From what ive heard there is something called motion vectors only when FG is directly integrated inside the game by developers, also fsr scaling helps to provide the minimal base of 60 fps to avoid major artifacts
You should try lossless scaling. It’s a type of frame generation that can 2x,3x and even 4x your fps on all pc. It’s a 7 dollar program on steam. I tried it on my rtx 4060 on space marine 2 and I’m playing it with 170 to 200 fps ultra settings “without lossless scaling I’m playing around 60/70 fps” since the game does not have frame generation yet. It works pretty well. I would love to see you test it out on a video and help support the creator because this has good potential.
yea I use it all the time for emulated games for example, it's so good. It ain't perfect at all tho, but for what it is, it's INCREDIBLY impressive. Like, the software doesn't even have access to the games files/vectors, yet it still can produce a decent result

The 7950X3D is basically 2 CPUs glued together, but only one of those CPUs has that 3D cache. So if you leave all cores enabled, performance will be lower because Windows doesn't know which cores have 3D cache and games might end up running on the cores without 3D cache.
Hey bro love your content. I got an important question: what kind of cooling are you using in your PC and for your GPU? Never seen anybody having such perfect tempratures with AMD GPUs!! Are you using 100% fan speed? Thanks alot!

Sorry for the double comment but I have to ask; Since you lose ~10 FPS compared to native (in MSI overlay), does this mean that AFMF is actually taking those 10 frames each second and using them to generate the in-betweens? This is pure speculation and I've no technical knowledge on the subject but I found this little tidbit of information interesting (also would've loved to see you test RT Overdrive, though I'm not sure if that's supported on AMD)

With my RX 6800 I can see a difference with some games, it works well with some but doesn't with other (noticeable artifacts and ghosting mostly). Works wonderfully on my ROG Ally though.
Can you test AFMF2 using a 2nd AMD GPU for the frame gen part ?! I wonder how much performance it would save, it's a great option imo for anybody willing to upgrade their amd gpu keeping the old one for that
Maybe if you have a 7900XTX but I was unimpressed with how it ran on an RX6600. Meanwhile, Lossless scaling works a lot better. Probably would be better on a 7900XTX too. It costs $7 on Steam and if you can afford a 7900XTX, you can afford to buy Lossless Scaling and try it out.
it really makes me curious on how it compares to lossless scaling. i mean for AFMF you have to unlock fps while on LSFG it always caps up to your monitors max refresh

Sorry I can't ignore those 400W power consumption🤣 the 6000 series card were so good at power efficiency but I have no idea 7000 series consume so much power for minimal delivery
Because the sensors in the 6000 series cards only measured the power consumption of the chip, while the 7000 series takes into account all types of power consumption the graphics card has, like fans, vram power etc. In actuality the 7000 series of cards are about 10-20% more efficient than the 6000 series cards, but the difference in measurement... Thats why the 7600 looks to consume more power than the older amd cards
This rx7900xtx if have more power limit it could consume quite a lot because i see that on msi the stock max frequency is 2985mhz on the core but on this case is hit 2500-2550mhz on cyberpunk
Undervolted +overclocked it performs better while using way less power and being even cooler. I get 330W maximum in Cyberpunk. If I limit my fps to 60 in Baldurs gate 3 it's at 140W or so and the fans don't even spin (7900xtx nitro+ in a fractal torrent case). In helldivers 2 it didn't even hit 50°C (144hz screen, no fps limit) . Just insane
@@Greenalex89 That's really good that we have that option I did that too in Nvidia 30 series but it can be kinda advance for normal user who plug and play, Nvidia 40 series are pretty good at that, my RTX 4080 consume 250W at every game, and I did nothing just plug and play.

Any help would be appreciated.
7900 xtx is a decent 720p card, I can almost hit 60 fps in Minecraft, though it drops pretty hard to high 30s and low 40s at 1080p, definitely don't recommend going above 720p it would be nice if AFMF 2 supported Minecraft but unfortunately it does not.

