I think Joffrey meant well when he approached Criston. Less blackmail and more "Bro we're both fucking the royal couple. How cool is that? Anyway, please don't snitch on me or I'll snitch on you." but Criston, already stressed and mentally unwell took it as a threat and caved his skull in.
I think Joffrey was trying to show off that he was now part of the royal 'in' crowd; and it fatally backfired, because Ser Crispy was sick of whispers and secrets concerning Rhaenyra, especially concerning sex and honor and he snapped.

If you go back to episode 1 it was Otto who suggested Rhaenyra to be named heir over daemon. He then sent Alicent to get close to the king knowing Viserys would have to remarry and would most likely choose his daughter. Alicent would bare a son and then he would be named heir, however, Otto did not take into account that this would be the one thing he couldn’t manipulate the king into doing. He miscalculated how much Viserys loved his first wife and daughter. Otto is full of bullshit because he set Rhaenyra up for alllll this shit, because between going against Daemon or Rhaenyra for the throne he believed Rhaenyra would be the easiest to get rid of. He played his stupid games and won stupid prizes.
That males nonsense. Being Daemon Viserys brother, as soon as Viserys got a Son, Daemon was discarded. There would not been any dispute. Tinha are diferente with Rhae, that his Viserys Daughter.
I personally think part of the reason that the king sped up the wedding was to prevent any possibility of Daemon even attempting to marry Rhaenyra. The King definately believes that there's something happening between Daemon and his daughter, he's obviously seen how she is around him & he wouldn't have sent that tea if he didn't think something was going on. And I mean, he did say he wants to marry her and now that his wife is dead there's nothing stopping him and Viserys seemed like he knew Daemon has something to do with lady Rhea's death.
I think it's VERY clear maester mellos is working for Otto, refused the other maester using his own herbs instead using leaches bc it "brings comfort" despite the king dying. News of the tea also somehow leaked
Mellos smells like shit. Played Good Cop to Otto's Bad Cop in maggot conversation about Viserys marrying Leana. Backed the disinheritance of Daemon. Sent the tea to Rhaenyra but do we really know if that was the King's command? That doesn't track if the King was convinced by Allicent that she remained a virgin. And who told Larys Strong about the tea? Yeah, the Grand Maester smells like shit.
It's even worse when you realize she's the reason he's even apart of the Kings Guard to begin with... Bro is mad selfish, he didn't want to run away for her sake he wanted to run away to save face.
@@dontreadmyprofilepicture8817selfish? Criston literally did a vow to the kings guard and rhynera the future queen being wet and going for a knight a guard a kings guard to fulfill her lust and acting like it's OK its her problem
Yes he messed up. His job meant he couldn't have sex. Now he gets to have it with the boss. I can understand initially - emotions are emotions fair enough,be a bit upset because you got rejected but - get over it my man!
Everyone stopped and stared at the queen because she was wearing green, the color of her house. If you notice in previous episodes she wore red/blk for house T.
People say Otto has a point telling alicent that rhaenyra will have to kill her sons!!like bruh you pushed your daughter to seduce the king & forcing her to marry him to have your blood on the throne, you decide that war happens and rhaenyra will kill her sons just as he decides that daemon isn't fit for the throne constantly disrespecting her & talking shit about him behind his back like a craven he is.. Like.. He has no right to the prince like that, drives wedge between the 2 brothers, when that rumor about daemon & rhaenyra got to him he didn't do his job like people say,he got so excited to tell the king so that he might banish daemon again he didn't think clearly that this will backfire at himself for spying on the princess & got banished bcs of it..
I just realized that Criston must’ve seen Rhaynera and Daemon. His eyes were glued on her all night. Might’ve been another thing to push him over the edge.
Otto literally set it up to get his family on the throne. He didn’t realize anything no one was going to challenge Rhaenrya with Velaryons in the fold unless daemon decided to go to war which he proved the only people he’s shown any kind of respect for are Targaryens and Velaryons.
