In that too, they want people to play it on High settings (in High settings, game will be under 8GB vram limit). In Ultra settings, the game will exceed the 8gb vram limit (when u have enabled HD textures), especially in Far Cry 6 and Last of Us, where u need 11gb vram at 1080p. I disagree, for $300 you can get way better, especially at 1080p, hell there are 1440p capable cards from AMD at that price point. Its an embarrassment for NVIDIA.

I play in 1080p and I plan to keep my current system for 2 years before I move to AM5. The GPU is very energy efficient but yes it should be a little cheaper.
I love the power consumption. Blows the competition out of the water. But not for 330+ euros. 200 and under would be a no brainer to anyone not looking for the best performance, but as it is and with its limitation in performance and vram...nah.
How does it not blow the competition out of the water for €330 when the competitors cost more? Also you're never getting a GPU again for €200 that isnt straight up garbage. I dont know what kind of delulu world some of you people live in. Because these prices are here to stay from BOTH brands also fun fact: The 4060 is cheaper than the MSRP was for the original 3060. Its also 20% faster, so the "its a 4050" argument doesnt work. Just makes people look really uneducated and d*mb Also this GPU was never intended for people who are on the 3 series GPUs lmao. I dont know what goes through peoples minds sometimes.
@@terraincognitagaming i bought my rx 6600m from aliexpress for 165usd this january and very happy with it, wont upgrade til i see rtx 7000s. You saw they already lowered their prices on their other 4000 cards. They'll keep lowering until they see a winning accomplishment of sales.
People keep making fun of these cards but you have to think, these are not for people who are upgrading, it's simply for people on a budget and are building new PCs. Older GPUs cost more because they aren't in production anymore so just getting these kind of cards are just better overall for someone who doesn't have a computer to begin with
People don't also realize that older cards (rtx 3000 and rx 6000 series) are not in stock everywhere so unless you're buying used these are your only options.
@tomwoodstock2396 yeah exactly. You got to think, no person who's building a computer first time is going to want to buy something used. If I can get a brand new, recent card for cheap, that's what I'm going to do lol. I'm not going to scrounge the internet for whatever old series card because people online complain about these new ones. Aside from that, you can use dlss 3.0 on a 4060, so like even then, it's just strictly superior to every other cheaper alternative.
For those who play warzone 2 , you can get rid of the micro stuttering simply by lowering the video memory scale to 70 % or even less instead of 85-90 %. Also putting textures on medium would help keep a balance. It will perform the same and will use less vram.
I have decided to keep my RX 6600XT. I find the 6600XT to be a very competent GPU (even with 8GB VRAM) and its handles everything I throw at it. I run most 3D applications at 1440p Medium/High and its a smooth experience. I try to never spend top dollar on a GPU. Great video as always Kryzzp. Saude!
You don't have to spend that much. I used to play a lot of videogames back in the day and spent 800 or so on a 1080 ti. Then I regretted it cos there were times that I wasn't using my PC for a whole month then I ended up selling it and get the amd rx480. This January I bought an rx 6600m from aliexpress for 165 usd. Great to see Kryzzp 😳that you’re getting sponsorships by GPU manufacturers now 🥰💪👍. Very well deserved as you’ve got an amazing channel here and green sooo well 👍
The RTX 4060 and the AMD R5 7600 together may not be the best value for the money right now but it can certainly be the most power efficient GPU+CPU combo right now.
I stick with my rtx 3060 12gb. So far that +4gb really helped me out... Especially with ray tracing. Yes i know not the best way to play ray tracing with that card but honestly some games even with quality DLSS reaches 60fps. Some 45 and i'm fine. I bought this card recently to replace my gtx 1060, paid only 280€ (new) for the MSI variant - as a stop gap solution. Now I can set all graphic settings to Ultra at 1080p and still get 70-80 fps even with my old I7 6700k. Originally, I planned to buy a whole new system, but intel 14 gen uses a dead socket (1700). I decided to upgrade from a 3050, as the pc i got was technically free, and decided to put a bit of money into it, i didnt have the funds for a 4070 like i wanted, and even though it has less vram, it out preformed the 3060. I also am content in almost any game at medium to high settings and 1080p so its fine for me i think.
I've bought that card recently and I must say, if u can afford it, take it right away. RX 6700 XT is a really good card right now. Even the Non XT which is 6700 with 10GB of Vram would be a great option for the money, but it depends on the prices.
Of all the reviews I have watched of the 4060.... this has been the best and the fairest based off my personal experience with the 4060 (and the Ti for that matter) the 4060 and ti models are excellent GPU's for entry level gaming imho.

