I know I’m replying to the wrong video, but I save so many of your recipes I didn’t even try 😅: Thank you for the recent red curry paste replacement recipe. I know you mentioned it’s not an exact replacement, but it will come in really handy & love being able to adjust the seasonings. Especially when I’ve given up on spending $ on tiny jars of it from the grocery store that don’t pack much of a flavor punch. Also appreciate your recipes overall, including that in the videos you’ll do variations from the written recipe. I almost never follow recipes exactly based on what I have on hand, health reasons and $.
love this read! thank you so much for sharing! Im also with you when it comes to making recipes, even my own, i try my best to use whats on hand. cant leave nothing to waste!
I absolutely love doing cauliflower steaks in this fashion. Butter beans was a great choice since they cook so easily. Swapping out half basil and half cilantro or sub it out completely. As always an amazing job as always. 🤎
For me there is Sweet potato pie, sweet potato cinnamon rolls (sweet potato soul's recipes, she always has a bit of hot involved), and a tofu wellington (cuz everything is better in pastry)
Wow, this recipe looks great. Made me hungry!!! Sure going to make this soon, maybe today, Thanksgiving- not sure I have all ingredients ( stores are closed). Your tips really help prepare meal. Thanks. God bless you from grandma Katie in Oregon
I love that you mentioned that we could sub something in place of the pesto. Well I do really enjoy pesto, I rarely ever have the ingredients on hand. I could see some kind of creamy lemony sauce being really nice on this.
I really love to watch your videos, they are so inspiring! I try not to use any oil for health reasins/issues, so my meals may taste a little more boring. Thank you for sharing !
I SO agree! I eat PBWF but no oil. If you want to know WHY no oil check out plant based doctors (for instance, Dr Michael Gregor, Dr John McDougall), “many of the top leading plant-based doctors recommend the elimination of oil in the diet for improved health…oils are considered a refined, processed fat.” “Oils have been shown to have a negative impact on endothelial function, the cells that line our arteries,” and so much more. Love your channel, tho’, and I just eliminate the added oil.
Andrew I'm seeing you like for your foods to touch only you mixing n not overly blending of everything..lol, I dont like my foods touching..imma try this one for sure.
Two things that don't make it through the door of my house.... 1) Glitter and 2) Pine Nuts. I LOVE PESTO and the many forms it comes in. Too often it only gets served with pasta dishes. Nice use of it here but would for sure use cashews. The butter beans... When you put the vinegar in I was taken back to my German mothers scalloped potatoes. Butter beans are totally under utilized in my life. Dads + sides = pace yourself old man. Holiday eating... Sides and desserts... Stretchy pants... I mean... GAME ON! :). Keep up the great work! PEEEEEEEEEEEAAAACCCCCCE!
New here, so glad I've found you. Making so many recommendations to friends and family. ALSO to being new here... What does Andrew do with all the scraps........ 🤔 might have to do a deep dive to older vids.
Nailed it. The recipe, the comments and suggestions. Couldn't have said it better myself. And I want to start a You Tube channel just to go over mistakes people not like you make. Best wishes to you and your lovely family. Much Peace and Love from Upstate NY.
Good question! If you could prep and bring to cook where you are going that would be best. It reheats pretty good in an air fryer or back in the oven and "ok" in the microwave.
I'm thinking you could prep the beans since they would reheat the best and roast the cauliflower on site if you feel like you can't do all of it when you arrive.
Looks delicious. I’m with you on the garlic. There’s no such thing as too much. I make a similar bean dish but I add escarole, veg broth and olive oil and serve it over grilled bread. Re: cauliflower steaks - why not combine the spices with the oil and then brush it on? Much more even coating.
This may not persuade my non-vegan fam BUT I am making this for myself cause I deserve an elegant, interesting dish too :D Cauliflower steaks, butter beans and pesto are just such fantastic ingredients and together they must make a lovely, satisfying meal!
Have you ever considered making vegan pasties? I love pasties because of thier portability and the sheer variety of savory fillings, and I think they can be easily veganized for the modern veggie-lover.
Hi Scarlet. I have two similar recipes on my website. I haven't done videos for them yet, but you can check them out here if you like. makeitdairyfree.com/vegan-empanadas/ makeitdairyfree.com/authentic-vegan-jamaican-beef-patty/
I’ve always been intimidated by a head of cauliflower especially how to clean it and break it down so I buy frozen. But this looks good. I’m going to try this week! Plus, you had me at (Jamaican accent) “but-ta beans”.
I got a really good jackfruit tip. You boil it after it's out of the can, then drain it and put it in the oven to dry out a bit. According to the person I talked to, that drying out is key to jackfruit being able to absorb the other flavors you're using and just have an overall more enjoyable bite.
Thank you for another delicious recipe. I'm trying to "convert" my parents to a vegan diet but they fall into the misinformed community of "I can't be vegan bc I need protein and calcium for my bones" I've tried to explain to them that veggies have that but alas
😋Yo excuse my language but this was sexy cauliflower for me and dinner 🍽️ tonight I love pesto and butter beans and I am a new plant based/ vegan gal so love your channel ❤

That looks so good, I love roasted cauliflower
We use pistachios in our fresh pasta and in a pinch - half pistachios half blanced almonds. This looks so yummy.
I don't think I can wait until the holidays to make this! Definitely going into the rotation this week. Looks so good!
LOL. I dont blame you!
I’m gonna second that! Looks amazing and for meal prep too, can’t wait!
@@thenarddogcooks do you have a chimichurri recipe?
This hits every mark, Andrew. I'm so down for this! Thank you, thank you. 💗

I will be adding this one to the Thanksgiving Feast! A question for you @TheNerdDog , how does it reheat? I have to carry it about 1 hour away.
NArdDog! reference to the Office.
I made this before and I personally do not like reheating them. If possible, prep everything in your pan and bake them where you're going.

What leftover cauliflower florets? They're for snacking on while you cook. I kinda have a weakness for cauliflower though, it's one of my favorites.
Nice one again Nard Dog 😋
When you said "I almost sound like I'm a barber" it made me think of something. How long does it take you to grow your beard that long?
took me a little over a year to get the length. been trimming it back every since.
