I like how nvidia says that 8 gb is not enough then releases an 8gb card lol
In that too, they want people to play it on High settings (in High settings, game will be under 8GB vram limit).
In Ultra settings, the game will exceed the 8gb vram limit (when u have enabled HD textures), especially in Far Cry 6 and Last of Us, where u need 11gb vram at 1080p. They really messed this up very badly.
At best, this card would have been very good as a 4050ti.
people should wait for the 5x series, nvidia just wanted to test how far they can go with gpus prices
Is a 1080p card tho. Games that uses > 8gb are pretty unoptimized if they are using 8+ gb on 1080p
It's not even the vram at this point. The performance is straight up bad.😵
@@amritrai45With what, 1440p, 4k? My 1070 Ti 8GB plays Far Cry 6 at Ultra 1080p with constant 60+ fps. 8GB is more than enough if you aren't an idiot who plays above 1080p.
This would have been a great release… if it was a 4050
Not expecting a 4050 if it couldn't outperform a 2060S
And was priced at $200.
for 200$ it wouldve been a hit!
and at $200 not a single 8gb vram gpu in 2023 should cost more than that, 4060 ti 16gb for $280, and 4070 for $350 now i just fixed mid end prices
and cost $250
Thank you .
I especially appreciate the commentary over and above the pure numbers and benchmarks I see so often.
Listenable.
4060 hasn't more then 8 gb, because this improvement is reserved for 5060
yeah to milk people every gen.
I'm calling it now; 5060 will feature 160-bit 10GB lol
@@OCX600RR no, it will probably have 128-bit 9GB so they can say:LoOk! ItS nOt 8GB aNyMoRe!

Great to see Kryzzp 😳that you’re getting sponsorships by GPU manufacturers now 🥰💪👍. Very well deserved as you’ve got an amazing channel here and green sooo well 👍
i feel like this shouldn't exist, also great video so far Kryzzp, really good job on editing, keep up withthe great job
i liked that you added rainbow six into this benchmark test. would love to see other gpus tested on rainbow too
Great vid , what is the FPS overlay ? Thanks
Seeing this makes me love my 3060ti. Thanks as always for the beautiful review!
Same. The 3060 Ti never ceases to impress, especially given it’s price/performance ratio.
Yeah i also recently got cheap 3060ti its just amazing, i dont rly care about having like 200 fps, i use 144hz monitor and always use riverstatistix to force fps to 72 ( games feels much smoother if the refresh rate can be divided by fps count) , games are super smooth and temps are always super since it reduces stress on cpu and gpu
The 3060ti is probably one of if not the most underrated cards ever. The things a beast for how much it costs.
I’m so happy I went with a 3060ti
3060 Ti gang. we love to see it
Your reviews are so funny and on point.
You're the best
I love the power consumption. Blows the competition out of the water.
But not for 330+ euros.
200 and under would be a no brainer to anyone not looking for the best performance, but as it is and with its limitation in performance and vram...nah.
I would pay 250€ because of the very good consumption but only for a tripple fan version :)
So it stays very cool too :D
How does it not blow the competition out of the water for €330 when the competitors cost more? Also you're never getting a GPU again for €200 that isnt straight up garbage. I dont know what kind of delulu world some of you people live in. Because these prices are here to stay from BOTH brands also fun fact: The 4060 is cheaper than the MSRP was for the original 3060. Its also 20% faster, so the "its a 4050" argument doesnt work. Just makes people look really uneducated and d*mb
Also this GPU was never intended for people who are on the 3 series GPUs lmao. I dont know what goes through peoples minds sometimes.

I went from Ryzen 2600 and Sapphire 5600 XT that I had for 3+ years to a 5600X and 4060 and honestly I'm satisfied with the upgrade. After I sold both I ended up not spending that much. I play in 1080p and I plan to keep my current system for 2 years before I move to AM5. The GPU is very energy efficient but yes it should be a little cheaper.

That's a nice reference right there
For those who play warzone 2 , you can get rid of the micro stuttering simply by lowering the video memory scale to 70 % or even less instead of 85-90 %. Also putting textures on medium would help keep a balance. It will perform the same and will use less vram.
u gotta do that on a modern day gpu?

I'm curious to see a full video on the 4060 playing cyberpunk. See how frame gen and dlss do at different settings and resolutions and also check if those 8gb of Vram are enough to handle FG
15:56 you didn’t test Cyberpunk with FG only, you can clearly see that it was FG + DLSS Auto and that’s why it was softer and was running better.
Well that explains it!