This card honestly performs great and technology just help it a lot. I don't get the hate on tech that's how the future of graphics is going to be we can only push so much until the chip itself pushes like over 600w and is basically too hot to cool and too expensive to buy and run. And we are already at the too expensive to buy part with the 4080 4090 etc with the 4070 being some what affordable but still at the very high end for what most people can afford.
Hey, great review !!! Those Fortnite stutters- I think most of them are related to the game compiling shaders in real time as you play. Since its a new gpu with new drivers, if You run a fornite for the first time with new gpu it will compile shaders in real time as you play and may cause some heavy stutters. After playing few matches of Fortnite in different areas of the map- the stutters should be reduced quite heavily the next time you play since most of the shaders will be compiled by that time. I dont think Fortnite has dedicated Shader Compilation feature that requires you to go through it once you boot the game before playing it for the first time. A lot of other Unreal Engine 4 games have this feature though. I dont play Fortnite so I dont know exactly. Keep up the great work! ;)
So. They're relying on frame gen to boost FPS, however... I have a 4090, and with frame gen at HIGH FPS the input lag is barely ok, on the low end... You people would be unhappy to say the least.
I love your reviews and their style. Firing the game up live and playing it for us makes it feels like we're sitting next to you chilling and you're a joy to listen to as well. Glad I found your channel a couple months back. Keep up the good work sir. On a side note, this card is going to outlast everything it's being compared to around the same price point. Once the majority of games are truly making 1080p difficult to run on this class of card, things like the 7600, a750, 6700 xt and the older nvidia stuff will simply die sooner. The 40 series will have the caveat of enabling frame gen and smoking everything else in it's class...and nobody wants to acknowledge it. For $300 usd...it's klind of hard to truly complain if you look at the big picture down the road. People also seem to forget that if you're running out of VRAM it's pretty easy to lower shadow/postprocessing/aa settings and get way more fps with basically no quality loss while easily freeing up a gig or 2 of VRAM. Your testing of RDR2 is a good example of this behavior.
Super quiet and super cool. 3070 beats it for raw horsepower. Mine sits at 50c/111w flat out for hours. Its more or less silent in operation too. I paid $244 which I think was fair.
I'm planning on getting a laptop for myself cause I like to have a mobility option but I plan on making my sister a computer and this seems great for that

For the casual gamer it's a decent card at an affordable price. I currently use a 3060ti paired with a 12th gen I5 processor and 16 gig of ddr5 and have no complaints about it. It can handle every game I have including RDR2. You don't need top of the line equipment to enjoy gaming.

