I hope Incantations get a bit more love in the upcoming patches. There are so many cool Incantations. But most of them suck. Like Fortissax Lightning or Elden Stars. They look amazing. But since they take roughly three weeks to cast they aren't all that great.
Yes. The cast time and FP cost seems high for most high end incants. Esp when comparing sorceries that can be channeled free of cost for 10 seconds which is enough to stagger and down many bosses.
@@Darkyan97 This is a great point. I agree! My next run I've planned on a faith lightning build just for the appeal of looking bad ass... but I am sure after using Sorcery and Rivers on play 1-2 its going to feel like a chore. Perhaps I'll leave my mimic as is and just cast some cool crap on bosses and trash mobs.
Elden stars is quite good in pvp, not for damage but to force rollcatches and stagger. Fortissax Lightning requires high poise or no aggro to land effectively. Try bull armor, iron jars, or perseverance ash of war
if anyone didnt know beforehand, lightning strike can have its startup for its cast skipped if you first cast a different faith spell beforehand, itll auto cast lightning strike like a combo if you then instantly switch to it and keep spamming cast. For example, Bestial Sling first, then up on the D-pad to switch to lightning strike, then cast lightning strike, do this instantly after the sling for an instant cast of the lightning strike. This should also work with catch flame, and other incantations that would normally have several chain attacks in what they'd be identified as a "spell combo"
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already, but in order to get Pest Threads, you have to continue Millicent's questline beyond the point described in this video, because when he first becomes a merchant, he will only have the 3 sorceries available. To unlock the 1 incantation we're looking for, you must get to the point in Millicent's questline that you deliver the Valkyrie Prosthesis (found in the Shaded Castle) to her. Then return to Gowry and after some dialogue, Pest Threads will finally be available.
Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. I went with a faith build for the first time in any souls game because I heard incantations are more interesting than spells this time around. But with so many incantations discovered, I never seem to wanna use any of them. Needed a list like this: Clear, concise, and you show where to get em. Perfect, thanks again dude.
@@couchcommandoiv5528 TRUE. Then that phase 2 divebomb comes out and she just sits there as she gets bled like 4 or more times. It's kind of beautiful.
I should of thought of that. I swapped from Blasphemous blade and rivers of blood katana to do knock downs and bleed procs. Took an hour with my mimic and when I did kill her it was a massacre.
ive absolutely been loving binge watching these elden ring videos. love how its like 3 uploads a day and its all unique videos and super helpful information. im 103 hours into my playthru and im still being taught new things with your guys videos from past areas. thanks for all the help and info you guys work so hard to get.
Yeah.. Im not sure i like that though, im sure ive spent more time searching on ecosia and generally researching than actually playing >.< a lot to learn. Great game though.
Other wonderful options include: Giantsflame Take Thee, Greyoll's Roar, and I'm partial to the Black Flame incantations. They've got a 2% HP DoT that stacks with Destined Death stuff like Tiche, Maliketh's boss items, or the Assassin's Black Dagger. They have okay range but primarily the DoT is good against enemies with big health pools that like to run away from time to time (cough, Elden Beast and Placidusax).
That 2% isnt not as good as it should be. Faith kind of got screwed over compared to bleed/frost. Flame of the Fell God should add a debuff similar to the full moon stuff. I really hope incantations get some love soon, lightning really has nothing going for it, at least my pyro build works.
@@apollo5756 I fully agree. Black Flame is super underpowered. The status guys over there have the same thing but better, more consistently. Why does BLEED work more often than this? Also, Flame of the Fell God should totally have a unique mechanic that way, because it really is like the Full Moon but for fire. Maybe just a short break for you to get a breather while the enemy pats out the flames or something, lol. But yeah, I love the lightning stuff and dragon lightning stuff, but it's so underpowered it's barely usable. Lansseax's Glaive has a 40 Faith requirement, and even on my 349 incant scaling weapon I get like 700-900 damage for landing it, which any bleed katana user will just laugh at. We really didn't get the love from the devs I hoped we would, and it seems like most of the community only ever makes videos on Sorcery and it's just kinda isolating to use Incantation guys. We're a small little group, struggling to lob flames at dragons while everyone else laughs in bleed and Azur's Comet.
@@KaroxNightshade Its clear that sorceries at least were thought out to a degree, incantations dont provide enough features. Andula's is superior to Lansseax Glaive by miles and still overall better than Black Blade. Lightning should focus on more chain casts/extra poise damage if fully charged - red lightning should debuff lightning resist to give it something. Black flame needs a better DoT, possibly just lengthen the time. Holy skills in general just need to be looked at, Im having a real hard time with my Holy faith build. I'm even considering going faith/int but the Holy disc spells just seem lackluster too. I secretly wish Black flame spells was holy damage to work with black blade better.