Exactly especially if Alicent was on board with Rhaenyra who was really going to do anything about it? People would complain in private but nobody was going to fight them if they all united.
But Otto was right. No matter what happened, rhaenyra's rule would be filled with bloodshed. Viserys would have married someone else, and would have had another son, and more likely than not his new wife would be even more opposed to rhaenyra than alicent(since she knew her personally). He just made sure it was his family that climbed the ladder. He's the same as Corlys, just a bit subtle about what he's doing. A very well written character.
I mean people rebelled against Maegor who had Dragons, because he alienated the Faith. Not to mention Absolute Primogeniture be accepted by the Royal Family is going to throw a lot of successions out of wack all over Westeros, So even if people don't directly rebel against the Crown they're going to be plenty of internal conflicts some of which will get bloody, as Sister's and Brothers and Aunts fight over the Castles and Land and Vassals of their families.
Valyrian steel is not named after the Velaryons. The names sound similar, but the Valyrians are the race of the people from Valyria, like the Targaryens. In the books the Velaryons look just like Targaryens because they're both Valyrian, but the Velaryons did not make or invent Valyrian steel, thats an ancient thing from Valyria which likely requires blood magic to make.
Yeah that's the sort of thing I would have expected them to change for the show, it's confusing when you're just hearing it instead of reading it. In the old Game of Thrones show, they changed Asha's name to Yara, because they didn't want to have a badass woman named Asha *and* a badass woman named Osha.
if velaryon house is from valyria just like the targaryens and supposed to look just like them, why did they go with this casting choice? why didnt they pick POC for other houses (i dont mind it, just a question. I love the actor playing corlys)
@@extra6839 In a word... NETTLES! There, from my understanding, was one thought that she was Daemon's lover but another said she was his 'daughter' and she IS (in the book) a young Black woman. I think the show is going to go with her being his daughter (or Granddaughter) well after he is able to marry his niece and he has lost his wife: Leanor, Coryl's daughter.
@@extra6839 Because valyrians are quite literally superior to others in this world so I'm sure they wanted to put black people in their position because that is the trend in modern media. But it is also because it can (almost) kinda be explained. The show runners suggested that Corlys's mother was a Summer Islander since we don't know her in the books and the Velaryons are seafarers so they would have connections to the Summer Isles, making Corlys half black. They didn't cast someone who looks half black and his grandchildren look pretty black too even though that doesn't make sense if only one of their great-grandparents are black, but thats their excuse anyway. Thats how they xould explain the Velaryons being black and valyrian. Thoguh it is a bit weird that they keep calling them pure valyrian when they're supposed to be half summer islander in the show. In the books it makes sense since it is assumed that they marry other valyrians to keep that pure label, but here it is clearly not the case. So it is a bit weird, but it is at least somewhat explainable in the world compared to making the Hightowers or House Strong black for example, that wouldn't work. Though funnily enough the casting for the Hightowers might be a bit off aswell, because the Hightowers are said to have some valyrian features since it is suggested that before the valyrians rose in Valyria, some of them settled in the far east and in Oldtown. Meaning that the Hightowers should look a bit valyrian aswell. That also explains why none of Alicents children got Hightower features. But this would make literally every major character in the show pale with silver blond hair other than criston Cole, whom has dark hair but isn't Dornish in the books, it's actually very weird to make him Dornish since he is a Stormlander under House Dondarrion, the ones who fight Dorne the most since they border eachother. Same againw ith Daemons prostitute friend. In the books she too has valyrian features but is asian in the show. Alot of weird casting choices in the show since it makes the period in time feel less mythical with all the great houses still there. A time with more than 10 dragons and many Targaryens and Hightowers, it should really feel a bit grander. But it's still great.