i saw screen tearing in most of the games, idk if its anti aliasing or vsync issue, include that in your benchmarks as well because i don't like screen tearing so i keep those settings on and i am sure many of us do.
It's because of vsync, if I enable it it locks the FPS, can't benchmark with locked FPS. It happens because I record with a capture card so the performance doesn't drop when recording. Most other youtubers doing this use software recording and that's why they don't have screen tearing, the problem is that in some games software recording can drop frames like crazy, I've seen up to 30% drops by using shadowplay, that's why I decided to buy capture cards for this.
I have a laptop with rtx 2060 and looking to upgrade too, probably at the beginning of 2025 but personally, I wouldn't go for something with less than 10gb - 12gb of vram. Seeing how 8gb cards started to hit the vram limit at 1080p ultra and some recent games that require a lot of vram even at low settings.. e. g. the last game jedi if I'm not mistaking, at low settings 1080p it consumed 7gb of vram, that game ofc was unoptimized and Idk if it got fixed but still. You could probably play the newest games with reduced texture quality without exceeding the vram limit for the next 1-2 years but we can't predict the future. It doesn't bother me dropping the settings and resolution. I might be good to go with a 8gb card if I'm willing to make visual sacrifices but I still prefer more vram, just in case.
Excuse my language but you are a FUCKING CHAMP for setting graphics in a way that gave both good visuals and performance, I've seen so much people push GFX to a point the card couldn't handle, breath of fresh air to see someone who doesn't do those things. Immediate subscribe when I saw that👌
I still have my GTX 1050 and it can run most of these games without a problem...plus people are saying that RTX is trash so I've lost the motivation to upgrade to that one
Man, those fps in warzone 2.0... I have rtx 3060 and warzone 2.0 was playable until season 2 pretty good, i enjoyed the game, it ran around 90-100fps and 1% lows were about 70-80fps and there weren't any fps drops. I said, Activision is dealing with the new CoD pretty good, but a few months after came season 3 and that stable and good performance was gone. Now, when I try to start that Unoptimized Crap, I get around 70 fps with huge fps drops and horrible 1% lows like u have, around 40fps which is terrible and unplayable, at all i tried to find out if there's a fix for it and surprisingly, i found out. I can't be 100% sure, but everybody who have better cpu than me, it means Intel 11th gen and higher can in windows switch the core isolation and when they switched it off, they've got a huge fps boost, so they fixed it, I also find out the core isolation has something to do with the Ricochet anti-cheat, so maybe that's the problem of all of that. But for me, it doesn't work, cause i cant even find the switch of core isolation, because my ryzen 5 3600 doesn't support it, but at all, even if there's a fix for the performance, it's still total stupidity from Activison, to not fix it for everybody and only people with latest CPUs can play it with normal performance...
that sucks. one of the worst feelings is a game that plays fine and one update later it is totally unplayable. i wish u solve ur pc problems and have the performance and quality u deserve.

Keep up the great work! ;)
I am in total agreement with everything you just said. This is absolutely correct.
the stuttering of fortnite is more cuz of the CPU usage, speeds, u need at least 3.4 cpu hz :D and put just 60 fps!!!! with vsync on and done!

That 4060 looks tiny compared to my Zotac RTX 3050 Twin Edge OC. It seems like the 4060 uses the same exact power as my card.
it is a 4050 in disguise (the chip is smaller than 3050's one!)
@@Rico-zq2ej It is a 4050. AD107 die, 107 was always a 50 tier GPU and in 4050 it's even smaller than in 3050!
Ampere (3000 series) wasn't a big jump because Nvidia was using Samsung 8nm node, which was inferior to TSMC's 7nm (that's why AMD was even beating 3090Ti in some cases).
And the "4050" beats 3060 because now Nvidia is using a vastly superior node (TSMC's 5nm called 4N) so the architectural jump is absolutely massive
@@GewelRealit is hilarious, bro just check damn cpecs on sites, the volume of L2 cache is bigger that’s where 8 gb looks normal on it, then 4060 has a lot higher rate of cores + new architecture, all of these things makes this gpu significantly better than 3060 if ur buying pc in 2024, cry more little child that viewed all videos about how bad it is, because you cannot afford it, go and buy some amd card 😂
i saw screen tearing in most of the games, idk if its anti aliasing or vsync issue, include that in your benchmarks as well because i don't like screen tearing so i keep those settings on and i am sure many of us do.
It's because of vsync, if I enable it it locks the FPS, can't benchmark with locked FPS.
It happens because I record with a capture card so the performance doesn't drop when recording. Most other youtubers doing this use software recording and that's why they don't have screen tearing, the problem is that in some games software recording can drop frames like crazy, I've seen up to 30% drops by using shadowplay, that's why I decided to buy capture cards for this.
main thing I like about it is the power usage. The rx7600 and arc cards use much more.
I currently have a rtx 2060 and I'm looking to grab one of these as an upgrade. Would you say this is a worthwhile upgrade?
This card would have been good value if it had enough Vram
Excuse my language but you are a FUCKING CHAMP for setting graphics in a way that gave both good visuals and performance, I've seen so much people push GFX to a point the card couldn't handle, breath of fresh air to see someone who doesn't do those things. Immediate subscribe when I saw that👌
The 40 series seems to so far be just a very expensive software update to the 30 series cards
Riiight and I have the same specs
that sucks. one of the worst feelings is a game that plays fine and one update later it is totally unplayable. i wish u solve ur pc problems and have the performance and quality u deserve.
Is it worth switching from RTX 2060 6GB? 😵💫😵💫
Maybe buying a 2070S in 2020 was actually a good idea lol.
A 3060 with Ada Lovelace Architecture for 300$ would BLOW and DUST the 4060 out of the water, Nvidia cheaped up on parts by shortening their memory count, memory buses and core components, just because they can say "the new card performs better than the old one if you compare DLSS 2 vs DLSS 3", very disingenuous of them.
Maybe if it was $200 - $250 then it would probably worth it
even then it would still be bad. It cant even beat a 7600 priced at 250 and its slower than a 3060 ti. This card is like a 1650 so it should be priced at 150-200
should also call 4050 then 🤣🤣
@@cxngo8124it’s faster than the Rx 7600 also the lowest it’s been is 260 not 250 so for 40 bucks more you get faster performance dlss frame generation and all the other NVIDIA features seems like a no brained to me
@@kaanbolat2403yah the 4060 is £290 in the uk
What is better for fortnite competitive setting like to get max fps and smoothness 1.RTX 4060 8gb with i5 13f gen or 2.RTX 3060 12gb with i5 13 gen (both with 16GB ram)
Coming from a 4gb vram gtx1650, this to me looks like a 4090 TI