pro tip: Swarm of flies does fire damage, i used it on miranda flowers and it sets them on fire. Also DO NOT sleep on the damage pest threads does! I'm on Ng+8 and beyond so i have enemies with the maximum possible health and damage, elden beast is an absolute damage sponge, this spell without exaggeration just consumes him.
@@parkerbertrand6005 my friend took 120 hours to get to his first new game. He then sped to new game 4 in 10 hours. It's really the first playthrough that soaks up your hours.
If you're a faith build, I'd highly recommend swapping to Ekzekye's Decay, does more damage, lasts longer, you can use it mid air (doesn't break fall damage I've tried) and its procs faster. Only downside is it can't be used on horse.
The needle threads is perfect for bosses quick to use and barely any mp used it’s 100% worth it and shoot I didn’t know about that lighting move that looks very good
while not a damage incantation, I always have Flame, Cleanse Me in one of my slots! makes traversing poison and scarlet rot areas so much easier (and even if you're not a faith build, you can equip a low req seal just to use this one incantation) :)
Ancient dragon's lightning strike I would argue to be the strongest incantation ever in terms of damage. I've killed fire giant with six to seven casts because of this spell. Even if you don't put much thought into your incantation build I've seen it but for over 5k per burst, and if the enemy is big enough or if you angle yourself in just the right spot a lot of those bursts are going to land. It has a really slow wind up time to fully charge up but if you manage to do so I'd argue that you're going to be more dps than comet azure in some cases. Very underrated incantation. Same with Scarlet Aeonia, if you pop that off ONCE in a boss fight that boss WILL receive scarlet rot, the explosion range and lasting effect of scarlet build up is to high that it's hard not to affect bosses with Scarlet rot. Yes it's explosion damage isn't the best however the scarlet rot is where it's at for that one
Scarlet aeonia is another excellent one but sometimes the damage you take while casting and cast recovering just isn't worth eating your potions up to get your health back
Just thought I'd throw this out there but to get Sage Gowry to sell the Pest Threads incantation, you have to progress the Millicent questline up to the point where you give her the Prosthesis. Hopefully, that clears up any confusion
I haven’t got any of the endgame incantations yet but frenzied burst has been a great spell, has high damage and a better range than lightning spear, plus penetration when charged
A lot of people are sleeping on Dragonmaw. It is the only dragon incant and maybe the only incant in game that has innate hyperarmor. You will take the incoming damage of course but in no way you will get interrupted and it deals a lot of damage which makes it very potent.
The Swarm of Flies you can get very early (for how actually powerful it is vs anything that bleeds) by simply following Palemask quest (most difficult to figure out on your own is finding the Finger Maiden) - then use the item you get at the end of it, so you get early access to Swarm of Flies and Somber Smithing Stone 10 (if you can run fast).
One thing I want to note: I'm doing a "war cleric" type build and have used both golden vow as well as flame grant me strength. Flame Grant me strength seems to have a shorter duration than golden vow, meaning you'll need to reapply it more often. That said, if you're running physical and fire damage, it's a much more significant boost for a smaller fp cost
@RageGamingVideos you mentioned bestial sling but didn't mention you can use it to animation cancel the windups of other incantations with lengthy windups (black blade, honed bolt, magma breath) by rapidly cycling to the next incantation while you're casting it. That, to me, is the most valuable part of bestial sling: You can get someone to run away with a quick toss of bestial sling, then drop a honed bolt/black blade on them as a ranged mix-up, keep casting it, or toss in like a magma breath if they really overcommit to melee. It doesn't work with every long animation (rotten breath, etc) but it's really good for the incantations it does work with.
Thanks for these tips. Lightning Strike is great when engaging multiple enemies in water. Using lightning in water not only increases the damage it does, but it turns it into a lightning AoE spell that will damage multiple enemies. Perfect spell for Silver Tears when they are in water (or grouped on land) and for using against Fia's Champions.
I'm doing a build based around Bestial incants atm, and while I'm still low level it is quite fun. Cinquedea and Clawmark help boost up the bestial sling, and Quickstep helps me move around well. Its a really fast playstyle, and while it doesn't do the world's most burst damage its rather effective at staggering. Its taking some getting used to tho, the speed of the playstyle lol