Please try the most demanding games at 4K maxed out settings and ray tracing (So literally every single graphical setting to the highest possible) with FSR 3.1, FSR 3 frame gen and AFMF 2 with all other driver level features like Anti Lag 2, Radeon Boost, Radeon Chill and RIS and all that (With 7900 XT and XTX Please and also with that same thing but 1440p with 7900 GRE)
When a game like FF16 comes out with already AMD FG you think is better of the AFMF2? Im a 6750xt user.
I've tried it without recording, it doesn't show the FG frames with my OSD so I didn't touch it since
yea I use it all the time for emulated games for example, it's so good. It ain't perfect at all tho, but for what it is, it's INCREDIBLY impressive. Like, the software doesn't even have access to the games files/vectors, yet it still can produce a decent result
but it does have a bit more input delay than AFMF 2 and also some things such as the crosshair can produce some artifacts when moving the camera fast
@@flavioionasc4947 yeah thats true. But it’s perfect for older games with a 30 or 60 gps frame cap.
@@flavioionasc4947it doesn’t work properly for me i think or i don’t know feels laggy asfuck when i enable it
Hi Kryzzp, I am running a 7900XTX (Nitro+) with a 5800X3D and 64 GB of RAM. Should I enable AFMF2 on all single player titles, as a baseline, and then see individually if it causes any problems, or vice-versa? What do you think?
I LOVE my 7900xtx so glad i picked this over a 4080 super all day long also I lobe those Meze 99 headphones 🎧 i got a pair of those to they are great for the money i generally use Audeze LCD2 most of the time though
Quick question man. Why do you disable half your CPU cores even when testing with high end GPUs? Is it a 3D cache thing on that specific chip?
I forgot what it exactly was but yes it's to avoid performance loss during gaming.
If you use that more, would be cool if u drop the Real-fg fps down unter the others, so its closer to each other, if been looking in the far far left-up corner far to much xD
And again still my Absolut favourite Benchmark Mann here ! Thanks to you, its really becoming a hobby for me to watch these.
Ahhh unfortunately the radeon overlay isn't as flexible, I'm pretty sure I can only put it in the corners or center top/bottom unfortunately!
Thank you very much 😃🤗

Can't wait for you to test the RX 8000 Series once they release
muito bom krizzp, eu tenho uma 5600xt, consigo usar o afmf 2 nela?
Will you test The Finals season 4? It released just a couple days ago
I'm following your bag using the amd board and could do a test using mods like dlss enabler which is free on the nexus and also use afmf2 together to see the effects, this comparison of the results made by the devs and mods in the community would be incredible.
You can go over your refresh rate and set Enhanced Sync to reduce screen tearing as well instead of limiting your fps.
3:58 I tried AFMF 2 in Valorant yesterday with my 7800XT at 1440p 165 FPS and I couldn’t tell the difference between it enabled or disabled it was extremely smooth no perceivable delay
I can notice, it's not bad at all but it is there!
FMF2 is great, using it on most games with my 7800xt, usually locked at 82 fps so i have 164 which maxes out my 165 UW screen, perfectly playable and also saves power.
the main thing is on AFMF 2 the frame stil drop when you look fast, but not that much as far as the first version, this is a good improvement for AMD
OMG, this GPU is such a monster which is neck to neck with RTX 4080 and 4080 Super, costing much less. I have both Nvidia and AMD, but AMD has Radeon Image Sharpening an amazing filter increasing the game details and colors overall and I can't live without it anymore!
Less ?
In my country the 7900xtx and 4080S are at the same price and have never been lower....
7900xtx is good if it would cost lot less like 699$ not more then that
@@hinatashoyo2999 I saw a difference around $100 to $200 between the two on New Egg. Some better models have a higher price tag for sure, sometimes getting a little close to 4080S. Please Do Make a Video Of Rx 6700xt WIth Afmf Technolegy
Cause I bought the card yesterday by watching All of your Rx6700xt videos And I am already Loving it💖
Sorry for the double comment but I have to ask; Since you lose ~10 FPS compared to native (in MSI overlay), does this mean that AFMF is actually taking those 10 frames each second and using them to generate the in-betweens? This is pure speculation and I've no technical knowledge on the subject but I found this little tidbit of information interesting (also would've loved to see you test RT Overdrive, though I'm not sure if that's supported on AMD)
Yes! It doesn't have dedicated hardware to do it so it uses a bit of the GPU's resources
Not sure if you have an LDAT , but I'd love if you can compare LS and AFMF2 through several games while measuring the input lag difference.
I wish to see the rx 7700 xt benchmarked on this channel one day.
that is basically a 6800 non xt so just go and look and that review on his channel instead
@@thefurmidablecatlucky3 Yeah but I wanna see bob get dunked on with the 7700 xt
I was an Nvidia fan boy, untill this year, i changed my GPU to RX 6600. Good god it's a Blessing, AMD really think about their consumers. Regular updates, cheap prices and moreover they wont suck your hard earned money . Dear Nvidia GET A LIFE, Dummy......!!
Hey Kryzzp, any chance of you testing out AFMF 2 on RX 6000 series in the near future?
Still holding out hope for AFMF coming to the 5700 XT. Still a great performer at 1440p for the price.
In my country 7900xtx is nearly same price as 4070ti s. So definitely i bought 7900xtx xfx mag air
Insane performance over 6900xt and run cooler and quieter.
AFMF2 is really useful and innovative..
Very interesting to be able to use FG even if the game doesn't have FG, my GPU goal is the 7900 XT but who knows I might get the XTX after this video the FH5 with FG It should be able to run at 8K 60fps.
I use RT Ultra on my 7900XTX, but I play at 1440p. On this game I actually have more issue with my CPU (5800X3D) in terms of bottleneck.
EDIT: I know 7900XTX is overkill for 1440p right now, but I want it to last me a while :)
tried it out and man it works well, better in some games the frame gen as frame gen can be stuttery.
Just tested this with Dragon's Dogma 2 with RX 6800 and I get 120 fps without FSR, looks very clean and super smooth!
man its been a while since i last watched ur video
This is a game changer for amd handhelds
Hubiera estado bien activar tambien el escalado con FSR + AFMF2 + ray tracing y haberlo comparado con intel XESS en ciberpunk.👍
if you could make a comparison video where you are testing a 7900xtx with a 7950x3D with no cores disabled and a 14900K both overclocked as well as the GPU. Wanted to see a full on comparison between the 2 CPU's at all the possible conditions
Why would you want a CPU that will self-destruct
I tested the beta driver with AFMF 2 on 6700xt.
in third person games it's not bad, and only if there is a stable 60+ fps without it
Why are the lights off until you get very close to the light source? Is the view distance very low or something?
Could you test AFMF2 + FSR3 frame generation? I am curious about its fps and input delay.