@@vergil8833 Completely agree with you, yea. Here's the thing, thinking about the Targaryen dynasty of the time and especially the Dance of Dragons with Targs vs Targs I always imagined everybody in the Kingdom at the time to be platinum hair waging wars against each other. Not only with the Velaryons but when I saw the trailers for the show, it seemed like any other medieval shows with a few a limited platium haired people in there. Not the image I conceived and probably not what George had in mind. I mean like the show though. But when they thought about the Targ dynasty it was different. You raise a good point as well how all the Hightowers seem to have brown hair and yet her children will have blond/platinum hair.
I legit thought Viserys was dead in the bathtub, it was so cinematic with the clouds as he closed his eyes and slumped. The Velaryon family ate with that entrance.
Cole hitting Daemon from behind during the tournament in episode 1 is symbolic by the way. It shows what he is about to do to the main house Targaryen.
The Queens entrance was a moment because for one she arrived late to the party which is not okay and 2 wearing green honoring her banner man Highertower.
I don't know if anybody's mentioned this yet but they didn't make Valyrian steel. Their house name is "Velaryon", both the Velaryon and Targaryen families are "Valyrian" referring to where they originated from which is Valyria. This is why it's such a big deal that they marry into each other since Valyria was the home of all the dragonlords before it was destroyed.
Alicent has also lost her mind. She was flirting with Rhaenyra’s dad for months without telling her and was upset that Rhaenyra was mad about it. Rhaenyra bangs one guy and Alicent takes it like a personal attack.
It made much more sense in the books she was 18 when they got married and was 9 years older than Rhaenyra im guessing they just made them the same age in the show to make it look like a bigger betrayal.
Yeah like the guy said, I think Alicent is more upset that her friend lied to her face, but I'm also betting that a lot of it is jealousy. Alicent is trapped in a loveless marriage with a sick old man where all she does is lay back and have babies, while Rhaenyra is out having flings of passion with handsome men.
This isn't the start of them losing the throne. We know they still have the throne for another 170 years. Otto orchestrated their entire mess. He manipulated the king to name Rhaenyra heir knowing he was going to try to get his daughter married to Viserys. Viserys however refused to change the heir and Viserys then tried to discredit Rhaenyra. Rhaenyra beat him at his own game by getting rid of him. Alicent is a massive hypocrite as she was sneaking around with her best friend's dad. Criston just proved he has no honour or self control. Rhaenyra dodged a bullet.
Otto only did that because he doesnt want Deamon to become king, you cant disregard his viewpoint. The civil war was unavoidable, Rhaenyra would either have to fight the hightowers or the Valerion if the king wed Leana. The king cause this mess, if he wants Rhaenyra to become queen he should have never marry anyone, he is a weak king but a good man. Alicent got force by her father so not really her fault. The problem with Criston is that he has to much honor. Honor and his vows as a kingsguard means everything to him and without it he is nothing, he rather die than live on! He didnt got mad at Rhaenyra because she rejected him, but because she got him to break his vows and he wants to repent by any means, first by trying to marry her but fails so he pretty much wants to die, that is why he told everything to Alicent and beg her to kill him and later on went to off himself at the godtree.
I’m pretty sure this was the start of their fall though. At the beginning I think they come out and say this was the height of the Targaryen rule, which mean everything after this beginnings the decline. Also, in game of thrones they give a summary of the show and say that they never really recover from what’s about to happen through character dialogue. Even though it’s 170 years (at the start) before GOT that really isn’t that many generations removed. Like 3 I think
The ending montage was my favorite moment so far. Give me the aesthetics of the red hue of the weirdwood tree glowing in twilight, give me the flickering lights, give me the gloomy ambience of a GoT wedding with an equally gloomy soundtrack & hook it to my veins! The slightly overlooked heartfelt exchange Otto & Alicent had at the beginning was the most significant moment of the episode imo. Otto’s not wrong. You either hope for Rhaenyra’s mercy in the future or you act now. It's the Tywin Jaime "we can establish a dynasty that last a thousand years" moment for the show. The events at the wedding sets up the first chess pieces for Dance of Dragons. This is the episode where the Greens come into their own. *Rhaenyra and Laenor were exchanging wedding vows, but it was Alicent and Criston who were getting “married”*
I don't think Rhaenyra thought that situation with Ser Criston through. She's thinking like Daemon, that she can do her duties and still do what she wants. When in reality that never works, she's not thinking in Ser Criston position. Even thought she probably wouldn't end in a mess and her being young, but her actions might have consequences. And Ser Criston did like her in someway, but I really think he wanted to marry for make up his honor. And the Alicent and Rhaenyra was doom from the start the day Alicent married the king. The truce they made last episode wasn't going to last. Now all hell is going to break loose. BTW, the king isn't dead, he's still alive in the next trailer episode.