Before you use a mausoleum with a bell to duplicate a remembrance go over to the mausoleum compound in lernia and see if you can duplicate it there. Maliketh can be duplicated at a bell less mausoleum
you should also mention that golden vow has a lot longer duration compared to flame grand me strength, like 2 or 3 times longer which makes it more reliable in fights.
Ancient dragons lightning strike is also insane for boss fights. You can stand underneath someone like Placidusax and spam it and kill them so quickly since it goes in multiple directions it’ll always hit and since you’re directly underneath, some of their abilities will miss just gotta know what to dodge
@@kinnymane8593 and Godskin duo and maliketh and radahn and elden beast and radagon and rennala and godrick and every dragon / litch dragon and margit and morgott and Melanie etc etc etc and the only boss I’ve found who it does not shred is ironically godfrey the yellow one.
Little tip for anyone struggling with the invader at corpse stench shack from someone under leveled who beat her. If you can wield reduvia , dodge her attacks by running away and when there's an opening, spam weapon art and try to roll catch her. Ofc this is mostly because I didnt want to deal with her bs so I could stop her from healing.
black blade is actually fantastic in pvp. most incantations especially dragon ones can be interrupted easily though. if no poise casting happens then the perfumers usables will become necessary in pvp
Just a note for Deathroot. Deathtouched Catacombs has a Deathroot in a chest at the end in the boss room. so that would be the easiest second to pick up.
My current run is incantations only build with jellyfish shield and clawmark seal using vow, sling, flame of frenzy, and black blade. I start bosses with the infinite fp physick, then use summon, shield buff, vow, and black blade. Physick really helps get summon and buffs off at the start of a boss and not have to worry about fp. Helps if you want to start off with something like elden stars, too. I mostly use flame of frenzy for groups or if I'm feeling a little bored of sling. I don't pvp, but the build has been great for pve.
I know this video is about incantations, but it's worth noting that the weapon skill of Commander Standard is an objectively better version of Golden Vow, giving you 20% attack and defense instead of 15%, and for less FP (also still affects allies as well)
I love the Swarm of flies. I beat the Godskin duo using Bernahl as a distraction and spamming the swarm. I didn't have to swing my weapon once and I didn't even get hit once.
catch flame is not on this list but it has honestly carried me hardcore in my incantations only playthrough. not to mention you can get it as soon as you get to the roundtable hold
@@dumbsterdives good point! i totally forgot i started with it and heal haha. with pebble being so great for being a starter sorcery, it definitely makes sense that there's an incantation equivalent for a low cost and still strong option.
Man; I wish we had more incantations like Black Blade. I wanna summon some fire swords lol Also; that single hit shield on perfume and wondrous physic is pretty good at eating invisible carian retaliation users.
My problem with the pest incantation is how damn slow it is. After seeing the pests shoot them in the blink of an eye, I thought the incantation would be just as amazing. Nope, instead I have a bunch of shots that move like they’re in slow motion. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Rotten breath is sooo good for pve, just a free rot debuff on most bosses, can take up to a quarter of their health over time from you just running away or dodging
My entire first playthrough I killed many enemies and bosses with it. Second playthrough I'm strong enough to Melee and I enjoy the fights I feel like cheesing bosses really is a loss to me.
Just a reminder that the debuff which reduce max health actually wears off after a while, so if you don’t kill boss quick enough you might see the boss “heal” itself.
This guide was very helpful when it came to finding the incantations, but i wish they said more about how they work with different builds and playstyles
Other nice thing about Bestial Sling-it combo casts into Claw and Stone. (And possibly other incants, haven't tested.) If you want to deal a little more damage from range or make sling more useful in pve, using it to chip in and skip the startup on your other beast spells is a good way to do it.
I ran a black blade build in my 2nd NG run. I would go into boss fights with just erdtree heal and black blade, using blasphemous blade +10, erdtree seal +10, and mimic tear +10. With that setup I defeated Malenia without getting hit once, and my mimic was also full HP given he did get hit but used the erdtree heal at some point. You use black blade every time destined death debuff drops on the target, and you just spam takers flames. Not the most fun for veterans, but a must-try for anyone wanting to crush HER soul for once!