Hey, great review !!! Those Fortnite stutters- I think most of them are related to the game compiling shaders in real time as you play. Since its a new gpu with new drivers, if You run a fornite for the first time with new gpu it will compile shaders in real time as you play and may cause some heavy stutters. After playing few matches of Fortnite in different areas of the map- the stutters should be reduced quite heavily the next time you play since most of the shaders will be compiled by that time. I dont think Fortnite has dedicated Shader Compilation feature that requires you to go through it once you boot the game before playing it for the first time. A lot of other Unreal Engine 4 games have this feature though. I dont play Fortnite so I dont know exactly. Keep up the great work! ;)
I am in total agreement with everything you just said. This is absolutely correct.
the stuttering of fortnite is more cuz of the CPU usage, speeds, u need at least 3.4 cpu hz :D and put just 60 fps!!!! with vsync on and done!
10gb would be perfect for the prize
Nobody cares about vram, this card is actually cheaper than 3060 at launch day.
How do you utilize 8 gb with 1080p? I swear you never had VRAM problems
10gb vram would be perfect, q2gb would be a little bit of future proofing. But tbh I expected to play games at 1440p on a 4060
I have a V.R related question
Would i be right in saying
That a Gpu with a Cuda core count of 3000
Then this would be split into two

Your new setup is awesome ❤
I have decided to keep my RX 6600XT. I find the 6600XT to be a very competent GPU (even with 8GB VRAM) and its handles everything I throw at it. I run most 3D applications at 1440p Medium/High and its a smooth experience. I try to never spend top dollar on a GPU. Great video as always Kryzzp. Saude!

@@wrightsolution For the same price of a 4060 you can get a 6700 non xt, which has 10gb of VRAM.
You don't have to spend that much. I used to play a lot of videogames back in the day and spent 800 or so on a 1080 ti. I clicked so fast when I got the notification lol hi Krispo😎
i saw screen tearing in most of the games, idk if its anti aliasing or vsync issue, include that in your benchmarks as well because i don't like screen tearing so i keep those settings on and i am sure many of us do.
It's because of vsync, if I enable it it locks the FPS, can't benchmark with locked FPS.
It happens because I record with a capture card so the performance doesn't drop when recording. Most other youtubers doing this use software recording and that's why they don't have screen tearing, the problem is that in some games software recording can drop frames like crazy, I've seen up to 30% drops by using shadowplay, that's why I decided to buy capture cards for this.
Yo crisp can you show us your bios settings to keep that 5800x3D cool?
DLSS 3.5 and the low energy consumption is the reason why people buy this GPU. Especially while upgrading from series 1000 & 2000. But even the 3000 series doesn’t benefit from lower energy consumption & DLSS.
I just bought a 4060 upgrading from a 1650 super, both have around the same power consumption and the 4060 is the only modern day gpu that will run perfect on a 400 watt psu. I bought it because of this reason

The most interesting on this card is the 40 series improvements like DLSS 3, can be worth if building a new pc
Exactly what I say. If you already has a 3060+, not worth to upgrade to a 4060. But if you have NOTHING, a 4060 is a good budget pick
@@triplocore how about have 960

I've bought that card recently and I must say, if u can afford it, take it right away. RX 6700 XT is a really good card right now. Even the Non XT which is 6700 with 10GB of Vram would be a great option for the money, but it depends on the prices.
thank you for not only showing cyberpunk for tests like sellout jaytwocents and others only did
Bro which benchmarks software you use ?
Given how Nvidia has seeming more extreme swing in quality per series (30xx series was good, the 40xx series sucked so far), I hope the 50xx series would be the best comeback ever. If so, I might upgrade my 3060 Ti when they’re good enough.
I'm planning on getting a laptop for myself cause I like to have a mobility option but I plan on making my sister a computer and this seems great for that
You should consider the 6700xt as well, decent gpu that performs like the 3060ti at around $330
If your sister only wants to play games then get her a amd gpu, better price for better value. Like a 6600. Maybe a full AMD Machine to have the best performance for the best price.
Does GeForce RTX™ 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK supported Ingame- Overlay?
Its amazing to always see gta5 holding up there graphically and npc AI and also optimised, even a 1060 hits 60fps easily
Wonder if some companies will release 16gb VRAM versions similar to how GTX 960 had 2gb and 4gb versions. I'd prefer higher settings including better textures and less framerate so i'd probably prefer even the 3060 12gb compared to this lol. Low power draw is a good selling point for this card though.