Good video and editing
Thank you :)
This should have been at least twice as fast as the 2060 with double the vram. If they did that, the msrp would seem affordable at 300 dollars for what youre getting.
If 4060 faster than 3060 which faster than 2060 by 20% u think that 4060 is not much faster than 2060?
Sorry Kryypz, I have to correct you on something.. "micro stuttering" in Warzone only applies to Nvidia cards. We have tested this intensively on our videos, and AMD cards are better at Warzone frametimes.
Could it be because AMD cards get more FPS so frametimes are more stable?
I've tested AMD GPUs and they also got micro stuttering issues. It was a while ago though.
Pretty good card for 300$ because of watt usage, dlss and generation of frames
😂😂😂 nvidia lawyer hello 👋
First no one asking about less watt usage we won't pay money for just a less watt usage
Second rtx 2000s 3000s also has dlss so what's you're point bro ?
Third dlss frame generator thing is only useful when you already has 50+ fps already
But it won't If you getting 20fps or 30fps
The latency gonna be on the cloud bro !!!
So what's the point of that thing on mid range cards? This thing frame generator Is perfect for a horse power cards like rtx 4090 , 4080 , 4070 ti and rtx 4070
But for 4060 ti and 4060 nope 🙅♂️
You already gonna get 30 fps or lower on ultra settings in the most intensive games so you can't use the frame generator because the latency gonna be really annoying
@@iikon3 i use 4070 in my computer, for budget its decent card, for 300$, because AMD just destroyed by Nvidia and Intel on market, you so annoying person to spend so many time and be so aggressive to my opinion,a don't say that u must buy this card, but for this price its card perform ok,be more adequate to other people and minds , i see that in internet all say that AMD GPU is great, but noone buy her cards, interesting ... sit with your 3060 and don't say about u don't even touch
@@iikon3 I bet you have never used frame generation.
@@iikon3 When AMD has less watt usage its all the people ever want and bad Nvidia/Intel. When it's the other way around then we dont need low watt usage. Oh the irony xD
@Jinny-Wa bro are you nuts?
Who said I'm amd fan 😂😂
My card is rtx 3070 ti
I'm just a honest man
Nvidia is making bad decisions that's it
I'm not any one fan ever too ,
Also Nvidia selling us the gen 1 dlss frame generator for $ really Nvidia!!
It's not even useful for low fps
Why I need to use it when I already got 50+ fps ?
I need something useful for when I'm getting 20fps but guess what it won't
The latency won't let you playing its going to be terrible
Olá, fiquei feliz quando descobri que eras tuga, é bom saber que há grandes youtubers portugueses, ABRAÇO!!
This should be $200 at max and not as 4060, as 4050 Ti/non-Ti
In my country it will cost around $400, so $300 is still not that much
With such gimped memory and bus, I agree. Hopefully retailers will drop the price quickly or else everyone will just get secondhand.
