I got my EPS Carry and EPS in November 2022. I carry the EPS Carry every day.
EPS carry will go on my 43X, probably next year.

The solar panel does not charge the battery!! It takes over powering the sight anytime there is sufficient ambient light. This greatly extends the battery life. I have a 507C GR and it works great.
I have changed the battery once due to a bad or old battery?? The battery changes out from the side by removing one screw and sliding out the tray. No re-zeroing is required after battery change!! Thanks for keeping me up to speed on all the developments from Holosun!! I enjoy your informative videos!!!

They don't say which ones but the ones they say with the super capacitors actually charge. 98% sure on that...

I just bought an EPS Carry for my G43X MOS. The 2 screws that came with it.... The left one was fine (port side if you're nautical) but the right side screw put a bind on the ejector spring thingy. In other words, the starboard side requires a slightly shorter screw than the port side.
No jokes. Sent my slide they got it on the 4th. Got the return email job done today w Fed X tracking. Should be in hand on the 17th.
Cant wait to see the work peoduct.

If I remember correctly, it was $660. That was for the optic, getting it cut, and shipped back to me.
Just keep in mind that the auto dim setting is better on the red dot than the green dot. Green dot doesn't auto dim in the brighter setting which makes the auto dim feature obsolete 😢
Bought a red one first and then 2 green ones. Love the green color for my astigmatism but love the auto dim on the red dot more. Sucks that Holosun doesn't express this before you buy.

I got the eps carry on a 43x mos. With standard height sights is tall enough for a lower 1/3 cowitness. In my opinion suppressor height sights covers too much of the window with this small of a optic.
Does it need a mounting plate (or dremel)? Or is it direct mount?

They just need to make the SCS for 43x. Went with a Riton MPRD2 to tide me over in case we have to wait a few years for a sight that is actually made for a slimline model. Solar like SCS is what we are holding out for on ours.

I love the EPS carry, but on my 43x mos the screw on the right side is a little too long.
I like this guy.
One big difference I've found between the Green and Red EPS Carry MRS units:
-Green: In Auto* Mode - You can set the brightness level manually. And if the ambient lighting gets significantly brighter (like going from indoors or outdoors) the reticle will Automatically brighten based on the available light. This is a HUGE benefit since you can set the "minimum" brightness level, but if the environment gets brighter, it will adjust accordingly.
-Red: In Auto Mode - Putting it in Auto mode prevents you from manually setting the reticle brightness, and the unit will only adjust based on available environmental light. Usually this means the reticle will be too dim indoors, with no way to adjust it.
How effective is the auto mode? Is the brightness adjustment INSTANT or does it take a second or two?
@@jasonlong8625I have a holosun 507C that I keep on auto mode, the adjustment is usually pretty immediate. With 1 second. But like this guy said, sometimes it can feel like the it dims down just a tiny bit too much when indoors, but not too dim to where you can’t see it. Also, it doesn’t do that all the time, but sometimes. Outdoors or inside when there’s pretty good ambient light, it brightens up just fine in my opinion. I still prefer it on auto mode especially when using it on my carry gun, as I’d rather not have to worry about adjusting it up or down in the moment I need it. I run it on my g19.3. I also have a g19.5 with trijicon RMR in auto mode, and it seems that trijicon has perfected the auto brightness better than holosun has so far. But holosun still isn’t bad!
Open Dot is pain in rear to keep clean when CCW IWB Find myself blowing Dot off especially after concealed all day.

Nice! I want the eps on my Glock 30 sf non slim slide. I’d like a red dot flush on the sides of my slide. Is the eps as wide as a 30 slide?

@@johnpollard9235 , it needs a plate. I did order sights that cowitnessed to my liking. I get my sights through Night Fision. They're awesome and you can order whatever height that you like.

