btw I played Elden Ring on 1080ti when it released at 1200p (almost) max settings and I had 60fps locked 99% of time during my 130 hour play thru. So basically, a GPU like that can give you a really good performance, if you tweak settings just a little bit.

Kryzzp uses a 7950X3D (like me) cpu with 16-cores and 32-threads. Only the first 8-cores and 16-threads die has the 3D v-cache on it basically making it a 7800X3D for gaming purposes …. The other die (last 8-cores and 16-threads) is just like a regular Ryzen 7000 such as Ryzen 7 7700. Kryzzp disables the non 3D v-cache cores to get the maximum performance of the cpu. I do the same tbh. I use my 7950X3D as a 7800X3D for gaming and the full 7950X3D for production purposes for the best performance in both categories 💪🥰👍🙂↕
no one buys the 4060 for 4k or even 2k gaming, it is made for 1080p and it looks great on a 1080p monitor, specially if a game has dlaa, it looks really good.
Nice video! But, you tested this in a fairly eventless area, you should also test like a bossfight with lots of effects going on and see if it still hits 60.
From what I have seen, the game is extremely tough on CPU, so maybe someone with a mid range CPU with this GPU could experience worse performance than shown in this video.

If you consider a 4060 laptop that overclocked to around 2445 MHz (like my ROG G614JV) can give you same horse power as 4060 desktop (about 15 TFLOPS) but still has 20 GB/s lower bandwidth in memory side. It's pretty close at least in 140w version. 4070 laptop is almost close to 4060Ti desktop

You should definitely do Elden ring video in Leyndell capital, because on my adjusted settings , i can get 60fps 99% of the time everywhere else but there is drops to 30-40's and the high 20's on worst time mostly large field of view of the whole city and many action on screen

My GPU usage spikes and power consumption spikes like crazy when I go into Leyndell. Also. How are you going to play the DLC? Will you get a saved file to get access it? You need to beat Mohg And Radahn to enter it.
What's the site of grace to see the capital properly? I downloaded a 100% save and it's not as intensive there compared to the woods, but I didn't see the entire city
I love watching these videos. My 3070 is faster than a 4060 in this game. By a bit. Not just margin. Meanwhile you can get a used RTX 3070 for $250-$300 which is less than a new 4060. Or used for that matter. Everyone needs to watch the memory bandwidth as Nvidia is pushing down the stack bandwidth is throttling cards that could do so much more.
For me maximum includes raytracing as well. I always get disappointed when I watch benchmarks where it states max settings for a gpu XY then I realize i probably has RT off so no max settings 💀. I don't know why almost everyone doesn't even mention it is without raytracing or separates raytracing at all. I almost believed the benchmarks were with raytracing because after 1440p I was to turn off because 4k doesn't interest me that is when I saw that after 4k there comes raytracing... but then no 1440p raytracing with DLSS Q the most important and balanced setting of it all 💀
i have a rtx4070 I just started the game yesterday I play on 2K maximum settings and the fps are all over the place like sometimes it's 58 and other times are 45
If you dont care about online you can get DLSS and FG mods. I play 4k 120fps with these mods, in my opinion its worth it to at least try. Only have a 3060ti and it even enables me to turn on Raytracing to High and all max settings.
Only a couple dips to 55 with maximum settings at 4K with my 4070 Super and i7 14700k. I'll probably end up playing the rest of the game like this, wish the game had actual DLSS support and not the wonky mod someone made though.
Im still running this on an i5 6600k and an rx570, for some reason sadly with proton i had strange problems so i have to use windows just for this game. Cant wait to upgrade

The problem i had were kinda strange, like the game after a while would block at godfrey second phase cutscene, even though it just worked before, or character would randomly disappear and never reappear, also sometimes the screen would have a lot of pixel of random colors. I think i have a really old cpu honestly, cause armored core vi too had some problem where if i made some big explosion like in the ice worm battle the game would freeze and the last frame of the game would become grey-like, but it wasnt something happening consistently like in elden ring, so i got to finish the game and im still playing it just fine

Well, woods are definitely not most intensive areas, cities are (capitol city in particular) but this is in later parts of the game. Anyway, with some tricks you could use cards like 4060 or even 6600XT for 4K gaming in Elden Ring, with FPS locked to 30 FPS or few frames more, with some dips into 20s in aforementioned areas.
I'd like to sincerely thank you for uploading in so many resolutions. I use 4k 60 to watch you and it is lovely. Have you considered 21:9 resolutions for those on wide screens? I'm not sure if that is even an option on UA-cam.
sad that you don't use the fps unlock mod to see the true potential of the card. You could copy and paste this video for dozens of other similar cards because they'll have the exact same performance of a locked 60fps

I tried to turn down presets, which made drops only smaller. My card is utilized just as much as yours here, none of the cpu cores is loaded above 80%, I don't know what is the problem

ray tracing and upscaling use different parts of the gpu that wont show up in your percentage of gpu usage, that's why you see 80% usage while the card is actually struggling consider adding more data to your OSD
Hey! I find the 0.1% lows to not add much. Yeah it'll tell you about micro stutters, but in some games it will pickup on inventory checks and little things like that, and end up showing a lower value than what the gameplay actually feels like

This is weird, the game spends a lot of time with CPu utilization under 95% It uses v-ram very efficiently.
Looks like a frame cap at 40 fps 2160p would be the sweet spot for this card and this game. medium made a marginal difference and looked worse.

There is a mod that unlocks fps maybe u should try it to see true power of gpu at lower resolutions like 1080p
