"Manic Monday", was written by Prince, and given to The Bangles!
She told on a podcast years later that he gave her the song hoping she would sleep with him. She refused but did go out to dinner with him twice. She said she refused to be pulled into his lifestyle and she was worried from the start that he wouldnt live long because of his drug use. Good for her!!!

Prince was impressed with The Bangles.
They rocked up Hazy Shade of Winter by Simon and Garfunkle. Vicki Peterson, lead guitarist had to adapt the original 12 string version to electric guitar. Also, in their video Going Down to Liverpool, it features Leonard Nimoy as their driver to a concert. Manic Monday is another great song.
Fun Fact: This song was inspired by the "Eternal Flame" that burns at the gravesite of Elvis Presley at his Graceland home. One of my favorite songs.

“In Your Room” is my absolute favorite Bangles song.
Even though this hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart (their final #1 hit), it would lead to the group breaking up because unbeknownst to the other members, the execs that had the power was pushing Susana Hoffs to the forefront (ala Diana Ross with the Supremes) and the three other members of the group all thought Susana had a hand in it, which she didn't and it led to them going their separate ways.

My daughter sang this better than they did and I loved the Bangles singing this song. My daughter was asked to sing this as a bridal waltz when she was around 12. Everyone watched her instead of the Bride and Groom. I miss her performing but this reminded me. Thank you.