Glad I found your channel a couple months back. Keep up the good work sir. On a side note, this card is going to outlast everything it's being compared to around the same price point. Once the majority of games are truly making 1080p difficult to run on this class of card, things like the 7600, a750, 6700 xt and the older nvidia stuff will simply die sooner. The 40 series will have the caveat of enabling frame gen and smoking everything else in it's class...and nobody wants to acknowledge it. For $300 usd...it's klind of hard to truly complain if you look at the big picture down the road. People also seem to forget that if you're running out of VRAM it's pretty easy to lower shadow/postprocessing/aa settings and get way more fps with basically no quality loss while easily freeing up a gig or 2 of VRAM. Your testing of RDR2 is a good example of this behavior.
kryzzp where is the rx 7600 review is it worth to buy insted of 4060
I think you should include far cry 3 or 4 in next video as well.. Just a request as these two are great and were ahead of time
Man, those fps in warzone 2.0...
I have rtx 3060 and warzone 2.0 was playable until season 2 pretty good, i enjoyed the game, it ran around 90-100fps and 1% lows were about 70-80fps and there weren't any fps drops. I said, Activision is dealing with the new CoD pretty good, but a few months after came season 3 and that stable and good performance was gone. Now, when I try to start that Unoptimized Crap, I get around 70 fps with huge fps drops and horrible 1% lows like u have, around 40fps which is terrible and unplayable, at all i tried to find out if there's a fix for it and surprisingly, i found out. I can't be 100% sure, but everybody who have better cpu than me, it means Intel 11th gen and higher can in windows switch the core isolation and when they switched it off, they've got a huge fps boost, so they fixed it, I also find out the core isolation has something to do with the Ricochet anti-cheat, so maybe that's the problem of all of that. But for me, it doesn't work, cause i cant even find the switch of core isolation, because my ryzen 5 3600 doesn't support it, but at all, even if there's a fix for the performance, it's still total stupidity from Activison, to not fix it for everybody and only people with latest CPUs can play it with normal performance...
Riiight and I have the same specs
that sucks. one of the worst feelings is a game that plays fine and one update later it is totally unplayable. i wish u solve ur pc problems and have the performance and quality u deserve.
main thing I like about it is the power usage. The rx7600 and arc cards use much more.
it’s so refreshing to see someone actually shows how the card holds up instead of just shitting on it.
I was waiting for this
I think its agood card its really better than 3060 at this price and u dont really expect ultra settings with rt on on this price so i think its agood card
This card would have been good value if it had enough Vram
can you try benchmarking rocket league been wanting to buy a pc to play it and I can’t decide between a 3060 or a Rx 6600
mine from 960 gtx to this is massive i think...... should i buy this or 3060 12gb? or maybe save some for 4060ti
Im struggling with the exact same questions and I have GTX 970....though im thinking is 8GB vram at this point really "future proof"..and by that I mean we both are in same situation clearly where we want our GPUs to last as long as possible without having to upgrade it, so we are talking about atleast 7 to 8 years longevity for 1080p gaming.
The problem is, I cant seem to find 3060 12gb anywhere at good price point where I live and ordering it from elsewhere would then cost more even with discounted price because of shipping costs. 4060 ti would offer better performance than 4060 but again there is that question of how "future proof" 8GB vram is.
Thats why Im just tiny bit leaning to wait for couple more years till RTX 50 series is launched and then see if there is good price-performance value GPUs available from that Nvidia series like GTX 970 really was or if the prices of some of the higher performance RTX 40 series GPUs have come down enough.
Either way since there arent THAT many games yet that I would really like to play on PC that require better hardware that I currently have (I mainly play older games on PC + RTS games) the only exception being Baldur's Gate 3 and perhaps Company of Heroes 3, it all comes down to me thinking "do I really, honestly need the upgrade now, or can I wait for 2 more years?" And while on other hand my PC is becoming increasingly more slow (no SSD even so those start ups are often painfully slow) perhaps I can just bite through and deal with for 2 more years. Then atleast I could go for that 12GB GPU.
But ye if you go for 8GB Gpu, then 4060ti doesnt seem a bad choice and im really on the fence whether to go for it or not, but I can wait for couple more years tbh
I just got a 4060 at micro center for $239. I would consider it a good deal at that price point
$299 at microcenter
@@srobeck77 I got it open box and with warranty but it doesn’t matter anymore because I sold it anyway.
The 40 series seems to so far be just a very expensive software update to the 30 series cards
did you notice that the gpu is a little bit noisy compared to other brands (like the asus dual) ?
RTX 4060 actually is not that bad but it needs 10 or 12 gb of vram version
but it doesn't so its bad
Seems reasonable with DLSS, but let's see what they do with the next 4060 models if any comes. 8GB is low, atleast a 10GB sounded better, way better.
Make another Rtx 4060 with12Gb version with maybe 349$ (Or 329$?) and Nvidia will change my heart. Seems impossible though