Clawmark seal gets crazy high spell power at high STR and FTH... stone of gurranq has great range and insane stagger, with both faithful canvas talismans, godfrey icon, and maybe radagon icon or anything else you like, you can spam the charged claw spell (the one that does that weird sound, same as the vulgar militia one) you can really mow down hordes of enemies with it, catch people rolling with a super fast spell that's hard to dodge, use it to fake out opponents by charging it, and very spammable.
for lower faith builds, you can still use the golden vow AoW and get the minimum faith required for flame grant me strength, this is a good option for min-maxing at lower levels or pvp
Hey, a faster way to get 2 deathroot is by 1. killing the summonwater mariner, then 2. going to the deathtouched catacombs (you can also find the uchigatana there), pulling the lever, and killing the BK boss. He'll be at an immediate 60-55% upon entering, and they won't use any destined death attacks. the chest after killing it drops the second root.
Shout out to the black knife. The weapon art is just a smaller, weaker (yet still strong) version of black blade. Poor little guy doesn't get enough love.
My favorite spells are Bestial Sling and Garranqs Stone. Honestly they stagger well, they cast very fast, and it's physical damage. You can also cast both repeatedly very quickly. Bestial sling is soooooo good in pvp. It stops casts and attacks even against people with the highest poise. It's listed as like C tier by so many but it's honestly fantastic. They also both have very low fp cost
So far I have been enjoying the big Named scarlet rot Dragon Breath as well. Very good range, decent damage, scarlet rot and it just makes people panic. Even with bloodhound stepping around you will catch a few puffs and lose a lot of HP if you try to trade into it, can very much recommend. I thin it's 24 Faith and 16 Acrane to use it. Also to the Pest Threads, on big enemies when you are very close, the threads will tick for dmg multiple times. I had casts that did over 2k dmg on Dragons, it had some range but shines in close range against big things.
The incantations actually buff spell dmg too so its all around amazing. 0 reasons why you wouldnt use it. Its scales ashes lf wars too so scaling weapon dmg scales spells, incantations, ashes of war etc.
I was looking up Elden Ring tips and bam i click on a RageGaming Video. Havent been on bros channel sense the minecraft lets play muesum build. RIP the good days of minecraft. I still remember watching 52 episodes then being extremely sad 10 year old when he said. RageGaming Out.
Aside from Black Blade which has hyper armor, the other long incantations can really use that or some innate poise so they don't get interrupted easily There are ways to circumvent this like using Endure skill before casting, but it only lasts for 2 seconds so you're only safe for the startup which isn't enough for some incantations. The other option is using Ironjar Aromatic, which does provide excellent hyperarmor and defense but you're basically left as a turret spamming incantations because of your slow movement It'll be nice to get some more options to solve this issue if From has no plans to give these incantations hyperarmor
I run a faith int duel build, with 45/45 faith int. I've been having a lot of success(though I haven't fought enough shield poke and moonveil to know for sure how good my build is) but my favourite offensive incantations are catch flame, honed bolt(these 2 are great for chain casting), and aspect of the crucible breath(great against chasers), for sorceries I really like ancient death rancor for tracking and visual distraction, gavel of haima for massive aoe and range, and adula's moonblade for frost and mixups with catch flame. For defensive spells I like dragonbolt blessing which makes one handed attacks clang, golden vow(the ash of war version which casts way faster), and the funniest, law of regression, which nullifies EVERYTHING in a MASSIVE range around you. Beware it also nullifies your own buffs, but it also nullifies your debuffs, your opponent's physicks, seppukus, golden vows, literally everything except passive effects. I urge anyone with a lot of int to try law of regression.
@@bigt100 I have a dex faith build, and I use 37 dex + okina mask + radagon icon for the cast speed cap, and 80 faith for damage. The rest into vigor, some mind and endurance.
Many people hate revenants and Heal for a mere 32 FP, and my build now at 38 faith, is does like 2k damage to them and stance break them for a crit strike
My favorite is the “twin blade “and the next one is the spell of lightning spear + rocks comes from the sky , i fight bosses with it and crash them pretty quickly 👾
