Idk why people keep saying that you HAVE to beat mergot and godrick (whichever one he is lol)... You can just take the back path to the right of storm veil and to the left of the finger reader chick, and bypass the whole castle and get to limgrave without ever facing a single boss... Just saying, you can farm them for the scythe, then go back and beat them with the weapons lol
Literally got these in first 10 to 12 minutes of game ran right there killed 3 skeletons 2 out of 3 dropped the scythes lol

For anyone just coming to this video looking for the grave scythe, it took me maybe 10 respawns before I got the weapon as of 10/13/2023. You can still get it here the same way and it doesn’t take long. Good luck with your builds!
Ive done 27 respawns and still havent gotten it 😭

I just randomly got it and had never even heard of it and decided to use it in my new game + with black flame tornado as a faith strength build. Pretty dang fun

Halo Scythe carried me hard. If you use talismans, wondrous physik, etc., its weapon art has NUTS damage and also great range with ability to spam it. It also can be obtained right off the bat, but farming it can be tough at lower levels but once you get it, its a nuts scythe
Found out there’s a ash of war so u can get the grave scythe and make it a halo grave scythe

For some even more damage you can use vykes thunder bolt. It stacks with the rest

Just to clarify, it's not all holy damage. It's more like any buff that adds holy damage, like the Ash of War: Sacred Order.

If you put the Sacret blade ash of war you show in the stats,the weapon ability can kill skeletons directly no need a second strike

Flame art grave scythes with redmane flame and black flame tornado ashes of war on each is awesome and can destroy bosses
Just a heads up if you didn't know, the Golden Epitaph sword kills them without needing to hit them again.
I’m pretty sure holy weapons stop them from resurrecting

Probably should add that there are more powerful weapons damage wise and you don't even need 2 of them, some with even longer reach. Still, dual wielding scythe are fun, it has a higher poise break than any sword, has bleed damage, still decent range, and pretty fun to swing around.
I do wish you could add a bleed ash of war to it though to increase the bleed effect though, and you'd think there would be pff.
FYI on the skeletons. By using the orders blade incantation, you enshroud your armament with a golden light, inflicting holy damage on your enemies.. and that stops the undead from regenerating
One 100+ hour original playthrough and NG+3 on my current character and I still haven’t managed to farm these
I found this item very early my first play thru and I literally used it from the beginning when I first got it in the first graveyard to the elden beast. It’s literally the best weapon in the game IMO

I just calculated that after grinding kill 3 skeleton over and over again until it got to accumulated about after about 3000 rune then one of them drop the weapon or bone shard (based on my playtrough)
I'm on 12k souls. No scythe. Im doing a scythe run so I'm going to spend all the runes at merchants and then start the game. Maybe the shrimp gumbo guy will get my money.

Whatever Fromsoft games you are playing, remember you can always be a GRIM REAPER.
Example : Gherman's Scythe, Sekiro Sabimaru, and now this one.
Honestly might get elden ring just to dual wield scythes and make my character the literal grim reaper, since the scythe is my favourite weapon and the fact they are really good also helps
just be ready to die a lot, you are never safe in the game regardless of your level lol. I mean that is outside of grace spots

Thats my weapon, im duel wielding them they're really good, but I think I want to switch to grace scythe's, Im at level 85 and the winged ones are starting to get out classed but still super fun

I did it 4x in a row daytime, went to grace point waited till nightfall and boom right away on 1st skeleton.

Damn, I have been farming at this place for 30 minutes with a discovery of 202 and all I've been getting is human bone shards
finally got both of them. farming took about 55 attempts

you can easily get to lake facing cliffs without fighting any bosses just use the right side path around the castle!

You can just equip for example Sacred Blade as Ash of War on some weapon and then kill them with it. They don't resurrect then.

Idk why people make videos showing off how good a weapon is and they have a lvl 315 build with countless buffs and items you won’t have til ng+.
I’m more interested to see how good they are at a base level with maybe a few strategies that can be done around the same time as acquiring the weapon, like infusing it with cold and putting wild strikes on it for huge frost and blood. That can all be done within an hour of starting the gamez

how does utting occult or blood affinity on these scythes fare? is the increased bloodloss worth it if youre doing an arcane build?
totally worth it
I believe high level arc (idk exact number) probably around 60 or higher, gives 100 bleed every hit. I do know they can go with an arcane build very well if switched to occult.

ive been using phantom slash and the bloodflame blade incantation with flame, grant me strength its amazing. the damage it can reach. and its super nice against shielded enemies cos it will make them vulnerable when your phantom hits them and then you can get more damage on your actual hit.

this weapon is literally broken i first tried so many bosses with it , get another one then get the chilling mist ash of war and duplicate it then put it on them
First kill gave me it with 180 discovery lol.
People use litany of proper death instant kill no bs

What is that cloak you are using?
If you have Inseparable Blade or Golden Order Greatsword, then they won't reanimate!

Gotta swap to the secondary weapon and activate its ash and then go back to dual wielding