@@darrinfry2251 bigger footprint. My understanding is the eps is a rmr footprint and the eps carry is the rmsc shield footprint.
Give me an idea what pistols are best for the EPS and EPS Carry. SIG 320 and SIG 365? Would this fit on existing 320 cuts?
I have two EPS carry’s, they are great. Probably 5,000 rounds between the two pistols with the dots mounted.
The only issues I’ve had is one had a bad battery that died quickly and a faulty mounting/adapter plate I had to modify a bit with a metal file.
Will it sit flush without a plate on the G43X?
@@gmhins011 I have mine on two Shield Plus pistols, I am not sure about the Glock. There is a video of someone modifying a Shield plus slide for it to fit flush with a metal file. If I can find that video, you could compare the end result after the file was used to the cut on your Glock slide to see if you’d think it will fit. I will post a link if I can find it and UA-cam allows it.
Lastly, even with the plate, on my shield plus with normal height night sights, I can still see the top half of the sights so you could line them up. The red dot is pretty darn low profile.

@@garyjustgary5059 I bought the simpler model without the solar panel. I honestly find the solar panel kind of silly because the gun:optic is rarely exposed to sunlight since I carry inside the waistband and it gets locked up when I’m not carrying it.
Battery life is 50,000 hours on medium brightness setting (over 5 years). I generally replace mine every odd year regardless. I’d say save your money get the cheaper model.

Any thoughts on the EPS carry on a 45 MOS? I'm hearing a lot of people say not to get the carry for the 45 MOS. Just can't find one in person to look at.

I bought my Holosun EPS from GlockStore and brought my Gen5 G21 MOS to the Nashville store for installation. None of the Glock adapters fit. Neither Glock nor Holosun are/have offered support. C+H makes one (GL-EPS) but they're backordered. You might be better off with a non-MOS and getting it milled. YMMV....
I just tried the Calculated Kinetics plate. It fit the Holosun but not the Gen 5 G21 MOS.
Update: Glock says "That is not an optic we tested or have plate knowledge of. Contact Holosun." Holosun says use the C+H GL-EPS plate.

For a Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS, would you go with an SCS or an EPS carry. Also does the EPS carry cowitness with the G19MOS stock, or would it need to be cut more/sights replaced?

The ONLY problem is glocks mos plates are flimsy. They bend when tightening down an optic to 11-13 inch/lbs and also specifically there are no plates that work for the G47mos. I dont feel like stacking two plates to fit an optic like the EPS/MRS on g47. What Holosun options for enclosed optic are there? The ACRO is just to huge and no plates for the now unavailable HE509T. Will the EPS Carry fit the g47? Seems no stores can figure out or dont know what works. Now I might need a new slide for my new fired twice 70 rnds, g47. I am losing faith in glock.

Those are the eps and eps carry Mrs version's. The standard versions only have the dot and not solar. I have the carry Mrs version and is awsome. Ofcoarse it's 100 bucks more from the standard but we'll worth it. P.s. your going to need shorter screws to direct mount it. Tactical development has them for 12 bucks. 😊

Question? Does Glock make a magazine that one can load with a push of a thumb, just like an AR? If they do, that would be great, but I have not seen one just yet.
That's a limitation of the design of most modern pistols. Basically double stack single feed (what glocks and most other pistols currently have) is way simpler to design for, but means it's a pain to load. Whereas double stack double feed (like ar mags, uzi mags, mp5 mags etc) is super easy to load but means you need to design the bolt (or slide of the pistol) to pick up rounds from two different locations.
Soem handguns have done it. Like the old steyr GB, but it's really uncommon.

Both.
For a Glock 19 would an EPS Carry or standard EPS be better?
The standard is for a G19. The carry is for the slim line or a P365
Technically either will work. The EPS carry will be completely flush with a Glock 19 slide and the Standard EPS will hang over a little bit but give you a bigger window.

I sent my eps carry mos in for rma due to terrible distortion. It came back and still had the issue. Literally looks like an oval. Very disappointed will be returning. No reviews talk about how distorted they are!

Holosun is junk. I have the 507k with a green dot and it's blown out. The dot looks like a star cluster