cs2 does this when you alt tab. you need to enable fullscreen and sometimes it repairs the issue. you need to test again to see.
Does what?
What?
With my RX 6800 I can see a difference with some games, it works well with some but doesn't with other (noticeable artifacts and ghosting mostly). Works wonderfully on my ROG Ally though.
did not know unc was goated in counter strike 😤
Can you test AFMF2 using a 2nd AMD GPU for the frame gen part ?! I wonder how much performance it would save, it's a great option imo for anybody willing to upgrade their amd gpu keeping the old one for that

as an RX 7900XTX user I can confirm, that AFMF 2 is worth it
Maybe if you have a 7900XTX but I was unimpressed with how it ran on an RX6600. Meanwhile, Lossless scaling works a lot better. Probably would be better on a 7900XTX too. It costs $7 on Steam and if you can afford a 7900XTX, you can afford to buy Lossless Scaling and try it out.
yes it is i have sapphire nitro+ and played god of war ragnarok lately with 150 fps with perfect smoothness no fsr and ultra details - fmf 2 rocks
@@Lurch-BotI am on RX6700 10GB and AFMF2 works almost as good as LukeFZ Uniscaler FSR3.1 mod. On my GPU AFMF2 is much better than LSFG.
Yeah AFMF 2 is really good. Probably the best Software upgrade from AMD in a long time. Now we just need FSR 4.
@@Lurch-Bot That is just simply not true. Even if it gives you more fps, lossless scaling looks terrible. AFMF 2 looks very good compared to that,
Bruh less than a day till prime day and I can finally pickup the XTX or the XT on sale!
it really makes me curious on how it compares to lossless scaling. i mean for AFMF you have to unlock fps while on LSFG it always caps up to your monitors max refresh

Going to be using it on helldivers, laggy pos with my 7900xtx
i like afmf my experience is when i go to area with much foliage it drops
You don't really need AFMF with a 7900XTX. It's fast enough for needing nothing like FSR and frame generation.
10 minutes ago is wild
just tried my rx6700xt at 4k in rdr2 with afmf2. normally get around 50-60 fps with benchmarkings settings but with frame gen it went to 80-100 which is okay considering im using a controller on the tv. however, theres a lot of flickering when panning the camera on the vegetation which is very noticeable, so ive turned it off.
Can you cap frame gen frames? If you set a max fps to 120 and got 80 fps native and 140 with frame gen would it stop at 120 for maybe less latency?
so basically afmf2 did to cyberpunk what fsr 3 should have done enable rt on the high end cards with high refreshrate great pretty underated feature tbh
you can very easily mod fg into cyberpunk for amd cards and itll be better than the official fsr3
could you use fsr3 framegen with afmf 2 or is that not recommended ?
Oh so that's what the new update was about. Good to know.
I literally just purchased a 4090 but at the price of $2k with the new cards coming out, I feel I should return it and get this instead to save some money. The 4090 rips but i just want an enjoyable experience.
@@herroberbesserwisser7331 thanks for explaining
Do u get screen tearing in these games when testing them?

Should i buy the RX 7900 XTX or wait for the 8000 series? Heard they're focusing on the mid range market
Стоит однозначно покупать xtx
AMD is backing down from the high-end market for the 8000 series, so I recommend buying the RX 7900.
I tried turning AFMF 2 on in the adrenaline settings. But neither vsync, chill nor frtc actually limit the frame gen on my pc...
already graphically simple games fully utilize the GPU bcs it generates up to 500-600 fps instead of the 70/140 fps I put into the settings.

Nice to know!
I mean, it was never bad even with all the cores enabled but there were a couple of games where I saw major differences in favor of having the non 3d cores disabled.