Rob forgets that it was Otto’s idea to name Rhaenyra as heir in the first place. So any war that results from that is his fault. First he convinced the King to name Rhaenyra as heir, then he forced his daughter to marry the king and have his children... So if her children are in danger, it’s his fault.
Rob and Wellz yall so team green 💀 or at least before the very end. most of the ep talm bout “alicent gone make aegon king let’s goo” “rhaenyra move sloppy like jada” “she lied I get why she mad” “how could criston say no when it’s the PRINCESS she ruined his honor she wasn’t considerate” 1. aegon bout to be a joffrey pt 2 so this ain’t no “let’s gooo” 🤣 you’ll see soon 2. robbie, rhaenyra wanted to choose who she wanted to lose her V to, which ain’t a bad thing? instead of it being forced w someone she doesn’t care for like alicent was with viserys she wanted her own agency. not every woman wants to follow societies bs rules, and it’s not her fault alicent conformed to those rules/the patriarchy, it’s so sexist to think she can’t do so like other men in the show have casual sex, women too even with high titles. daenerys had two side pieces as princess and as (was soon to be in S8) queen, cersei secretly had sex at night w her younger cousin etc. Men and women in power have had casual sex and nothing happened to them bc they kept it lowkey. This mf just ratted their secret out in .001 seconds, folding immediately w barely any questioning 😴 just ratted her out bc he can’t think before he acts and let the guilt talk for him. 3. she may not have told alicent that she lost her maidenhood but did alicent make it a safe space for her to open up? No 😂 she acted incredibly judgmental and disgusted by her and daemon, mocked her family’s inbreeding, and didn’t make rhaenyra even feel COMFORTABLE to open up about any man she might’ve been with. That was not a supportive friend and I wouldn’t have felt comfortable to share it either w her “friend” standing on a pedestal w her old school misogynistic morals and values (yet she f*cked rhaenyra’s dad behind her back for 6 months) if she would’ve been more chill maybe nyra woulda told her. she do t go no right to be crying shaking and throwing up over another womens sex life esp “but- she lied to me about not being a virgin” that ain’t no good reason to become somebody’s enemy 🤣 pettiness reason for a war between royals within the same family EVER. like..let’s think about that uncalled for anger for a second..bc her friend ain’t tell her who she had s*x with 💀 weird as hell. If I was rhaenyra I would tell her to stop fretting over MY sex life, go raise ya kids meemaw. 4. Simple, it was HIS choice, he put his cloak down, no matter how fire the targussy may be he a grown man messing w a 18 yr old, have some self control. he ain’t even a virgin and didn’t know how to control himself, he folded real easily under 5 seconds of seduction. let this grown man carry an L for expecting way too much from a young women, the crown and future queen whom he knows has been searching for a noble man to marry for her father and the realm. he was most definitely a “munch” who was acting sprung and selfish for the sake of “his” honor. couldn’t just be her side piece and be chill could he..just had to spaz out after ONE night. boy bye. it wasn’t alicents business to where she had to act so disgusted by it it’s not like she did get pregnant before she got married so really it wasn’t that deep but she made it that deep to use that as a reason to turn on her since her father was already manipulating her too, that’s what solidified her position against her, that she lost her V and lied about it so since she’s a liar “I should raise her younger brother to usurp her so that she doesn’t kill them”💀 As if rhaenyra would EVER want to hurt them. yes war will come, but it’s bc of alicent raising her children to hate rhaenyras side of the family and the targaryens that causes the blood feud. she’s fighting to keep the patriarchy when rhaenyra and viserys are the more progressive ones wanting a queen to rule for the first time. I ain’t defending alicent for repping a sexist society, that’s boring and it’s the same old thing. Even the white stag found her, as in the gods even believe she is the right ruler, the white stag didn’t show up for aegon on his birthday it appeared to her. so despite what men want, the gods knew better than to believe in aegon. and we’ll soon see why once we meet aegon 😮💨 it’s going to be bad.