i shoukd not be here disclosing this because if this get out its going to be fixed but, you can chain uses of the incants that can be used repeatedly, for example, you can cast lighningt strike and then immediately honed bolt like it was another lightning strike, this is specially usefull to negate the starting casting time of both lighning strike and honing bolt, using first beast sling, because it has no starting casting time, so you can beast sling and instantly start calling lightning strikes, works also with dragon claw and gurranq stone to a much lesser use, but still you can just throw random bullshit at the enemy without pause, great for pvp
Ive already set this up in a great stun build. Bandit Curved sword dual with Cold frost on right hand and seppuku on left with a nice 87 poise and the hp from defeating enemies talisman with great increase to defense talisman. Incantations pest threads, and blood flies with 1 really recommended sorcery, that blood thorn aoe spell that u can spam 3 times (with 87 poise, straight swords and down cant stagger you out of this cast which is great). Its a 73 equip load in total, as someone who has never played a Souls game before and cant stand long strategic battles this build helps me face tank and not worry about wasting hp flasks.
Memorize blood flies, pest threads, and bestial sling in that order. The blood flies is just a "make them roll" in that case, switch to pest threads to do the spam and immediately go to cast bestial sling and you will almost always roll catch regular players.
If you use Pest Threads a lot you'll notice it doesn't have the range they claim it has in this video, and its damage appears to drop off as threads stop hitting and then disappear completely. However, up close this shreds things and where it really shines is on horseback. You can be facing any direction relative to your locked on target and this will go straight for them. Riding around a target or directly away from them doesn't matter. Spam away.
I don't wanna teach anyone this; because I hate using it. But blood flies landing once, will let you true combo bleed proc RoB. Black Blade is wildly good in PvP crazy hyper armor. Comes out fast and absolutely CHONKS. You can use the talisman of your choice to cast in your hand of choice, and then use the school buffing(bestial, gravel etc...) tali in the other to reap the benefits. This also works if you stack 2x Gravel etc.
With the death root gathering there's a crypt nearby saints bridge and if you head up the Cliffside (there's a path abit north west) you can find the entrance and there is a death root you can grab there
You also get the Golden Vow as an ash of war on the Golden Halberd that you get from killing the Tree Sentinel that is near the Church of Elleh. It's B strength, D Dex and D Faith scaling at level 10 so it's a good Strength Faith build weapon.
the single most powerful incantation is ancient lightning strike, it can deal up to 10k damage per cas depending on the size and resistances of the boss
You didn't list Rotten Breath? You get it from killing the Decaying Ekzykes near the Dragon church in Caelid. Super massive dragon breath incantation that deals really good damage AND applies Scarlet Rot to enemies. It absolutely shreds most bosses and scales off faith.
Mmm, if I’m feeling risky…ima use my jumping heavy if you’re in the air and I’m close enough. Only AoW that I’ve seen that I couldn’t knock them out of was the cloud from strike. I counter that with golden land.
My personal and unique build at 80 faith, 135 soul level. Bestial sling, lightning strike, black blade, giants fireball, flame of fell god (tracking move that keeps people from pressuring), decay breath and flame grant me strength (for damage). Gameplan: essential use flame of fell god for pressure and free casting, then use Bestial sling cancel into either lightning or black blade (black blade has some hyper armor once casted)
@@joshuaphilbert7995 yeah, sorry it's for pvp. In pve at 80 faith, you don't even need spells, just spam blasphemous blade lol. Decay is insane for pve as well
I think Swarm of Flies also deals fire damage. When using it against Miranda flowers you get the special effect, and I'm pretty sure the same thing happens with the carian hand things.
You didn't really mention the main reason why beastial sling is so widely used. It has immense stagger damage and interrupts even the thickest of builds. Also the quickcast spell swapping is nice but some people still assume thats a bug since it has so many buggy interactions.
I've been using Flame and Vow on a strength build. Honestly, Flame is the only one you want. While Vow is good, 50fp is actually fairly hefty for a worse damage buff, and the damage negation buff is physical only, plus isn't actually that good, with a long cast time as well. It saddens me that some of the better types of Miracles we had in DS3, like Lightning Stake and Lightning Arrow don't have any sort of variation in ER. Used to run a 60 faith Lightning Goddess build, poking with Lightning Arrows, and doing HUGE damage smashing Lightning into someone's aggressive face. Incredibly satisfying

