Don't Stand So Close To Me, Every Breath You Take, and King of Pain are my favorites. Best solo Sting songs are Fields of Gold, Englishman in New York, and I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying. All 6 are amazing.
Edited to fix song title. (Though I thought it was funny)

🔥🔥🔥💄💄💄 .. I knew you would like this one. The singer , Sting , is a major star. You will like many other songs from them. If you want a good laugh... check out the movie "48 Hours" from Eddie Murphy & Nick Nolte. Eddie sings this song in a great scene.

The drummer Stewart Copeland came up with the name “The Police”. He stated it was free band advertising because police cars were all over the world. *Easy for anyone to remember.

While Sting (the lead singer) gets most of the attention, the drummer, Stewart Copeland is also crazy talented. He plays a lot of innovative patterns. He's not playing standard rhythms.
The Police have lots of hits. They were so popular that MTV used them extensively in their famous "I want my MTV" commercials.

Oh man, The Police are legends. Their lead singer, Sting, had a very successful solo career after the band split. I believe you’ll be blown away by Stings song Desert Rose with Cheb Mami, a brilliant Algerian musician and singer. His voice is amazing, together with Sting, it’s magic. Fun fact, Sting was a school teacher before his music career.

*LOL* Yep, drunk is one word for it. When this song first came out, my friend group nearly ALL ended up in the ER with alcohol poisoning of the counting game. Between Roxanne and Every Breath You Take, and Message in a Bottle, most of us swore of booze for decades! It was way too easy, especially with how addictive The Police's sound was. I got to see them with my kids at their reunion tour in the early 2000s, and they were just as fabulous. Hadn't lost the energy, fire, and commanding stage presence A BIT! If you liked this one, try any of their catalogue (starting with the two above for popularity), then spread out to Sting's solo stuff - the lead vocalist has a ton of excellent songs that have a different vibe. My favorite of his is A Thousand Years, but again, you can't pick a 'wrong' one.

Concert tickets were cheap back in the seventies when this song dropped, but I never heard of The Police spitting on anybody. For that look to The Sex Pistols. At any rate, when you're ready for more from The Police, check out some of these "Message In a Bottle", "Walking on the Moon", "Bring On the Night", "Every Little Things She Does Is Magic", "Spirits In The Material World", "Can't Stand Losing You", "Driven To Tears", "Don't Stand So Close To Me" ...

Sting, Bryan Adams, and Rod Stewart, 3 legends together, singing All For One. A song from the movie The Three Musketeers from the '90s, with Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Oliver Platt, Chris O'Donnell, Tim Curry(my favorite) and Rebecca DeMornay. In my opinion, the best of the many Musketeers movies. The song is so beautiful, and the video of them singing it is funny.

Written by Sting. He is the lead singer here and plays bass guitar 🎸. Great 👍
Sting sang lead vocals and wrote all the Billboard Top 40 singles.
40 years ago, they released their final studio 🎙 album. The sing Every Breath You Take competed against the Michael Jackson songs Beat It and Billie Jean for Song of the Year for Billboard, the Grammys and AMA.
Suggested videos 📹: 1 The Police perform Every Breath You Take 2 Sting and Dire Straits perform Money 💰 for Nothing live in Live Aid.

Hilarious reaction as always. But I definitely have to call you out on the spitting thing. Really incredible live vocal performances are often all about spitting. I mean even go back to opera. You don't have microphones; they have pipes and they know how to project, and they put so much power behind their consonants to start words and phrases and some of them were well known for spitting for several feet while they were singing.
I can't tell you how many punk and post punk shows and even like really good high tempopp Blues shows and music like this where it's live, and the performer is just totally into it and you're going to salivate like crazy and you can only swallow for so long, might as well make it stylish while you do it, lol.

I loved "Every Breath You Take" (even though it's kind of a stalker song) especially the remix with P Diddy or Puff Daddy as he was then.. BUT, omg I hated this song! I'm old enough to have experienced "Roxanne" the first time around when it was released and it was played to death. Like every other song on the radio was THIS song. Of course I was also in the beginning of my metal head days then but still I was certainly open to other genres and listened to many. But. Not. This. Lol Edited to add "King of Pain" is also very good.