Yoooo y'all got me in tears ... yall done killed the king like seven times during the episode..... lol he still alive in the trailer for next week and its set ten years in the future.... he got good insurance
Otto got booted because of his manipulations and putting Alicent closer to the king, Rhaenyra just opened Viserys' eyes. Rhaenyra is not at fault here.
Visery's already knew about Otto. He just didn't care because he thinks that members of his council having their own agenda's is something to be expected, and unless they commit some major treason he has no reason do alienate them.
nah he got booted because rhaenyra is a spoiled child and viserys is an idiot otto literally did nothing wrong he's just trying to avoid war but viserys and rhaeyra just don't care
I love the Velaryons. I think they're the most likeable family in this series so far. I liked the disrespect Corlys showed Viserys by not greeting him outside. Viserys dissed Corlys in Ep 1 & 2.
Without a doubt this show is the best show on 📺 by several miles !! And as a book reader I'm happy the runner's actually showcase the strength of sir Harwin Strong aka breakbones 💪💯
I think you misunderstood something there, Valaryian steel doesn't come from House Velaryon, it's from Old Valarya, the runied City of Essos, once the capital of the great Empire. It's the ancestrial home of House Targaryen, Velaryon and Celtigar. Valaryan and Velaryon may sound similar but one is a city, the other is a Household.
I really liked the bit where Otto gave Alicent a hug after he dropped the Truth N T on her. It shows he really does love her despite also using her as a pawn.
Rob is so fucking weird man. I just don't get how his thought process works. He does not realize Lyonel Strong was actually the one who referred Rhaenyra to marry Laenor, but since he said 'where is lord corlys, why did he not come to greet the king' at Driftmark, Rob is just hating every word Lyonel speaks even though he is a good hand. So fucking weird, maybe it's to do with Lyonel asking where Corlys is since he is black. The show does not dwell on that, but Rob can't get his head out of it. Such one dimensional personality.
They kind of rushed this episode. Because in the book during the Eight days of Tournament they were supposed to get after their marriage. Joffrey gets killed by Ser Criston during a jousting tourney, not at the wedding. But Criston becomes the sworn Shield of Alicent Hightower afterwards and Harwin Strong becomes Rhaenyra’s.
Yall are saying Otto is right about the realm not accepting Rhaenyra as Queen but that's only because Otto is the one fostering all of this dissent about it. He could be doing the opposite by encouraging people to accept Rhaenyra and he would likely be successful. Remember, it was Otto who suggested to Viserys that he name Rhaenyra as heir in the first place and he got people to support him in that suggestion which, in combination with Daemon pissing off Viserys, is what ultimately contributed greatly to Viserys naming her his heir to begin with. Secondly, I think it's highly unlikely Rhaenyra would have Alicents children killed. If she truly wanted that, she could have gone all Cersei Lannister and colluded with one of the Lords that swore fealty to her as the heir to have Aegon killed in his crib or something. That being said, while I believe Rhaenyra never would have killed Alicents kids....Daemon definitely would have lmaooooo. And lmao Cole is trippin bigtime, imagine thinking your dick game is good enough for me to give up my entire inheritance, my dragon and everything lmaoooo. Clown. Joffery was messy asf tryna threaten him tho lmao
Apparently in the books, Larys (the guy who told Alicent about the tea) is basically a better version of Varys and Peter Baelish. He basically makes them look like amateurs.
