: I pray even now, that he will have all the support he needs to get to the very top and stay there and I hope that he too will become a household name in Track and Field.
Great run Morales !!!
Even more impressive is the fact that he set a record while running with an apparent crick in his neck.
His leg movement is unique, like springs as he plants and pushes off.
That last 100, you could see all that early morning hill work paying off with his tremendous strength.
Wow!!!!
2024 is already crazy
Dang! ALL these videos are REALLY, REALLY good. Complete research, the excellent story telling, and the footage. The tech-y music? Yuck, but you are batting at least .900. Keep them coming!!
Dude just ran a PR with almost a 1 second improvement unheard of at this level
Morales reminds me of Michael Cherry with running form but Van Niekerk with the momentum he runs with at the finish of a race
That burst of speed towards the line was amazing! It was like the film was sped up!
Nice run from Miles Morales.
🏆🏆🏆⭐🔥🔥🔥🔥
with all these times 2024 paris olympic gonna be crazy..
Awesome run
I would love to just watch the race. I can’t seem to find a channel that will actually show a race.
Amazing, because it looks like he maintained speed or even sped up in the last 100m while he was visibly straining and struggling. Usually you see guys slowing down with that type of fatigue.
The harmonics of the track boards suits his running technique.
Would love to see UGA's 1600m medley relay team
This is certainly the fastest INDOOR 400m but it is not the "Fastest 400 meters ever run" as claimed in the deceptive title. The outdoor world record is 43.03 by Wade van Niekerk
Click bait
Wow
Imagine when he gets his form...wow
The blistering 44.49sec 400m indoor time set by Canadian teenager Christopher Morales Williams last weekend will not be ratified as a world record due to an issue with the starting blocks, US officials said on Tuesday.
Holy mother of stride length.