good evening, I would like to ask you for advice, I would like to update my build to a 4060
the current build is as follows:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
RAM: DDR4 3200 MHz
psu: cx750F
Motherboard: B450M (has an AM4 socket)
for the moment I don't want to change the motherboard so possibly use a processor with an am4 socket, what would you advise me to do? Thanks in advance
Flash your motherboard biosto ryzen 5000 compatible then get ryzen 7 5800x3d or ryzen 7 5700x3d then get a gpu with more than 8gb vram. I don't recommend 8gb vram gpu in 2024.
Hey, can you tell me if this card loud? It's small and 68-70 degrees. Maybe i should get palit dual 4060?😊
Had this card about 2 weeks and I love it and it's super quiet
This should have been at least twice as fast as the 2060 with double the vram. If they did that, the msrp would seem affordable at 300 dollars for what youre getting.
If 4060 faster than 3060 which faster than 2060 by 20% u think that 4060 is not much faster than 2060?
Maybe if it was $200 - $250 then it would probably worth it
even then it would still be bad. It cant even beat a 7600 priced at 250 and its slower than a 3060 ti. This card is like a 1650 so it should be priced at 150-200
should also call 4050 then 🤣🤣
@@cxngo8124it’s faster than the Rx 7600 also the lowest it’s been is 260 not 250 so for 40 bucks more you get faster performance dlss frame generation and all the other NVIDIA features seems like a no brained to me
@@kaanbolat2403yah the 4060 is £290 in the uk
Hello Sir cann you tell that which mic do you use , please this will help a lot.
Hi, I use the Shure MV7 :)
Good video and editing
Thank you :)
This should be $200 at max and not as 4060, as 4050 Ti/non-Ti
In my country it will cost around $400, so $300 is still not that much
With such gimped memory and bus, I agree. Hopefully retailers will drop the price quickly or else everyone will just get secondhand.
Maybe buying a 2070S in 2020 was actually a good idea lol.
I'm tempted by the 6700xt for similar money and I'm an Nvidia fanboy 😀
I am in Portugal on holiday right now, and yes it is hot! 30 degrees C as a Brit is kinda insane 😅
Great deal so you can get started with next gen technology. 230-250 would be reasonable. They should have done 10gb though.
Agreed, should've been cheaper

@@big-liam928A gtx 1080 is a big upgrade from the 1650.
@@josephl6727 Yeah.... no. 1080 is a pascal one while 1650 is a turing architecture. I find it enough on 4060.
@@AntiGrieferGamesyou are missing the point. If this individual doesn't want to break the bank, they can get the gtx 1080 and still be kind of okay at 1080p. Its better in performance despite being pascal. Turing is more power efficiency and so is the 1650 vs the gtx 1080. I still run a gtx 1080 ti at 1080p but I do not want to pay msrp. It's better to wait and buy everything at a discount. I also have an rtx 2070 which still does very well even with ray tracing at 1080p. The rtx 4060 is a great upgrade considering the upside of the technology implemented. If you have the cash to pay 300 plus for a gpu and just want 1080p gaming, it's not worth it unless you really want ray tracing and DLSS 3. In my opinion, you would still be better off with an rtx 2080 or an rtx 3060 for the vram based on price.😮
Great 1080p card for other things. I still cant believe people still makes nvidia bad.
8 years a similar sized card did cost 150 weight by weight this card is lighter and double the cost
I feel like this card is pretty underrated, it barely uses any power, and will run basically anything at 1080p.
What performance monitor program is this?
Coming from a 4gb vram gtx1650, this to me looks like a 4090 TI