Best episode yet. Alicent and Otto scene was the highlight. But the tension at the wedding and how it was shot was amazing. I can’t wait till their kids start fighting. That’s when things get crazy. This is just the beginning of the blood fest and scheming.
Smartest? was dissing Lyonel Strong for no reason just because he has mad bias to Corlys for being black. Even though Lyonel was backing them before, so isn't really that smart

Otto made Rhanerya heir due to his hatred of Dameon. He then pimped his daughter out to get her married to the king. He deserves what he got. Viserys never should have gone to Drift mark. He should have summoned Corlys and Rhaneys to court. One more way to show his weakness. If I'm king/queen and I pull up and you're not out to greet me properly, bye.
As for alicent I can sympathize with her I know she is being pushed by her father into this but she is not reasonable for holding grudge against rhaenyra, that was dramatic of her, rhaenyra half lied & half told the truth, & alicent doesn't know that rhaenyra indirectly told her father take Otto away but even if she did she shouldn't blame rhaenyra neither viserys, I mean what does she expect? If someone is spying on you & waiting every moment to find a fault in you & make your father stripe away crown princess title from you to make his own grandson inherit the throne. It's Otto's own fault for being a sneaky bitch he is always & what he said wasn't the truth. And rhaenyra won't have to kill alicent's sons as long as they don't stand against her and most lords have sworn loyalty already & they don't dare to stand against her with 10 dragons under their control? So alicent you don't have good reasons to be against rhaenyra & hold grudge against her.. Being angry with her for half lying to her while she first went to get near his father starting the first night of her mother's funeral 🙄
Fun fact: Ser Criston's beating Joffrey was unscripted. The actor just got PTSD flashbacks of the original series' Joffrey and started beating the crap out of the other character with the same name and it was caught on camera. The beating was so severe and brutal they couldn't continue filming so they had to roll with the take and write it in to the story.
Love Alicent, and great reactions and thoughts here Good input on Otto, and more aswell! You brought up things hadnt considered.. Was awesome to hear the discussions Will be great to follow along
Otto Hightower makes me sick, telling his daughter that Rhaenyra will put his grandkids to the sword, well she wouldn't if he wouldn't try to install them on the throne AND it was Otto Hightower's idea for Viserys to name Rhaenyra the heir but then he decided to pump his daughter out to the King to give him heirs and now he sees that Viserys never intended on removing Rhaenyra as heir just because he got married and had a son which angers Otto Hightower.
In the big picture, it really was stupid of Joffrey to try and intimidate Ser Criston. The man's a kingsguard at a royal wedding. He can easily justify murdering Lonmouth by claiming he was attempting assassination of Rhaenerya of something of that ilk. Point is people expect a kingsguard to go off on people if they suspect something.
It sucks that Laenor had to see the man who killed the person he loved in cold blood for no good reason go unpunished every single day after that. Shit would have driven me crazy.
Actually Joffrey did NOT blackmail Cole at all. Idk why there’s so much split arguments online about Joff “blackmailing” Cole. If that was the case then why would Joff OUT him and his MALE lover to him …. that would not be the smartest move. He only mentioned it because he knew they shared something in common which was the fact that they have lovers who are looked at as basically big “NO-NO’s” if you will. Joffrey LOVED Laenor like the chemistry was definitely there and he wanted to make sure their love was safe so I don’t think he would’ve jeopardized both of their lives. Cole was just losing his mind because in reality the queen side-duded him and he felt like he had nothing to lose since he already stained his honor and broke OATH. Therefore, he became noticeably unstable and projected it onto someone who could have been an ally. Joffrey was 100% innocent …. Idk how some ppl don’t see that. If anyone is to blame its definitely Cole and he should’ve dug that sword in like he was gonna but Alicent had to just stop him…I actually lost respect for Cole cus that was so uncalled for like pummeling his face in … really? Cole WAS actually one of my favs too… but I hope Rhaenyra never forgives him either
Joffrey( the guy that got bodied) also slapped Criston on the ass as he was walking off, it's really quick, but it's there - that pushed him over the edge. Team Black all the way, this is Rhaenyra's crown, they all pledged fealty to her in front of the King. Otto is a snake!