But with so many incantations discovered, I never seem to wanna use any of them. Needed a list like this: Clear, concise, and you show where to get em. Perfect, thanks again dude.
Same here, I was completely lost because I usually stick to melee builds in soulsborne games. It's great to find videos like that

I will eventually beat her legit with either gransax or astel blades but bloodflies for now until i can dodge her water dance close and mid range

I secretly wish Black flame spells was holy damage to work with black blade better.

rotten breath is definitely my favorite, it does great damage, has long range, and almost always procs the rot in one cast

Amen. That incantation is a life saver in certain areas.
Frostbite too since it does fire damage
Great video! Running a strength faith build currently so this is helpful
Buffed up this one is no joke for my 2nd placidusax kill in ng+3 I dropped the f'er in one cast
Scarlet aeonia is another excellent one but sometimes the damage you take while casting and cast recovering just isn't worth eating your potions up to get your health back

You have to give Millicent the prosthetic from shaded castle for gowrey to sell pest threads
Thanks, I was wondering why they didn't clarify that.
Dude ty I was so confused why he didn't sell it for me
Just thought I'd throw this out there but to get Sage Gowry to sell the Pest Threads incantation, you have to progress the Millicent questline up to the point where you give her the Prosthesis. Hopefully, that clears up any confusion
Bro I just checked the quest line and it’s longgg asffff
I haven’t got any of the endgame incantations yet but frenzied burst has been a great spell, has high damage and a better range than lightning spear, plus penetration when charged
A lot of people are sleeping on Dragonmaw. It is the only dragon incant and maybe the only incant in game that has innate hyperarmor. You will take the incoming damage of course but in no way you will get interrupted and it deals a lot of damage which makes it very potent.
I just learned that 3 people run this channel and that’s really cool
The Swarm of Flies you can get very early (for how actually powerful it is vs anything that bleeds) by simply following Palemask quest (most difficult to figure out on your own is finding the Finger Maiden) - then use the item you get at the end of it, so you get early access to Swarm of Flies and Somber Smithing Stone 10 (if you can run fast).
One thing I want to note: I'm doing a "war cleric" type build and have used both golden vow as well as flame grant me strength. Flame Grant me strength seems to have a shorter duration than golden vow, meaning you'll need to reapply it more often.
That said, if you're running physical and fire damage, it's a much more significant boost for a smaller fp cost
flame grant me strenght is 30 seconds golden vow is 3 times that
Forget the name but there is a talisman that increases spell duration by a good bit, 30% i believe
They stack though. Golden vow is an aura and FGMS is a personal buff.