but if it was otto who sent his daughter to get into viserys's bed so that his family would have more power knowing that rhaenyra was going to become the heiress to the throne otto himself was the one who put his daughter alicent in that position that's why rhaenyra has to defend against them
it might be worth noting that Valaryon (the house) and Valeriya (the birthplace of Targaryen and Valaryon and where the steel is from) are two different things completely
It makes no sense for Criston to be left alive. Surely, Leanor will get him killed or Lord Corlys will ask for his head after punching his heir🙄 Viserys would be stupid not to punish him but he won't because we need Criston in the Dance of Dragons...I want a practical reason for Leanor not to seek revenge lol

He played his stupid games and won stupid prizes.
That's right
Facts
That males nonsense.
Being Daemon Viserys brother, as soon as Viserys got a Son, Daemon was discarded. There would not been any dispute.
Tinha are diferente with Rhae, that his Viserys Daughter.
1/4 On Weddings Right?😂 Only Successful Wedding I Know Happened Under A Tree In Secret
He did try to fix it by suggesting rhaenyra marry aegon but still Otto did fuck up
I personally think part of the reason that the king sped up the wedding was to prevent any possibility of Daemon even attempting to marry Rhaenyra.
+bob bob I thought that too but then he drunk that vial and died soon after. Maybe he was poisoned??
Uh, leeches do help? They’re an actual healing method.
cristen cole literally had a free pass to be the queen of the realms side piece and said “but my white cloak” 😭
If she was fast she'd have said
You get a silver cloak!
targussy really had him actin up
It's even worse when you realize she's the reason he's even apart of the Kings Guard to begin with...
Viserys is a good dude but too dumb to realize that she basically divorced him at that moment lol
'We Light The Way 🟢'
The color of her house is not green. The Hightower sigil is made of white, grey, and red. The green comes from the beacon on the Hightower.
Nah
Many will support Aegon and most will definitely refuse Raenrya kids for obvious reasons
Exactly

How can a character with such a presence? Daemon Targaryen, wherever he goes he's the highlight! what character
Cole hitting Daemon from behind during the tournament in episode 1 is symbolic by the way. It shows what he is about to do to the main house Targaryen.

Hahaha
Lol
Hahaha stopp 💀💀
No shit Sherlock, but they're kinda late for that
I don't know if anybody's mentioned this yet but they didn't make Valyrian steel. Their house name is "Velaryon", both the Velaryon and Targaryen families are "Valyrian" referring to where they originated from which is Valyria. This is why it's such a big deal that they marry into each other since Valyria was the home of all the dragonlords before it was destroyed.
The real gag is Crispy Cole was just a side piece and not the real paramour because we all know Rhaenyra actually loves Daemon.
This episode is the villain Cole origin story lol
Lmfao
King Viserys looked like he was about to have a heart attack when he saw Rhaenyra and Daemon with each other.
I thought about this episode after and I think ultimately it was all about showing the king how his kingdom is going to fall, just before he died.
@@robertwilson3866 that too
Alicent has also lost her mind. She was flirting with Rhaenyra’s dad for months without telling her and was upset that Rhaenyra was mad about it. Rhaenyra bangs one guy and Alicent takes it like a personal attack.
i think she's in love w/ her lowkey 🫢 or is at least jealous that she gets to live a different life than her
It made much more sense in the books she was 18 when they got married and was 9 years older than Rhaenyra im guessing they just made them the same age in the show to make it look like a bigger betrayal.
I think Alicent was more offended by Rhynera lying about it on her mother, but still a good point.
Allicent flirting with the king was not by choice. That’s all Otto’s doing
Otto didn’t manipulate the king to make rhaenarya the heir, the king did it to spite Damon. He was told numerous times that’s a bad idea
Valyrian Steel was made in Valyria, the kingdom that the Targayens ruled before the Doom. House Valeryon are from Valyria like the Targaryens.
Targaryens didn’t rule Valyria lol. They were just Dragon Lords. I don’t think it’s ever said who was the ruler of Valyria
Rob forgets that it was Otto’s idea to name Rhaenyra as heir in the first place. So any war that results from that is his fault. First he convinced the King to name Rhaenyra as heir, then he forced his daughter to marry the king and have his children... So if her children are in danger, it’s his fault.
Rob and Wellz yall so team green 💀 or at least before the very end. most of the ep talm bout “alicent gone make aegon king let’s goo” “rhaenyra move sloppy like jada” “she lied I get why she mad” “how could criston say no when it’s the PRINCESS she ruined his honor she wasn’t considerate”
1. aegon bout to be a joffrey pt 2 so this ain’t no “let’s gooo” 🤣 you’ll see soon
2. robbie, rhaenyra wanted to choose who she wanted to lose her V to, which ain’t a bad thing? instead of it being forced w someone she doesn’t care for like alicent was with viserys she wanted her own agency. not every woman wants to follow societies bs rules, and it’s not her fault alicent conformed to those rules/the patriarchy, it’s so sexist to think she can’t do so like other men in the show have casual sex, women too even with high titles. daenerys had two side pieces as princess and as (was soon to be in S8) queen, cersei secretly had sex at night w her younger cousin etc.
Nobles do that all the time how is that a crime? Of course he wants the king to marry their daughters
Visery's already knew about Otto. He just didn't care because he thinks that members of his council having their own agenda's is something to be expected, and unless they commit some major treason he has no reason do alienate them.
Yes she is cuz she lied to Alicent. Alicent never wanted her father to loose his job lol. Rhynera did.
Agreed
nah he got booted because rhaenyra is a spoiled child and viserys is an idiot otto literally did nothing wrong he's just trying to avoid war but viserys and rhaeyra just don't care

Clown.

The smell of dragon scare the horse
Criston was trying to make sure both Laenor’s & Rhaenyra’s secrets stayed secrets.

Evan has the best commentary ❤
Bad employees get fired. Not gonna blame Rhaneyra for pointing out to the boss that the coworkers ain’t being team players
Rob was on fire this reaction 😭
Joffrey( the guy that got bodied) also slapped Criston on the ass as he was walking off, it's really quick, but it's there - that pushed him over the edge. Team Black all the way, this is Rhaenyra's crown, they all pledged fealty to her in front of the King. Otto is a snake!
but if it was otto who sent his daughter to get into viserys's bed so that his family would have more power knowing that rhaenyra was going to become the heiress to the throne otto himself was the one who put his daughter alicent in that position that's why rhaenyra has to defend against them
Love the matching pants. My hometown bmore orioles colors.
I really liked the debate. That was passionate to hear you.
Lmao bro they really thought they were talking about food
Alicent basically declared war when she came in wearing all green
Rob been on point tbh
Love from baltimore pat, you rocking the O’s cap
it might be worth noting that Valaryon (the house) and Valeriya (the birthplace of Targaryen and Valaryon and where the steel is from) are two different things completely
21:50 Rob funny as hell raising his fist💀
It makes no sense for Criston to be left alive. Surely, Leanor will get him killed or Lord Corlys will ask for his head after punching his heir🙄
Viserys would be stupid not to punish him but he won't because we need Criston in the Dance of Dragons...I want a practical reason for Leanor not to seek revenge lol
People are going to hate Criston by end of this series.
I’m tryna be more than a munch 😂😂😂😂😂 Pat wild bruh lol
Y’all too funny bro nbs 😂😂. W reaction
Probs to Rob for actually understanding why Christon was upset 14:43