Super vid brother. Gave me great happiness to follow and got me some missed incantations

When I use pest threads, at 50 faith, it barely does 10 damage per hit and never staggers.
I guess it's been nerfed.
I know this video is about incantations, but it's worth noting that the weapon skill of Commander Standard is an objectively better version of Golden Vow, giving you 20% attack and defense instead of 15%, and for less FP (also still affects allies as well)
Hmmm...
No mention of Vyke’s Dragonbolt? I’ve really like it only issue it is a weapon buff so it only goes on raw standard type weapons.

catch flame is not on this list but it has honestly carried me hardcore in my incantations only playthrough. not to mention you can get it as soon as you get to the roundtable hold

My problem with the pest incantation is how damn slow it is. After seeing the pests shoot them in the blink of an eye, I thought the incantation would be just as amazing. Nope, instead I have a bunch of shots that move like they’re in slow motion.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Just in time, i was about to start my NG+ faith run and needed tested ideas on which incantation to use
If you’re talking about opaline bubble only reason I keep it in the flask in pvp is when people exploit the carian retaliation bug.
I'm surprised that Flame, Cleanse Me didn't get an honorable mention, it cleanses the build up and the status for scarlet rot and poison.
Glad you mentioned the invader. Went there after watching another video and got a big surprise.
I'd have never stacked Flame Grant me Strength and Golden Vow if you hadn't mentioned I could. Thanks!

RADAGON'S RINGS OF LIGHT is really good too. Charged the range is impressive. Though it requires 31 int and faith
Rotten breath is pretty sick. Best one I've come across so far.
Thank you so much. I didn't know how to use them and therefore didn't use the 40% dmg buff I could have used so many times.
The incantations actually buff spell dmg too so its all around amazing. 0 reasons why you wouldnt use it. Its scales ashes lf wars too so scaling weapon dmg scales spells, incantations, ashes of war etc.

Aside from Black Blade which has hyper armor, the other long incantations can really use that or some innate poise so they don't get interrupted easily
There are ways to circumvent this like using Endure skill before casting, but it only lasts for 2 seconds so you're only safe for the startup which isn't enough for some incantations. The other option is using Ironjar Aromatic, which does provide excellent hyperarmor and defense but you're basically left as a turret spamming incantations because of your slow movement
It'll be nice to get some more options to solve this issue if From has no plans to give these incantations hyperarmor
Try 60 dex and 60 faith i swear I be throwing spells out so fast

Spam away.
Heads up to any Invader who having trouble with Frenzied Burst spam it can be parried by Carian Retaliation though the timing is very precise.
And extremely slow and inconsistent
You didn't list Rotten Breath? You get it from killing the Decaying Ekzykes near the Dragon church in Caelid. Super massive dragon breath incantation that deals really good damage AND applies Scarlet Rot to enemies. It absolutely shreds most bosses and scales off faith.
Worth mentioning that Black Blade is one of the few incants with super armor

Gameplan: essential use flame of fell god for pressure and free casting, then use Bestial sling cancel into either lightning or black blade (black blade has some hyper armor once casted)
Is this a pvp game plan? I feel flame of the fell god is borderline useless in PvE even though it looks badass.

I think Swarm of Flies also deals fire damage. When using it against Miranda flowers you get the special effect, and I'm pretty sure the same thing happens with the carian hand things.
It does blood damage not fire. 😆
